[APP][VGA][11SEP09]Gen.Y Manila "Revolution" R1.5 VGA Port CFC - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

"Posts that do not contribute to progress are not useful because they make it complicated to find relevant information for people who can help."
Before we start, my thanks go out to sztupy and 6Fg8 for their amazing tools, without them this port wouldn't have been possible. Another big thanks goes to ChainFire for his amazing CFC GUI which saves alot of storage space.
Thanks also go out to xbmod for his work on the VGA port of the new manila which served as an inspiration for this port, and to Captain_Throwback who has helped me with testing (WM6.5) and cabbing up the package.
While xbmod's vga port was a great feat, it did have some shortcomings since it was based on a beta version. We have all waited a long time for a new version, but since xbmod wasn't able to continue his work, I decided to give it a shot myself. This port was not easy, alot of hours have been spent trying to port the layout to VGA. But it's finally getting ready to be released.
This release will not be perfect, the first release will also have limited landscape support, but the new v2.1 manila is a great improvement in terms of stability and performance that make it worthwile.

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ)
What's this SMS issue about?
- ActiveSync confirmed to be working fine
- Microsoft MyPhone confirmed to be working fine
Possible new solution to PIMBackup!
This solution will screw up some special letters (letters as ç, ü, â etc..)
Kisja said:
Hi, I didn't read all posts, so excuse me if it is already known.
I was able to fix my contacts without readding them (2 SMS send if PimBackup used)!
1. run PIM Backup, select ONLY Contacts for Backup, tap "Next"
2. UNCHECK "Binary Backup"
3. Proceed until finished
4. Unzip the created backup (pib) file
5. Open the contacts_*.csc file with Notepad++ (or any other editor supporting encoding conversion)
6. Select "Format" -> "Convert to ANSI"
7. Save the file
8. Pack the file back into the PIB file (use zip)
9. run PIM Backup again and choose the modified PIB file for restore
10. choose to delete all existing contacts
11. Let PIM Backup assign the columns automatically (";" as separator)
12. Proceed until restore is complete
It worked for me! No SMS bug anymore! So only one SMS is sent!

* UPDATE: Possible solution to PIMBackup problems HERE (thx go to drake2007)
Manila v2.1 (and newer versions like v2.5) are not compatible with the way PIMBackup restores your contacts. If u do use PIMBackup, you'll most likely face an issue when sending 2 messages after one another to the same person (the first message will be sent, but when u press send after your 2nd message, you'll get a message saying "Text Message cannot be sent"). Those who are using ActiveSync should not experience any problems.
here's the final word on the SMS Issue (taken from Dutty's thread):
Regarding manila v2.1 with sms I think one user who had probs sending and recieving through manila interface as narrowed it down to unicode in contacts so probably htc changed few stuff,
So backing up ur old contacts and using manila v2.1 could give u the sms bug before, probably explained why some user who doesnt get like me as I use activesyc to back up all contacts.
Click to collapse
so basicly, if u have ever restored contacts from pimbackup, you will most probably get the sms bug (even if u use pimbackup, then activesync, then delete contacts and use activesync to restore contacts)
if u have never used pimbackup, you're good to go
if you did, like me, you will probably have to delete and re-add all your contacts (i tried this out, and basicly i deleted a contact, re-added his number, and voila, sms issue is gone)
I have the Manila Start Menu now and i can't acces windows settings? Where is it?
Go to the settings tab and press all settings, voila you're there
Why is there no weather forecast in the calendar tab?
To enable weather forecast in calendar tab day view, u need to add your city in the weather, then go world clock and make sure your city is selected there as well (the forecast will only be visible if the weather city and clock city are the same)
If that doesn't work, change the following registry key (standard = dword:00000000)
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"WorldClock.LocalIndex"=dword:00000001
I can't open my e-mails, how can i fix it?
superman.namrepus said:
For those of you that are having problems with opening email. This is what I have found...
Look at your registry and see if it reads as follows.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Templates\IPM\Note]
"Read"="\\Windows\\HTC_read_note.htm"
If this true you need to change it to the following and reset your phone and all should be good.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Templates\IPM\Note]
"Read"="\\Windows\\read_note.htm"
I hope this helps as it did for me. This was a problem some time back and some one over at PPCGeeks came up with the fix. I do not remember who though.

Thanks again goes to yozgatg for the port and providing the files to make it easy for me to cab up .
WM6.1 Build 21000+ or WM6.5 recommended!!
NOTE: Tachi/Topaz/Rhodium/Qilin Dialer is NOT included in this package, but is NECESSARY for calling from the People tab of Manila. Download links & information regarding the dialers can be found in the Tachi Dialer thread and in this post.
Instructions
1) Disable "TouchFLO 3D" from your Today items. Soft reset.
2) Go to System Settings, "Power", and uncheck all of the Options on the "Advanced" tab (see this post for details/screenshots - thanks dharvey4651)
3) From the "REQUIRED" folder, install the "Gen.Y_Manila_R1_5.cab" (install may take 10 minutes or more). DO NOT RESTART.
4) Install the appropriate Language Pack for your locale (0409 is WWE). DO NOT RESTART. NOTE: Languages besides 0407/0409/0410/0413 are included in the "Additional Languages" folder in a single cab file.
5) Go into the "WM6.1" or "WM6.5" folder (depending, of course, on your build) and install the appropriate version of HTC Scroll. NOW SOFT RESET.
Done!
Optional Installs (included in R1.5 package):
- HTC Album_3_0_19141129_0.cab (WWE) - This is the Album version from the Tachi, which includes Media Toolkit. This allows you to choose Wallpaper from the Manila interface using Album, and allows you to choose a Contact picture in the New Contact Card using the "Open Album" Menu option. NOTE: 0407/0410/0413 users will need to install the language pack for their locale in addition to the main Album cab file.
- HTC SensorSDK_4_0_19112326_0 - For Manila Auto-Rotation. This can be toggled from the "Settings" tab of the Manila interface. NOTE: If using Album versions older than 3.0, installing this will prevent pictures from rotating on the device, and may also effect the orientation of pictures taken with the Camera.
- HTC Message_Enhancement_1_1_19173323_04.cab - This gives you the option to "Save to Contacts", call people from e-mails, etc. NOTE: This does not work with all ROM versions!!
- HTC DShow_2_0_19151432_0.cab - This is for Tab Vibration in Manila. Most ROMs will have a version of DShow already included, so installing this cab may not be necessary. NOTE: Some other device apps use DShow, so installing this version may cause issues with your device.
- HTC VolumeControl_2_1_19142727.cab - This is a newer version of Volume Control that allows you to choose between Single & Dual Volume control using the "Sounds" option in the Manila Settings menu.
Known Issues:
R1.5
- Facebook integration no longer gives you an option to sync Birthdays with Facebook contacts.
- If using Message Enhancement, Company Directory does not scroll all the way to the bottom of the page.
R1.1
Message Enhancement does not work on all ROMs.
R1
When installed on ROMs with a previous TF3D version included, there is an issue with the ability to open e-mails. This is related to Message Enhancement. This cab is the Manila 2.1 WWE install package, not including Message Enhancement (Optional folders & HTC Scroll also not included in this package). This will correct the issue, but it must be installed INSTEAD of (or as a replacement for) the above versions. Confirmed by owlmatt to be working. UPDATE: Megaupload Mirror

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (part 2):
Q: What does WWE stand for?
A: World Wide English - If you live in the US and speak English, that's the one you want.
Q: I installed this, and all my Manila tabs now say "IDS_...." on them. What gives?
A: You didn't install the Language pack for your locale. See above question if you live in the US, speak English, but don't know which one to install.
Q: I installed this, and now Opera is loading on boot? How do I fix this?
A: This is because you're using a version of Opera 9.5 that is older than 16277. You can either update your Opera 9.5 version, with one that is newer and that was made for an HTC phone (i.e. one you'd likely find on XDA - 9.7 Beta will NOT work). Those are the ones that will work with Push Internet. Or, you can disable Push Internet by installing this cab: T-Back Disable Push Internet.cab
Q: I have a Diamond. Can I install this?
A: Possibly, but I wouldn't recommend it, unless you're running a ROM with no Manila (TF3D) already installed. A Diamond has limited intermal memory, due to its large Internal Storage; however this Manila MUST be installed to the device memory. I recommend flashing a ROM that already has this included, such as yozgatg's Gen.Y D2 R2 (WM6.1 + TF3D2.1).
Q: Can this be uninstalled?
A: Possibly. ALL Manila-related process MUST be stopped in order to try to do so. That means you will need to disable TouchFLO 3D from the Today items and Disable Push Internet (see above for how to do that). Then, soft reset. Kill any processes linked to Manila (i.e. CommManager, AlbumSearcher, ContactEditor, OOBE, Opera) using a Task Manager such as dotFred or SKTools (actually, SKTools would be better to use to uninstall it). That should get you a clean uninstall.
Q: Is this for GSM or CDMA?
A: Both. This Manila originated from a GSM device, though, so there are some fixes for CDMA users that will need to be applied for everything to work correctly (there are issues with SMS and Weather tab updating that have been reported). yozgatg is aware of these issues and is working on a fix. UPDATE: See HERE for CDMA SMS FIX v1.
Q: This has been installing for almost 10 minutes. Is that normal?
A: Yes. It's a LOT of files . You may want to go into your Power settings, and uncheck all of the boxes on the last tab to ensure your device doesn't go to sleep during the install. That would just make it take longer, and could corrupt something.
Q: My hardware keyboard is vibrating after installing this. How do I fix this?
A: This seems to be a problem only for CDMA users. See here for solution.
Q: Will this work with the "regular" HTC Dialer (i.e. the Slide-to-Answer dialer) that comes with the Diamond/Raphael?
A: No. You NEED the Tachi/Topaz/Rhodium Dialer in order to make phone calls from the People Tab in this Manila. Get it here: Tachi PhoneCanvas

