i have big problem with gps on my S740.
When i run GPS software like Garmin XT or Efficasoft GPS Utilities...
After run 1 minute GPS software my phone freeze

I've been using the 1.72 ROM for a couple of weeks now and I must say it is the most stable ROM since I've my MDA II. The radio on/off works like a charm and so does the bluetooth. But.....
I use TomTom Navigator 3 with an Emtac bluetooth GPS. It works fine with this ROM but I can't use TomTom anymore without the Emtac bluetooth GPS. What I mean is: Before this ROM I would sometimes open up TomTom to look something up on the map. This would be with bluetooth turned off and my GPS would be somewere else. Now with this 1.72 ROM and the Bluetooth Tools in it, I can't do this anymore. My MDA II will slow down in opening TomTom and will then freeze. It needs a soft reset to get out of this stage. This is very repeatable. I think it has to do with the bluetooth tools in the ROM.
So my questions are:
1. Does any of you guys have the same problem with a bluetooth GPS?
2. Can I do a hard reset and not let this bluetooth tools be installed and still get my bluetooth GPS working?
I hope any of you knows the answer to this (minor) problem.

are you using the latest version of the tomtom gps driver, I had this problem on my old IPAQ 3970. but everything works fine on my XDA with 1.72 and bluetooth tools
I use the very, very latest GPS driver. So you can't reproduce that problem with a bluetooth gps mouse?

I have a GlobalSat GPS mouse and it works fine.

I also have the latest GPS driver with the TomTom Wireless (Bluetooth) GPS mouse and works without any problem

Just to be sure if I just have bad luck. You can open the map in TomTom and look something up without the bluetooth GPS turned on? (I just want to be sure....)

This thread can be closed. I solved the problem!
I tell you what I did. I had in the GPS settings choosen for COM5 because I had that one activated in the Bluetooth Tools. This was how TT did work but didn't work with no GPS turned on.
Now I turned Bluetooth Tools off and choose for Bluetooth GPS in the GPS settings. Now it works how it is supposed and I can still look something up on the map without my bluetooth GPS turned on.
I'm so happy! :lol:

Hi, i recently just bought a Bluetooth GPS receiver and installed tomtom on my M1000.
Only problem is, the devices appear to be connecting, and the GPS receiver is picking up satellites, but when i load Tomtom is keeps saying that the GPS is disabled.
What am i doing wrong?

I just bought an iPaq BT GPS system (seems like a rebrand of what GLobalSat offers). I have successfully paired the device, but when I do a services check, the blue angel cries that it cannot find any usable services. Is there something I can install on my BA to be able to use this GPS device? IT seems like they are trying to talk to one another, but just don't understand each other.

I paired, I used tom tom, it got a GPS fix, I used it twice
LOL OK - back with some problems
First: the GPS unit will NOT get a GPS fix...
Then I could not connect to the device, so I deleted the pairing, and decided to re-pair them.
Then I saw the GPS BT device, but the services were not usable!
Now I try to paid the devices, and I cannot even see the GPS unit

I seem to have a problem with TomTom 7 and my touch dual.
I can pair my BT device with my phone. after that i can connect it to tomtom and it will see it as a GPS device and I have a signal. So far so good.
Then it starts:
When i close tomtom and open it again, tomtom does not see my BT device anymore and thus no GPS unit and signal. I have to delete the BT connection and create it again to get it working.
Can somebody please help me out with this? I am using Niki Project Rom Editor v2.1.3.

I've tried many ROMS (Stock, modified) but I cannot make GPS working. I cant get even 1 satelite working in GPS Test app. Can somebody help how to debug/troubleshoot gps receiver? I need to know if its hardware issue or not.
