stores in singapore - Touch Cruise Accessories

can you help me find stores in singapore selling case for polaris. a friend is going there this month and im asking him to buy for me. preferably capdase, pdair(aluminum or leather), noreve, & krussel.

Hi, I don't know if I'm too late.
In singapore, there are 2 malls famous for their IT products, Funan and Sim Lim.
I bought my leather case for my Polaris at Funan (level 2) for $25, and I think there are cheaper ones. Ground level has a few push cart stalls that sell the same thing too.
Sim Lim ground level has quite a lot of stalls that sell casings for all types of mobiles. Either the 5th or 6th level there is a shop called Million Mobile (or something to that effect) that has tons of mobile accessories, including Polaris cases.

bought one already couple of weeks ago, thanks anyway.

What is the cheapest place to buy an O2 XDA?

Hi,
Does anyone know a good place to buy a cheap O2 XDA?
Some people claim it can be bought (with no subscription) around 500 Euro's.
I was unable to find a place where I can buy them for that price.
A shop around Amsterdam would be nice, but online ordering is no problem too ...
Thanx ....
Try eBay.com
Thanks for the reply
Good thinking, but we can't buy them from e-bay.
We need more then one, all with receipt.
And I think the risk of not getting the devices, or
(slightly) broken/buggy models is too big.
try O2 shop in Holland if they have them
in the UK they are selling reconditioned 32mb XDA's for 99 GBP with contract (can be data only), missing a few bits - headphones and software, but you can get these separate anyway.
I just cancelled my O2 data contract and bought another XDA with standalone data contract with PAYG voice.
Regards
Tim
Whereabouts are they selling them for £99 Tim?
buy XDA
Try: http://shop.brando.com.hk/
I just bought one from them excellent service ,
I sent them money via Paypal and the device was FedEx to me the day after.
Asa.

You mean UK O2 shops are selling reconditioned XDA for 99 GBP ?
It's unbelievable.
yes 99GBP - I bought mine yesterday from O2 shop in Bluewater, (01322 623860) but I guess any of the larger O2 shops will do them - I didn't check the O2 shop in Lakeside which is smaller.
It had no headphones, leather case or software.
The headphones you can get for £20 GBP
Those horrible cases you can get for £20 GBP (or a decent one off ebay for $30)
and I have the software anyway - and would imagine you could obtain easily from this forum anyway.
It had the USB cradle, power plug - uk & european pins, little serial power adaptor, stylus x 2. The xda was in near perfect condition , only the label on the back was slightly lifted, where i guess the technicans have changed something. Maybe others will be different.
If you already have a 12 month voice contact, the data part is probably only 3 months. So i cancelled my data contract and will give the sim to someone and took out a new data contract (12 months if data only) with PAYG phone since i rarely use the phone (which most sales reps won't tell you - and the data contract works out £10 a month less for me anyway.
and now i just have to decide which XDA I keep, and sell the other one.
Regards
Tim
O2 is still selling these refurbished PDA for 99£ in all their stores I've seen in London.
I am worried about the absence of software.
What software usually comes, but is absent on the refurbished XDA?
Is it software to install on your PC/Laptop or is it softawre for the XDA?
Thanks

WOW 99 pounds I want one but without service - Possible ?
99 pounds WOW
I am really interested in finding out this software missing part .....
1- Please, let me know. If this software can be downloaded from somewhere around here then I would contact them immediately to buy one.
I don't need any service I just need the device. Is that possible ? is this price for the device only without any service ?
2- Is this tri-band !!
Thanks a million guys. This is a great piece of information.
Can't find anything for 99 GBP at http://shop.brando.com.hk/
I just went to their website but couldn't find any thing for 99 !!
so I emailed them [email protected] to ask.
GONE
No more. All gone.
Can some 1 in UK tell us how much will it cost to buy one in UK with the plan? I don't need the plan but it seems that this is the only way to get1, right?
There's nothing on their website but go ask in their shop
I've bought mine a month ago now for 99 pounds in London, in Hammermith Kings Mall, but the two shops on Oxford Street also had them for 99 pounds.
I admit I haven't checked since then, but when I asked last month they said this wasn't a temporary offer and it would go on.
They don't actually advertise them anymore, but just ask for the "REFURBISHED" XDA in the store!
As far as I can tell the "missing software" is the 2nd CD-ROM provided by Microsoft which contains Microsoft Activesync (and probably other free Microsoft software) which you can download for free from the microsoft website. http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/downloads/activesync35.asp
(version 3.6 is also available, but other users on this forum suggest you do not use it (yet))
It did come with the O2 CD-ROM
It did not come with the headphones, no replacement stylus, no leather case
It is NOT tri-Band
confusing response from O2
I went to the shop in Hammersmith this morning, they said they still carry the promotion but have no XDA "in stock" (read: none that have been brought back to O2 for "refurbishing") but when they will get some you'll still be able to buy them for 99£.
HOWEVER, i also called one of the shop in Oxford Street and they said they stopped selling them a "long time ago".
Sorry for the confusion, hope this helps.

