Does mute work on flip on your phones - Touch Pro CDMA

I have the sprint tp. On the GSM versions you can flip the phone, and it will mute the call. Mine does not do that. Does anybody elses phone allow for this.?

Works on mine.

I had to do a RegEdit to get mine back working..After I did it worked fine for me..

You bet works great!

Is it slow to mute when you flip the phone? Mine rings for another 2 seconds or so when I flip it over.

[Q] No In-call audio. Suggestions?

Hello XDA!
First, some background: A few weeks ago, my phone went for a swim. I let it dry for a few days and turned it back on, but the phone wasn't very reliable (time would run slow, half the time I couldn't make calls, and the 3G wouldn't work at all). The touchscreen however was perfectly fine. So I found an eBay auction where it seemed like everything worked except the touchscreen. I bought it, and transplanted my touchscreen onto it.
Unfortunately, while most things work, I don't have any audio coming out of the front speaker, meaning I can't hear people when I call them or they call me, and if I call them, I can't hear the ringing that goes on before the person picks up. I read on some forums this was potentially a software issue, so I reflashed the latest RUU, and got nothing. I flashed KaosFroyo v24 and still have nothing.
My current work around is to wear my headphones all the time with it (which isn't TOO inconvenient, since I listen to Pandora a lot). The microphone works. The speakerphone works (since it goes through the speaker in the back).
Does anyone know if it's possible to transplant that speaker as well? It seems unlikely since I'm pretty sure it is attached to the motherboard...
Thanks!

Flip for Speakerphone Working?

Can't get it to work and it is checked on in settings. Is there a trick to it? I've tried face down and face up and only while on outgoing call that is still ringing, not during a connected call. Is that the problem? That would seem weird to me.
Also, when I first started researching phones, one of the first ones I looked at had a feature that when you got a call if you turned it over it would silence the ringer. I have a feeling it was the Moto Droid though. Anyone know if there's an app to do that on the RZD or if I'm mistaken and it has that feature?
From my understanding, u must be in "normal" sound profile for flip speaker to work. Also the ringer does go silent* when u pick it up.
*maybe not silent, but ringer does get alot lower

It's in normal.
I haven't noticed that with the ringing but I'm thinking more of a silence the phone and ignore it sort of situation. Like if I'm at work or with a friend and the phone rings I can just turn it over and it will stop.
Mine works. I accidently got it to work actually. Sat the phone down while talking to someone then all of a sudden they got loud. Everytime I have tried it sense it has work.
was one of the first things I discovered on my rezound, and I love it. I use it quite often actually haha. There is a setting in the menu to enable or disable it, as well as the silence if you move the phone while it's ringing.
Settings > Sound settings under incoming calls
I used to have these extra settings checked, but i read somewhere that it drains the battery faster. Maybe the sensors detecting the orientation of the phone causes some battery drain, but im not positive about that.
It works really well on mine. If there's a battery issue, maybe you want to check what power settings you're in. I keep mine in performance, since that also seems to cause less problems with 4G turning off. Also check if your sensors are working, maybe with a tilt game or something similar. I've had it on the whole time and it doesn't seem like I get less battery life than what people report, at least not obviously.
Just tested this out, and it seems like the speaker phone flip and silence ringer flip only work when the phone is on a flat surface. The phone lowers the volume of the ring when you pick it up, but mutes it completely if you flip it face down on a flat surface. The speakerphone works the same way, at least I couldn't get it to activate without putting the phone down.

I tested the muting the rings when you turn it over and that worked, then when I answered it my friend hung up! She didn't know the second part of the test. lol. Then our food came and we stuffed our faces. Then we had to go to a stupid 3 hour safety training class that didn't apply to our department AT ALL. Oh well...
I wonder if it needs the sensor covered up as well as being turned over, the one that makes the screen turn off when you hold it to your ear.
Yep, I think that's it. If you turn it over and don't lay it on a table no speakerphone, but if you then just cover that sensor with your hand it goes to speakerphone. Problem with this function is when you turn it back over speakerphone turns off. Guess I'll just turn on speakerphone the old fashioned cumbersome way. Was hoping to just be able to flip it over and back. Oh well.

I was talking to a friend this evening, and he said this one sounded worse than my 3D, he stated he couldn't hear me that well.
I had that too but turns out the mic was covered by my finger. check your case and your grip

Phone Receiver problems

I've had my DNA for a full day, and I had a problem with the receiver. When I tried to make a call, I can see on the screen that it was placed and connected...but I couldn't hear anything. Not through the receiver or the speaker phone. This happened when I make a call or received a call. Has anybody else experience this problem with the DNA or any other HTC devices? I don't want to factory rest (which fixed the problem) my phone once a day just to use it.

I would take it back. Verizon offers 14 day returns on brand new phones.
I actually returned mine because of a microphone defection. No one could hear me when I called them. They heard my voice going in and out constantly.
The replacement, is absolutely perfect. So glad that I did it.

Galaxy S2- Microphone Goes Silent During call (hardware problem)

Microphone goes silent during call (hardware problem)
Hi guys, I had this problem for a long time, i want to make the story very short. My microphone becomes silent after 1 minute of use. I used the stock voice recorder to check it without the need to call someone. People get annoyed because they can't speak to me. Sometimes the microphone is silent from the very beginning of a conversation. I hear them well but they can't hear me. Once i've changed the mic flex cable/usb port plate and it looked like it worked fine for about a month. Then the problem came back. Could it be the motherboard? Did anyone experience something similar? I had to repair my camera right after buying it second hand. The technician told me the phone was in touch with water after he replaced the back camera.
bump. Just to add, weirdly my speakerphone doesn't work during calls, i don't hear people when its on, and my GPS is useless, it never finds any location. Could it be the motherboard? Pls i need your help.
