This phone doesn't have a front facing camera.

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to record video through the front facing camera and the rear facing camera at the same time? If not, is it possible to record from just one camera and running in the background, so I can do other tasks while still recording video?
This would be great so I could use my phone like those ghost hunters and have my face recorded while recording what's in front of me.

i have the cm7 rom it work perfect and i have the camera illusion and video illusion but when i record a video with video illusion the sound quality is so bad the sound look like helium and fast !!
is there any solution for this ?

I guess you'll have to wait for the camera drivers to be compiled by J
to have a properly working video recorder.

Sooner or later, J will figure it out!
Help i was capturing pics with my s3 while video recording but suddenly now i can only record video but i cant take pictures while recording. And there is no highlited camera icon as were before. I tried chking settings but no luck wht to do???
I need it urgently wht to do?

I don't understand why this is required you can just take freeze frames from the video after recording?

Because you can only grab a frame at 1280x1080 where this takes pics at full 8mp except in a slightly different ratio to match video, because this is what proper DSLR cameras do also.

So hopefully I'm not the only one with this problem, but when i want to record a video on instagram using front camera it freezes then
says cannot connect to camera, BUT the front cam works with any other video recordings that done. If anyone has a fix please let me know.
Sprint tech couldn't figure it out. SO PLEASE HELP ME!!

I have unrooted LG G5. I downloaded 3rd party camera app (Open Camera) because it has manual video controls only to find out I can't shoot 4k with that app. There is option to chose 4k resolution, but video ends up 1080p. Would rooting the phone help?

I don't think rooting your phone would help , but that's wired because I haven't this problem with my Next it Robin ( 4K camera too ) , see the screenshot :

Did you check if it is really 4k? (While on the video in gallery, tap details, resolution should be displayed there). I have the 4l option too but it saves the video as 1080p.

Ho , I figured out what was wrong , I was using the camera in photography mode . In video mode , our phones aren't powerful enough to support 4K videos. It is the case for every phone that supports 4K .( Edit #1: every phone I know)
