SoftBank X01HT Locked or unlocked? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Hi.
I tried to find this on the forum and wiki, but i couldn't, so i want to ask.
I got a used Softbank X01HT, and seller said it was unlocked, but when i put in my sim i can do things for about 30 seconds, and then there comes a U-SIM screen and it asks me to enter something, i guess ( It's in japanese ).
How can i get this to go away? Is it even unlocked?
ROM: 1.33.761.4
Radio: 1.16.00.00
When i make call to phone i does to through and people can all even though U-SIM screen is there, and when people call, it is possible to go to the menues and such.. But when they hang up it goes back to U-SIM screen.
Please help
I have already read the Post april X01HT thread, though it is not relevant in this case because this is model from 2006.
Thank you

this is SIM unlocked phone (radio version 1.16.00), but your Windows Mobile ROM is the original SoftBank Japanese version that enforces USIM message...
You can flash to some other Windows Mobile ROM, but make sure you check Hard-SPL thread first (sticky in Hermes upgrading etc)

Hi thank you again!
I read something like that in the SIM unlock thread.
So i just need to install Hard-SPL and then flash a ROM?
Do i also need to do CID unlock? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293665)
I would like to be able to write japanese with the phone, so is that possible if i flash? I saw a thread about installing japanese input/output support, is that possible to install on every rom?
And can you reccomend a rom or post link to ROM you think i should install?
THANK YOU! can't wait to start using it.

Now i just tried the Hard-SPL thing. But i get Update error 260 saying my device is not connected. I have ActiveSync 4.5 open and i have synced..
so i don't know.
I don't know if it has anything to do with the USIM screen being on all the time?
I see Active sync closing down as soon as it starts updating.. but then it can't update, right?

easiest way is to use SoftBank SIM for flashing everything, that way you avoid USIM message...
if you dont have SoftBank SIM available, search for welcome.exe on this forum.
SoftBank put a software SimLock in the ROM which can be removed with welcome.exe from imei-check unlocker. (http://www.imei-check.co.uk/m3100unlock.php) Start it up with you phone connected to USB and ActiveSync enabled... After the program asks for some password file, just close it! (close dos prompt window)
About Japanese IME (kanji & kanna input), i prefer flashing some newer English WM6 ROM + installing separate Japanese IME from cab. Old SoftBank's ROM is very slow and limited...
Super CID is just there if you flash HardSPL....

HI, thank you!
I found out that the USIM screen goes away if you just press on the signal bar and say that you don't want to receive signal.. den i can ue it.. And then i could do the Hard-SPL which i did with no problem. thank you!
Ah so if i just download that program and close it down at that time the USIM screen with never come again?
Yea i want to flash it to newer. But i'm not sure which one because i've heard a lot of people broken their phone :/
could to give me a link to a few "good" English WM6 ones?, though i there is probablt many.
i will try out the imei-check thing now ^_^!

Once you flash HardSPL; when you want to flash only Windows Mobile ROM only you dont have to worry about bricking (destroying) your phone. Only flashing different radio could be dangerous.
For the version, you have to find out yourself, there are so many... Check Hermes Mobile 6 threads, there are even some special Japanese cooked ROMs if i remember correctly. Also check user signatures for what versions are different people using...

thanks so much! i managed to get the USIM screen gone with your help.
Ahh i see, but install new version wont it also change the radio? wasn't that dangerous?(sorry if i ask dumb question)
so if i chose this for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=359458 i can still make it with Japanese IME?
i think i will try hehe!

that link you provided is Schap's WM6 Pro 4.31 ROM... It is one of the most stable out in the wild, and it comes without radio, so flashing that one should be safe.

Oh ok thank you! then i will try this.
Last question before i do anything
This that ROM it is still possible to do the Japanese IME thing?
I found this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298919
It explains something of getting japanese on phone, was this what you meant by japanese IME? or is there an other method, if yes, please telle me/ give link.
Now time to have your Hermes speak Japanese
Japanese fonts
Use the excellent work from Asukal, that you can find here:
http://www.asukal.jp/WM5/LetsJapanNo5.zip
I did have a problem with it: once I executed it, I could not sync with my Exchange server (Quite a pain for my push email account...)
Asukal found the solution: edit the registry, and change
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mobem\CE-Star] "MyNLS" = "\windows\wince.nls"
Japanese input
Not using for myself, but these work perfectly (I tried):
http://www.asukal.jp/WM5/BagojsINPUT.zip
*** EDIT
If you prefer a Japanese input without the annoying "Floating bar", ie just the same input way as your original WM5 Softbank ROM, just downlaod and install the "MS IME31 J" link from Asukal's page:
http://hn801.hkes.com/Data/SIP/IME_31J_QVGA_F.zip
Click to collapse
THANK YOU!