As it turns out, Manila isn't included in the Whitelist for rotating apps in the version of SensorSDK4 I made that cab from. Here's a nice program that lets you easily add apps to the Whitelist:

In the meantime, these are the registry entries that should be added for Auto-Rotation in Manila:

Q: I have no audio in YouTube/Video Player, or playback is messed up. Why?
A: This appears to be an issue with the new Full Screen Player. If you cooked this in, try using an older version of Full Screen Player. If you installed the Album cab, Here is a version that doesn't include the Full Screen Player: HTC_Album_3_0_19141129_0. Please try these solutions and report back. UPDATE: The issue appear to be with the DShow package. Here is a rolled-back version of DShow: HTC DShow_2_00_081105_0.cab. Please note that you will lose haptic feedback by installing this version, but video playback should work correctly.
Q: Why don't I see weather in my Calendar?
A: Because you first need to select your local city in the World Clock, and make it the default (or the first city in the list), and then the weather will show up in the Calendar.

Good work.
Side note: anybody know what ever happened with xboxmod? Did real life issues take precedence? Lose interest after the first port?

great work sir. I eagerly await the release so I can go back to TF3D2...
Space for rent. PM for prices!

Can't wait to try it. Thanks for the hard work.

B-E-A-utiful!!!!!!!!! I cant wait... I see the add stock image but I was wondering what the stock tab looks like... I kinda hoped that you ported the GizmoRoot part of the Stock tab. The one in the image below.
I think it blends better with the mail and people tabs... I was looking at the mode9 file and trying to play with it.
yozgatg, if it would be ok can I PM you. I would appreciate some advice. I do not like to bother people unless I have permission. Please PM me if I can get advice or direction.
Thanks for all your hard work... it looks GREAT!!! I can not wait.
Thanks,

> Also, now a warning will pop up when enabling push page (extra data transfer etc.)

i've posted the new features of v2.1 in the first post
v2.1 is only a minor update to v2.0, but compared to the beta version (xbmod's manila), the improvements (bug fixes, performance, stability) are huge
also, the port itself is in some aspects improved (at least the portrait mode) compared to xbmod's, for example:
- Completely new VGA calendar picker (see screenshot first post) ported over from Tachi manila
- Letterpicker no longer crushed
- Pile of photos now visible in Photos&Videos tab
- Scrolling issues in many pages fixed (deleting messages etc.)

i've posted the new features of v2.1 in the first post
v2.1 is only a minor update to v2.0, but compared to the beta version (xbmod's manila), the improvements (bug fixes, performance, stability) are huge
also, the port itself is in some aspects improved (at least the portrait mode) compared to xbmod's, for example:
- Completely new VGA calendar picker (see screenshot first post) ported over from Tachi manila
- Letterpicker no longer crushed
- Pile of photos now visible in Photos&Videos tab
- Scrolling issues in many pages fixed (deleting messages etc.)
- Calendar day view scrolls correctly now (see screenshot first post)
and much much more..

[ROM][WWE]Chrome ROMs & User Submitted |User-to-User Guide| Sense 2.1,2.5 or Titanium
UPDATE: 2-19-10
Newer User submitted ROMs now available. Thanks to madnish30 for updating some items and working hard to update the ROM. Here is a link to his sense 2.1 post, which hopefully he will keep updated. And here is his Sense 2.5 version. I think I will let this thread go to user submitted ROMs for now. Then you can get the Chrome ROM feel but in different flavors. Remember to keep kitchen questions to the kitchen thread. Good luck guys, and God bless. I may return at some point, but I just dont have the motivation right now and am spending all my time trying to salvage my marriage.
Check post 2 for links to User Submitted ROMs, but always read the thread to find the latest updates.
UPDATE: 1-11-10
I didnt make a lot of changes in the ROM, most changes are on my end with the kitchen. It is a newer build which has a new feature, Threaded email. I havent used it personally, but hear good things.
Chrome 23518 Titanium
Chrome 23518 Sense 2.1
Chrome 23518 Sense 2.5
Change log from previous ROMs located in posts below. Make sure to have a look to see what has changed since 21232.

Please check the version you downloaded. My FTP has been having issues. I am workin on it. You can always visit the link below and Download the correct version. This is the best way, as you know what you are getting.
Download older versions here.
LEAVE FEEDBACK so I can perfect this.
Also, Please note: My ROMs do not include a custom splash screen. There are 2 available to match the ROM available apon request.
Now the lowdown:
See post 2 for full list of Packages\Apps (OLD). Following is a list of Chrome custom addons:
-Added shortcut for switching between HTC Dialer and MS one.
-Added custom program and folder icons to nearly every program. Added "My Apps" folder for your installed programs and more organization. I like to keep the start menu clean and beautiful.
-Included a custom taskbar by bilbobrian and modified by me to be a bit lighter
-UPX Compressed most of the exe files to save space and speed up loading times
STATS:
290MB of 320MB Free Storage after customization(can anyone provide this? I have a lot installed through UC, so my numbers are way off)
120MB of 193MBFree RAM at first boot
This ROM comes equipped with a lot of extras and is by no means a "Light" ROM. It is quite fast, and still has plenty of space for anything you want to add(if there is anything to add ) I might consider a light ROM later, but for now I wanted to have a Cadillac of ROMs. Everything is included if I need it, if not, it wont hurt anything. I have included several Titanium plugins for people using Titanium instead of TF3D (Certain versions). I might also make a TF3D version which would remove Titanium for us manila users to have more free storage.
Suggestions are welcomed, but not necessary meaning it will be included/excluded.

Bugs and Fixes(This ROM is a work in progress. Rome wasn't built in a day)
-Some updated system files for build 23053. Missed these before build went online. This will make taskbar dropdown list work. I never used it during testing, so missed it Just overwrite the files in Windows folder.
Addons for Chrome 6.5
- Manila TV for GenY Manila 2.1
-The newest version of MyPhone is attatched here
-Prefer Manila's SMS interface? SMS tab is set to open MS threaded messaging by default in this ROM. Install the attatched cab to revert.
-To make SIP menu work fully install PatchedBiotouch.dll. Note that this may cause some scrolling issues, but none that I notice personally.
-If you prefer "Home" hardware button to go home instead of opening start menu, install Chrome Keypad_Old_Home.cab. Also attatched a cab ro make Home open start menu(revert)
-If you prefer the old fuzzy circle in start menu, here it is. Extract and copy into windows folder, overwriting the original.

[B]UPDATE 12-4-09[/B]
Here is a variety of ROMs to fit all your needs :D
First there are COM2 ROMs from build 21882. These have older UI style(which is what the now official 6.5 uses)
Not so many changes here, just an update. I did however change some files to modules to have them load from virtual memory rather than RAM, and compressed many image files(for space and faster loading)
Next is the COM8 builds(with lage bottom bar and start menu on bottom left)
There are some small changes across all builds mostly with dialers:
Manila 2.5 build uses newly ported LEO dialer which works hand in hand with manila 2.5. There is a small graphic glitch in this dialer noticable when keypad is shown(in SIP menu area)
Manila 2.1 and Titanium use Rhodium dialer, which should work better with Manila 2.1 and Titanium.
I have updated some applications in the 28008 builds including CleanRAM, BING(a new beta)
The titanium build also uses new Opera 10 beta2.
Sure there are more changes, but none I can recall off hand :p

UPDATE: 11-13-09
(from my original post)
All ROMs are uploading and I am spent. No more updates for a while. It was very difficult to pull all of it together because my kitchen has now tripled in size and it takes at least 330 minutes just to scroll through and make all the right selections. Then flash each one, test a bit, reflash, test, etc. I wont be around for a while, but dont let that stoip you from donating :p
Enjoy:

There are a lot of changes, but each ROM has its own qualities and changes. M2.5 of course has updated Manila 2.5 files and LEO packages that correspond to it. All HTC software upgraded to latest 1920 versions from LEO with exception of NewContactCard which is still 1919 build. Removed extra Titanium plugins(if your not using Manila I recomend another ROM anyway)
M2.1 has some minor changes, mostly theme from previous COM5 build. Re-Compressed all images for space
Titanium has all Manila items and dependencies removed. Slightly different MenuEnhancements because latest ones wont work without Manila enabled. They are yet untested.
[B]
For all builds:[/B]
-Removed most Themes
-NEW HTC Calculator from LEO
-Most will include program called Flip_it which will allow you to use GSensor for rotation.

