Map Creator 1.3 Beta
Tourist attractions are updated, now you can assign more than one stations to a tourist attractions and set distance and time needed to walk.
MapCreator can open and convert automatically the existing xml maps, so won't be worry about the compatibilities. [Thanks for odyon about this advice]
now, you can set a list of tourist attractions, and config the stations near by, then everything is ok. MapCreator will generate automatically the walk connects between them.

Nice design and bug free on my Diamond.
A few points :
- When you change the selected map, you have to restart the app before it's taken in account.
- It miss an exit button.
- When I try to edit the maps directly on my phone, the app is crashing at next launch. I guess it's an encoding issue.

in fact, the map data is OPEN, that means we can easily add maps by ourselves.
I'm actually starting the Map Creator developpment. so when i finished, we can create a map very very easy.
of course, i have also some ideas to improve this program.

- when you touch the map button to change te map, the changes will active immediatly (testCity only contains stationA and stationB for test). in Options form, we change only the "Default Map" - the map loaded on startup.
- yeah, it is not a fullscreen app, i think the x button on the top right is enough, if we hold the x, it will be closed. i will continue receive comment, if more people propose to add exit buttons, i will add one
- Map is Coded in UTF-8, to improve the effecientes, i did not check whether the map is valid. maybe that is a improvement to work when we have more maps.

first of all thanks for thins application! too bad it wasnt released in december when i went to paris \
anyway id also like to figure out how to add maps.. I am going to London in 2-3 weeks and it would really help if i could add a map for it..
could you maybe give some info as to where to look for a map and small instructions about the formatting?

FingerMenu v1.09
Overview: A finger friendly menu replacement which also works for SIP menu.
A new program for our windows mobile devices that replaces the standard menu with one more finger-friendly. It works also for SIP menu.
Install, then start the application tapping on it in programs (under FingerMenu folder). You can even add it to startup folder during cab installation.
To close fingermenu, you can use the program "Close - FingerMenu", or use the configuration program.
If fingermenu is visible, then tap on left softkey (no label!) to access service menu (see video demo).
NEW: by the new item "Add to Exclusion List", current application will added to exclusion list. Use config app to manage exclusion list.

Hints:
- To update the data, either click on the button that is highlighted (i.e. if you are viewing Current data, click on the Current button again to update, etc.), or go to Settings and click Save Settings.
- For using GPS Location, when you enable the option on the settings, it will first try to find your location based on tower information (i.e. you cell provider towers). This does not block the system. Mine takes about 2-3 seconds. If it finds your location, it will show something like: Approx. Location: 37.861111,23.759126. Regardless of finding an approx location, the app will continue on to find your GPS location, based on your GPS receiver. This could take a while but it also does not block the system. Mine (with latest quick gps data) takes another 2-3 seconds. If it finds a GPS location, it will show something like: GPS Location: 37.861123,23.759145. GPS location obviously overwrites Approx Location. You could wait or save settings and come back to settings again later to check if the GPS location is found, at which point you can do save settings again to update with your exact location weather data. By default the app takes 60 seconds to look for a tower location and a GPS position. You can change the timeout in the registry (see Customizations).
Customizations:
Most of the settings data are stored in the registry key (HKCU) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mwunderground. You can use Total Commander or Registry Editor to modify these values. Only do so if you know what you are doing. If something is broken, just reinstall the cab (which uninstalls first and clears the registry).
Radar Customization
To modify the Radar, you can edit the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mwunderground\RadarURL. The current value is:

Tower and GPS connection timeout
To modify the Tower and GPS connection timeout, you can edit the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mwunderground\GPSTimer to the number of seconds you'd like. Default is 60.

just to say that it's working very very good on my i900, winmo 6.1 swiss-french rom, installed on besides memory (Ma mémoire), screen res 240x400.
Only the texts are pretty small in forecast, but... PERFECT !

2. For manual update, check the 2nd post. I posted a hint. For automatic updates, this is a much bigger task because querying for xml data in windows mobile is quite slow. When I work on optimizing the xml parsing code (3rd iteration!) I'll look at how feasible this is. But it's a big task.

This error occured after I changed the current location. Now I can not restart the app. I get the same error message every time I restart the app. I can not even get into the start screen.
How can I fix this, besides a reinstall of the cab file?
Another idea I would like to see is support for the CHT 2.0 weather widget.
Can also weather stations from other countries be used. I keep getting a list from Greece.

I think I have found the issue. I keep getting an error message when changing the weather location based on search option for cell towers/gps option. Somehow this function is causing the app to work incorrectly, perhaps due to interference with the option of a manual search of the location search. The error occurs only after I save the settings. Can you see if this can be fixed?