That solution you mention should work fine, but newer solution is available. Check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445550

Hi! THank you very much! i was finally able to flash the ROM!!
And i have installed the Japanese fonts and Input thing!
It works. but after install i can not sign onto MSN Live Messenger. Is there anyway to fix this problem?Maybe i should change something in Regedit?? Or should i uninstall the fonts again? :/
It gives me this message: There's a Connectivity problem. Make sure you're in an area with good reception and try again.
I have tried over and over and WIFI is up and working..
So any answer i would be so greatful and finally be able to use the phone like i dreamed of !
Thank you.

sorry, i dont use msn, i have no clue about it...
明けましておめでとう。

Ok thank you anyway!!
明けましておめでとう〜

XDAUnlock Tool - Getting beyond a joke!

I've been trying for several months now to unlock my XDA1 Wallaby without success. I've loaded the Special Edition ROM 1.2 on my device and followed the Wiki instructions:
"To use XDAunlock.......tranfer XDAunlock.exe to any directory on your device using the 'Explore' funtion of ActiveSync. Run it and you will be prompted to ask if you really want to unlock, and then it's done".
I loaded the XDAunlock program into the Program Files directory of my device. However, when I click on XDAunlock.exe it gives me 'error getting unlock code'. It all sounds so simple but it just doesn't seem to work and nothing in the instructions relates to this error. Can anyone help. I'm even prepared to call anywhere in the world if someone has the solution.
Thanks
The special edition rom should unlock automatically, the xdaunlock is part of the rom so there is no need to transfer the xdaunlock program to your device. If it doesnt execute xdaunlock on first boot after buring the special edition rom you can run it from the programs list or explore for it. Have you tried a different sim to see if in fact it is unlocked?
Hey, thanks for the quick reply.
I'd already tried what you suggested and it's what I understood should happen but it didn't. It didn't automatically unlock on first boot and I was unable to find it in the Programs list so I loaded XDAunlock directly into my Programs Files directory. I then located it in File Explore and clicked on XDAunlock.exe, which is when I got the error. The reason I'm trying to unlock is that I was formerly a TMobile subscriber and recently got a cheap Motorola when I switched to Cingular. I've tried both SIM cards in the device with the same result. I'm at a loss but want to try everything I can to avoid forking out for a new device.
Which Radio Version do you have?
Stefan
Stefan,
I don't know which version I have but assumed it would be whatever loaded with the Special Edition ROM 1.2. How do I check?
David
Radio Version can be seen via Settings -> System -> Device Information
The Radio Version is independent of the ROM Version.
XDAunlock do only work with special radiostacks together. So there may the problem why it isn't working for you...
Stefan
I'm apparently using Radio version 6.25.02

That´s why it isn´t working.....
Try these instructions....

Stefan, I don't know if you are a beer drinker but I owe you one. Your suggestions, once I changed the Radio version worked like a charm. Now I just have to find the best OS for Cingular here in the US.
Thanks again for your help and don't hesitate to let me know if you get to New York for that beer.
Glad to hear, that your device is well working....
In my opinion, on of the best ROM is the 4.01.12 Version. Its a WM2003 ROM including wmodem to use the Wallaby as modem.
Don´t know if you have already read anything of the ROMkitchen, but there you can include some applications diretcly in the ROM.
YOu can create your own ROM here:
http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org
Stefan
PS: Don´t know if i will ever be in New York, but drinking beer sound great. ;-)
So many Things and hardly any experience LOL
tried downloading the special edition rom from The site but It must either be down or not there any more. any one know where I can get it elswhere?
I also have a SIEMENS SX56 with a Simcard from AT&T, bad thing about it is I switched to T-Mobile and now I get a sim Lock SID password box.
Have no clue where to start. Definately needs unlocking.. Now does it make a difference if the T mobile sim card or the AT&T sim are in the PDA?
So many Q's..
Thanks in advance for any assistance
RATTLER1
I tried both links referred to in the thread and they worked. I'm assuming you have a cable connection as the Special ROM is 15+MB and would be a problem to download if not. Other than that, don't know what to suggest other than going back to ATT/Cingular, which I find much better than Tmobile after four years of frustration.
Good luck

Install Japanese input on a UK Tytn..