-YouTube sound working again
-Manila 2.1
-Some issues with programs that call on Pocket Outlook :(
-This build is simply for those that want to see what direction M$ is going with 6.5.1. It is usable, but expect some incompatabilities with certain software. Some programs will require using back button to exit since they moved X button to bottom bar and some software does not support this.
-Expect more scrollbars where you didnt have them before because of the enlarged Toolbar.
-Volume hardware buttons are not working correctly at this time :( Seems they open the new Taskbar helper instead(can also access by touching clock).
-New magnifier is disabled by default, find a script in Settings>Admin Tools to change it.

-Added some radio stations to Manila TV
-more I cant remember right now
UPDATE: Added build 21921
Changelog:
-New build: 21921
-Added Manila TV page and found some pretty decent streams. If you run across a great one let me know. Might try adding Radio too.
-Battery icon issue seems to be fixed.
-Still using gwes.exe from 23001 for icon issues.

With use of UC or other restore programs you can now flash, walk away, and return later to see device is fully set up. Note that it takes a minute for customization to start because usually it loads while you are aligning screen. To do screen adjustments later, go to Settings>screen>align
-Opera build 16983(Compressed)
-LOTS more. Check posts later in the thread.

Looks pretty good. After you get a few nibbles and I hear good things I'll give it a shot.
This is great, Love the work you put into this, the new builds (21232 V2 DA-G's) are much smoother and would be perfect with your build. Thanks

I can say one bad thing right now. Not too bad, the audiomanager found in multimedia has the slider misplaced. I had it working before, but I think I must have changed something because it either gets messed up from MP3 Trimmer or the fix would be having AudioManager with everything in place and MP3 Trimmer with some things mixed up. Working on it right now. Other than that, we'll have to see. I'd like to have both, but might have to remove one or the other. The audiomanager has an MP3 Trimmer built in, which is part of the problem. Being that it is a beta build, I am not too worried about it. I'll get it fixed up soon.
EDIT: I have an odd fix for it right now, but I'm gonna narrow it down and make it easy for ya
EDIT2: Duh, the problem was on my end in a plugin I had installed during sashimi. No wonder it worked before, I added the problem myself later. So, please report any real bugs not related to addons.
I noticed you didn't mention the keyboard...
The mapping in the 20771 didn't work out for me... I messed around with it for a while and didn't end up fixing it... I ended up having to flash 2 or 3 times... (Finally back to stock, and then on to something else.) to get it to work right again... Except for that..I really enjoyed the rom...
Damn... it sure does look sexy...

This has just stock input method. No TP2. Don't need more to worry about.
Thats strange about the 20771 mapping. It was working fine for me in a few builds. Only time it was off was if I had enabled XT9, but still wasn't too bad. Maybe you have touch pro instead of Fuze? And you are talking about one of the hybrid builds right? Maybe I'll go back and make one with the standard keybooard.
If anyone having trouble downloading, I am having problems getting onto skinzone for some reason, so I don't know what is up. Let me know if its working right.

Bugs and Fixes
I found this after installing Audiomanager Titanium plugin. I think it is due to that, but thought I would post it here. Appears the plugin installer includes an AudioManager.exe file which was different than the one I cooked in. So, this most likely will not be needed.
An odd bug due to the adition of a standalone AudioManager and MP3 Trimmer. The graphics are a butSince it is an odd bug, here is an odd fix. You need to install the attatched Glossy_VGA_AudioManager cab, soft rest, then uninstall the cab. I have no idea why this would fix anything, but it does work. In process of looking furher into this. Make sure to install to device of course.

Thanks....
I've been trying & requesting an .exe or version of Audio Manager that will work outside of TF3D/TF3D2 for a while now. I don't like WMPlayer and I use CorePlayer for my .avi but it sucks as a finger frienldy music player. This also comes in handy when using SPB-MS3.
A custom "Programs" folder under the "Start Menu" would be nice to control clutter and add organization for installed programs.
Haven't flashed yet cuz I'm still luv'n your 6.1 Chrome w/Notification.
Thanks again
Nice looking and fast ROM! Thank you!
Couple of things I found:
- Launching Internet Explorer gives error message "The file :MSPIE cannot be opened...." and the phone freezes.
- Opera shows only blank page.
Looks great, unfortunately launching AS gives an error message about "MSSYNCAPP" file not being signed and incomplete and it freezes. Also, just found out that when receiving and incoming call the S2A does not work.

Yes, there is some sort of bug with all of the "short"
shortcuts seem to have something wrong. All of the registry entries are intact and the actual exe files open fine, so I'm looking into this tonight hopefully. As a temporary workaround, you could change the properties of the shortcut to point to the actual exe file. For Internet Explorer simply change from :MSPIE to
Code:
"\windows\iexplore.exe"
Leaving the part following the command from the "?" will ensure you can keep the same icon.
About the Opera, not quite sure what you mean by "shows only blank page". I mean it is literally blank page? Is the Opera skin there? Or does the page start to load and then stops. I have experienced the last before, but I think it is something in Opera or poor connection as a simple reload of the page will then show the page. If you are having trouble with connections, try the enable/disable proxy shortcuts in "Tweaks\Proxy\" folder.

Your problem is also related to the problem noted above. I will have a fix hopefully tonight.
As for the S2A, it is and has been working fine for me. Make sure you didn't use the PhoneSkin shortcut in phone folder. This is meant to toggle between the S2A dialer and the default MS one. This due to HTC/MS bug in dialer scrolling. Some people prefer MS dialer, so I made a simple script to switch on the fly. I have an updated script with more options which I will include in the fix for shortcuts. Try switchiong back and forth to make sure you have S2A enabled.

Hi jmckeejr, liking the ROM so far but I am also having the problem with the shortcuts for items such as activsync and IE. How do I change the shortcuts so this can give me access to them. Thanks. Also, any way to get the g-sensor to work when viewing pictures?

Just finished up a fix. See cab attatched to post 3. As for the G-Sensor thing, why not just use the included G-Config app? It will add the appropriate registry settings for any app you want to auto-rotate. I have disabled it by default in AudioManager because it takes twice as long to load with it enabled. Go ahead and enale it and see what I'm talking about.
Found the g-sensor right before I read your post. Thx.. Also, seems like the cab fix worked. The ROM is real nice as far as I can tell and I've been testing now for over a couple of hours. One other small bug. I've gotta keep putting back my screen brightness as it keeps putting it back to the stock settings after ever soft reset and randomly every so often but other than that, I like it!
UPDATE: I think I found out how to get the screen to stop adjusting. Was in the startup. Any way to get IE6 to play the flash videos on sites such as youtube. Or even do this in opera..? Thanks.

Ok, this ROM comes equipped with Lumos(click there). You need to go through Lumos setup under tweaks folder if you want to change the settings. I have preset it to save battery. You will notice that when you are in a dark area, the screen may be dimmer, and when in bright area the screen will be brighter.
Opera should have flash support built in(with addition of FlashLite3.1), but Youtube requires Flash 10, which is not supported by Opera. You can view videos on certain sites, but not ones that require Flash 9 or 10. You can use Skyfire for these sites I thought I had included Flash3.1, but for some reason it was missed. I'll work on it for RC1.
About the IE, I wouldn't know, as I have never really used it. I prefer Opera. If you go to www.m.youtube.com you can view the mobile version of youtube. It will play videos through streaming media player. You could also use the Youtube app which would be your best bet..
This rom is very nice the only issue i can find after using it for a full day is the shortcuts the only one thats annoying for me is the one for windows media player when selected i get a error amd the device freezes ...and when switching themes in the 6.5 home screen it hangs for a while ...but over all i like the way u put it together keep up the good work ...im lookin for some one to make me a a vey custum tmobile rom for my fuze

|RAPH|6.5|ROM|WWE| ★ EnergyROM 3.0 'Phoenix' (21731) ★ || Build date 2009/6/5 ||
Welcome to my ROM thread!
This ROM is the "3.0" series of my ROM line, and it's designed to have the latest and greatest applications and improvements.
Because of this it may not always be as stable or bugfree, as a stock ROM. However, I can assure you, it's much... MUCH faster than any stock ROM on your device. I build my ROMs for speed, therefore this is a "performance" ROM. Battery life is not important here
The ROM is being continuously developed and bug fixed and there's almost daily releases. I've decided to name each release by the date when it was released. For example, 50109 would have been released on May 1st, 2009. I should also mention it's UC compatible and more info about that can be found here.
This ROM is currently based on the 21728 Windows Mobile 6.5 OS core, along with all the new goodies from the newly announced Topaz and Tachi devices.
It's got the new new Manila interface, new HTC enhanced finger menus, new notifications system, album, FM radio and MP3 trimmer, connection setup etc.
Starting with the 51809 release, the ROM was recreated from scratch. The result is much, much lower RAM usage and general snappiness and speed were vastly improved. Therefore I decided to rename the ROM "Phoenix" as it was 'reborn' just like the mythical bird
If you own a Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utillities (after you flash the ROM) to select the proper keyboard layout to use. The ROM comes with the Fuze layout by default.
What you will find in the downloads directories:
"Standard" includes the new TF3D2 (Rhodium Manila) along with the standard Windows Mobile 6.5 today plugin(Tianium)
"Titanium" only includes the Titanium today plugin. No Manila in this version.
"OldManila" includes the older TF3D Manila (as see on a stock ROM), plus Titanium.
"Plain" is a build without manila or titanium.

