Vaja cases - any fit well to HD ? - Touch HD Accessories

No one has mentioned the excellent vaja cases (http://www.vajacases.com/). I've had several and most recently a "Hermes" / Tytn one. This I'm now using on my belt for the HD but it is an untidy fit as the HD is so much thinner.
Vaja don't have one for the HD - but has anyone found another Vaja case that is a better HD fit? Perhaps a different phone has similar dimensions to the HD ?
Although the Vaja options are expensive and cost a bit for shipping from South America the quality is the best I've ever seen and also the fit is always very good and not so bulky like many of the other brands.
Thanks for tips ...

Im loving the Iphone 3G flip cases, very slick. Hope they release something similar for us.

I have spoen to vaja directly and they do not intend to carry a touch hd case in the near future......its a shame.

Thanks for checking. Yes, a big shame - but maybe one of the other Vaja cases fits well to the HD ????

Yeah I just had a mail back from them too :
Hi,
At present that model is not in our immediate manufacturing plans.
Anyway, thank you very much for your interest in our cases

I'm not convinced that wont change though, Microsoft really seem to be running with the Touch HD as their flagship WM phone, Iv'e seen so many banner ads for WM featuring it recently.

That's so disappointing! Their iPhone 3G cases look awesome, I'd love something similar for the HD. I'll keep my fingers crossed...

Vaja cases for Iphone 2G fits ok
Iphone 2G size: 115 x 61 x 11.6 mm
HD: 115 x 62.8 x 12 mm

Touch HD Armband???

Is there any out there? ot an Iphone one that fits....
Me too - I tried the belkin iPhone ones in teh shop but they seemed too tight.
Anyone?
i was looking too.. anyone know? iphone ones are too tight and poorly made. opening it harsh. no way HD will fit.
I am getting one that is for the 1st generation iPhone, and it is not from belkin. Will try to see if it fits when it arrives
Pics too please!! thanks
any news on this yet???
Belkin
I'm using the one from Belkin intented for the Iphone. It's tight but better that if you want to use it will running , but perfectly usable.

i also have the Belkin one. perfectly useable, if a little tight to remove. Downside is that bits of my Belkin case itself peel off (nothing to do with HD)
tunebelt
I use tunebelt that I got bundled with my run.gps software....The touch HD fits in fine (its not tight, but it holds the touch HD securely enough) and its got a clear plastic 'screen' so you can change tracks or monitor your running software without stopping. Its made of neoprene too which I find is comfortable while running. I hope this helps.
Heres the link:
http://www.rungps.net/wiki/NeopreneBeltAB8
P.S. I also highly recommend the run.gps software if you are running outside with the armband...it is amazing.
Hey guys,
think this should be the same as linked by 'smit happens':
Amazon:

Is there a hole on top then for the headphone jack?
There is on the bottom (three of them), since the device is held upside-down.
hi guys, at this current time there is not enough demand for manufacturers to warrant designing an armband specific for the HTC Touch HD.
For those who have been using those armbands designed for the Iphone ie
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Black-Sport-Armband-Case-For-iPhone-3G-4GB-8GB-16GB-AU_W0QQitemZ180360705479QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_MobilePhoneAccessories?hash=item29fe55f5c7&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
Have you found these armbands a reasonable substitute product for the Touch HD, albeit a little tight from what the other posts have indicated?