Installation
Make certain you're on on the latest supported version of Google Hangouts! This is usually the latest available version.
Install the module by a) searching for it in the Xposed Installer or b) manually through the APK provided on GitHub or the Xposed website.
Enable the module in the Xposed Installer.
Reboot.
Done! XHangouts can be configured by opening up the Xposed Installer selecting Modules and then selecting XHangouts.

This beta release introduces MMS APN Splicing. It's a relatively
experimental yet awesome feature that allows Hangouts to bypass the
lengthy APN acquisition process in certain situations. What does this
mean for you? It means when you're not on WiFi, sending and receiving
MMS will be super fast and battery efficient. When you are on WiFi or
your mobile network is not connected, Hangouts will go back to the
default, more reliable process.
This feature is off by default and must be manually enabled in the
settings. Once enabled select the APN configuration option. For
Verizon Wireless users, just select the Verizon preset. For everyone
else you need to determine your own MMS settings. These can usually be
found on Google (for example, by searching for at&t android mms apn
settings) or in your device's mobile settings.
Please report how well, or if, this works for you. Please note that in
this version of XHangouts, when you enable debug mode, the contents of
your MMS messages will be dumped to the Xposed log file to assist in
beta testing. If you're sending something sensitive over MMS (which
isn't the best idea anyway) make sure to at least disable debug mode or
clear your Xposed log.

A: Oh dear. If you're familiar with GitHub, creating a new issue is a great option. If not, posting right in this thread isn't a bad idea either. The more information you include in your bug report the easier (and faster) it will be for me or someone else to help. What kind of info? Your Xposed log (found in the Xposed Installer), your version of Google Hangouts, your version of XHangouts and your version of Android is often enough to get started. Please be kind and courteous to anyone offering assistance.

Correct! Honestly I consider that area where Enter key belongs on a keyboard... not exactly sure when this changed to smiley faces or soft enter. Quite annoying! Do people usually leave a smiley face after every sentence??

I think it has something to do with duplicating functionality. There's already a dedicated send button, but then again there's already a smiley button... Thanks to inconsistent practices the enter key on Android can mean "send/submit/do/something or next field or new line or smiley" and each keyboard has a different way of showing you what is what. If at all.

What's your Hangouts version? I don't have a new version available to me yet so I'm assuming it's older. The version number there displays the version I built the module against. That's just a warning so the module will attempt to load anyway. If you see --- LOAD COMPLETE --- in the logs then it should work.
My version is the one listed in that log I quoted above. It does say load complete though, so it should be fine, like you said.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I've just pushed out v1.1 which includes a settings page. Sorry for the delay as I had to battle through different possible technical implementations. I've also elevated the project to "stable" considering the lack of bug reports.

I like the idea. It would definitely be involved to implement though. When I have the extra time, I'll see what I can find. Another possible approach would be to have a separate app that reads the Android text message database and if there are any new messages it would create a notification every X minutes. Definitely not as robust or seamless as trying to integrate it into Hangouts though.

Have you ever used LightFlow? It isn't just for controlling the LED. You can use it to set reminder tones, vibration, repeating alerts (both repeating sound & vibrate separately) and more. The free version should handle Hangouts just fine. The paid version handles tons more apps. I use it to manage about 80% of the notifications on my phone, so I can tell just by the vibration pattern, led color, or sound, what type of message or even the sender plus everything is managed from one place. I just set each app's alert tone to silent and vibrate to off and then use LightFlow to manage the notification.
LightFlow can definitely handle repeat notifications though with different options for clearing them. You can set them to clear at screen on, or phone unlocked, or notification cleared, or app opened. Makes it pretty hard to miss those important notifications. And it has a night mode with a white list too.
Not trying to hijack the thread, but just wanted to point out that there is already a solution that works well for this.

Rotation is necessary because a portrait image taken with your camera isn't always encoded/stored that way. For my phone, it always captures photos in landscape mode (width > height). It differentiates between portrait and landscape photos not by resolution but by an EXIF tag. When I'm holding my phone vertically and I snap a photo all the camera app needs to do is write a different value for the orientation tag. So it does not need to do any additional processing regardless of how I'm holding the phone. Unfortunately, if we do not read this tag when we load in the image, it will be rendered incorrectly, the way the pixels are stored.
Resizing MMS
Carriers, being the greedy bastards that they are, won't let decent quality images float around on their MMSCs. An MMSC is their server infrastructure that receives multimedia messages from subscribers and allows them to be viewed from the recipients. No matter how good looking the image you send to an MMSC, it will compress the ever living hell out of it. With my tests on Verizon, it will resize your image to 640x480 or less and the resulting file will be JPEG at roughly 30 KB. This works ok for photos, but if you're sending anything else prepare to be disappointed. Or confused when your friend tells you he can't read that screenshot.
We can't "fix" the MMSC, but we can send it the highest quality image possible giving them less room to screw it up. Google Hangouts uses the Bitmap.createScaledBitmap Android API to quickly load in a downscaled version of your image. The downscaling algorithm used is so embarrassingly poor I wonder how the API call ever made it into the OS. XHangouts uses a different set of API calls that result in a much higher quality output. By sending it an image looking as good as possible while still resizing close to the final size the MMSC desires, we can make the best of a bad situation.