This build currently uses the RILPHONE.DLL from the latest ATT 5.11 release, along with all the 5.11 version drivers. I recommend using 1.14.25.05 for a radio, for best performance with this ROM.

Known bugs
The lock screen interferes with the HTC Dialer application. It's best not to use it for now. If you have to, you will have to deal with weird behaviour from the dialer!
If you want to use the microsoft dialer instead, open up Advanced Config under Tweaks (in the Start Menu) and disable the phone skin (first item in the Phone section). Reboot...
Goodies
- If you want to go back to the 3 row Start Menu download the attached cab.
- If you want the original slider as seen here >
- If anybody wants a high resolution wallpaper for Manila for THIS ROM, download the cab below. THis will set your "default wallpaper" as the current background in Manila but.. you'll see it on ALL tabs
Make sure to disable the wallpaper in settings after you install the cab, and let it set the "default wallpaper" to get the full effect.
- If you want to use the great white folders that geok made for this ROM... Download and install the attached cab
JUST A REMINDER: this is a GSM only ROM. ROM for CDMA version found HERE. OR YOU CAN TRY YOUR LUCK HERE. READ BOTTOM OF POST (coming from the chef himself)If you just got your FUZE and this is your first time using a custom ROM you may need to START READING HERE FIRST before you proceed.

For everyone: words of thought from the experts!
"A general rule if you don't see your unique problem mentioned anywhere in this thread, chances are you're the only one with the problem and YOU did something to cause it.
The random hard reset problems have been around for a while. I've never experienced them myself, but I bet it has something to do corrupted blocks in your internal flash chip. I recommend searching the forum for raphdiag.nbh and using it to format your flash storage.. then install the ROM again" NRGZ28
======================================
"Please remember folks that there are a lot of variables here and the ROM is just one of them. You may have any number of the following issues
1) a bad flash
2) an incompatibility issue
3) a settings problem
4) a large RF source in your pants
If several people all determine that they have done XYZ and have problem ABC it may be that NGR can do something about it. Until such time, you have some troubleshooting to do. Namely;
1) Flash the stock ROM and spend a few days noting the behavior as you add your software
2) Flash an NRG ROM and use it a few days without adding software
3) start adding software until the problem occurs." ..BigBadger
MORE BATTERY SAVING TIPS FROM BigBadger
• There is nothing special about this ROM to make it use more power than other ROMs except that it is tweaked for performance over battery life.
• Make sure you follow all of the flashing instructions to the letter. Especially the part about hard reset.
• Backlight is set to high. You might want to change that.
• 3G is on by default. Recommendation is to turn it off when you are not surfing the internet.
• If your radio does not match your rilphone.dll you can get crazy bad battery drainage. Make sure they match. There is a separate thread for that.
• Check to see that some application is not still running in the background. Check, do not assume.
• Check to see if the screen is still on when you expect it to be off. Soft reset can fix that issue.
• Some radios work better with some carriers and locations. Asking everyone to tell you what radio to use may not give you the best answer. Be specific about your situation.
• The battery meter will not settle down and give accurate readings for a few battery cycles.
• For the first few battery charging cycles, try to charge with phone off and then allow battery to get down as low as possible before recharging.
• The GPS sucks the battery dry. If you want to keep track of yourself, consider something like GPSToday that only wakes up the GPS once in a while.

TIPS AND TWEAKS/FAQS FROM PREVIOUS THREAD: HERE
TIPS AND TWEAKS:
1. I too have found myself liking Titanium. I have had good luck with Titanizer by twolf http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501584
2. .......for those who do not like the TD3D2 messaging and want to use the old WM interface Kryzsiec's post might do the trick
3. by:Hemant Nrg, as a habit i install on xboxmod update 1d for tf3d2 for your every rom and i am not seeing any all people crash. Even the facebook tab is working at my end. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=186871&d=1242790496
4. There is a very simple registry change you can do to increase the MMS size. However you will have to search for it as I have no idea which thread it was mentioned in. Maybe somebody else in here does ... HERE OR TRY THIS as posted by deeznuts
5. More folder icons! by geok
6. MORE MMS Limit tweak by: Pumpiron579

Change all the values to 1024000 or 1228800 that way you can send 1mb or 1.2mb files over MMS.
Then Change;

7. Anyone a idea how i get my hotmail account on this rom?
by: anothersmith How about this HOW TO CONFIGURE HOTMAIL ACCOUNT ON YOUR DEVICE and GMAIL ACCOUNT BY: bapski
by: warri Youtube Bug work Around: Okay I Found a Small Work Around. It appears ONLY the HTC Youtube application is bugged. you can install the "Official" Youtube application found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=495327 and it works. (it auto updates when you run it as well) (going to make sure the auto-updated one runs as well)
Youtube bug solved/background change When Changing Wallpaper, Take the jpg that you want your manila background to be, and rename it homebackground.img then drop it into your windows folder overwrite the existing one. Reset Tf3d. DONE. Youtube Still Works. DO NOT use the wallpaper button on the settings tab, or you will not beable to use the HTC Youtube App.
RED Screen When picking Photos If you are having an issue with Red Screen During Choosing Contacts, or Wallpaper pictures please download THIS FILE . Disable TF3D move the htcphotopicker.exe to your windows directory, restard TF3D. Done.
9. by: gjakovic Hi EnergyROM lovers, You know the problem on people tab where for contacts with multiple numbers manila will call only the default one!? Well now it is fixed I ported the code from Topaz and recompiled the embedded LUAs in manila files that caused the problem. Enjoy! Although this is a Manila problem I have decided to post my fix here to contribute to great ROM and bring it closer to perfection.
P.S. Since this is a new port please report back if you find any issues.
Instruction for noobs: Stop the manila: Start->settings->today->tab Items-> uncheck TouchFLO 3D, use Total commander to replace the files in Windows directory with the ones in attachment. If having trouble, edit the propreties of the original file and uncheck the option read only. Enable manila again.
People tab fix by gjakovic.zip
FAQ'S:
1. by:NRGZ28 Seems that Captain Throwback found the problem with the All_People crash! I omitted the httpclient.dll file from my rom and that's what's causing the All People page to crash. Here's a cab for the fix, until I can release a fixed ROM
2. Again hope I dont get flamed but I cannot seem to get picture rotation and thought it was working in 51809
goofeyass: hergs HTC Album 2.5 cab works great, pictures rotate and seem clearer. You can install this cab over this awesome Rom.http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ynjlvtjawvc
3. It's a great ROM, but can anyone tell me how to active the Titanium view?
at10ti0n: start -> settings -> today -> Items tab -> check "windows default", uncheck TouchFLo 3d
4. I downsized my start menu, and now it looks great and is even more user friendly. Now if I can just get File Explorer on the start menu with a better looking icon...
at10ti0n: Another thing you may want to look for it the "re/Start" program. it is floating int the forum somewhere. I cleaned up my menu and it helps to re-prioritize the items in the main window. I only wish I could change the sub/sub folders. HERE
5. I'm absolutely hating new TF3D scrolling currently. The icons when u scroll, are just too low, its too near your thumb. Is there a way, perhaps a manilla file replacement, that can put it back up a lil higher, as it was in the OLD TF3D? Shep was able to do it, but shep doesnt really reply questions : / also if it helps, showaco's all tabs pictures cab, does solve it, making it higher. however, scrolling TF3D with showaco installed in landscaped is screwed, being off centre to the right any solutions?
gjakovic: TRY THIS
6. can you possible make another manila file that is the lower position but clear in all tabs . as in transluscent no matter what tab your on , for the past few builds it seems that its only clear on the home tab for me. THANKS !
gjakovic: TRY THIS
7. Can I return the start menu icons to three in a row? How?And could you return the phone.exe icon in start menu?
NRGZ28: HERE
8. I´m not sure, but I hear the ringtones and the alarm more quiet than older realeases (of course with volume at maximum), anyone notice this too?
bauerpavel: ...full is like superloud a.Audio_Full_Boost.cab b.Audio_Lighter_Boost.cab
9. Is there a cab floating around for a "Fave People" entry on the 6.5 Start screen?
BigBadger: Look here: 6.5 PLUGINS!
10. Its official BB connect doesnt work on WM6.5. Have tried now on several ROMS including this one. Its no go, both 21232/21234 Builds. If anyone has a workaround this please let me know. Or if anyone has got BBConnect to work on WM 6.5 please post
HappyHammer: A quick search would reveal there is an easy solution to this. Either edit the registry as described in this thread or search for Taiseer's cab. I have BBConnect .106 working fine on EnergyROM 52209
11. Is there an issue with SocialNetworking (upload to facebook) from Album? It isn't built into this ROM and I was curious...
kwill: heres a cab to put the album with facebook upload back in and the account manager in settings. i use it and it works fine. i really havent noticed what the album 3.0 does for rhodium manila. i actually dont use tf3d2 enough to notice. HTC Album + SocialNetworksEngine.cab
12. MORE QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY THE CHEF HIMSELF!
13. Can't Sent Text Messages! When composing a new text message the address to: turns to a number 1 after I hit send, and will not send to the person. So instead of either a phone number or John Doe I just have a number 1.
Should be: Looks like:
John Doe 8:30AM 2kb 1 8:30AM 2kb
Hey whats up yo? Hey whats up yo?
Strangely, if John Doe texts me first, I can reply to those messages just fine. Its ONLY new messages that wont work. Also, im not getting a text message can't be sent message, it seems like instead of sending it to 3305551234 its sending it to 1.
Tomik1: Try this registry setting: HKLM\System\Inbox\RecipientAutocomplete\MaxSuggest ions=0
14. I didnt see any answer to this and was wondering if anyone has any solutions. If i am on a call, and someone calls me, i get no notification until it is missed. When missed, It beeps telling me that i missed a call. I noticed this on the last 3 builds (52009. 53109, and 60109). Any clues?
outphase: Fixed! Change registry key /HKCU/ControlPanel/Sounds/CallWaiting/Sound to CallWait.wav