Hi!
I am thinking of upgrading to a Vodafone v1605 on Monday.. and I can see lots of information about changing languages etc... but it is getting confusing for me...
Is there are concise account on how to install Japanese on a UK Vodafone V1605?
I am new to this and only have experience with Palm PDA's. I am a bit worried about editing registeries etc..

Hi hanmin,
thanks for your reply,
" Have you read this?

Yes, I have read aquasesh's thread and also the links posted within.
I think perhaps. this thread is most useful.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=281617&page=8
and I can see these links to asukal's site.
http://www.asukal.jp/WM5/LetsJapanNo5.zip
then install this
http://www.asukal.jp/WM5/BagojsINPUT.zip
I have also read this over at Brighthand
http://forum.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=217045
Reading all of these makes the process seem quite simple, but later on in the threads people post idffierent problems. I know it is perhaps true that they did not follow the instructions to the letter.....
I have also read this thread
http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=103305&pp=20
So you see, I did use the search, but was hoping to find a summary of how to install full Japanese support, like a beginers guide.
I will read these again to try to get the process into my head. And will also read these pages thoroughly
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Hermes
Currently I use a Tungsten T3 PDA paired to a 802SE and can see Japanese in my email, and also reply in Japanese. But my T3 's battery only lasts an hour when out and about.
I also use a Sony Vaio VGN-TX51B which has the Japanese OS but of course, it is not always convenient to carry it around.
I know very little about the TyTn and things like re-flashing roms. and am wondering whether to buy a sim free unlocked no branding TyTn or just go for a Vodafone one as my upgrade is now due.
Thanks again for your reply,
Ofiaich
Ofiaich,
Read this one if you read Japanese. It has the step by step comprehensive instruction on how to do it.
http://www.yasukawa.com/blog/archives/000297.html
Well, from my experience, Asukal's works.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=262918&highlight=
Anyway, I personally wouldn't suggest a ROM flashing for other language support unless you very much prefer having interfaces in other languages. I had my Chinese language support from Asukal, it works wonderfully. I did a beginner's guide at the Wiki under WM5.
Anyway, I'm sure you can get your stuff working. It is difficult to judge the difficulty of a certain task based on posts as many that got the thing working won't post at all. So, the success rate may be much higher than what you thought.
Anyway, Tytn or Hermes are waaaaay out my league (I'm poor), so I can't comment on which one you ought to be getting. You can look for some other thread discussing this issue.
Anyway, if you can, once you got your thing working, do a begineer's guide at the Wiki then.
Thanks harryk1372 and hanmin!
harryk1372, I will check out the link you gave now,

Yes, many people who have success do not post.

the rough process is as follows. i think you can find details yourself.
1) override wince.nls
2) install a japanese font
3) change font registry
4) install atok for ppc (don't reboot yet)
5) install DefSipChange to change default sip from atok to something else
6) install pqzii to map a key to start ime
the key is that atok tries to become default sip after installation. when atok is the default sip, the system just gets hung up, and all you can do is hard-reset. defsipchange detects and prevents atok from becoming default, and you can choose another sip as default. english key map does not have KANJI (ime) key. pqzii is a very useful program to map the ime start function to any key.
if you wanna save disk space, i recommend you use docomo rom.
thanks qtotter!
I got the idea but need to do more serious reading, looks daunting for a beginner !
I got a chance to buy an unbranded, unlocked TyTn, or use my Vodafone upgrade and get a V1605.

qtotter,
i had a problem when i was experimenting the docomo rom that you can find at the wiki site. no matter how many times i tried flashing it, it stopped exactly at 47% all the time giving me an error that there is a communication error. looks like there are many of those who succeeded flashing it though. were you able to flash it?

