Will SDHC work?? - Touch Pro CDMA

Searched and found nothing....will an sdhc card work in our TP or do we have to stay with sd?? I was about to buy a 8GB but then thought it might not work. I assume the sdhc will be fine, but didnt want to waste money. Thanks

it works perfectly.. i have a sandisk 16gb micro sdhc and never had problems..

Great, thanks!!

Why does the HTC Touch Pro spec not say microSDHC? That is a bit confusing. http://www.htc.com/www/product/touchpro/specification.html

Thats why I questioned it. Ordered me an 8GB class 6 yesterday though

What you read somewhere else is that sometimes the flashing of certain packages doesn't play well with SDHC. I have a 2 GB SD on standby just in case. The device runs the 8GB SDHC just fine all day.

Shift compatible sd cards

Does the shift support the SDHC Class 6 Memory Card or just the standart sd memory card?
If yes what which one do you recommend? Thanks
I hope so! I have a 16gb SD card coming on Wedenesday!!!
I read somewhere else (it was a review on the internet) that an 8gb SDHC card was used to test movie playback and there were no issues.
I'll report back here on Wed/Thurs regarding my findings with a 16gb SDHC Class6
it does, I have one and it workes like a charm.
Yep, mine work a treat. Not a fast as I hope as I bought a Class 6 16gb SDHC. Most I've seen is 3.4MB/sec (writing) when its in the slot. If I use the SDHC card in the USB adapter I purchased, I see 14-16MB/sec!

I've just bought a 4GB Kingston SDHC class 6 and I'm gutted as the Shift isnt picking it up at all. Tried a standard 256MB I had lying around and it works no problem. Anyone else had problems?
what brand?

What brand/model of 16 GB SDHC did you buy? I am looking for one compatible to buy...
I've an AData Class 6 16gb SDHC, and it works very well on my Shift.

I can confirm the Transcend class 6 16GB SDHC card works fine as well.

This one mate!

Thank you for your response! Not expecting such a quick reply I have already bought one beeing convinced by the seller of the possibility of replacement in case it would not work properly...but it happened to be exactly the same card; what intuition !
When inserted, my SD card sticks out by about 3mm. Is this true for everybody, or have I been unlucky enough to have bought a 'long' SD?
R U joking? Don't worry it is like that...otherwise it would be rather hard to press it if you wanted to unplug it...relax my mate

I'm glad I searched this thread...i just found this 32GB sdhc class 6 card

Since no one has updated from a year ago on gerardo66 question,
Can anyone confirm if "TOPRAM" is a compatible make (or a reliable card)?
If not, is there a better manufacturer that anyone favors?
Transcend class 6 32GB SDHC on Shift
Just got my 32GB card today.
I can confirm the Transcend class 6 32GB SDHC card works fine as well (for the few hours I've had it in the Shift).
I am only getting 5MB/sec max write speed from stock HDD to SD card, read speed is fast though!

problems with 16GB micro SDHC

Hello,
I'm now on my second 16GB micro SDHC card, the first one by CoreMicro, and this one by A-Data and both are having the same problem. My Rhodium, with a stock rom, will stop detecting the card after a random period of time, or really quickly if a program is constantly accessing the memory card, such as with music or an audio book.
This has never happened with my 8gb Transcent micro SDHC card, and since its happened twice with cards from 2 different manufacturers, i'm thinking its not the cards, but the Rhodium itself.
Does anyone know of anything that might be causing this problem or how to fix it?

Thank you for that. I guess we can add 2 more brands that dont work: A-Data and CoreMicro. Sigh...
Did you format the card accordingly?
Google panasonic sd format. Use that program as it formats the card correctly using the correct allocations.

I have been using a 16 gb A-Data as well, on my VZN (CDMA) TP2 without problems.

My A-Data 16GB class 6 card caused no problems in normal use or with Navigon 7. The problems only occured in MP3 playback, but for that use where very reproducible.

Good I just bought one. Decided to buy it over the transcend although my transcend 8gb worked better than my adata 8gb. Seems to be the opposite going on by what people have been saying on the thread. Will check back in if there is a problem with it.
I have been using a RiData 16 GB Class 6 for over a month without a problem on a Telus TP2
I would think it is a problem with the TP2.
I used my Adata 16GbC6 in the TP2 and had problems. Stuck it in my Canon camera and had no problems with it at all.
RMAed replacement arrives from AData today. Will see if I did in fact have a fault card. Doubt it.
I have a Verizon TP2 and am using an A-Data 16GB class 6 card with no problems. Heck, I didn't even format it before use.
I am having similar problems with a sandisk 16 GB class 2 on a Verizon TP 2. I'd like to try a newer Sandisk however to see whether that helps it. I can't find any class 6 Sandisks though. Are they not out yet?
I had a sandisk 16gb card which was fine, but somehow it got corrupted so I bought an ADATA card. it works fine EXCEPT I CANNOT flash roms off it. my device doesnt see it at bootup. very strange (so I have to install ROMS off an older card).
Any thoughts anyone?

