what happens if the person you receive an sms from is also using the same program? (or if u decide to send a test message to yourself?)
Would it be an endless cycle of sms' going back and forth?

It would need to remember numbers so that it only replies to each number once in a given time period (it may do this already.)

Hi davey1980,
I can certainly put that on my list of future implementations and try and work it into the next version. I may be able to spend a bit of time on it this week so I may be able to get a release out before next weekend with that feature in.
With regards to downloading, if you left click the attachment you'll get the cab file to download. I just tried right clicking and "saving file as" and that gave me the php file.

I shall certainly be working in a whitelist into the next version. I was thinking of custom messages per whitelisted number too.
If you can think of anything else, let me know!

great! because my main purpose of using this app is to send sms to several contacts in my whitelist, but i wouldn't want to send a reply to all of my received sms'

Just uploaded version 1.3.5.0 with the option of using the blacklist or the whitelist for SMS replies.

How can I revert back to the old way of selecting the preview and having it go to my sms or mms directly, instead of the new way. I can't see attachments in the new view, or atleast don't know how to view them. Any help would be great. Thank you.

yes, hit the all messages left softkey this has been asked numerous times, and unless you want to start hacking manila files, there's no easy way to do this that i know of. i've just gotten in the habit of hitting all messages anyways...

I too do it ndn175's way, but wish there was a way to revert it back to old style.
I don't like the new TF3D contact card either, it either locks up completely or runs at a snails pace. I always have to go to the default contact list via start menu

There's been lots of talk over the new Manila builds... And guess what, I have them
I'm looking for a few people to test some stuff for me, so the first 5-10 people to contact me will get access to some shiny new stuff I haven't tested yet, including TF3D 2.5...
Bear in mind it's all very beta, it makes debug logs everywhere and anywhere and has a nasty habit of crashing... And not everything works!
I now have enough testers...

On home page, try adding a shortcut to an application, (not widget or others, as those seemed to have worked.) Does manilla crash?

Switch to Airplane mode and back on...it grabs the 3G network but in band settings none of the Auto/GSM/UMTS seems to be the active on. All greyed out !

It's the same build as what I sent to you, but I'm going to try and fix some things.
I need to try and find a newer Leo ROM which may fix some things...

The "To:" field works perfectly in this build.
So far following things dont work.
1. wifi
2. bluetooth
3. cant change local city or add a city
4. camera not working
only now i see this thread...could have had access to this rom...too bad

This is a semi-fix for the SMS/MMS threading problem.
My setup : S3 i9305T
Rom: Pandoriam
Launcher: Nova Launcher
AOSP Messaging theme
I tried the other suggested solutions of putting in the country code for the number but that didn't work for me. I put in spaces but that didn't work either.
Solution - 1: What I found worked for me was to start the message thread. It seems that if I'm not the one that starts the thread, then when the person replied it goes to it's own thread.
Solution - 2: An issue occured where a friend of mine messaged me. I deleted the thread and then replied. When he replied it started a new thread again. I deleted the thread, deleted the contact, re-created the contact and then started a new thread. That fixed the problem.
The problem is still on going for MMS. But at least it's a partial fix =)

I just thought I should bring a little "fix list" for the messaging threading issue. I seem to be having more trouble than anyone, so then I got a couple of tricks that seem to work
If you have troubles with threads splitting (multiple threads per contact), try the following in this order:
1. Download Number Fixer from Play Store and add country code to all numbers. Yes, all. Try with +xx (e.g. +44) first. Then open your Gmail and enter contacts page, remove ALL spaces.
2. If the above doesn't work, try changing country code to 00xx (e.g. 0044). And remove spaces.
3. If even that doesn't work for one or all contacts, try deleting country code for that contact.
4. As a last try, add country code 00xx and delete all messages. Then be a good friend - send your friend a message! BUT - in the recipient field, type the entire number (with country code) and DON'T select your friends name when it pops up (keep typing full number). Send the message and hopefully the reply threads as it is supposed to.
Right now I think I actually use all four solutions on different contacts Some work one way, some the other. But luckily I'm not the one that care about keeping my messages

Wow...what an interesting response for my first post.
Sorry longice but I won't be giving you any credits or thanks as I didn't find your fix that you posted 3 weeks ago. If I had I would have but I didn't so I won't.
If I ever post something again I'll have to make sure I scour the threads to make sure I don't get blamed for plagiarism......and here I was thinking that the main thing was to offer help to others....

Sooo... from what i see in your screen shots, i understand that the names in your contacts list does no appear in your messages ?
Try this: go to your contact list an modify your contact number with +4 or whatever is UK prefix.
Like this:
04.555.555.etc becomes +404.55.55.etc

This module helps you avoid some annoying contacts/messages on WhatsApp:
- It stops sending read receipts (blue marks) until you reply
- It stops sending availability status until you interact with the contact
- And it stops sending the composing/typing status
This module should support WhatsApp 2.17.x and newer versions only.
As many of you know, WhatsApp app is proguarded, which means the classes names may change on each new official update, that's why i use a brute force method to get the right hooks, this way the module should keep working over many WhatsApp new updates.
The module is open source, you are welcome to help with coding and bugs reports on the module's Github repository.

What do you mean by popup? Quick reply?
Actually I was expecting the opposite.
According to the way I implemented the module, your WhatsApp client should not send any read receipt for a message A until you reply, then if the other person reply again with C it gets marked blue but A "may" not get marked.

yes i mean quick reply, actually i experienced it only with some one. whatsapp has a feature in security that does not sends read message but if you enable it you wont see other's read message to

Quick replies should behave the same way as normal replies, so the next received messages should be marked.

Actually i made it for my own use, and honestly i'm not planning to add more features for this module.
Can you explain how marks work on group conversations? i guess it gets marked when at least one participant read it, try it with a group and let me how it behaves.

Yes you can still use the first release if you don't want to send any read receipts.
By the way i just posted a minor update 1.3 to fix an inactivity timing bug.

You must be activated from the privacy options of WhatsApp, the option read confirmation, and when in a conversation, you send messages, you can see when they have read, but when they will send to you, they will not know if you have read the message.

v1 will never show read receipts? and v4 will show read receipts only when you answer a message?