What exactly is the PagePool_Changer.exe used for in the roms folder?
Also in your manilla theme the stocks icon pops up on the slider when it passes over the stocks item, this has been a issue in all the 2.x-3.x roms that have used your custom theme.
The only reason why I am point this out is because it doesnt fit in with the rest of your theme and someone else might perceve it as a "glitch".
Other than that I have not stumbled upon any other problems, its great rom like alwase

NRGZ; Thanks for the continued efforts BRO!
Thanks! Just made my jump to 6.5 and this is fast!
One thing I've noticed is that Internet Explorer doesn't work? Can't connect to any sites. Opera works fine.

|July 4|RAPH| .¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.-|Energy| 21916|29022 - Sense 2019 / 2.1 / Titanium

Welcome to the "EnergyROM" thread !
This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) device.
The current build numbers and date can be seen in the title of this thread. I usually update the ROMs about twice a week, as new builds come down the pipe or as new software/updates are available.
I build my ROMs with four main goals.
Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
Stability through private beta testing before public release
I pre-configure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). Backing up with SPB Backup or similar products, is NOT recommended, as they tend to backup the previous release's registry/file bugs as well!
Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.
The 21916 Build which is the most reliable, fast and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner just like a stock ROM. I recommend you start with this first!
The 29022 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.X series with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys. These builds reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. These are also much more finger friendly throughout.

You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter.
It's definitely the fastest way to get in touch with me and please don't be afraid to tweet me if you see major issues with the ROMs.
I generally do not answer "support" questions on Twitter, as it's really not the proper medium for that. Service packs and quick fixes will always be released as links in my tweets and that's definitely the fastest way to get a fix for a ROM.
To follow me on twitter, click here!
If you own an European\Asian Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utilities > Tweaks (after you flash the ROM) to select the "Pro" keyboard layout. The ROM comes with the american AT&T Fuze layout enabled by default.
This post features all the Cookie Hometab based ROMs I make.
The original ROM is the "energy" version and that's a good starting point. All the rest, are themes applied to that ROM.
They all come in two versions, Cookie 1.8.5 and Cookie 2.0 (the ROM filename will be labeled "Cookie" and "Cookie.2.0, plus the name of the theme)
You can see more screenshots of these ROMs a couple of posts down.
The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
quite a few more features and speed, however it's still in 'beta'. Cookie 1.8.5 is considered the less complicated and stable build for now.
My own 'Energy' style
This is the best ROM version and the way Sense should have been designed by HTC
Offers the biggest customization ability out of all versions. You can add/remove bars or items on the homescreen, arrange items any way you like, plus lots of extra features
Three built in lockscreens. "HD Mini" style, Manila style or Windows style
3 pages of quicklinks with a configurable amount of shortcuts displayed
3 Homescreen layouts to choose from, as seen in the above screenshots, all completely customizable !

Dinik's "Anastasia"
This ROM series is skinned with Dinik's great "Anastasia" theme applied on everything.
Everything has been skinned, including Sense, the start menu items, the soft keyboard, parts of the dialer... etc
_LeCiel_'s ".sencity"
This ROM is themed with the .sencity theme released by _LeCiel_ who is a very talented artist ! Please support his work if possible.
.sencity is not %100 complete yet, but _LeCiel_ is working hard on finishing his work to completely skin the entire ROM.

DJC & Bobsbbq's "Touch Of Glass"
This ROM series is skinned with DJC's "Touch of Glass" theme throughout Sense and the Start Menu
More will be skinned as DJC continues his work on the theme in the future...

ElCondor's "GTX"
This ROM has the white GTX theme applied
Android styled taskbar, matching dialer, matching start menu background and Action screen background
GTX is a total reskin of the operating system, so expect a very different (white) experience

'Standard' ROMs that have no addons installed on the homescreen. Stock Sense 2.5 !
'Energy'
This series retains the stock functionality of the Sense UI. The files have been compressed by "CFC" compression. making the UI lighter and faster
This ROM still retains my theme and style, plus all the regular apps you find in my ROMs.
There are no homescreen addon-ons in this ROM. The best speed and the most stock functionality.
MaxSense UI (android style homescreen)
This is a complete rewrite of the Sense homescreen, by maxycy.
It features a 3 screen, Android style, homescreen with widgets! The widgets can be placed ANYWHERE on the three screens.
75 Quicklink accessible on all tabs
You should really visit the original thread for this mod shown on the next line to see all the features!
Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <.
Titanium (ROMs for raw speed!)
This is a minimal ROM version without Sense in it. It's used primarily for people that like to customize the default 6.5 homescreen (Titanium)
You can use it to install alternate homescreen interfaces like SPB Mobile Shell, etc
Very low memory footprint and good battery life, but very simple and lacks a lot of features that you would otherwise have available in Sense...

ROM features at a glance:
Very fast startup time. You won't find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM and ready to go. No need to spend time to set everything up.
XDA_UC is built in. It will import your custom XML and REG files from your storage card after first boot.
My own Settings Exporter application is found in the Tools folder. Use it to export all your settings after you customize the device. When a new ROM comes down the line, use it to import everything and save time.
Everything is setup to use the phone right after flashing. Sounds, notifications, all options, etc
The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting, but still able to use a nicely skinned Sense text messaging app with "iphone style" messaging bubbles.

Please do not trust your livelihood to something you have not tested, running on a custom ROM, built on top of a beta operating system with a UI ported from another device!
If you depend on it, test it first. After finding a version that works well for you, I recommend keeping a personal backup. That way if you flash a newer version and problems are found, you have something to restore to.
When you download a ROM, it is a compressed file, such as 7Z or ZIP.
If you cannot extract the ROM from the archive, get a recent copy of 7ZIP or WinRar.
Do not post about a bad archive without doing this.
==================================================
WHEN POSTING / IN GENERAL OR A QUESTION OR REQUEST FOR HELP
1. Post which version of the ROM - Sense 2.1, Sense 2.5, Cookie, Max Sense, Titanium, Max Manila, GTX
2. Post which windows version - 21907 or 23569
3. Accurately describe the problem. For visual issues, post screen shots. Shake And Save is included at Start->Tools
4. Wait at least 1 or 2 days, if not more before resposting. I personally read every post in this thread. I do this on my own time.
5. Describe things you have tried.
6. Provide step by step actions to reproduce when possible. Such as: Go to message tab. Press icon in upper right to start new message. Not: Start a new text message. Why? There is more than 1 way to do most things. Not all ways lead to problems. Provide your specific way to reproduce it.
7. Thread title might show a later date than the available ROMs. Here's why - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7137062&postcount=26583 so, don't post about it, unless it is more than 2 days later than the thread title and there aren't already posts about it. BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING
"Please remember that there are a lot of variables here and the ROM is just one of them. You may have any number of the following issues:
1) a bad flash
2) an application incompatibility issue
3) a simple settings problem
4) a large RF source in your pantsIf several people all determine that they have done XYZ and have problem ABC it may be that our chef can do something about it. Until such time, you have some troubleshooting to do. Namely;
1) Check your settings, sometimes, that is all it takes
2) Reset and test again
3) Hard Reset and test again
4) Flash the stock ROM and spend a few days noting the behavior as you add your software
5) Flash an NRG ROM and use it a few days without adding software
6) Start adding software until the problem occurs." ==================================================

BATTERY SAVING TIPS
The first few days
• There is nothing special about this ROM to make it use more power than other ROMs except that it is tweaked for performance over battery life. After things have settled down, you should get a couple of days usage out of a charge.
• Immediately after flashing, you will probably observe very poor battery performance. This is due to the charging circuit having to reset itself.
• The battery meter will not settle down and give accurate readings for a few battery cycles. Give it a few days.
• For the first few battery charging cycles, try to charge to 100% with phone off and then allow battery to drain down quite a bit before recharging. This is so the meter will calculate drain well.
Recommendations
• Make sure you followed all of the flashing instructions to the letter. Especially the part about the hard reset.
• Backlight is set to high. You might want to change that.
• 3G is on by default. Recommendation is to turn it off when you are not surfing the internet.
• Don't drain your batery all the way down until it dies. Not good for these types of batteries.
• The GPS sucks the battery dry. If you want to keep track of yourself, consider something like GPSToday that only wakes up the GPS once in a while.
• Maybe you don't really need aGPS enabled. Disable and check GPS lock times and battery drain.
• Applications that run from the storage card consume more power so install oft-used or background-type applications to main memory.
Troubleshooting
• If your radio does not match your rilphone.dll you can get crazy bad battery drainage. Use the recommended radio or spend some time working out a good combination for your phone/carrier/location/usage.
• Check to see that some application is not still running in the background. Check, do not assume. USe the full Task Manager application.
• Check to see if the screen is still on when you expect it to be off. Soft reset can fix that issue.
• Some radios work better with some carriers and locations. Asking everyone to tell you what radio to use may not give you the best answer. Be specific about your situation.
• More stuff you should see HERE
If you have tried all the above and still can't get over a day with moderate use, you may actually have a bad battery. Try getting a new one that is made by another manufacturer.

