[APP][2009-03-19]LockWithPassword 1.0.0.0 (WM6+) - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

I wrote a little App that locks the Device using WMs built-in password lock.
I didn't like the behaviour of this lock so I decided to set this to 24 hours and lock manually.
You need Windows Mobile 6 since the aygshell.dll is only available there.
Features:
Lock (and I mean really lock, not starting the lock settings like some other apps do)
Suspend after Lock depending on certain circumstances
Registry (can be set in Settings app)
Commandline Parameters ("suspend" / "nosuspend")
AppToDate support

Just to have a screenshot.
This is just the settings app. The actual locker does not have any UI. It just locks.

This is a brilliant, brilliant app but you might miss what it actually does so I'll explain again.
It uses the built-in password lock but it means that you can normally turn it on without requiring a password. Then when you want to (say if you think someone might try using it) then you can run this app and it will show the password screen when you turn it on. You leave it to require password after 24 hours but you can get by most of the time not using it at all.
I have been looking for exactly this functionality for a very long time. Thank-you.

Thanks for the clear explanation.

thanks mate simple app but very handy

A very useful program!
Would it be possible to provide also the integration in the Today screen, so that one can activate the lock quickly and easily?
Thank you!

I would recommend you use any launcher you want and integrate a Button to launch it, because a separate Today Plugin would be too much in my opinion!

will Loopy tweak help to keep it work after heavy use ?
I have no idea, but you can try it. I only now that this app have cause some issue when the phone is in Airplane Mode. (you can't connect to network)
Oh haven't checked this. But I won't use this lockscreen due to missing quick setting of sound / vibration .. but i could try to use it from status bar .. i will try once more xD thanks anyway

I made it with loopy tweak and excluded from task killer and even if i reboot the processes with FMR (great app) it's still alive only the airplane mode problem. I think the Pin insertion is included in standard launcher /lockscreen so it doesn't work but i don't need airplane mode LOL so everything 's good.

Lock screen mod?

Hey guys,
Not sure if this is the right area, please feel free mods to move this post over to the right section.
Today I was at an event where taking pictures was very much needed. Not at all times however, so it meant a lot off "Phone on, lock pattern, camera, phone off, in pocket" etc. Unlocking the phone is slightly tiresome, however albeit essential for my workplace.
So! I've had a thought. Is there any current or possible modification(s) that can be made to the lock screen, when their is a PIN or pattern enabled, which could give access to certain apps straight from the lockscreen without the need to input the pattern or pin?
This would simply cut out the need to unlock the phone if all I need to so is shoot a video or picture. I also understand the need for their to be some form of extra security as a user could theoretically open the camera and then press the home screen and they are past the security however hypothetically speaking.. could this ever work?
I hope i managed to explain myself well enough there lol!!
Send from my i9100 ICS
There are plenty of lockscreens out there like milocker/magiclocker/widgetlocker that allow you to unlock straight to a camera/sms/phone, just don't think they work with a pin or pattern.
I use widgetlock from the market it can be customised to suit your every whim lol
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
milocker'm using now and it works pretty well that mentioned above are good options
Another vote for WidgetLocker here; it's really easy to add a widget to the lockscreen that launches your preferred camera app.
Brilliant lads thanks! Does widget locker allow lock phone generally with pattern/pin but access to camera without?

Yep +1 for wigetlocker from me.
Latest version is awesome compared to earlier ones.
I bought it ages ago and shelved it for jkay and go locker but I installed it again last week and it's really come a long way.
This was what made me take another look at it.

Just tested this - if you have PIN security set up then you still need to enter the PIN even if you're starting the camera app from the widgetlocker screen.
Hmmm.. might be time for me to look into some coding!

GO locker work well.... n lots of pattern to choose thr...
Does Go Locker work without Go Launcher?
No, Go Locker requires Go Launcher to be installed.

