hi frnz i've purchased a XPERIA NEO V yesterday actually it is my first SE phone so i would like to know few details about SE phones
1.are the bootloaders locked like HTC phones ?(prev phone HTC Wildfire)
found answer : YES
2.Do SE phones get bricked ,if YES is there any way to unbrick ? (i've never heard a HTC phone bricking)

3.are there any development teams/websites for SE to root/unlock a SE device ?(for htc UNREVOKED.com = rooting , ALPHAREV/REVOLUTIONARY = security-off)

I feel this this phone has good battery (almost 2days full use) , camera is decent too

No way......!!!
But it depends what you mean "full use"
For me its 3G all day, music full power and browsing, surfing, etc
And 10h is best what i can with 1500mh battery.

Nowhere... Lenovo isn't good period. Just kidding. I didn't knwo lenovo made phones... I suggest you wait for the Nexus 5 it'll be worth your while based on whats online.
Hey bro! im a previous owner of a lenovo mobile phone and it worked perfectly fine for what it did, 2 sims, big battery & now this new model has even better specs !
The nexus will be too expensive & not offer the same amount of battery life with dual sims !
I made this post to find out a reliable shop not decide which phone lol : )

Hi all, not sure where to ask this question, and is it really a good forum to ask something like this, but I found XDE users, users that know this stuff best.
So, was looking out for Cubot P99, iNew v3, ThL 1000S Iron Man and many others in that price range.
As I'm in a need of a good dualSIM smartphone, and not really knowing anything about Chinese smartphones, I came here to ask what would you guys suggest me to buy and what not to buy.

What about the Xiaomi MI-3??
Dual-SIM? Mi3 is single sim but MI3 IS THE BEST SMARTPHONE That is cheap and good!!!
If you want a dual-sim you can try MI2S That have a great processor , 2 gb ram , etc...
but mi3 is better..

i agree, the oppo find 7 is quite impressive and completely worth it if you are willing to spend a little more.
huawei wise, the ascend p2 is pretty good for a lower price
I have just ordered a phone for my wife - KINGELON N9800 5.7" IPS MTK6592 8-Core Android 4.2.2 Phone 13MP CAM 2GB RAM 16GB ROM. After reading about malware and other stuff on some of these phones I would like to ask if there is a way to root the phone and replace the rom, assuming of course if I was able to do that it would ensure no dodgy apps or hidden software was left on it.
I am a beginner in this field, last ROM I replaced was an HTC Hermes
Any help appreciated.