i am using docomo rom on x01ht since it does not have a sim-monitoring process although i don't want to see docomo logo everyday. i could update the rom w/o any problems, but i did not download it from here.
try to download the file from here again or look for "Herm_China.rar" (it was named like this, originally) elsewhere on the net.
and before you update the rom, be certain that your device is fully charged, that there is no anti-virus software, no screen saver, no unnecessary software running on PC, and that there is no sim or no microsd left in the device.
if you still get the same error, simply chage the cable or try on another pc.
Hi qtotter,
thanks for your reply...
i do have "Herm_China.rar" downloaded but just thought that the one uploaded here by pof is from that and is the same thing. i too didn't want to see docomo bootsplash on x01ht and flashing it was only experimental after seeing Asukal's post on his web that he succeeded flashing it on x01ht.
i personally prefer i-mate roms and i have i-mate rom flashed on my Universal although i have changed the bootsplash by following the instructions on buzzdev.net and i don't have to see i-mate logo on a Dopod device. i now have TyTN rom flashed on my x01ht as it doesn't have any brand logos other than HTC bootsplash. I'll stick with TyTN rom until someone finds the way to cook nbh roms and the way to change bootsplash and so forth.
thanks again for your advice anyways...
change bootsplash and rom cooking will be possible soon

Problem after unlocking X01HT with imei-check

Hy guys,
I have a post Dec.2 x01HT and have the following problem. I have bought the imei-check unlocker when it came out and used it. Originally it worked, I tried it with a DOCOMO SIM and everything was nice, but when I tried a GSM SIM it still said simlock....
I e-mailed imei-check and they said I have to do the unlock during a hard reset before the softbank settings screen and that is what I did. After that my device worked with a GSM Sim, but I had a ton of problems: the windows hangs every few hours and I have to reset the set, also I cannot get the hold-down vibrate function of the radio button to work, the reaction time of the touch screen is very slow etc.
I also noticed that if I hard-reset without using the imei-check unlocker after the settings procedures there is an auto customization procedure that runs and customizes the phone to the softbank settings and looks, but if I do the hard reset and unlock with imei-chek this procedure doesn't run and I suspect that is part of the reasons for all the problems.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced similar problem and can help me solve this problem?
I was also wondering if I run the free unlocker on my device will it work better?
P.S. I am using the original Softbank ROM with the English MUI by Asukal.

You can still do the customization manually. There is only one file that you aren't supposed to run. Just unlock your EXT-ROM and install the cabs one by one. Pof has a Softbank extended rom with the bad file removed around here somewhere. In any case the "fix" cabs are all over the place and you probably don't even need to run the softbank stuff if you don't want to.
Thanks,
I am not too much into these things. Originally all I wanted was to SIM unlock my set, but I will try to find how to do all the things you said...to unlock the EXt-ROM and install the cabs myself.
Can anyone tell which cab exactly I should NOT install?
I have downloaded the Softbank Extended ROM from here, but it seems to have even more cabs than in my original ExtRom on the device. I would appreciate a list of which cabs to install or not to install.
Thank You all
So how does this IMEI unlock could work?

Help with a MDA Vario II

Hi everyone,my name's Larry and I just registered to the forums. Please forgive my newness but I am in a bit of a pickle here.
I have a MDA Vario II, aka Hermes 300, that I bought s/h off ebay. Works fine,no worries, but I upgraded to WM6 because i felt browsing was a little slow and the screen graphics werent as good as I expected. The upgrade was from the T-mobile site itself and all went fine. Only thing is I dont believe this phone can handle it(needs more RAM really) and after being online a while it gets really slow, like steerig a cow through treacle at times so I came to the conclusiong it was a bad move! Now I've noticed a link on here about downgrading to WM5 but is it that easy for one with no specialised tools or knowledge(tho i did build my own PC, or should I say ahem WE did)
Also a problem the phone has developed since the upgrade is it keep deleting my email settings, even tho on the 'desktop' screen it tells me i have so many unread emails in each account! So now i cant check emails from it either!
I do hope I can sort this out cos it is really frustrating having a PDA and not being able to browse properly!
Many thanks
Larry
Welcome to XDA-Developers larry. Well Firstly i would start with CID unlocking your device so that you can flash any rom you can do that by downloading hard spl from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722
then once you have flashed that you can basically download and install any rom for the hermes. I have an mda vario ii and hate the t-mobile rom as it installs quite a bit of useless crap. I never use and it is also so damn ugly. if after installing a new rom you find you have internet connection problems and/or mms settings then download and run this http://rapidshare.com/files/92547562/UK_Setup.exe that will install the settings for internet and mms for all uk networks, the majority of the cooked roms on here though ,already have a network wizard to set it up for you, but better to be safe than sorry
P.S. I forgot to add if you are looking for speed and extra ram i would look for a vanilla(clean) rom, install that and then add the apps you want via cab files, you will find them scattered about all over this site