I asked in the second O2 shop on Oxford Street, the one closest to tottenham court road ( Yes I know, I always go to the same places, ...)
They said the same thing:
- ...We don't have them any more
- But wil you continue the promotion if you get some more in stock?
- Yes...
He didn't say whether they were actually expecting to get any new ones in stock
I am not sure but...
somehow I get the feeling that the ease of unlocking has led O2 to change the strategy in selling these thingies.
On the other hand.....I just lost an online battle of command and conquer Generals. So there go my strategy skills
Robert
hi, i bought a xda unconnected from dixons for only £399
if you go into any dixons store, they will do a search for you across stores in the region, you must quote unconnected. (ex-display)
It would probably be cheaper to buy one on contact and throw the sim card.
12 months @ £15 per month = £180 + the cost of a phone.
If anyone does throw the SIM card, can I have it?

Tim

Asus Parts

I just got referred to this site by Asus to purchase a replacement uk clip for the charger as they won't replace my broken one.
http://www.asusparts.eu/index.php?cPath=222155_222301
Prices are pretty good until you add the DHL cost to uk.
€6.67 plus vat for the clip and €17.55 for delivery.
May be cheaper if your in mainland Europe though.
May as well go to asus uk and get the full kit for £24.99 plus £6 delivery.
All I gotta say is Europeans are annoying! They keep bidding on my ebay items even though I specifically said US bidders only. For example, I just sold a hard drive to a European bidder. My shipping price was 9.99, but that was for US only! It's been like 4 days and the guy hasn't paid yet, so I had to relist.
Last night, I was able to find the settings to block foreign bidders.
Annoying Europeans... why don't they buy locally? Why bid on hard drives half a world away?

Totally agree with you there.
I wouldn't buy from US or China etc due to the high shipping costs.
I myself sell to UK only yet still get requests from Spain, Germany etc etc even though it's listed as uk only.
There certainly are a lot of empty heads about
Anyway I just ordered the new charger from Asus UK at £30.99 inc delivery and paid by paypal.

Newegg: Evo View 4G $249

In case anyone's still interested in purchasing:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0EJ-0009-00001
Amazing that there have been so many deals for the View. Is HTC trying to kill off its stock? I absolutely love mine. The only thing I'd ask is for it to be slightly lighter, but aside from that, the hardware is absolutely perfect for me.
I was gonna buy it, but after looking at the reviews of the marketplace seller I just cant do it.
Seems like even the 5 star reviews were saying the seller was horrible.

Probably the majority of the users here with the View purchased theirs through through that seller - 1SaleADay. Most of us got it directly from the 1SaleADay website when they had it for sale there more than once. Yes, they're very slow and may not respond to questions, but it's because their products are dropped shipped. While it's no excuse for poor customer service, the fact is that they are merely a middle man selling the product. They don't actually have the product in stock at their own warehouses. It's wholly dependent on the company with the stock to get things shipped out. Again, it's no excuse, but it helps to provide a better understanding of what kind of company they are, along with how they're able to offer things cheaper than many other companies.
That said, everyone received their Views ordered through 1SaleADay in new, as-described condition (with the few exceptions that there always are when anything is shipped from any company). Purchasing through New Egg provides an added layer of protection for the buyer that none of us who purchased directly from 1SaleADay had. So if you really want one, I wouldn't let the seller put you off from buying it in this case. Generally I wouldn't say that for marketplace sellers (feedback is a great way to know who to buy from and who not to buy from), but in this case, it's a little different. It's a good price for a great device.

What is dropped shipped? I haven't heard that term before.
I got mine from eBay before Christmas from that one seller that sold 2000 in one day and then 3000 in one day the week after (bidallies I believe). No soft packing material, just cardboard, but mine arrived without a scratch. I'd say dealing with Newegg is the absolute best place to buy it, since you get their guarantee. It clearly says there is a 1 year warranty too, so that helps.

The all-knowing Wikipedia explains it better than I can:
"Drop shipping is a supply chain management technique in which the retailer does not keep goods in stock, but instead transfers customer orders and shipment details to either the manufacturer or a wholesaler, who then ships the goods directly to the customer. As in retail businesses, the majority of retailers make their profit on the difference between the wholesale and retail price but some retailers earn an agreed percentage of the sales in commission, paid by the wholesaler to the retailer."
So, the seller doesn't have the actual items, they ship from somewhere else, and the seller has little information on the items beyond what the manufacturer or wholesaler gives them. It definitely makes good customer service more difficult. It's not an excuse for the complete lack of customer service that 1SaleADay has however.
With the View, which ships from the U.S., this isn't so much of a problem. Pretty much everyone received their orders in a week to a week and a half. Where most of 1SaleADay's negative feedback comes from is much of the other stuff they sell, which is actually held and shipped from somewhere overseas (often China). Many of the items are sub-par, they break easily (often in transit), and it takes far too long for them to arrive. Before ordering my View, I had made two previous purchases through their site. The items arrived as described, and they worked just fine, but it took over three weeks for them to arrive. In addition to this, given the nature of how they do business, it's next to impossible to return anything through 1SaleADay or receive a refund. So, people buy cheap junk from them, it takes a month to arrive from somewhere overseas, and then when it doesn't work or breaks quickly, they're unable to get a refund or replacement, and in turn leave negative feedback (which is understandable). But sometimes, they do sell some good stuff, like the View. And I'd feel even more comfortable purchasing through New Egg because they have other customer protection measures in place.
Well I ended up buying the evo from newegg.
Im in no rush for it anyways. See how it goes
I ordered mine from 1saleaday and received it within 5 days of the order.