Looks like smit happens' link is the winner but seems like no stock worldwide!!
This is what I have been looking for for a while, especially when geocaching in winter at night, when I need 4 hands to hold HTC HD, operate it, hold flash light and blow my nose
I just ordered one from http://www.rywirelessheadphones.com/product/TB-AB8
for $26 inc shipping and taxes.
went into the store and tried belkin arm band (the newer updated one piece model and the older model) the older model was made of a different material, so you can get the phone in and out with some persuasion. the newer one piece model made out of a more synthetic rubber material requres some sheer brute force to get the phone in and even more so to get it out. regardless because there are no purpose made touch hd armbands i've purchased a cheap itouch version from ebay with the hopes due its lack of perfect fitment my hd will slot in a bit easier for a fraction on the price of a belkin case.
Zune
I use a armband for a zune player. It works well. I use it with the gps function when running. I use sportypal.com its a free service.
the best, i think
i´m using this one... ;-)
http://www.rungps.net/wiki/NeopreneArmbandABX2DE
it works fine.
the ABx2 looks like a better option than the ab8, as it has less gaps for water ingress.
pity it's not available anywhere except rungps.
[edit] ah I see it's not a tunebelt.. it's one they've had made, I've ordered one anyway.
I've just bought this one :
http://cgi.ebay.com/1-1-Sport-Armba...3.l1177&_trkparms=240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50
Looks like the new one found on rungps ... but less expensive
The touch hd perfecly fits inside ...

ikonic edge pouch (handmade from New-Zealand fine leather)

Have anyone ordered the ikonic edge SuperSlim case for the THD??, it's originaly desgined for the iphone 3G, but as it's 100% genuine leather it can be stretched a little bit to fit the THD.
Moreover, I've contacted them to ask if it fits the THD. And here is the reply:
-----------Quote
Yes the dimensions are almost identical.
In fact I have had a few customers who has bought one
for the HTC. There is no reason why it shouldn't
be a very good fit. I don't have the inner dimensions
but going by the size it will fit the HTC.
iphone 3G Dimensions:
(115.5 by 62.1 by 12.3 mm)
# Weight: 4.7 ounces (133 grams)
HTC Touch HD Specs:
* Dimensions: 115 mm x 63 mm x 12 mm
* Weight: 146 gms

The leather and design is nice. wondering anyone use to before i get one.
Very nice, makes me proud to be a Kiwi. Was going to order one and in NZ$ and get it sent but works out I would only save a few £ due to the terrible sterling rate
provide information about the fitting of the phone once you get hold of this leather pouch. the temtation of this case is raising from me.
Anyone bought this case yet? please advise if the fitting is not too tight for HD.
Well, since no one reponded yet here is a reply I got from Ikonic Edge regarding this matter:
Hi
We have sold a number of these to HTC
Touch owners as the dimensions are almost
the same. So it fits just as well with the HTC.

I am planning on ordering one when I get my HD
Browsing through the site, these cases seem very good quality. One question that occurs to me though; if they're made for the fruitphone, the 'speaker opening' that they tout in their description won't be in the correct place for our HDs.
I have ordered an ikonic edge Super-Slim Card pouch (iPhone 3G) tan colour for my Blackstone.
I will post some pics and short review as soon as I receive it
Hi, any pics yet?
No not yet, didn't receive it yet, hopefully tomorrow!
I'll let u know
you may not hear any ringtone at all
the speaker of HD is on the back not like iphone on the side

There's nothing to worry about as far as the ringing tone goes. I have several different leather pouches designed for Iphone that work perfectly with HD. And since Touch HD actually has the loudest speakerphone out of the whole touch-screen bunch, I can confirm that keeping it inside leather pouch does not affect ringing volume.
I actually noticed that the default HTC soft pouch muffles the sound more then the leather ones.
As for the dimensions, most Iphone accessories will fit Touch HD as well. Only possible problem is that HD is slightly fatter at the bottom, so some stretching may be necessary.
No pics yet???
yeah any updates on this case? interested in getting one but wanted to know from someone who already has one.

Which case?