Known Issues with current ROM
Remap of PTT and Long PTT don't work. Create a short cut to the apps you want. Name them Long_PTT.lnk and Short_PTT.lnk. Copy them to the windows folder.
Or install and use Tarkim's RaphKeyboardMapper and create a rule for PTT (Long and Short).
23xxx series does not use the HTC Volume Control. This is true with all 23xxx ROMs for the Raphael. 2 solutions. MarcLandis Volume Control located right here on xda-developers.com. Another great solution is VolumeEx, but it is trialware. I think it is only about $10 to register. It gives some really cool features, such as restoring your volume after a specified time. Perfect for meetings, so you don't forget to turn it back up.
Minor Known Issues with current ROM
1. Music shuts off when you play with no headphones and then shut off the
screen with the button on top. Not an issue when playing through wired headphones or A2DP devices. Also, not an issue if you just wait for the screen to shut off.
2. 23xxx series ROMs don't rotate apps through the G-Sensor. There are 3rd party apps to handle this, such as ChangeScreen or Gyrator. (I have nto tried Gyrator).

4. MMS Settings do not set up properly for all carriers. (reported by other users.) Settings for 1 MB send and receive at this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6824722&postcount=25628
Note: AT&T send limit is 600k or 614400. AT&T recieve is 1MB or 1024000.
AT&T and probably T-Mobile do not require changing the settings to send an MMS.
Setting limits higher than what your carrier supports will result in a failed send or receive.

My Twitter:
XDA_UC FAQ
The XDA_UC cooked in my ROMs is modified from the stock XDA_UC made by Noonski. Great addon, by the way... Noonski did a great job with this !
The version in my ROMs is trimmed down to fit the needs of my ROM series.
Some of the extra features are:
It will copy shortcuts (.lnk files) found in \XDA_UC\Start Menu\ to the device's start menu folder (\windows\Start Menu) in the hierarchy that it finds on the storage card. For example: Let's say you have a navigation package on the storage card, like Navigon. If you make a shortcut to the navigon.exe file as Navigon.lnk and copy it to \XDA_UC\Start Menu\GPS\ as "Navigon.lnk" then on a fresh ROM install it will copy any shortcuts it finds there to the same location on the device, so it'll end up in \Windows\Start Menu\GPS\. This works for other folders on the Start Menu as well. Just put the shortcuts in \xda_uc\Start Menu\ in the folders you will like the shortcuts to appear to, on the device.
It will copy a custom splash screen from \Storage Card\XDA_UC\welcomehead.192.png to \windows automatically and overwrite the one in the ROM.
It will copy a custom Sense background found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\wallpaper_sense.png to the device and set that wallpaper as default in Sense. So rename your wallpaper as "wallpaper_sense.png" and drop it in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\ and on the next ROM flash that wallpaper will become your wallpaper in Sense.
Other than that XDA_UC works as designed by Noonski and it will do the following things:
It will automatically import your PPCbackup (*.pib) file found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install custom XDAS scripts found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install CAB files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install special CAB files that require user input (such as Agreements or any type of prompt) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\SD
It will silently import REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\Exporter, as exported by my own Settings Exporter, ONLY if the "automatic" file is also present in that folder (and it most cases it should be, enable that option in the Settings Export application's menu)
It will silently import XML files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently import CER files (usually Exchange certificates) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently run custom MSCR files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
That's it, but don't forget to checkout the Addons folder and look in the XDA_UC section for tips and tutorials on how to export your email/wifi settings and various little .reg and tweaks you can add to your XDA_UC collection.
As always don't forget to check what installs automatically before reporting a problem with the ROM. Most of the time, if you notice you have a problem that nobody else is experience is because one of the cabs you dropped in the XDA_UC folder is installing automatically while you don't even think about it.
Absolutely awesome ROM! Your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated....

T [WWE|GER|FRA|ITA|NLD] |July 4| Energy™-.¸¸.·´¯ 6.5|21916 / 6.5.X|29022 * Sense 2021

Welcome to the "EnergyROM" thread !
This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Diamond2 (Topaz) device.
A 21916 Build which is the most reliable and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner. This build uses the same stock system that came with your device. This is usually the fastest and most stable build, but it's also the least fancy

A 29022 Build that's the latest in Microsoft's development with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys, making it all very "finger friendly". These builds reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. Most people choose this build... Why else would you install a custom ROM ?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter.
The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
quite a few more features and speed.

Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
DJC & Bobsbbq's "Touch Of Glass"
This ROM series is skinned with DJC's "Touch of Glass" theme throughout Sense and the Start Menu
More will be skinned as DJC continues his work on the theme in the future...
Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
ElCondor's "GTX"
This ROM has the white GTX theme applied
Android styled taskbar, matching dialer, matching start menu background and Action screen background
GTX is a total reskin of the operating system, so expect a very different (white) experience
Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
'Standard' ROMs that have no addons installed on the homescreen. Stock Sense 2.5 !
'Energy'
This series retains the stock functionality of the Sense UI. The files have been compressed by "CFC" compression. making the UI lighter and faster
This ROM still retains my theme and style, plus all the regular apps you find in my ROMs.
There are no homescreen addon-ons in this ROM. The best speed and the most stock functionality.
'Reference'
This ROM is mostly for people that want a close to stock ROM with the stock visual style. It's also perfect for doing your own customizations.
A lot of the cooked in apps are removed in this ROM, the Start menu back to the stock 3 row style
Sense and everything else is back to the default HTC green.
ROMs mostly created for enthusiasts...

You find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM.
Sounds, notifications, etc
The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting...

FAQ

Q: Do I need to install Hard SPL before I flash these ROMs?
A: Yes, it's highly recommended, this thread will help you out.
Q: How do I keep WiFi on even in standby?
A: Open "BsB Tweaks" in the "Tools" folder in the start menu. Scroll down to Connections/Wifi Standby and turn it on.
Q: I have problems with "my location".
A: It might help to update your current radio. Use this thread for further info about which radio that suits you.
Q: NRGZ28 have uploaded new ROMs, but I can't see any changelog for it!?
A: Sometimes their isn't such a big update and therefor no changelog will be posted. But you can try to look at the changelog for HD2.
Q: Their are new ROMs that are recently released, but I can't find them on Hotfile...
A: NRGZ28 often spreads the news about new upcoming ROMs when he starts to upload them. And he don't just cook ROMs for Topaz, so have patience and wait for the uploading to finish.
Q: I use GTX themed ROM and the clock stretches zeros, how can I fix this?
A: Install the hotfix called "ECKM GTX clock 0 fix" that's attached to this post. NOTE: This fix is from the original GTX thread where you also can find hotfixes for other bugs in GTX ROMs.
Q: I get wrong username or password error when I try to login on Twitter, even though I've typed in the correct username and password?
A: Try to log off Twitter on any other device/computer.
Q: Time zone prompts multiple times a day, also after a soft reset. What can I do?
A: Just go to the BsB Tweaks application (Start->Tools->BsB Tweaks) and turn the "Auto Sync Clock" off.
Q: How do I configure the action of the softwarebuttons?
A: Go to: Start Menu - Tools - Advanced Config - Click on Menu - More Settings - Key Mapping. You can either select from a list of applications on the drop down menu or browse for an application of your choice.
Q: I've got problems with Bluetooth Carkit Paring. What can I do?
A: This could solve the problem.
Q: MaxSense won't launch, even if it is after a flash/hardreset. Is there any solution?
A: There are not a straight answer for this, but one thing that seems to have helped others is to remove the XDA_UC folder from your storage card.
Q: Where is the "addons directory"?
A: At the moment, it's located here.
Q: My battery is draining... is their any fix for enhancement?
A: Yes and no, because sometimes this "fix" helps and sometimes not. However you can find the trick here.
Q: Do I need to hardreset my phone after I've flashed one of NRGZ28's ROMs?
A: It's recommended, because it will remove any old settings that may cause bugs in the new ROM.
Q: It would be great if I could boost the audio on my phone, is there a way to do this?
A: You could take a look at this.

Cheers will definately give it a try, erm why does your music collection look too similar to my 90s college collection lol!! Some classics there!!
Cheers
Just installed the standerd version from the 18th sep from you.
One (stupid i'm afraid) question: is it possible to turn the three big (manilla 2.5) icons of?, ik like the 2.1 version more.