all your question answered here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Hermes
I have looked thru the wiki and cannot find the advice I need.
My device has the following on it and what I would like to know is if I can actually drowngrade the device back to WM5.
The rom version is 3.60.110.4 (T-mobile UK)
The radio version is 1.50.00.00 so I assume that it is boot 0108.
The IPL is 1.04 and the SPL 2.03.
The protocol reads as follows 32.83.7020.20H
I have come across a guide that states if the radio is above 1.27.00.00 then downgrading may not be possible.
"(NOTE: If your radio version is currently HIGHER than 1.27.00.00 then it is very likely the radio bootloader is version 0108, this WILL NOT allow the radio to be downgraded to a radio containing BL 0106 and will result in a "NO GSM" error.)" -http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=41&Itemid=27
The other question I would like to ask is this - it is possible to put another verion of WM6 on with this radio version?
Thanks for any advice!
Can anyone help me here!
Do I need to SIM unlock my PDA to update the ROM to a custom ROM, for example Schaps_WM6Pro_Hermes_4.30 which I recently downloaded from here.
At the moment it is locked to T-mobile. I have also updated the SPL to 2.10 olipro and the radio is at 1.50.00.00 and the HTC boot is 0108.
Thanks guys

I think you might not have gotten help 'cause it doesn't look like you've read what people pointed for you to read. Hopefully this'll help you get over the jargon hump and make progress. Having upgraded from the Offical T-Moble rom and swapped ROMs, it's definitely worth taking the time to learn how to do.
SIM unlock & CID unlock aren't the same.
If you've had you phone with T-Mobile for at least 3 month they will let Unlock you SIM (at least they do in the US). Contact them directly, you'll need an active account & phone number with them. This is free.
CID unlocking allows flashing ROMs onto your PDA. For some reason the folks at T-mobile, etc want you to have to look at their stuff every time you use a machine you bought through them. Using a cooked rom is like reinstalling XP without having AOL on your computer, makes life much better.
(flashing = installing to a PDA's Read Only Memory)
(ROM = OS + Radio + other stuff = basically everything thats on the PDA after a hard reset)
Flashing can be a dangerous thing, you don't want to 'brick' your PDA so you install an escape hatch. Hard SPL is that escape hatch.
(Brick = peice of baked clay = your PDA if a ROM install fails and you didn't install Hard SPL first)
The Hard SPL protects you if the ROM you installs fails 'cause power went out, ROM was bad, you bumped the cable, etc

Read & Follow the directions.
Select a ROM from here

Thanks gt, and we have read advice on here but a lot of seems to be conflicting plus we seem to be just going round and round. Yep, ben there, yep read that etc.
I know the diff. between SIM and CID unlock but all I want to know is is it necessary to SIM unlock the phone to update a ROM?
I wont be using another network but will be staying with T-mobile W n W.

unlock my x01ht unsuccessful... any ideas why?

