Tough HD & Micro SDHC 8 GB

Wonder if Touch HD (official rom) can be used with Micor SDHC 8 GB (class 6)?
Seem like internal memory is not enough to carry more MP3 & VDO.
Reports say that it supports up to 32GB microSDHC
Touch HD micro SD
Touch HD is shipped with 8GB micro SD card

Well in that case I think I'll use my 8gb class 4 in my TOUGH HD and use the class 2 that came with it in my Trinity, not that the speed makes much difference in phones. I see that on www.toppreise.ch they already have the Sandisk 16gb microSD class 2 available for around CHF 80. I'll most likely be jumping for one of those soon
I wonder what this thread has to do with ROM Development???

True, I looked closely at the thread list in this "development" section and it looks like the Blackstone is so new people are just starting threads all over the place without looking. I'm sure when there is some real meat in the development category it will settle down.

Oh yes. You should be able to use a 32GB microSDHC in the future as well.
I was in the process of buying a 16GB class 2, but wanted to make sure that it is the best I can get now. Hate to buy obsolete stuffs.
Using one now in my Touch Cruise, works like a charm, no problems at all, and good speed too!

Yes, this is what I want. Unfortunately I've already ordered a class 2 card.
I'll see if I can cancel that order.
Thanks!
do we know (for sure) that class 6 is going to make a difference when you want to use the touch HD for media playback? has there been any benchmarks yet?

It's a good price, but not useful for a smartphone, because this is a SDHC card and not a micro SDHC card.
anyone know when there will ever be 32GB micro's available ?
I have the Nokia 16Gb SDHC Class 4 and
the speed is the same as the 8Gb included with the HD
What about these?

Stock MicroSD Card

Anybody know the speed of the Stock MicroSD card that came with our Vibrants? I threw in a 16GB Class 2 and honesty it seems kinda laggy. I was able to Transfer files to it via my PC at what appeared to be around 9MB so I would of only assumed that was pretty close to what we had in there before.
One that came with mine is a class 2. 2gb anyway so I threw it out. I use a transcend 16gb class 6 instead.

You can test the data speed. I recall class 4 also.

[Q] MicroSD Class good enough?

Hello,
I recently bought an 8GB microSD, class 4 (it's all I can afford ). Tested it for write speeds (output is 6.2MB/s). I assume I'm not gypped or something and I got the real deal (bought it at a computer store). I was wondering if this is good enough for the x10 mini pro if ever app2sd works.
Also I would like to know what capacity/class your microSDs are (for statistical purposes)
Thanks!
Are you sure 6Mb /s ? then its class 6 ... I have a 2GB .... yes app2SD will work

I thought I can put a whole offline wikipedia in it. Turns out the whole English DB is 6 gigs... Not enough space left for music and pictures and maps...

I haven't tested yet (I already gave it away)
But I think it's class 4 or class 6. It can't be class 2 because it's waaay faster than 2mbps.

Hello, could you post screenshot of Settings -> SD-card and telephone memory so we get an idea of the total space. Also, are you using the mini or the mini pro, though I don't think this will make a difference. Thanks

kabayan!
I have the original 2GB with me. i researched it and i think its Class 4 Kingston.
Micro SDs have Class 2 to Class 10 (Class 10 as the highest, having minimum of 10mbps speed, 16GB and 32GB I think).
I've read somewhere that its recommended to have Class 10 MicroSD if you'll be using Apps2sd. but if your 8GB works fine, thats cool.
I dont want to root my phone so no Apps2sd for me though i really really need more space in my internal storage now.
Im hoping the rumors are true that X10 mini and mini pro (and of course, the big x10) would get Froyo updates on 2011. I think Froyo natively allows installation of apps in SD right?
I bought my 16GB mSD class2 2009 for my Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia.
Dropped and ruined the Omnia in a puddle of water in the spring of 2010. But both SIM-card and the 16GB memory card survived the water even if the Omnia didn't
Still using the 16GB card for both photos and music as well as for a few movies in the X10 Mini.
I don't know why a class2 that shouldn't read or write more than 2MB/s does both well over it's 2 MB/s limits in the computer.
The SIM-card was destroyed this January as my contract with Telenor expired.

[Q] 32 GB SDHC card for Galaxy Ace

Hello everyone.
Do any of you use a 32GB sized SDHC card in your Ace? I know it's supposed to support it, but I'd love to hear your experiences.
BTW: Which brand of SDHC cards do you recommend? I'm planning to buy a class 10 card with at least 16GB space this week, and I'd appreciate your input.

I would prioritise Class rating over size anytime especially when you talk about capacity over 8GB.

Yeah, I wrote in my OP, that I'm gonna buy a class 10, as high read/write speeds are what I'm after, followed by a decent size(at least 8GB).

I am leaning more towards Kingston 16GB class 10 micro SDHC, 'cause I've had nothing but good experiences with their products.
Thank you all...
