Hi I have recently purchased a Dell Axim X51v July 09
It has a Rom version of A06 and WM6.1
What I would like to know is are these versions the latest as I have seen Rom version A12 and
A17 I would also like to know if the Rom versions and the WM could be updated and added separately.
And finally can anyone give me links to any updated versions + can you explain about Shell on the unit
I would prefer less technical info, as I am new to PDAs

I've I-mate with 1.77wwe software i upgraded it to 2.06 and every things is alright and i bring the arabic support for the device from another topic and every things is ok too
i've bring the dell AXim X30 andthis device without phone but it doesn't support the arabic languege i think that the same software is compatable with all pocket pc device but it doesn't work with dell
i install the new version of the software it's called imaginet arabizer version 1.3 it's run very well but it is a shareware and run only 3 days
can i backup the dell rom and install the wm2003 se on it and install the first software and if that right how can i do that
or can any body help me what can i do with the original wm2003 that installed on the dell
or any body have the full version of the arabizer 1.3

up to my info, if you are using the IMAGINET arabization then it won't work except on I-mate after checking the IMEI of the device
here we go again, looking for the latest version of wm6.1 for atom exec... why cant someone just sticky their latest version of their release...
ive loved aku releases, what is the latest release there? has it gone to 6.1?
if not then ive noticed there are others, what the latest?

On the EU site HTC have made available 2 versions for a Rom Upgrade.
My version is 1.31.405.09 dated 10/31/07 radio version 1.58.16.27 protocol version 25.61.30.03H (UK user)
Any suggestions if the new versions are more recent, since HTC's site only suggest to check the current Rom installed on the phone, however they do not advice to which version the upgrade is and what actual upgrades will be effected to the phone.
Also any ideas which upgrade should be chosen from the 2 available? and why such upgrades are not available from UK site?
PS.I'm not familiar with loading stuff other than a simple download and basic rom upgrade.

NO official version as the Hermes is now no longer in production.
You may find in the cooked roms but if its something for Oz only then check out CRC's as he is the only Ozzie chef I know who may still be in the kitchen (though I haven't seen any updates recently)...

I am a user of HD2 since Jan last year.I am frequently facing issues on the Phone's performance due to the SMS UI and also by the Ohone hanging up abruptly and have to reboot 2-3 times to get it functional.
I had bought this phone in India from a grey market vendor which has T-Mobile's bootup Logo coming up.This is a phone which has been imported from UK and I had upgraded the earlier WinMo 6 to WinMo 6.5 using the ROM upgrade posted on the HTC UKs website.Currently I am running the WinMo 6.5 with the following :
OS Version : 5.2.21889(21889.5.0.87)
Manila Version : 2.5.20121429.0
ROM Version : 1.72..110.4 (86525) WWE
ROM Date :04/02/2010
Radio Version : 2.07.51.22_2
I need help in understanding which ROM version should i use to flash this and bring it to the latest software platform so that I can do justice to the investment on this phone.I have tried searching but since I am not very well versed with the flashing and understanding what to check before flashing any ROM i seek help from the senior members.

The easiest way would be to flash your device with the latest stock rom. You have to go to htc website, select your device origin country, and search for ROM. The latest version of stock rom is 3.14 (yours is 1.72)
If you want to play with custom rom, you have to understand thoroughly about flashing. Check this very useful link:

I agree with the above post you would probably be better pleased with a custom ROM. But if you still want to flash a stock ROM and the HTC site will not let you download a 3.14 ROM for some reason then Flash HSPL 3.03 using HSPL 4 and go to this thread and you can download the 3.14 ROM you need from there. Click on my guide in my sig to learn how to install HSPL.
