is the screen protector that comes in the box any good, or shall i get an alternative?
here's a prior thread discussion about better ones: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=447681
In my opinion anything but Invisible Shield. The front cover sucks, it's badly dimensioned.

[Q]Any screen protector not a Fingerprint Magnet?

Hi all,
Is there any good screen protector out there that doesn't collect fingerprints? Clear screen as well?
After lots of consideration I don't think I'll get the InvisibleShield nor Clear Coat screens. I just don't like their rubbery surface that makes the phone looks not classy anymore, especially the battery cover side.
I've opted for the Exim ones...I tried invisible sheild and whilst I can't deny it is a better all round protector it's an absolute "*****" to fit...exim is easy
Hello guy`s watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSlx8K89PZQ
I think Clear-Coat make the best protectors!

Screen protector + Case/Pouch or Body shield ( Invisible Shield , RaceShield )

Which one is better?
And why?
What are the advantage and disadvantage?
I would prefer Case + Screen protector
Body shield is good but not durable in the sense that peeling, sticking to hair, collecting dust etc. Moreover it'll make the screen "rubber" feeling, causing users having a hard time to slide on screen or using stylus.
Advantage of using Case + Screen protector :
Most important part : Screen is protected;
Whole phone is protected by case, and will absorb certain amount of impact from the phone e.g Dropped your phone on floor.
More durable except plastic casing.
Disadvantage:
Mobile will become larger and doesn't look that nice anymore

Comparable screen protector for otterbox defender case

Hey guys, has anyone had any luck finding a screen protector that sticks well with the otterbox defender case? I've tried the official Samsung screen protectors but the film lifts at the edges and creates bubbles. I've tried the tempered glass and it's impossible with the case by reducing the sensitivity to nearly zero. Has anyone else had any luck finding one that works with this case?

have you tried the Otterbox AlphaGlass ?
I'm using illumishield maximum coverage with my commuter. You just need to mind the corners when putting the case on but it works fine for me.
Hi,
any new upadte about it?
Hi I am using the Iblason glass and fits perfect

Case that will protect s8 from flat drops

I am looking for a case that will protect from glass down drops. I currently have the neo hybrid case. I can set this face down and the screen wont touch the surface, but if it falls the right way, the screen will definitely break.
I am not sure if there are cases that will actually prevent this or not. This is my first curved glass phone, and maybe this is just the nature of the phone? Is this why there are glass screen protectors? Any cases anyone can recommended? I had the Spigen tough armor for me lg g5 which definitely protected glass down drops, but it does not appear the s8 version is the same way.
I have an otterbox defender, has raised edges in the top and bottom but not the sides. I don't think any case does. Trying to find a glass screen protector now that will fit without going under the plastic part of the case
