HI ALL
I AM IN BIG PROBLEM SINCE MORE THAN ONE YEAR
MY PROPHET JAMIN G4 STCKED IN THREE COLOR BOOT SCREEN
AND I HAVE THIS ON THE SCREEN
IPL 1.000
SPL 2.20.001
ALL THIS HAPPENED AFTER I WAS UPGRADING AND I THINK I USED AN INCORRECT SOFTWARE
I TRIED MANY AND MANY AND MANY ROMS AND I READ ALL POSTS AND I TRIED HARD REST AND I DID EVERY THIN AND IT IS IN BOOT ,OADER AL THE TIME EVEN THE ROMS MAY PASS TILL THE END AND SAY CONGRATULATION AND ON PHONE 100% BUT AGIN WITH RESTART IT IS THE 3 COLOR SCREEN
I THINK I PUT G3 ON G4 DEVICE IS THERE ANY SOLUTION

Hä, do you think the Moderator l3v5y is no expert. I don`t know your problem, pardon, you can read in this tread, how do you wakeup your prophet. If this not go, than you must bring him in prophetclinic, or when you have no money than you have no luck.

hi am from k.s.a i had the same proplem but if you dawnload the orignal rom from i-mate web site ftp://ftp.clubimate.com/ it may work i did tray a lot of roms none of them workd exsept the one from the site.

Expert only?
Search this site and you will find the original ROMS that came with your phone. you will allways have to downgrade to restore it! I have had many HTC go wrong on me. I use an old trusty favourite Prophet_4.0.0.0.4_PV.zip Good luck!
Just Click on the first link, follow the steps and you can go.
Just go to bootloader,
DO HARD-SPL
Then flash again!
and u can drive away with your new OS on your old Prophet! xD

i think no one understand me here in this post i am sayig i have ipl 1.000
and spl 2.20.001 so i have ipl for g3 on my spl g4 i mate jamin so any one have solution or i will destroy this mobile
I just think, you need to try to install the original jamin rom again.
or just Qtek rom: http://www.qtek.nl/_BIN/PRO_DT_WWE_220734_2207114_026121_Ship.zip
then it will be ok. and you can try to upgrade again

I have looked that page already and I found some roms and I tried to install them when it goes to install it says from this image to other image and i click next than my phone goes on hibernation/standby and on my computer i get an error saying CONNECTION ERROR
I tried on xp as well as on vista but samething and my phone is ROGERS.CA
any suggestions ??

Read the wiki, and through a bunch of the threads here in the forums, there is a bit more to it than just running a program. Unless your just upgrading to the factory shipped rom.
You don't want to brick your phone! If your having troubles now, just imagine how it will be if your phone doesn't work at all!

I have an Imate jamin.. and i installed wm6.1.. everything was goin good..but lately i installed and other rom on it and now it doesnt go forward... it is stuck on the start screen... i need help!!! and i need to download nvid(no vendor) aku 2.2!!!

Not to worry mate ...if u can get the start screen it means ur phone is alive and still have chances to recover it
Pls read the wiki. roll back to WM5 if required..always remember to chk if ur device is G3 or G4

Upgrade from to What ROM? please explain in detail.
And you need to read the guide first, because as far as I know, you haven't HardSPL your device.
If you still see the bootloader (three color screen) it means the device still can be recover.
i tried to upgrade it from WM5 to this Blue manilya romhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=449283

BUT AS I cHANGED SPL TO 1.07 OREF , by SD CARD METHOD ,IT IS STUCK AT TRICOLOUR SHOWING

I AM UNABLE TO FLASH ANY ROM SHOWING ERROR (300) INVALID UDATE TOOL
THE UPDATE UTILITY CAN NOT BE USED FOR YOUR PDA PHONE . PLEASE GET NEWER UPDATE UTILITY.

