S740 Exchange 2003 issue - S740, S743 General

Hiya
Have a situation whereby upon sync to Exchange 2003 server only approx 50% of emails are pushing through, does anyone know what could be causing this?
Having linked it up to a different 2007 exchange which worked its apparent its an issue with the 2003 server, but if anyone can shine any light on exactly what the cause of the problem could be or if Im simply fighting a losing battle due to software versions...either way any help would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks guys.

Syncing with Exchange 2003 perfectly here. Two people with different S740s as it happens.

activesync 4 problem with wm2005

Hope some one can help me with this one....
I have wm2005 on a spv m1000 (o2 xds2) running no problems, everything is great, BT, phone, activesync via cradle etc etc
big problem i have is i cannot get my contacts and calendar to sync from outlook (2003 sp1)
i keep getting error coming up, support code 85010014 with a little while exclamation mark in a red circle next to my activesync icon.
I can explore the pda but for some reason cannot sync with it... ?
please help otherwise i'll have to revert back to me 2003se....
Here's another interesting problem. I can sync perfectly in the office, but the device is not recognized at home. I've upgraded to Act Sync 4.0 and Act Sync recognizes the old PDA from my wife (only once, but it will start each time) but it doesn't recognize my WM2005. Looking in network connections using use server-assigned IP address it indicates that it is not connected. However putting the device into the cradle gives a ping on the PC. I've looked into the device manager on the PC looking for the Act Sync dll under hidden devices but couldn't find it. There was some strange sign in there which I took out, but now I get the message that Wbutton.sys is missing (maybe somebody can mail it to me) but I can't imagine that this is the reason why it won't work. I've reinstalled Act Sync a couple of times without succes. So after reading the forums for quite some time now I'm without any clue at this point and I could do with some practical advice :?
WM2005 + Outlook
Heres another for you.
I upgraded to WM2005 and activesync 4 and it would sync everything from outlook 2003 no problem then for no reason it just stopped and displays the 85010014 error. Tried reinstalling activesync removing all traces and even reflashing with a newer version of wm2005 with no luck.
I've just been playing around with exchange server and syncing my phone directly to it over wifi (bypassing pc activesync) and it worked briefly, now it comes up with an error message saying "activesync encountered a problem on the server (with a support code: 0x85010014).
Seems to me that its a problem on the phone rather than activesync on pc.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Update !!
reset xda2 back to wm2003 then went back to wm2005 and everything was fine !!!!
really weird that !, never mind, must have been an install error,
BTW :- Buzz's max ram version of wm2005 is excellent !
I have had some weird AS4 probs too, but if I temporarily disable my zonealarm firewall, it works fine every time.
yes disable windows firewall ... solved my problem (wm2005 AS4(via usb))
Same prob. here. At first had a prob. with driver. Had to install ActiveSync 4 before upgrading to WM5. ActiveSync 4 with WM2003SE works just fine. Syncing with upgraded WM5 device is a No-Go.
Am looking into it. Keep you posted!
Any help is welcome. Tim.

Same prob here with Zone Alarm, the connection isn't getting picked up as a new program for some reason so it doesn't ask for permission through the firewall.
Looking forward to a solution!
I can't revert back to WM2003 after flashed WM2K5. The HimaUpgradeUt waited too long, and then showed MODEL ID ERROR.
How can I force it to return to old 2003 version? Thanks

Just add the ip address and sub net of your xda into Zone Alarm and it will work fine. Did for me.
I recently upgraded my PDA2k to WM5 along with the new AS4.0 Beta, and recieved the same 85010014 error. I found the resolution through a thread regarding the same error code on the Internet. Typically, I choose "Work Offline" when I start Outlook. The thread directed me to connect directly to my Exchange server for the first sync. Afterwards, I was able to sync while in my typical "Work Offline" mode.
Hope this helps.
I solved my ActiveSync problem with Error 85010014.
I also run Eudora and Incredimail Plugin for Outlook on both PCs, Work and Home. Both are on XP Pro SP2 and when I installed ActiveSync 4.1 on my work PC without issue, I decided to attack my Home PC Outlook installation to see if I could resolve the issue.
So, At home:
Putting Outlook in Offline mode did not solve the problem.
I uninstalled ActiveSync 4.0 and installed ActiveSync 4.1 - No difference.
I backed up Outlook via 3rd party program to grab account settings as well as my 2GB pst file then ran Help->Detect and Repair... - reboot, no difference.
I then ran Control Panel -> Add or remove Programs -> Office 2003 and chose to modify my installation by adding or removing components. I unchecked Outlook and updated it to remove Outlook from my Office 2003 suite. Then returned to this option and re-checked Outlook to add it back to my Office 2003 Suite, CD-Rom in hand but updating, it did not ask for the Office 2003 Install CD-Rom... - Rebooted and connected - Bingo NO 85010014 error!