I was going to buy this Piel Frama case for my Rhodium, but I can't really see from the pictures whether I have access to the mini-USB or not. Anyone who can enlighten me? Can I use my headset while using this case?
Of course, I could upgrade to this wonderful case, but it is more expensive ordering from Spain, and it does look a lot more bulky than the classic model. EDIT: Ordering from Norway, it's around 400 NOK for the Classic case from the US vs close to 700 NOK for the iMagnum one from Spain.
Alternatively I have been looking at this PDair case which is a good deal cheaper, but I haven't found any reports on its durability and general usefulness yet. Did anyone here try it out? If so, is it any good?
While searching for the others I also found an aluminum exoskeleton of sorts and it does look cool I think. It doesn't add too much size and weight to the TP2, so it might be a contender as well. Again I ask for opinions
Hy
when i bought my TP2 i got a case very similar to the second one you post (this wanderful case)
i never used it.
it makes the Ppc huge. extremely unconfortable.
at the moment i am using a case which was designed for iphone or something like that.
it has a clip for the belt and a hook that goes on the jeans. it's basically like one of that sock but a bit better.
it's much slimmer, easy to access, secure and when i use the phone i don't have the case attached.
my suggestion is not to buy that cases, but go into some shop and try some up

That aluminum case looks like the tp2 would slide around in there. I've tried a few cases, but they all added too much bulk. Did find a cheap clear plastic one, and it's awesome. Looks great, fits better than any other ones, and adds hardly any bulk. CHeck this thread out.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=578050&highlight=clear+hard+case
This is what I have. It does add bulk to the phone but has saved my phone twice already.
http://www.amazon.com/Body-Glove-Elements-Rubberized-Tmobile/dp/B002JQRW68
Comes in 2 configurations, 1 for belt clip and other for pocket. You cannot have both as there is a notch at the back which is interchangeable depending on how you want to use the case.
* Another thing, I believe this case was designed more for the Touch Pro 2 for t-mobile as I don't have issues like the other reviewers had.
Tmob Version TP2 seems to be an Orphan amoung case makers
I am in the same boat trying to find a nice case that my phone does not have to be removed from to be used. In the past I went with Krusell cases and that was great for many years and different devices now the Krusell for the TP2 is known to be junk.
I would buy Piel Frama magnum from your post If I had the Reg Ver Tp2.
http://www.pielframa.com/htc-touch-pro-ii-imagnum-cases.htm
Unfortunately I have the USA T-mobile Version of the TP2 and this phone is turning out to be the bastard orphan amoung case makers.
I have narrowed it down to two cases and would like any opinions for my Tmob TP2

a small rant.........
With so many versions of the same model phone the waters are becoming murky. I wish they would just give them different Model Numbers and Names.
Thanks and Best of Luck with the search for the best case for our phones.

Just got my Touch pro2, with a htc pouch and htc case.
Case is fine, but I dislike to have to open it to get the phone out. Also, I can't use the usb while in the case, another deal breaker.
The pouch is better, but would like more protection.
What I found perfect is the slide case I got with my Touch pro. Sure one can get better protection, but considering how fast was to use the case and how small the case is, the phone looks like new without any scratches.
Any recommendations for such a case?
Last night i purchased ...
...the clear acrylic case from the AT&T store. It is a 2 piece case that snaps on AND has a touch sensitive screen protector. I do not like the plastic belt clips as I have bumped/snagged them on things and broken the clip. I prefer a holster type case (horizontal) as i carry another object directly on my side/hip.

Advent Vega Cases

Advent Vega Folio Case
I have had my Advent Vega for around a month now and have been concerned about keeping it safe. So a trip to Curry's i picked up the advent vega folio case.
First impressions of the case were good the device slides nicely into the case (although it could be a bit tighter) Giving good protection to the edges of the device. I am confident it would protect from light knocks and possibly minor drops.
There are cut outs for the i/o ports, even the microphone is visible. One of the few bad points is there is no cut outs for the speakers, so the volume needs to be increased.
The material is similar to my v-smart Armour case for my desire hd, a matte black with a textured finish. The pinstripe design inside is odd but not unattractive and there is a compartment for paperwork. The case also doubles as a easel, which is great for propping on the desk or coffee table for movie watching.
Overall, I think this case adds a small amount of bulk for the level of protection and for anybody with any worries about damaging there beloved advent vega, this is a must buy
Edit: Added some pics. Sorry for the poor quality
I am searching daily for a TPU gel skin/case for the vega or its various other variants, but so far I've had no luck, If anyone sees any around then pls let me know!
Hello all
The stock case from dixons et al was to expensive to ask for me xmas pressie.
Is it worth it?
Ive seen other cases at a similar price with a usb keyboard build in, anyone got any experiences of those? (with the usb fix obviously).
or, is the std vega case worth the outlay?
Im also more interested with pound shop ipad screen covers than the 12! pound dixons/curries/pcw ones.
Again, any personal experiences?