Can you elaborate? I can receive MMS on WiFi just fine, as long as I am also connected to the cell network. MMS messages won't download over WiFi, so your phone should automatically download the MMS message over the cell network even when WiFi is on unless you have mobile data disabled, have no cell service, have no SIM card installed or are in airplane mode.
If this isn't happening, it is likely an issue with your device/ROM.

This process is really tricky. The blame can be placed on Hangouts as well, if it's not working over WiFi. Android disables mobile connectivity when connected to WiFi. This means that when Hangouts is sending or receiving MMS it has to manually ask Android to re-enable the mobile data connection, which is generally something no app ever needs to do; Android wants you to rely on it to decide what network is best. This connection has to stay alive for the duration of the MMS transaction regardless of WiFi being toggled or either signal's strength. Lots of room for bugs here. It also needs to "connect" to the MMS APN. This is where the majority of my issues are. A perfectly good APN configuration but receiving APN related errors. Hangouts will be connected to the mobile network (so perfectly able to send/receive MMS) but it won't be "connected" to the MMS APN and will therefore refuse to operate.
This is why I really wish Android had a standard MMS API to avoid this kind of finagling.

As a suggestion, Wanam has implemented into some of his Xposed moduals an option to force connection for MMS while on WiFi.
I use Wanam Xposed and it works fine for me.

Follow the below steps:
1. Download Shou from play store.
2. Sign in/Sign up.
3. Allow root permissions
4. When a popup about allowing screen record comes, just press START and DO NOT CHECK "DO NOT SHOW AGAIN".
5. Click on the floating pink circle
6. Slect Record
7. Enter any file name.
8. Click on Settings.
9. In encoding engine : Select SOFTWARE instead of hardware.
10. Enjoy screen recording.
VPN

Follow these step to enjoy VPN in cm builds ..
1. Go to psiphon and choose Browser-Only mode don't tunnel whole device.
2. Go to its logs tab and check the port of http proxy.
3. Now open WiFi setting and long press to your WiFi network (from which u are connected) go to modify tab and from check the advanced options.
4. Chosen manual proxy option and put host name as 127.0.0.1 and port as the no. which you noted in step 2 (eg. 8080) and click save .
Enjoy you have set up a VPN connection successfully.
You can open your browser and check your IP
Note: You have to undo this after you don't need VPN by changing manual proxy to none .
For those who want to use Orbot vpn
This is very similar to previous vpn workaround for psiphon
Just follow these step for Orbot
1. Open Orbot and long press to start orbot.
2. When all bootstrapped done go to check browser it will ask for normal browser or install Orweb .
3. Open Orweb and volla you r connected to tor but actually its not to tunnel your traffic to vpn go to Orweb settings.
4. Now note the proxy host and proxy port generally it is localhost(same as 127.0.0.1) and 8118 respectively but it may change so better to keep updated with port numbers.
5. Now go to wifi setting and long press the wifi (from which u r connected) and check advanced options.
6. Choose manual proxy option and put the host name 127.0.0.1 and port no. (e.g. 8118 ) which u noted in step 4
Now u can check https://check.torproject.org from any browser and volla Congo this browser is configured to use tor.
Sorry for long guide but it is detail enough so that anyone can easily setup tor in cm builds.
Note: You have to undo manual proxy option to none after you don't use vpn.

Module Obb on SD attempts to make it seamless - just enable module, reboot and move obb's to SD card (to same folder: Android/obb) - that's that. No need to enter any path or whitelist/blacklist any app. Do you want to only move Obb from Grand Theft Auto? Then only move that obb. Obb on SD will detect "obb on SD" and enable hooks only for this single game.

GPS has no issues.... There is no 2g/3g switch issue on LP based ROMs

hello I installed the rom but after lavvio crashes when you select the sim for text messages. shows the message (the application setting and locked abnormally) and cell and inutilizabile remains blocked in the configuration

I installed ROM multiple times but no such issue faced.... Wipe system, cache and data partition before flashing.....
it stucks when i use yours instalation guide.
after my usuall install sequence i managed to flash it.
now testing.
