Does other form exist of trying to install the ROM? When I try, it is presenting the mistake 260.

I want to upgrade my htc s310 (oxygen I believe) to WM6.

Is it possible to put WM6 on this divice when the rom is ment for an other device?

There is currently no WM6 ROM for the HTC oxygen since the specs of the phone are too low for the current requirements (at least 240 x 320 resolution).
However, there isnt a free unlocking service yet, but http://www.imei-check.co.uk/ can unlock the phone for 20 pounds / 30 euros.
I also believe using this service can also get your phone CID unlocked so that u can upgrade the ROM without any hastle.

I have a T-mobile AMEO with WM5.0 rom,I like upgrade to HTC VM6 Rom.That was stupid when I tried the HTC VM6 Rom flash without CID unlock.
My Ameo can not accept the HTC VM6 ROM ( only 0%$ or 1% of Upgrading),reported error massage"Vender ID" it over and is stuck in Bootloader with 3 color of the screen . Hard reset does not start the normal "installation"
I have tried intalling 3 Ship romWM5.0:
ruu_athena_dopodasia_1.24.707.3_105_6275_1.32.00.10_108_ship.exe
RUU_Athena_TMO_DE_1.12.111.6_1.32.00.00_Ship
RUU_Athena_HTC_WWE_1.25.405.2_1.38.00.00_Ship.exe
But my Ameo still die,Now I understand my Ameo is not unlocked/superCid, I am very sad of my stupiding, I very need yourhelps to unlocking CID or other ways for my AMEO.

Same thing happend with me. No WM ROM available for my CID so I had to send it back. Damn I regret I did not unlock before ROM-flash'ing !
Maybe your telephone supplier can provide you with the original ROM installer ? Mine did not

I think you can unlock from the bootloader! No need to send it back!

I have a HTC with japanese language. and I wnat to upload a wwe rom.because the rom is japanese. I downloaded upgrading rom RUU_Hermes_QTEK_WWE_2.11.255.1_102_6275_1.38.00.10 _108_Ship.exe
but can not upload it, allways geting error [294], pls I need urgent to converet this device into wwe rom. any help just urgent need.

I played with it but now in bootloader mode SPL shows 1.11
I can not do hard-SPL too at all
You needed to do some reading about the softbank, these are a major problem to unlock and upgrade depending on what version you have. In all likelyhood you have bricked your Hermes.
Do some research to see but most people don't like to give advice on the softbanks as no one likes to be responsible for the death of another persons Hermes....
I already read all the forum but could not find any solution, many document and post read about softbank, but never could upload WWE rom

I made use of the below link in a process to upgrade to WM 6.

I had succeeded in Hard SPL (now showing SPL as 2.21.olip)and tested whether it is CID LOCKED OR NOT.
It is still CID locked. Because when I tried Rom upgrade from WM 6 Crossbow version it is showing CID error.
In the above link, G4 safe ROMs are mentioned and I don't what versions are they and where to download. All what I have is crossbow , ppc versions and neither are working.
KINDLY, CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT TO BE DONE AFTER THE PROCEDURE IN THE ABOVE LINK. PLEASE HELP ME......
I badly need to change the cid of my 3G flyer...any solution?? btw the conventional method discussed in sensation forum does not work for flyer (fastbood oem writecid xxxx)...thx in advance...
there is no way to do that, use a goldcard.