US Buyer Reccomendation

I am in the US looking to buy one of these. Any recommended sellers?
From xperia blog they recommend Clove and Handtec from the UK. Handtec seems cheaper (vs ebay for perhaps better returns/warranty).
I'd appreciate any recommendations from people here who have purchased.
Handtec sells for $572. Ebay is closer to $540
If I do get it from ebay (from taiwan or HK), could I run into issues with languages?

I got one from clove. No issues.
Sent from my Nexus 5X
I purchased mines at Plemix for $520 + $28 shipping. Also purchased a Z1 compact there with no problems. Shipping was within 2 days so that's a plus. Currently, there's a free 32 GB memory card special until the end of the month. Haven't really had any issues with them and never really contacted customer service so I can't say anything about that. Not too sure about the returns/warranty but there's info about that on their website.
Thanks. Although from some quick research on Plemix I see some mixed reviews. I'm sure most of these places online are fine if everything goes smoothly. Its really when something goes wrong (ie. item arriving damanged, DOA) to see how it is handled.
I've also noticed that Amazon UK has it for cheaper than Clove and Handtec. The Xperiablog article said AmazonUK does not allow VAT to be excluded but it was excluded when I added it to the cart. Actually, I notice I can buy directly on Amazon US for around $540. I might just do that.

Isn't the one listed on amazon from third party retailers like expansys? I wonder how they handle returns just in case.. any idea??
I got mine from Amazon for $550 and received it next day thanks to Prime shipping. No issues.
I ended up ordering through amazon as well. I decided to save $10 and get the non-prime option. Although I ordered it Friday and it came today. I just wasnt at home to sign for it. (Missed the guy by 10min)
I think the only issue will be if I need to send it back for warranty. I'll have to pay shipping both ways to Hong Kong or Taiwan or wherever the phone originated from.

I live in Australia and have bought the z1 and z3 compact from Clove UK, have bought other tech from Handtek, had no problems or issues with using Australia cell provider, support or anything. I now have the z5 compact which I bought from ebay Quality Deals Store on Ebay when ebay had 20% off store wide recently, got it delivered for a bargain $600 AUD. The phone came quick, set it up in English easy and it works on Australian networks etc. Couldn't be happier ☺
Amazon was perfect for me. These past two weeks has it seldom carry the Z5c as Prime... usually a seller ships some 10 devices to Amazon's warehouses (to be categorized as Prime) but those fly off the shelves. In the past two weeks I have seem some 60 Z5c as Prime to disappear within hours, but if you look daily, they are there.
If you are in the US, at $550 Prime is worth it over ebay's $540 in my opinion; faster shipping and 30 days possibility to return it.
do you need amazon prime account for it? is this different from 3rd party sellers on amazon?

Where to buy?

Finally decided to go for this over the Sony Smartwatch 3 (due to the dormant speaker) and Currys/PC World are out of stock online and don't stock instore. Struggling to find any sellers (UK), not even on Amazon UK. Where have all the UK people bought theirs from?
I'm in Italy and I bought it on Amazon.de, they should ship to the UK too
Still can't find stock! Checked Amazon. De and. Es and it's been listed as Pre Order only for a few weeks now. Seems like there's a supply chain issue? Unless they are holding them back until the update with speaker support

I'm in the UK and I ordered it from https://www.alza.co.uk/trendy/asus-zenwatch-2-sparrow-wi501q-gunmetal-d3020083.htm?o=2 who are based in Europe. Obviously the charger has a euro style plug on it, however as the USB charging cable is detachable from it you can charge it off pretty much any USB charger.
It took about 5 days to arrive with the standard shipping option, but the price is actually cheaper than ordering from PC World who have been out of stock for what seems like months.
I bought it form ejoker.de but they are out of stock now (they only have the smaller one now). On Amazon is on preorder since december. I cannot find any reseller in Germany that still has stock at the normal price.
Definitely seems to be something funny going on, unless they are waiting to release the next batch with the update so they can advertise the speaker, and maybe bump the price
I bought it from Amazon.fr and a friend of mine from amazon.es.
Hopefully they'll be available soon. I was planning on ordering the $129 stainless/brown band from Amazon with some birthday gift cards, so other sources aren't an option.
I ended up placing my order thru Amazon for the rose gold with leather strap. It was in stock and I didn't want to wait to see if the silver model would be available again. Should be here Wednesday.