[APP][ALPHA][MATERIAL][Oct27] SmartLockScreen for Android

[size=+3]SmartLockScreen for Android - Bringing Lollipop smartness to JB and above![/size]
Code:
Disclaimer:
This app is in alpha stage. Though safe for daily use (none of the testers have got locked out of their phones),
rooted phone is recommended for testing, so that system password can be reset via adb.
If the previous sentence scares you, do read on, and if you find it interesting,
follow this thread and try out the app when it reaches Beta stage
(It'll not take much time).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
[size=+1]Looking for alpha testers. Feedback will be much appreciated![/size]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
[size=+2]Introduction[/size]
Make your phone lock smarter! Automatically change and remove passwords based on your current 'Environment'.
Convert Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth Devices or Location areas into trust agents, and let them do the phone unlocking for you!
That is just 1 method of using the app. Possibilities are endless!
Also brings Lollipop style lockscreen notifications.
[size=+2]Features[/size]
Define environments - Each environment can be a combination of any of Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi network and Location.
Set passphrase for each environment. The app detects environment changes and changes the passphrase automatically in the background.
How is this useful? Consider this: Say you define environment home, which says Home is when the phone is connected to Home Wi-Fi (you can use location also, or both together). For environment home, set password as none. And for unknown environment, you can set, say, a pattern lock. So whenever you are at home, you can unlock the phone easily, but when outside, it'll set a lock and prevent unauthorized usage by others.
Another scenario is adding an environment which checks for your bluetooth headset. Phone is automatically secured when you move away, and unlocks automatically when you come back to it.
These are just indicative. Possibilities are endless!
Notifications in lock screen - Lollipop style! It's not totally there yet, it's an ongoing work. Swipe up/down to unlock, left for camera, right for dialer.
Intelligent environment overlap resolution. But you always have the option to override it manually.
Material Design, and smooth animations. (See screenshots below)
More features are coming soon! See Features to be implemented section

Great app but unfortunately I only use fingerprint lockscreen on my N4. Waiting for an update with support of fingerprint lockscreen!
EDIT: It seems like I can't uninstall this app. Not even force close it, since there's no exit option in the app itself. What is that all about?

I suppose with a finger print lock, this app is not really required. However, I've never actually tried the finger print unlock. If it takes a bit of time to unlock, or is inconsistent sometimes, I'd definitely try and include finger print unlock once the app reaches a stable state.

I don't need to unlock my phone at home, but as soon as I leave my wifi I would like to use my fingers. Will keep an eye on this, thanks.

[APP] SWApp Lock Wear

*!! Secure your Wear Watch !!!*
*I'm proud to present you my new Wear Application !*
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.preiss.swapps.lockwear
SWApp Lock will be able to totally lock your wear devices !
*Lock is Manual or Automatic*
 • Virtual Leash (if connection with phone is broken). With Auto Unlock option.
 • On Dock (if you watch is on its charging dock)
 • No interraction (if your watch doesn't register any activity)
*Persistant Lock*
If you reboot the watch with the power button, the lock kick in quickly enough to prevent anybody from accessing the watch or resetting it to factory. (The lock speed depends on how many apps you have installed on your watch and might be quicker if SWApp Lock is installed before the other applications).
*Choice of Numpad*
*Virtual Numpad*
If you set a circular numpad and enable Invisible Keys, you will be able to use any analog face as a virtual numpad
*Hide Screen*
Choose to hide your watch screen when locked or not.
(with the option to hide only after a false code entry)
*Alternative Unlock*
If you forget your password and you have enabled persistent lock (Locked watch stays locked after reboot), this will allow you to unlock your watch: you will have to reboot your watch twice within a delay to be customized. By default delay is 5 min with 10 s tolerance. To unlock: reboot, wait until lock kick in, then if you reboot within 5 min (minus 10s) and 6 min (plus 10s) your watch will be unlocked.
SWApp Lock is already available in English, French, Dutch, Russian and Hebrew
Any feedback is highly welcome (suggestions, issues...)

[Solved] Tweak to keep watch always silhouette until tap?

Hi,
I got this watch used, arrived two days ago. I like it so far. Only tweaks done so far is unlock BL.
I want to preserve the battery life as much as possible though, while keeping it usable. So I think there is efficiency to be made by having the watch face stay as a silhouette instead of "waking up" whenever I look at it. To activate the watch, I have no problem with tapping it once or twice.
Does such a tweak exist? I could not find it in settings (only to turn screen off completely when inactive). Any prerequisites for such a tweak (e.g. root)?
Many thanks.
Are you on 5.1.1 (LCA43)? If yes, you can try disabling wrist gestures in watch settings. Of course, you won't be able to move trough cards as well if you disable it, but it will prevent the screen to leave dim mode when you move your wrist.

I tried that before (am on LCA43), but it seems to just disable the scroll. Just tried again, may have made a difference this time. Though it looks like the screen still activates 1 out of the 5 times I put the watch to my face. We shall see. Thanks!
You're correct, my bad! The setting you want is in the Android Wear app: Tilt to wake screen. You may want to keep wrist gestures on.

Found it! The guide I found had the setting on the main page. I had to tap on the actual device listing to get to the sub page with all the goodies (Google probably did it that way so you can program different actions for different watches).
Thanks again!
By the way, one day later with no charge in between. I am proud of this:
