Compact Flash GPS Receivier for XDA2i

HI all,
i was wondering if Compact Flash card is supported with XDA2i, i found a site which says foldable GPS receiver for XDA2i for $109.95. But i want to confirm before i buy it. Please let me know
http://www.tangshop.com/xda-02-accessories.html (look at bottom for the item -foldable receiver )
Thanks
Srujan
None of XDA/XDA2/XDA2s/XDA2i/Compact devices have CompactFlash slot. You may connect CF device ONLY via optional RS232 cable (if this is supported by CF GPS receiver).
So information on the site is wrong.
You may choose any of BlueTooth or SD or even RS 232 only GPS receiver, but I suggest you to think on BlueTooth one.
- BT device occupies no SD slot which you will use for memory card to store maps
- it may be placed anywhere in the range of 10m from PDA
- some of the modern BT GPS may work up to 20 hours with built in battery.
And RS-232 GPS is a good solution for car as you may create one cable for connectiong PDA to GPS & power adapter (and even car handsfree)

Cant connect to carradio

My herald cant connect to my Sony MEX BT-2500. I have paired this radio with a couple of other devices so I know how this works.
My herald can find my radio when I when I search for BT-machines but he cannot connect. Anybody a suggestion ? (i am on a stock-htc-WM6-rom)
did you set your phone to visible to other devices and then pair it?
Yeah, That's stupid about the herald. After you've paired and connected with a device and than switch off Bluetooth, the next you wont be able to see your Herald because you need to turn the visebility on.

[Q] HTC HERO GSM: Bluetooth transfers on 2.2 ROMS

Hi all,
I haven't manage to send any files to my device from my PC. In fact even I've found problems pairing... (depends on which ROM..).
I have tried on CM-6.1-RC1 and Cronosdroid 1.5.1... bluetooth doesn't seem to wprk fine on both. Have you ever seen these problems on Froyo devel roms?¿?¿
Many Thanks,
Perdita2000
Use Bluetooth OBEX File Transfer App in your Pc & In Mobile use Bluetooth File Transfer Apps & everything good to go !
Although this alternative probably does work and the OP may appreciate it, I think it would be better to resolve issues with what should be a native and working function already, rather than find workarounds.
In CM6.1 RC1 build 165 bluetooth transfers are working fine....

[Q] Bluetooth not working

anyone having trouble connecting to other mobiles with bluetooth, tried to connect to all kindss of different mobiles and a laptop. Only connects to the laptop and wont transfer files. all mobiles say not supported when connecting. Any help is welcome cheers.
i've found this, it seems that the Bluetooth on the Mozard is limited to hands free sets only.
but i dont mind that, always thought bluetooth phone to phone was a bit gimmicky
hi, i also got a same problem with you...anyone can give a solution please....
hello,
i have problem to connect to BH M300 BT Headset from HTC... The Phone cant find the Headset. Whats the problem ? I have ROM 7389 ... Unbranded T Mobile

Bluetooth Connection to Win7.. possible fix..

Well.. had a friend that was determined to use BT for connecting to his computer.. I decided to see if I could get something working (as PC companion doesn't support BT for Xperia phones)
I finally managed to get sync working under Win7 by downloading a (less than legal..) copy of Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (this seems to work on most brand computers)
and then using "my phone explorer" (client app from market) and windows app downloaded from their site.. I am now able to share files, modify phone book, view phone status, send SMS etc from the laptop via BT.. (or Wifi.. or USB)
Apparently BlueSoleil also works instead of Toshiba bluetooth Stack..I havn't tried it myself.
The process was a little funky but It worked in the end and I can connect quite easy now.
Now why the hell can't Sony Erricson just fix BT on their Android devices! its really a step backwards in reguard to conectivity. Android really sucks with BT. but you would think SE could come up with a solution... what do they pay their developers for anyway? gimmie good BT implimentation over Timescape any day!
(its hard to tell friends who have just forked out hundreds on a phone I recomended that they can't use Bluetooth anymore, like they have been doing for years with their Nokia's and old pre android Sonyericssons)
My Rant.. hope it might help someone else in any case.
