Platronics 855 stereo bluetooth headset - G1 Accessories

I bought this headset about a month ago when i got my G1, and I love it for music and such.
But whenever I receive an incoming call or try to place a call, I cannot hear the other person, just my echoes. I have tried unpairing and repairing it, resetting the phone then reconnecting the headphones, but no luck.
Any advice?

i have the same model and it has worked great for me so far and ive had it for about 6 months now
it was hard to get it actually paired to my g1 for some reason it couldnt find it but since then no prob

I have a BT200 and it works fine... I just have to answer it from the headset not the phone

have you tried the 500v?
I tried the Jabra BT250v with the 8525, and the functions work well except for volume. Pairing was fine, voice dialing from the headset works, answering calls with the headset works. However, even after setting the volume to maximum in a quiet room, I can barely hear a conversation. I contacted HTC support, and they confirmed that there is no setting or hack that will increase 8525 volume to a BT headset. Also contacted Jabra support, and they said I probably have a bad headset, but since I bought it from a third party on eBay, they will not replace it, even though it was NIB.
I am now using a less expensive Motorola H350, and it works great. Stays paired, answers calls, initiates calls, and terrific volume -- often don't even need the max. I can easily make and receive calls while my 8525 stays in my pocket.

A2DP - No sound when calling

Hey!
A few weeks ago i tested an A2DP headset (motorola) with my Qtek 8500. After pairring and activating handsfree and A2DP on the unit, i tested it out. Music playback works great, but when making calls, no sound is present, neither from the phone or the headset, and the guy on the other end cant hear a thing..
I thought it was the headset that was buggy, as I tried it with my TyTn as well, and same thing.
Then i got a Nokia BH-501 today, and quess what? Same **** different wrapping. I now believe the problem lies in WM5.0, and someone else must have the same problem.
Qtek 8500
Newest Danguard ROM installed. (When i tried the moto headset, the previous ROM was installed)
i use the sony dr-bt10cx ear bud type. the only controls on it are volume and on/off/discover. when it is set to wireless stereo, i can only answer by using the flip. if i call out under the wireless stereo profile, the sound and mic go thru the headset. the sony-ericsson earbud one works fine for taking calls and listening to music, but has a 3 or 4 hour battery life compared to the 10-12 hours of the dr, and the sound quality isn't as good as the dr. that's been the case on the last qtek rom, and the first beta cingular rom

Need help with bluetooth headset....

I have searched all over the net and found out that for some reason the wing isnt very good at working with bluetooth headsets. I recently bought a nice Plantronics Explorer 320 headset due to the hands free law California imposed earlier this month. I was able to set up the headset with no problem and the wing pairs fine, but when I speak the receiving end cannot hear me. I hear them perfectly fine. I have am using OTP v3.0 (will download WM7 tomorrow when ttran uploads it) and to no luck can I get anyopne to hear me. When I got home I called my house phone using the BT device so I could do some troubleshooting. I did notice if I rubbed the microphone part of the BT device I could hear that noise on the house phone but if I talk into the mic nothing. I did try this BT device on my friends Blackberry Curve and it worked fine so I know its not the BT device. Any help would be much appreciated.

Bluetooth lacks full duplex function?

Everytime i use a bt headset when the other part talk to me and i try to speak at the same time they can' t hear me. Today i made a test: i asked my wife to count from one to ten and i did the same together. Althought i was able to hear her, she wasn't able to hear me! I tried four different headsets and the problem is common. Sorry for my bad english.
Are you using cheap BT headsets? I have my Jawbone and its works fine with no issues. If you have the money for 4 different headsets, i would get rid of them and buy the jaw bone or another higher end BT headset. also in my car, i have a pioneer BT120. full nav, BT music streaming and phone calls. no issues with that either.

Same problem with Parrot ck3000 EVO (lastest v5.25 firmware), but only if i start a call via voice command (with green button on handsfree remote). If i start call manually from phone microphone works without problem

Any way to get the phone speaker to ring when bluetooth headphones are connected?

Hi!
Got this little nagging issue that is bothering me. At work I use a bluetooth Jabra65 headset. Problem is I don´t wear on my head all the time (talkin to coworkers, listening to audio through speakers etc) and have them around my neck. When doing this I keep missing calls since the ring signal is played through the headset (which I´m not wearing) and not through the phone speaker.
I really would like the ring signal to be played BOTH on the phone and through the bluetooth headset. Any way to set this up? I´ve tried all the audio and bluetooth settings I could find on the Mate 10p but no success. Thanks for any advice.
Lo and behold! Just half an hour after I posted above I got a call and got loud and clear signal on both phone and in headphones . Magic! ....or maybe the upgrade to android10 that landed last night?