Hi,
I purchased the Softbank X01HT (post Dec) in Japan when i was working in Japan. I lived with the Japanese OS even though i don't understand Japanese because I didn't want to temper with it just incase something goes wrong and i can't use the phone. Well, now im back in Australia ... and i need to unlock it and flash a new ROM to it so that I can use it in Australia .. otherwise.. it is effectively a brick....
so.. i spent the past two days reading all the valuable information u guys provided... and in the end.. i decided to first unlock and superCID my phone using the AUTO_Unlock_v3a.bat provided by POF ... and then flash it with the Jasjam telstra ROM (RUU_Hermes_DL_UK_3[1].62.305.5_6275_1.54.30.10_108_Ship.exe) also found in this forum which received good feedbacks...
ok... after i executed the AUTO_Unlock_v3a.bat program .. everything went well... and at the end of it.. the screen even said.. successful in both unlock and superCID ... so.. i assumed that my phone is unlocked...
then... i went to flash my phone with the abovementioned jasjam ROM .. and this too.. everything went just fine ... and now.. my phone is working with this new ROM (cool! first time im able to read my x01ht coz its in English) ...
without a sim.. the OS works fine.. etc etc...
however, when i tried to put a telstra sim card in it ... its still simlocked ...
the SimLock screen comes up and requests me to input unlock code ...
so.. i did more reading and researched but can't find any solution to this ... i even tried that "unlock" code (22051978) but it doesnt work ...
Please.. can someone help me with this issue with my phone? now.. it seems that i just need to unlock my phone to use it as my jasjam ROM is working fine. Below are further details:
ROM version: 3.62.305.5
ROM date: 11/06/07
Radio version: 1.54.30.10
EtRom version: 3.62.305.116
any help/comments will be highly appreciated... thanks in advance...!
read somewhere that if you let the softbank go through the 1st boot and it installs all the extra stuff you wont EVER be able to unlock it again. some one else may need to clarify this but apparently you need to soft reset after you've reached the today screen but before the customisations start. if you didnt do this then you probably wont be able to unlock it. sorry if this is wrong/bad news.
Hope someone else can corroborate this.. cheers...
thanks for your reply ultramag69 although i hope that u r wrong.. hahaha
fingers crossed ... hopefully.. positive news from some experts ...
After re-reading the posts, i cannot find that I did anything wrong.
This link "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293665" states that the unlocker v3a "can be used in all HTC Hermes devices, no matter which bootloader version the device is running", with the exception of "x01ht post April devices" (i.e., white x01ht).
However, my x01ht is black and is a pre-April device.
So, I am still not sure what is wrong. Please help please help any experts out there ...
POF ... if you are there.. please help ... i need your expert advice thank you in advance.
ultramag69, i think that you are referring to this "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=301952".
Quote:
"Here's how to unlock the new batch of SoftBank X01HT devices with radio 1.14.01.10.
This process is ONLY valid for new devices which have never turned on or let the SoftBank Extended ROM install.
If you have already let the ExtROM install you CAN'T sim-unlock it."
Fortunately, i find that this does not apply to me because my phone is not post april. Also, originally, my radio was never 1.14.01.10. It was 1.14.00.10.
help..........

hey bro!when you r already flashed v3a unlock, than you should down a software name like "Hard-SPL-V7",it will help you to unlock the exrom, make you able to flash the new os\rom...
"HARD-SPL-V7" has 2 software,1st is "RUU_signed.nbh",2nd is "RUUWrapper.exe".
devileric, read post carefully. snowboarder has no problem with reflashing oses, its the sim that needs unlocking now and hard spl WONT do that...
Still reading and researching. I'd probably retry the unlock tool. it cant hurt but may work... cheers
devileric ... yes ... ultramag69 is correct ... my new English Telstra Jasjam OS works like a beauty when it operates WITHOUT a sim card. However, when i try to insert a telstra (or optus) sim card in there, there is a prompt that requires me to enter a unlock code. Please note that the unlock code 22051978 does NOT work in this case (also doesnt work in alot of other cases that i read in this forum).
Ultramag69, thank you for your help and replies, much appreciated. I actually did try the unlocking program again (three times ) . However, when i execute the AUTO_Unlock_v3a.bat when my OS is the new telstra jasjam OS, my phone will freeze on the telstra startup screen after the radio update step of the unlocking program when it automatically resets. Thereafter, even when i perform soft reset again and again, it will just freeze there. When that happened the first time, I thought that I bricked my phone .. ahhaha.. but fortunately, I was able to simply go to the tri-color boot screen and then simply flash the above said telstra Jasjam ROM. This will get me back to square one, i.e., working Jasjam OS, but phone is still sim locked.
I spent another night last night reading the applicable threads. I find that quite afew other people had the same problem as me. And I also find that whenever such problem is posted, its either ignored or a moot reply is given.
So, for the experts out there, if there is a solution to this, please kindly let me know. I am sure it will others will find it helpful too. Thank you.