Why did you had the itch to use the orefkov spl? its for new gene only and if olipro spl was working then it means you have an old gene. I dont know why you guys get so experimental that you dont care to read any instrusctions etc. Atleast 50 times it is written on this forum only that downgrading a device's spl or onbl makes it unbootable and you may have to take it to the service center.
I think the only way you can get your phone back is to use the JTag method, or take it to the service center.

Now this is really bad thing. Olipro is a genious so outstanding that you cant even imagine. Have you cared to read half of his posts? He and Orefkov are the ones because of whom we gene users were able to get Wm 6.1 on our mobile.he has done so much for the windows mobile community be it gene or kaiser or any other phone. If you dont have the patience to read threads, its your fault not Olipro's. He has designed the SPL for old gene and he is not responsible if you use it in a wrong phone. Designing an SPL is such a pain in the a** task that you cant even imagine i think. Its a developers forum, not some non-profit public service station where you can get services for free without doing anything. Of course you dont have to pay for most of the stuff, but the cost really comes as the time to read all the stuff here.
So never use that kind of words for people who you dont even know and what they have done for this world. Thats really bad of you man

Who in the world asked you to use the SPL designed to work on a OLD gene on your device...stop using these kinda words on developers who spend a whole lot of time in giving something good for our phones....
Your phone is bricked cos of you and not cos olipro designed something to work on OLD gene....

my brother gave me his old mobilephone yesterday. He told me that he hasn't flashed it.
There ist the old WM 5.0 on it, so i want to flash a new rom. I read some turorials which told me that it is difficult to flash a G4 Wizard.
Now the problem : when i start the mobilphone it shows me : IPL 3.08.001 & SPL 3.08.001.
Is it true that i can't flash it with this versions??
Can I downgrade them?

hello there, in fact i have helped a friend to flash his WIZARD with the same IPL/SPL as yours.
So it worked 4 him, i hope you can flash yours as well
by the way if planning to flash remember to have a full battery charged

hello there, in fact i have helped a friend to flash his WIZARD with the same IPL/SPL as yours.
So it worked 4 him, i hope you can flash yours as well

you can flash your G4 Wizard without almost any problem if you follow the instructions correctly. Remeber to use only custom rom without IPL/SPL or you'll endup with a paper weight. HardSPL is not safe as far as I know, only SoftSPL.

first read all the manuals you can find on this site, if need assistance tell me!
just one more thing:
get a beer, or a cig, coffe perhaps, because the procedure is going to take about 7 mins (depends on your Computer) dont worry, if the flash procedeure stops at 99% relax, is pretty normal (it will finish in some more secs)

I have htc p3400 and i tried one time before to install windows mobile 6.0 or 6.1 (Step by Step) with "Krazy" Thread.. it was stuck on (Smart Mobility) black screen but i can go to bootloader by pressing hold on camera with power, then i install something for unstuck or i don't know exactly then it's just stop the phone and when i power on (Red and green led is lighting once) even i tried to hard reset with many times and many ways "NOTHING". i already go to agency and ask them to fix it.. it's already fixed now but i really boring again with WM5.. i want WM 6.0 or later while i ask them but they really said we have only this one as standard and sure there no upgrade for this model.
*(sure what i did is wrong maybe and really i respect Krazy and how he explain all thing) it's great

Read the tutorial again....
and perform each each step carefully as sometime there is no going back.
Also check whether u have a new gene or old one using the date method

I really unlock my phone before and the spl is change to something like (0.07)..as i read in the step by step thread.. but wich rom is best for me.. what's the best for unlock.. cus u know there's many threads here and really i'm confused as each one is preffered his rom and his copy.. so just i need to learn more from trusted friend like you to tell me HOW, WHO and WHICH? ..

The choice of ROM depends on your taste
Some prefer to use clean ROMs which offers more free RAM
on the other hand some prefer ROMs with better GUI and apps which will offer less free RAM.
In my opinion u should go and check all the available ROMs (thanks to ROM cookers) and find what u want, like what applications u need (u use) etc.