I can confirm that I am having the same problems with my a-data 16 gig card class 6..
Problem: Can't flash from sd card with 8 gig nor from the 16 gig class 6.
The transcend card and sandisk it works like it should.
Anyone else have this problem from a-data

Memory Card Help

I purchased a Kingston 8gb class 4 card for my Hero, but have had loads of problems with it from being very slow and sluggish, to not even being able to show all my photos or even all my folders!
The seller is going to provide a replacement, but I am thinking of getting refund and am wondering whether I should go for a Samsung class 6 or stick with a SanDisk made one, as I have also heard they are reliable.
Any ideas / thoughts please?
i'm using SanDisck 8GB micro SDHC class 4 with no problems, i think theres a problem with that one piece

MicroSD Cards - Plus / High Speed?

Hi guys,

was wondering if someone could offer me advice.
planning to get a 8GB+ SD card for music, picture and tom tom.

i have my eyes on this one and was wondering if the 'plus' really makes a difference

I have a Transend 8gb class 6 which has been working great for me for Tom tom etc.
I guess anything like Sandisc, Transend or kingston as long as it is class 4 or above would work fine.
I dont know about Samsung as i only saw them recently, but i checked out the one you linked and it looks good, Class 6 and waterproof! LOl what more could you want!!?
EDIT it looks like the Plus is the difference of class as they also sell a class 4 without the "plus"
Also..thanks for the link!

Yeah, I have the same transend card, and it's been working great since day one....but after seeing the one jasonchiu linked, I know what kind I'll be buying the next time I need a SDHC card!!
waterproof??? That IS pretty sweet! And that's not out of the price range of most other 8GB class-6 cards, so it sounds like a no-brainer to me!
like everyone else i was looking for the fastest largest and cheapest sdhc card
i settled on one that is the cheapest, 40 bucks for 16gb, sandisk brand.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001L1H0SC
its not that slow as its not like i am streaming hd video off the card to begin of, it is enough for picture and music and video.
only down side, when i have to copy the pictures off the card, it takes longer than my class 6 4gb card
i this economy i am happy with the 40 bucks 16gb deal
Try the A-DATA 16GB Micro SDHC Class 6.
Works great and much faster than my old Sandisk 8GB Class 2.

Aren't most memory cards pretty much unaffected by water anyway?
You can put them through the wash and, as long as they don't get broken, they'll be fine.
*Disclaimer: I accept no responsibility for any problems arising from putting memory cards in the wash!*
I'm a little confused. For lots of people here it seems to be important to have a CLASS 4 or CLASS 6 MicroSDHC Card. I am using a Sandisc 8GB Micro SDHC CLASS 2 card eversince for Tomtom, Music and Movies. The card is 90% full and I have never ever experienced any delay or problem of speed.
So, I'm just wondering, why so many people here would want to have a CLASS 4/6 card !?

Speed, my Tilt2 reads my A-DATA Micro SDHC Class 6 much faster than my Sandisk Class 2. While I did not use a stop watch to clock it but the extra speed is very apparent.
I am in the market for a new card ... currently on a sandisk 6gb class4 card I took away from my wife's blackberry. I need to get it back to her ... and right now I am lusting after that new 32gb from Sandisk. But at class2, I'm concerned about speed. I'm sure playing music and running apps wont be an issue, but how about vids? Is there a recommended speed for playing vids from a micro sdhc card?
Yes me too! I've been looking to upgrade my 8gig class 2 to a 16gb. I use it for TomTom, Garmin and some movies.
Well there be any benefit to how fast my Garmin & TomTom load on my phone with a class 6 over 2? I can get a class 2 on newegg for $40 but a cheap class 6 is $60. Is the $20+ more worth it for a class 6? I don't care about the speed it takes to transfer files, I just want my GPS apps to be more responsive loading maps.
My Sandisk Sansa Fuze went through a complete wash cycle by mistake. I popped out the MicroSD card and left it a few days and it worked just fine.
Just make sure anything that has got water on it is powered down by pulling the battery, don't use the power switch. Shut it off ASAP and pop it on the boiler, airing cupboard etc and leave for at least 24-48hrs. Don't be tempted to just give it a quick power up as that is when you fry the circuit board.

Well for some things, a higher class works a lot better. An example of that is how when trying to run anroid on my low class 1G card, it wouldn't even boot. It kept timing out. So yes, it does matter for some things.
just get a class 6 sdhc. its really faster in all belongings. which brand - i think anyone of the well known brands is ok.
when it is going over 8GB in size you dont have much a choose of brands because there a only very very few comapnys who have a large class 6 sdhc micro sdcard
I am getting ready to purchase this 32gb micro from ScanDisk. Has anyone confirmed that the HTC Rhodium/AT&T Tilt2 will work with this larger card??

thats the things, so far i've read that most are using 16GB and not 32GB read another thread on some other forum before that this guys had problems cause the 32GB was causing some instability. As for why i want to get such a big card cause i recently saw a 32GB class 10 on offer. LOL
32GB Micro SDHC 2.0 would be working great.
Higher class (higher than class 4) is needed only for sdext and swap partitions.