I got one of these HP Sleeves from DIXONs, about £21
this was after hearing that the cost v quality of the Advent case wasn't all that..
Its a well made sleeve, its neoprene so fairly water resistant I assume and the Vega rests on it nicely at the right angle for viewing and typing into without slipping off..
I'm really happy with the official case as it offers some decent functionality and a good bit of protection.
Just need to get a dock now!
Definitely looking at getting a folio style case like the official Vegas one, though that one's a bit expensive at the moment. They should really realise that people paying a budget price for the device itself aren't likely to pay a premium for the accessories.

Two days ago I tried the official Toshiba Folio 100 case on my Vega (Mobii 10) and it fitted very well!
And it serves as a stand too!
(look here and click on accessories)
I didn't buy it because of the price: € 39,99 (about 33 GBP)
And I would really love a case with a USB keyboard...
I guess there's none yet that fit's the Vega perfectly without blocking the USB port...

Advent Vega Folio Case
I really dont think £29.99 is a massive amount for a case. Most cases i get for my mobile phones are between £15-£20 and they are about 1/6th the size. I think the official case offers good value for the protection it offers.
Hey
I have the Advent case. I got it from my brother as a Christmas present. When I got it the Vega fit pretty snug and I didn't have to worry about what way I carried it. however after not even a month the Vega now slips out quiet easily.
For the price I'd have to say not worth it and I'd hold off for alternatives

That one from 7dayshop is for an iPad which is quite a bit smaller, so wouldnt expect that one to fit.

Never saw one, also looking for one for ages.
I am thinking about making my own, by neatly wrapping the viewpad 7 in Saran Wrap (plastic cling wrap) and then coating it or "dipping" it in something called "plasti dip" found in Home depot, Lowes, etc.... Just need some time to experiment with it...

Continuing the quest to search for a silicone case and/or screen protector - no luck yet, but -
just came across 2 new eBay listings for Viewpad 7 only (not for the 7e, 7x, etc.) - prices are in U.S. dollars:
This is $9.75 with free shipping within US - looks good & has openings for the rear & front camera, very similar to the stock one - maybe just a tiny bit smaller in overall size, good for slipping into a jacket or daypack, etc.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ViewSonic-V...?pt=US_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item1c2231f2ff
This is pricey at $32.99 + $3.99 for shipping - looks nice, real leather, custom openings & slots, kind of "designer" verison - not sure if anyone wanted to spend that much.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cover-Up-Vi...er_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item27c1d094d1
My stock one is showing some normal wears & tears, playing too much Angry Birds & Mahjong on it lately, but fortunately, the multi-touch screen is holding up nicely as it's well protected when not in use - not a scratch on it, yet.
If anyone plan to get one soon, please post feedback & share - thanks & Happy New Year !
Too bad there are neither soft silicone or hard bumper cases available anywhere for the Viewpad 7, as far as I know (local Viewsonic salespeople didn't know of any either) . The original heavy "book covers" are just too thick to be practical for daily use at the office. I'm a fan of the 7" size, it's almost identical with the larger Moleskine notebooks I favor, and the awful covers just make using the VP7 unbearable.
Being just as slippery as one other Foxconn smartphone with a fruit and a number "4" on it, the VP7 really needs something to prevent it slipping from your grip.
I recently dropped one Viewpad on a tile floor. The screen was neatly cracked from one corner and after having the glass replaced, I would hate to go through the trouble (and the cost) again...
Any help finding a suitable protector would really be appreciated. I'll let you know, too, if I happen to find out something.