Can't Sync ??? HELP!!!!!

I am using an XDA upgraded to WM2003SE. It has been working great for 2 weeks with some minor gliches here and there. Suddenly today it will not sync. Tried soft and Hard resets to no avail. Can some one make a suggestion?
Dear tsuyokikan,
I think your information is not sufficient. Please check your outlook whether it is still active and that the sync account (account that you choose to sync your XDA with outlook) is still accessible. My gut is that the problem may not root in your XDA device, so do also check the outlook functionality.
Any progress on this, please tell me. HTH
Cheers,
Ken
Dear Ken_xda,
It appears to be some kind of issue with the phone. I had recently upgraded to Active sync 4.0 and was able to sync once and that is when all the trouble started. I even tried removing Activesync from my PC and reloading it. When I attempt to sync the sync software comes on and makes the connection sound but my XDA does not respond with the connection sound like it had previously. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Sincerely
Jeremy
As much as i know, WM2003SE does not start automaticly on the Wallaby device.
Have you tried to run it manually on your device?

Yes, I did try that. I simply do not understand this. It had been working totally fine and then it just went whacky.
Still Can't Sync?????
Have benn working on trying to sync all afternoon. Iread the owners manual, tried setting up new syncs and nothing works. I did find an error message on the XDA under Activesync which reads: Unable to connect. Verify your dialup or proxy settings are correct, and try again. Does anyone have any ideas?
It looks like its trying to connect to internet.
In my Navbar under connectivity it shows my phone service and then under that it says The Internet and net to that it says PC connection. Could this be my problem? If so how do I change it so I can Sync again. Thanks in advance for any help.

hi guys this is a problem to me also http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/7977/asyncerror0hw.png
how can we solve this problem? my problem is i can't sync to my PC

WM2005 1.50h installed - a few gripes

I have installed Wm2005 1.50h on my XDA2, but have just a few small problems.
First of all, Activesync is synch'ing fine with XP SP2, but the PPC keeps on looking for the active synch connection when taken out of the cradle. A bit annoying as I would imagine it is using a bit of power whilst it does that.
Secondly, Journal bar, doesn't seem to want to update content through my laptop connection (active sync works)
Finally, the camera quality (particularly video) is VERY bad - much better before the upgrade.
Anybody solved these issues?
no not really, and if you read the wiki you will find that you don't have mms either.
but its getting there, version 1.60 has been created today.
I would sugest some further reading to find out about the "known bugs" before running upgrades.
oh and your camera and record Buttons may/may not work either (and until the gods figure out what causes it),its pot luck

Missed Call Issue

I'm seriously tempted to buy one of these devices, as my MDA Pro is abit big for work.
Has the Missed Call Issue been resolved yet?
As far as I followed the discussions on various boards, the "Missed Call Issue" has only occured with U.S. carriers, I haven't seen a complaint by someone outside the U.S.
I am using my 8500 for the last three weeks, and I never had a missed call....
Additionally there seems to be a workaround!
hi i m really interested in changing from prophet to startrek, i would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out on the following:
1. battery life - mp3 + bluetooth (2 hours), calls (30 minutes), PDA (1 hour). would i have to recharge it everyday?
2. dust problem - will dust slip in between the display and the phone?
3. the ringtone - is it too soft? what if i change it to MP3 ringtone would it help?
4. AD2P - is it just mono sound using bluetooth headset and is there AD2P?
Thanks in advance guys!
oh and one more thing, can i activesync my existing contacts and schedules to the startrek?
From my experience:-
1) No, every other day.
2) No, the screen is sealed.
3) I use the oldphone ringtone from the PDA's and it's pretty loud.
4) A2DP is stereo, but you have to set a reg key to make it that way.
Bonus question: Yes, you can active sync your stuff.
thanks for your answer wwaveydave!!

Yes it syncs well however, I have had a few conflicts as I have a QTEK S100 sync'd with 2 PCs and wanted to also sync the 8500. I first needed to upgrade from activesync 3.8 to 4.2 which was supposed to be easy. Bl**dy microsoft, no way was it. Had trouble connecting and also 4.2 seemed to think my phone was never ever connected.
Got it sync'd now and all seems well. Problem for me was activesync 4.2 syncs more information and this didn't help. It now sync's contact photos which is nice.

Anyone got MS Exchange Sync problem after flashed EnergyRom23127?

Hi all, Just flashed to EnergyRom23127 on my HD2 and everything great but I can't sync w/ my Exchange server
Message "Synchronizing" on the middle of screen and "connecting" at lower left. Seems it can't connect to the Exchange server but I got it sync after I flash it back to Original rom 1.72...
Any clue? Thanks.
you might have a better chance of getting an answer if you asked this in the ROM thread.
But, try this:
