tools to remove screws. - G1 Accessories

does sears or kmart or ace or some place sell them im planning on taking my white bricked phone screen cover and put it on my bronze phone.

you might be able to find them at a regular store, but i would suggest ebay
btw what are your plans for the phone itself?

You need a T-5 and a T-6, as well as a #0 Phillips screwdriver. Best of luck finding them locally, you may get lucky. I got mine a long time ago on eBay, and they have proven to be very useful over the years!

sears carries them, i used to buy one single T-6 for $2 all theeeee time. i used to use it so much they wouldnt work anymore lol.

just keep it on the sid till we fix bricked fones. thanks ill call sears.

if it was a craftsman tool it should have a lifetime warranty, so you only need to buy 1
Then again for disassembling a phone it should last forever, as the screws aren't going to be torqued down very much.

You need to check the reputation of the seller before you buy from E-Bay.
And even than you are not sure about the quality of the battery.
The best is to buy the original battery recommended by HTC.
Actually, the best thing to do is, whenever you even remotely consider buying something from ebay, have a friend whack you in the head with a brick. There's a reason why the prices on ebay are so low...it's cause 99% of the products are either advertised as something they are not, or the seller is a straight up scammer and won't send you anything at all. Feedback is useless; there are networks of scammers out there who generate feedback for each other that appears to be legitimate.
If I sound a bit disgruntled, I'm sorry, but so far over the past 3 months I've lost over 500$ on ebay and STILL waiting for paypal dispute resolution to take care of it.

......................although; one can always have a great experience, bar the 2 cars I have bought! (Cars were under £200!)
Ebay is good but you have to do alot of research, just received the Seinheiser CX500 headphones.......fantastic and the world is far away due to the quality.........
Will
That's cool...I know I have had SOME good transactions on ebay, but I just hate the fact that when things go wrong they seem to tell you that they will help fix it when they dont...they need to regulate things more, because there are so many scammers on ebay...i would bet my life that there are at least 100 people gettimg scammed right this second
BTW Seinheiser is great..I've tried those and I liked them
For wired headphones though i use Ultimate Ears in ear monitors...theyre amazing but they cost ALOT
I'm trying to some some studio quality bluetooth headphones at the moment with no avail
Ebay
I get just about all of my phone accessories on ebay. Most of the stuff while cheap does what they say. True feedback does not mean much but I have bought all my extra batteris there and saved a lot of money. $ 12 for a battery there compaired to $40-50 eleswhere. I think it is worth a try.
I second surgex0. When stuff goes wrong ebay/paypal doesn't care.
And batteries - I got some 'new' batteries once that were original branded but lasted 20% my store bought batteries did. I'd stay away.

[Q]Im Buying a G-Tablet :)!

Where is the cheapest place to buy one the lowest price I found was on amazon which is the same as a close store,
I also want to get a good case for it, after I buy I plan on installing Vegan rom so any suggestions on where To buy it?
Not on fleabay. You will mostlikely get hosed. Many people have had good luck with woot.com and tigerdirect.
You could probably look in the general forum and see if another gtaber is selling one. We see ones with cases and extra schwag going for the same price as new all the time.
There's a Woot! Off going on, today - there's a chance that they might add the GTAB at some point, and most likely for $285 if they do.

It is possible to find a good deal on e-bay, just make sure to know what your maximum bid will be, for what you get.
I got mine there, paid $300 for the package that included the G-Tablet, a case for it (would pay $20 plus shipping from electronic crap) and a bluetooth GPS that amazon sells for $35. So, in all, I pretty much got the G-Tablet for under $245.
The "CLIP" on electroniccrap is perfect for the gtab. Although it blocks access to the full size usb port.

I think I'm just gonna buy from the store, I don't want it used ofc I like the feeling of opening box :3
Ya I think staples is selling it down the street at least that's what good says for the same price that it is on amazon.

Currently, 10" gtab is on sale in Tigerdirect.com on $270 (use coupon code: FDQ33784) with free shipping (ends by 6/15). That is the same price I bought from Woot.com in April. If you want a good case, you can try electroniccrap.com. They have many custom design cases for gtab and good service. I hope it will help you to get into gtab world easier.
Thanks for the advice ;o Tho im not sure if im gonna buy by the 15 was waiting more towards the end of the month I guess we will see.
Just picked one up at the TD store in Buffalo Grove, and the dam thing has a white line down the left side of it, but the battery was completely dead so I will give it a charge and see... I got mines last month from a local Office Depot for $299.99. It seems that is they regular price for the Gtab. Sears also has it for the same price but their stock is depleted locally.

well just because it has the 1.2 bootloader doesn't mean you have a big loss on your part. There are plenty of choices for the 1.2 bootloader.
If you don't mind picking one up used, but in good condition.. check Craigslist out. I scored mine for $180 with all original accessories, including the foam sleeve that it comes in. Not a scratch on it!!
Edit: sellout.woot has them for $249.99 + $5 shipping today. That is a sweeeeet price for a brand new one!

That or you can download the picture to your phone and just show it to the sales person when you're ready to pay. They'll just scan it off your phone.
i just got this case yesterday for only $20 http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/AddOns...4e39-b18d-e091488f1786&inCart=True&catCode=21

i bought that case when i first got my amaze, i dont use it anymore. I found it damaged my phone (more specific, the raised edge around the glass is chipped). Granted i have 3 batteries so taking it on and off, which is a PIA with this case, probably didnt help at all, but now it just sits there collecting dust. just my $0.02

Oic...not sure if you got a bad one or if they have made new ones since, cos mine doesn't even touch the glass part.

I know how you feel man, I really dont recommend this case at all.
Thanks for this post, I would have never known about this if not for you... You Da Man
I tried the D30 dual protection case with the coupon, didn't like how it didn't wrap around the phone case and rise above the glass, so took it back and got their "band" cover with clear back cover. The US stores also have a "buy 2 get 1 free" offer for accessories for a few weeks. Some stores may notice that this coupon cannot be combined with any other promotion, but the girl who sold me the first cover last week didn't bother to check that ... whoops, I missed that opportunity, could've got a $35 accessory for 30% off, then another, and gotten some earbuds or something free. D'oh!

Glass, is, hm, dead :(

Ok, here is what just happened to my Galaxy s2 today...
And I talked to few stores, but they all told me that they cannot replace only glass, it has to be replaced with display so it would cost me 170 euros, so, is that my destiny or they just want to take as much money they can?
Oh, boy... That gem is bleeding...
I'm from the Philippines and I don't know how much 170 euros cost. But try to weigh the cost, sir. If you think that it's almost the price of a new unit, you're better off buying a new one. But if you think that it's a good deal, then good deal it is.
If you are handy you can try to buy the parts on ebay and replace it yourself, should cost you around half that. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1253969
Fail that, look around, even for dealer replacement that is pretty high.

I just bought a used phone from a for sale site tonight just so I can steel the glass/lcd/digitizer. It really is an easy process to swap the whole unit out, it really only takes about 20 minutes.

Accessory Coupons and Deals

After looking for a couple of minutes for a current t-mobile accessory coupon(to not avail), I thought there should be a coupon/deal thread for note 3 accessories on here. Post away and help out the community if you find something special.
I had the rep write one a business card the 30% off plus the buy-two-get-one they were offering today. He committed to make good on it when the S-view case came out.
We'll see, but they didn't have anything in print, nor a way for me to find it.

The buy 2 get one free is an everyday promotion that T-Mobile has always had.
I was at a T mobile store today looking for a case but $35 was too much for the tech 21 case they have, and they were selling screen protectors for $25....way too much, no thanks

I'm a former rep, so I don't advocate this but.. I always think it's worth it to grab a case when you purchase the phone-- even if you order another one and return it within 30 days (for refund). You could also buy a case, return it later, and then do a buy 2 get 3rd free, if you're not obvious about it. No system controls in place to prevent that.
Not sure if this is common knowledge, but if you register your device with samsung at http://www.samsung.com/us/support/account (US site link) you get a coupon for 50% off any accessory under 50 bucks, it won't quite get an S-View cover which is infuriating, but it is something! The code is good for 90 days after you register, and is one of the better ways to get a cheap replacement s-pen if you happen to lose those!

You don't have to register a device. Those 50% codes are easily found at the regular coupon code websites. I used one myself recently (rv18623) and got 50% off some accessories. Probably still valid.
Seidio has 15% off today, use FB15 at checkout.
Edit:
Just saw this today and tried to use it but says it'e expired.

Thee 50% off code will be handy, WHEN Samsung actually puts their accessories up. Talk about a company that is so DYSFUNCTIONAL, they just don't have their stuff together. The GN10.1 is out next week and no accessories for that anywhere.
The 50% off anything up to 50 dollars is so stupid since the only case they sell is 59 dollars. I just happened to register my phone and when the email came with the offer I actually got excited for a second, still it will bring the cost of their dash mount down to $25, S-Pen $15.00 as well as chargers, cables etc. Link to accessories: Just search around through other mobile devices and maybe find something else of use to use it on, maybe blue tooth or whatever.