NRGZ28
Hi! Excellent Rom, but there is one question:
The program soft key manager changes name Left softkey, but does not start the assigned program.
SORRY guys but just trying to point out the obvious,,,,,, NRG split the roms up in two, so dont you think its about time to stop with the wifi bug if you want him to continue development,,,, seriously, if you want it, flash the rom, if not dont,,,,, if you flash the rom youll find out,,, ,,, by now we should asume that the wifi IS messed up.... so why not just report if it isnt,, ,,,
i for one would like the oppotunety to be able to flash Energy roms with manilla 2.5 in the future... not trying to slam anyone or offend anyone, but just pointing out what i got from the last few post by senior members in the "genesis" forum, including NRG...
NRG: Thanx for another superb rom.... keep up the good work pls
amazing rom thank you for your hard work my phone rocks thanks to you

What's wrong about asking for a known bug in previous roms?
Considering that this is a new build and that NRG says on the first page that there are NO bugs, only some from HTM (twitter), I just want to know if has figured out what the problem was and if he has fixed it.
That's it dude....
NRG, thanks for your amazing roms, your patience and dedication!
Ok, more people saying that the wifi bug is still there. I'll post my findings when I finish downloading the file........which is going terribly slow (rs mirror).

Finally finished downloading the rom and it's installed now.
I am connected to my home wifi and I'm trying to see if wifi goes on and off.
A problem (maybe bug) that I see now is that I can't turn off the wifi manually through the com. manager. I see the slider is to the right, so wifi is on, but it's greyed out.....I can't turn it off.
I have to click on settings - wireless lan - menu - wifi - menu - turn off wifi
So this is pretty annoying.......can you guys check it out and see if you can turn wifi off manually in the com. manager??
Thanks, I'll checking the forum....
Cheers!
Thanks for all your hardwork on the EnergyROM's, you shall definatly be receiving a donation when my own personal credit crunch ends.
Love the Twitter integration too, I'll just wait a couple of revisions until it works, but its nice to see HTC embracing the "new" social networking site.

Maybe you have connected your phone with activesync and try to turn off or on a wifi? If yes... unplug phone from your pc.
Ok, I've been testing the rom now for about 40 minutes and so far no wifi bug for me.
I've let the phone on for 10 minutes and it didn't try to connect to my wifi. I've switchted the phone on and off (the screen) and it doesn't connect to wifi automatically. Which was the case in the previous version.
So for me, thusfar no wifi bugs. I'll keep the rom for a whole day and will post tomorrow with an update.
Thanks for the great rom!!
Cheers!
Wow!! another nice new ROM! thanks, NRGZ28, gonna flash this ROM later and report what i found(hopefully i would find nothing as bug).

I know what you're thinking. Does this forum really need another ROM thread? I agree; I don't think it does either. But, here I am, opening one anyway.
So, here's the skinny:
These ROMs are based on builds 23554, 23541, 21898, and 21893, and are customized for the AT&T HTC Fuze and Touch Pro. One series includes Sense 2.5 VGA, and the other includes Sense 2.1 VGA. For those who want lower CPU usage, go with the Sense 2.1 version.
The 218XX version will generally be the most stable, so if that's what you're looking for, that's the one I'd go with .
I use the 4-row Start Menu (thanks to showaco), because I like it .
What's included in my ROMs (common to both versions):

TFDetacher - For 'detaching' the Sense interface and allowing both Titanium (CHome) and Sense to be run simultaneously.
Total Commander - Enhanced file explorer with Registry viewer, etc.
Voice Recorder - HTC's application for recording voice notes.
WorldCard Mobile - Business Card Reader - take a picture of a business card and save the information directly to your Contacts.
HTC EzInput 1.5 - For those that don't like the EzInput 2.1 cooked into the ROM, this cab will install the stock Raphael EzInput with all of the EzInput options working.
Restore aGPS Control Panel Settings - This will restore the AGPS Settings applet to the 'System' Settings, for easily enabling/disabling of aGPS.
FInix Percentage Battery Icon (White) - For those that don't like the new top bar in the ROMs, they can uninstall it and install this CAB to get back my original percentage battery icons.
.NET Compact Framework 3.7 - For people having issues installing certain programs that throw a .NET Framework error message.
Fixes/Tweaks:
ATT Phone Canvas Fix - For 15-JAN-2010 23518 Sense 2.1 Fuze Build only - removes scrollbar from in-call screen.
Disable XT9 - For people that want to permanently disable XT9 (this may cause issues with the hardware keyboard). XT9 can also be toggled using the hardware keyboard (FN+SPACE on TP, FN+Right Arrow on Fuze)
Facebook Online Album Fix - For the Sense 2.5 ROMs, this fixes the picture preview for the Facebook Online Albums.
Set EzInput as Default IM - For pre 14-JAN-2010 builds, where new MS SIP was set as default. Will set HTC EzInput as default keyboard.
Disable Push Internet - For Sense 2.1 builds, this cab will completely disable Push Internet. This may help to reduce excessive battery drain.
Raphael 6.5 Bluetooth Driver - This 'fix' will allow Bluetooth AVRCP to work for players OTHER than Windows Media & HTC Music Player. However, it will prevent AVRCP from working with the HTC Music Player at all (AVRCP will still work with Windows Media Player).
Sense 2.5 ONLY - Remove Background for all Tabs Mod - This is for people that prefer the default Manila behavior of the custom background appearing on only the Home tab, with the other tabs displaying the default background.
If there are other stock ROM applications that you are interested in having add-on CABs for, please let me know, and I will consider adding them to this list
Change Log
April 1, 2010
Builds updated to 23554 from 23541 (COM5) and 21898 from 21893 (COM2)
My Phone updated to 1.6 version
Windows Live from 21898 build added to 23554 (10.7) - this can be upgraded on Marketplace to add Messenger
PagePool upped to 20MB (This seems to make Sense run more smoothly)
Titanium Weather/myLocation updated for Accuweather fix from Sleuth255
Opera 9.7 updated to build 35964 (thanks to indagroove @ MobileUnderground)
amarullz PeopleMessageClassic mod removed in favor of Manila Messaging built into Sense (thanks to TMartin03 for the package)
AMeBa updated to 0.8RC (with lower CPU usage) - see thread for details/additional features
Advanced Network package updated from HD Mini to match 6.5.x theme (swipe to change tabs)
Documents tab removed from Sense (memory hog, & not ported) - a CAB install for this is available
KNOWN ISSUES:
Windows Live gets stuck when trying to connect to sign in. Workaround: sign in to My Phone or Marketplace first. After a soft reset, your Windows Live ID details should already be entered into Live, and it should then sign in normally (it may take up to 30 seconds after pressing "Next" for the next screen to show up, so even if the device seems to freeze, don't panic - be patient)
Lockscreen shows Calendar icon even when there is no Active Appointment - This is a CPR change I haven't had time to make yet. See here for the fix.
Manila Locker/Background for All tabs not included - Both installable by CAB (I didn't include the Locker is because I've found it to be buggy, as it was not really designed for this version of Sense - though it does work without many graphical glitches).
Facebook tab not included (installable via CAB) - use THIS Tab Control file to correctly enable the tab

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What rilphone do you use in your ROMs?
A: I use the rilphone.dll from the 5.11.502.2 AT&T ROM (Radio 1.14.25.35). That is also the radio I recommend to use with this ROM for best results.
Q: How do I stop tab vibration in Manila?
A:
Captain_Throwback said:
you can disable it with this registry key:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings]
"ApVibrationOn"=dword:0 ;1=on, 0=off
Click to collapse
Q: I'm using your Sense 2.1 ROM. Why doesn't my Album have uploading options?
A: The Social Networking Album is only included with the Sense 2.5 ROM. That version of Album causes conflicts with the Facebook options in the Sense 2.1 version of Manila.
Q: Does Sense 2.1/2.5 have landscape support?
A: Sense 2.1 has landscape in all tabs. Sense 2.5 has landscape views in 3 tabs: Messages, Photo, & Music. These actually do not work when the keyboard is opened, as they do in Sense 2.1.
Q: Is there a Programs tab in these versions of Manila/Sense?
A: The Sense 2.5 does not have a Programs tab; instead, there are quicklinks underneath the Clock on the Home tab. Sense 2.1 does have a Programs tab, but it is hidden by default. To enable it, follow these instructions:
Captain_Throwback said:
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"Manila://programs.page.hidden"=dword:0 ;1=hidden, 0=shown
Alternatively, you can install this: Show Programs Tab.cab which will do the exact same thing.

Q: What are the differences between Sense 2.1 & Sense 2.5?
A: See below post
Tab by Tab comparison of Sense 2.1 & Sense 2.5
The main difference, of course, between Sense 2.1 & Sense 2.5 is that 2.1 supports Landscape, while 2.5 does not (and yes, I am aware that rotatstrain has created a landscape for 2.5, but that is NOT as designed by HTC).
NOTE: Starting with the 2011 build, Sense 2.5 now supports Landscape!!
Home tab:
Sense 2.1 - Home tab includes World Clock w/Weather under time & Animated Weather wallpaper. Quick links to Call History & Calendar under time. Scrolling up will reveal several calendar entries.
Sense 2.5 - Home tab includes World Clock w/Weather under time & several choices of Animated wallpaper, including Weather. Quick link to Calendar under time, one Calendar entry shows. Scrolling up reveals 6 Quick Link shortcuts that can be customized to add a Program shortcut, Contact shortcut, or Bookmark.
People tab:
Sense 2.1 - People tab is the same as previous versions of Manila. Features 3D shortcut to Contact card for Favorites, selectable using bladelist along side of tab. Contact numbers are listed underneath selected Contact picture, and can be dialed with a single press.
Sense 2.5 - People tab features a grid view which shows 6 contact shortcuts at a time (scrolling up reveals additional shortcuts). Each shortcut uses Contact Picture for identification, and can be customized to View Contact Card, call a selected number, send a text or email (an icon in the bottom right of the picture will indicate the selected default action). The shortcut is actually 2 buttons - the picture acts as a direct shortcut to the default action as selected previously, and the bottom portion (which displays the contact name) opens the Contact card for that person. If there is an unread notification from that person, it will show up as a green icon on the bottom right of the button.
Messages tab:
Visually, this tab is identical in the two versions. However, when pressing the tab, in 2.1 it opens the Manila SMS interface, while in 2.5, it will open the Messaging Client interface (in the Manila SMS tab).
Mail tab:
This tab is also very similar in both versions. Both feature a bladelist on the right that shows the unread e-mail count of any Mail accounts. The main difference is the size of the e-mail preview. In Sense 2.1, the old preview, with a 3D envelope with mail emerging from it, is used. In Sense 2.5, there is a flat, full screen preview that allows more viewable area, and an easier to read preview.
Internet tab:
Sense 2.1 - Uses Opera 9.5, and includes shortcuts to add "Push Internet" links. These can be added from existing bookmarks, or can be input manually. The user can select a frequency for the pages to be downloaded, so that there is zero wait time when opening the shortcut.
Sense 2.5 - Uses Opera 9.7, and includes "Visual Bookmarks". These can be added from existing bookmarks, or can be input manually. A visual representation of the bookmarked page is shown on the shortcut.
Calendar tab:
Sense 2.1 - Shows Month view as default. A triangular block appears in the corner of a day where an appointment is scheduled. Pressing a day will open day view, listing all appointments for the day. The Calendar will also show the current weather for your Location, or another location specified in the world clock. Pressing on an appointment will open the appointment in the standard MS Calendar app.
Sense 2.5 - Shows Month view as default. A triangular block appears in the corner of a day where an appointment is scheduled. Pressing a day will open day view, listing all appointments for the day. The Calendar will also show the current weather for your Location, or another location specified in the world clock. There is also an option for "Agenda" view, which shows all of your current meetings/appointments for several days, and a "Year" view, whcih allows you to see the entire year right on the Manila page. There's also Week view which displays any appointments for the week, and shows all available time slots in each day. Pressing on a specific appointment in either Agenda or Day view will open an enhanced Appointment Editor which allows you to contact the meeting organizer or recipients, and review other meeting information. This feature also requires the HTC Messaging Client.
Stocks tab:
I don't personally use this tab, so I'm not entirely sure, but this appears to be just about identical in both versions.
Photos & Videos tab:
At first glance, the tabs look the same. There's a stack of pictures, and the user can flick up and down to go through them. Pressing one opens Album. The difference is that when rotating the device to Landscape. for Sense 2.1, you basically get the same interface. In 2.5, however, there's an animation, and you get a full-screen interface that allows you to scroll through the pictures. Pressing on a picture will animate it until it is fullscreen.
Music tab:
Sense 2.1 - Shows 3D Album art, "Shuffle" and "Repeat" indicators, scroll up & down buttons & play button on right side of interface. Rotating keeps these same elements, just moving their location.
Sense 2.5 - Shows Album art, Play/Pause button, forward, backward buttons underneath Album art. "Shuffle" & "Repeat" indicators at top right are pressable, and in top left there is the option to download Album art using Gracenote. When rotating the device, you get a fullscreen, enhanced interface that allows you to scroll through albums quickly. Pressing an album will bring up a list of all songs from that Album on the left side of the screen, and this list is scrollable. Pressing a song on this list will play the song, with a speaker next to the title indicating the selected song is playing.
Weather tab:
This tab is very close to identical in both versions. Both feature "My Location", which uses Google Location Service to pinpoint your location using cell-phone-tower triangulation. This information links back to the World Clock in showing the Weather at your current location. The only discernable difference between 2.1 & 2.5 that I saw is that 2.5 features fullscreen Weather animations on this tab based on current conditions (not just on the Home tab).
Other tabs:
Sense 2.5 also features 2 tabs that Sense 2.1 doesn't: Twitter, and Footprints. "HTC Peep", a.k.a. the Manila Twitter tab, shows all your current Tweets, and notifies you when you get any new ones. The Footprints tab allows you to take photos and save them with specific GPS information so that you can 'Show them on Map' (requires Google Maps), or navigate to them using GPS Software (the Leo comes with NaviPanel software & CoPilot GPS Navigator). This tab has limited functionality on our devices, since it is dependent on the Leo hardware.
Settings tab:
This tab is probably the biggest difference between the interfaces.
Sense 2.1 - Offers options to:
Sync data
Open Comm Manager
Change Wallpaper
set sounds & notifications
customize tab order
open Contact Card
toggle Location Service
Enable Auto-rotation.
Sense 2.5 - Using HTC's "Settings Improvement" package, this tab integrates directly into the system, bypassing almost all MS versions of Settings. There are options to:
"Personalize" (Set wallpaper, customize tabs)
Wireless Controls (Comm Manager)
Sound & Display (includes changing notifications, Backlight, & calibrating G-sensor)
Data Services (includes Activesync, Stocks, Weather update frequency, Internet Time sync, Social Networks, & E-mail)
Security (Encryption, Phone lock & reset)
Application (Manage Applications, i.e. Remove Programs)
SD card & Phone storage (shows Storage capacities/options in enhanced interface)
Date & Time (set date, time, time zone & format)
Locale & text (Set Language, region & text input options - shows enhanced interface for regional settings, & text input settings require EzInput 2.1)
Updates & feedback (feedback/error report)
Other (miscellaneous settings - this lists settings not linked to any of the previous ones)
About phone (view battery status & device info - enhanced interfaces).
In 2.1, pressing the "All Settings" (left softkey) will open the MS Settings; in 2.5, pressing "Menu" gives you the open the option to open "All Settings".

It's uploading now - but it's customized for the AT&T Fuze, so you'll need to adjust the registry for the Touch Pro keyboard (ProFuze will do the trick), or the many keyboard tweak CABs floating around here. Connection Setup should take care of the network settings .
wooohooo maaaaan u r the best .... keyboard aint an issue...aint a n00b anymore mate
i'll wait for the link...i'll try to take it easy on the F5 key lool
hi capt,
it feels wierd to say welcome to xda, but i will anyway. is this rom any different from the one posted on ed/tp? if not, this rom is amazing! the only bugs i found were the first boot error w/ progmatix interceptor and a few redrawing issuesllll
manila 2.1 sense is amazing, i've flashed the 21885 but i'll say what i think of it so far based on that i'm a TP user not fuze
- it'd be great if u post a cab for the latest amarullz Rhodium Phone Canvas or his latest qilin with video call working
- icons for the accesories, multimedia...etc folders
- settings icon in the start menu takes me to the manila settings page instead of windows settings which i dont like, coz if i click on settings in windows menu then i want the windows settings folder
...thats about if for now, i'll keep on testin & tell u wt else i find
i c my self sticking with ur rom if i can make another version "or with cabs" to fit TP as much as it fits FUZE
great work mate...thx
apps i think will be handy for most users
*REMOVED*
EDIT: sry abt that just read the More Information section
i cant find anything in album about social network or uploader...shouldnt it be included or did i miss understand !!!
cheers
Does the 2.1 Sense have Landscape support?
Pagepool Size...
Posted this question on the ED/TP thread as well, but I guess this one will probably become the more active of the two threads. Looks like the pagepool is set to 6 megs on each of the 3 builds. Seems a little on the low side these days, though I must admit that I have yet to really test out the performance. I thought the raph's sweet spot was around 16 to 20 megs. Just curious if the chef has intentionally set it to 6 megs for optimal performance?

I think for the next go-round I'll make a TP ROM as well, that doesn't include the AT&T Customizations, comes with the keyboard pre-mapped to the TP layout, uses Opera w/o the AT&T Proxy Settings, and includes amarullz's Rhodium Dialer w/Video Call.
As far as the Settings icon, the one in the Start Menu is actually a shortcut. You can delete it, and change this registry key to get the regular one back:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo]
"HideSettings"=dword:0

The Album in the Sense 2.5 ROM is the one that includes Social Networking Support. It's doesn't integrate so well with 2.1 (the Facebook Engine conflicts with the one for Manila)

I usually set my PagePool to 16MB. I've been rebuilding my kitchen & must've just forgot to change it. I'll do that for the next (set of) ROMs.

Battery drain *may* get better, but that may also depend on the radio you're using. I'm using the one that comes with the 5.11.502.2 AT&T ROM (Radio 1.14.25.35). Changing the radio might make a difference (but make sure you give it a few days to settle in).
I neglected to include the "Touch Options" applet in Settings that allows you to easily disable tab vibration (but I think it may also disable other vibration as well). Maybe I'll include it in the next one. In the meantime, you can disable it with this registry key:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings]
"ApVibrationOn"=dword:0 ;1=on, 0=off
EDIT: OR, install the cab posted above (thanks for the help, paulyluca)
I will (eventually) update the posts on the first page with this "important" information. It's my first ROM thread, so I'm still getting a feel for it .
