- there is an error about a missig file (\WINDOWS\GoogleMaps-ms-htc_compressed.cab) ;
- I have no title bar on the top of the screen ;
- Because of the missing cab error, i can't enter my PIN, and can't use the phone...
- the phone never really finishes its first configuration. When i reboot the phone, it asks again to align the screen, the clock, etc.
Any way to correct the issue? I can't access the windows folder, so i can't drop inside it a cab with the expected name...

For me also freeze.. and now when i try to update the rom, it says "connection error".. any idea?

While your phone is of, hold Volume down, and press power key.
It will enter bootloader, and then you can connect the phone to you pc, and flash again with another rom.
I hope this is what you asked.......

Now that one I cannot fix... It never happened to me and I tested it more than once...
If this one isn't working for you, try getting:
Option 1 - dancer_69's first release, which is also based on CE OS 23016 WWE 0409 with HTC Mega Packages;
Option 2 - my other release, which is based on Iolite's OEM packages and is reported to be working great...
It works for me.. but, I have a problem with displaying pictures. When picture is showing on full screen, after 1-2 sec the screen is black. Any idea?
And another, it takes 47% memory. Its not too much?

Try checking your backlight settings and screensaver settings under the Album options...

Im pretty new in HTC, so i dont know what is running, i just upgrade the ROM and see that memory is 47% useage..

Try installing FDCSoft Taskmanager from my application list and check what processes are running that are eating up your RAM...

32mb program memory sounds awsome , but i cant say it looks awsome. I mean the theme is redish, the call manager is redish, med. player, cal. and com.manager is bluish. I dont think they match well... I wish call manager was also bluish so a blue theme would be the fix to my personal visual problem

1d original has the best looking, and best speed. Why not just replace the OS, but keep everything the same?

Everything was perfect, except soft reset
I have cooked this ROM and tried it for the last 4 days. Everything was perfect, except soft reset. After a few soft resets (I have tried the hardware soft reset button and "reboot" link from the start menu shortcut on different hard resets) the PDA locks itself, can not reboot and the only solution is a hard reset.
I would use this ROM if this problem was fixed.

Is there a way to test a flashed ROM (if the flash was successful or not) ? I will test the new flash for the other few days and I would be glad if there is a test to check my cook. I got the message on the PC screen that the cook was successful.

Actually, this is no software yet to check for such away.
if you don't need the internet sharing, why did you try the 1d SpeedKing?
more stable and program ram saving
I love this Rom but am having many problems with it when starting up it will hang the only solution is the remove my SD card restart and delete the shutcuts/ .ink files in the Start menu thats the only solution but its not nice I cant use shutcuts to access my favorite programs faster I think its a SD card issue but no other Rom give me this kind of problem plz sugest a solution Thanks

My pda also gets hang when starting up it gets stuck on the Qtek screen and when I remove my sdcARD and put it back in the startmenu wont open up even using quickmenue same problem not responding plz fix it by making a updated version thanks alot

qvga for wvga device is not adviced, what happens when you install it?
i tapped the wrong butten...it is WVGA of course
it worked in every Rom of you.
when i am trying to install it but after the installation (which coast needs more time) there stand:
"Installation of FingerKeyb-2.1-WVGA.cab was unsuccessful"
BUt this keyboard is nessessery for me

It seems Calculator needs to install microsoft NET CF3.5.
ok... will try this clean ROM. exactly how much ROM used for a clean room? because for acer Original ROM it takes about 88MB for first cleanboot.
very fast and clean rom. there are 90+M RAM when running with spb+MSkip ProPlus Windows Phone 7 theme, very stable.
one problem is it can't run CSMI, G-alarm, tower-defense, parking assistant, etc apps in this rom after install them.
error message is " the file "filename" cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot found. ......
I try to install the sdkcerts.cab, but still has the same problem.

Hi Arto, i am trying to add SDKCert in ExtROM for my German Clean ROM - I renamed SDKCert.cab in Agenda.CAB, but the CABInstall quits with an error.
Without SDKCert in ExtROM everything is fine. Do you have a clou?

you are right. it 's not easy to add htc dialup panel into pure WM rom. I will try to search 3rd party dialup app with slide button support.

-in Alarms: selected days are not visible(the opposite:unselected are visible?!);
-pushing hardware volume keys makes appear the volume control window with a "blurry cloud" on top of it;
-using camera stops built-in audio player(is that correct?);

Try changing themes to change the font sizes... search for 'livven gloss'
I installed setvol 0.8 - it didn't work, but seemed to fix the volume control, even after I uninstalled it again! There must be a registry key to use a skin for the volume control or something.
This does not look bad as the ROM on which I worked for about 3 weeks. Can you, did not once look at my BETA.

The cabs solved ugly icon using hardware buttons for volume.If does not work try to install sdkcert. On my phone it works immediately.
what build is it?

Anyway, Well done so far. Loving the ROM
One more thing, my Opera does not seem to work, is it just y problem or does anyone share the same?
How could I resolve this?

Maybe Facebook Tab (Developement is still atm), no eReader - or Document Tab to slow on our Device.
For your Prob with Opera, didn't you read the README, provided in Downloadpackage Look inside "_Install" Folder, there is a Cab for Opera - Localisation. After installing this Opera will work fine.

Okay thanks I thought those were for SD card flashes.
Maybe Install Opera Mobile 10 in the next version release
For me this ROM is not working as expected;
Various problems encountered, some listed are;
No screen timeout - backlight stays on.
The Hardware windows key does not function.
and some screen shadowing when using the START button (top left).

As you can read and see in first Post, MS Startmenu is disabled to get 30 MB more free Ram. When you tab on the Startbutton, XTask Startmenu replacement will popup, like in your Screenshot. To reach Systemsettings tab on "Control" in this popup, to change XTask Settings tab on the white Arrow.

I apologies for posting about the screen shadowing (i was tired and was not thinking correctly at the time).
Disregarding that matter - what about the other issues I found? No screen time-out and the Windows key (hardware button not functioning correctly). is anyone else having/reporting these issues?
Your ROM has been flashed several times but the issues are still there.

Hey Marc,
The Windows Key is programmed to trigger the start button on the stock ROM.
As the start button is not enabled, it does not lead to anywhere.
Maybe in the next release it could be programmed to a page... For now,
you can download a mod that lets you customize that.
To confirm with you, I have screen timeout, it's set in the "setting -> Sound & Display -> Backlight" (Setting this worked for me)

You could consider skinning the TouchFlo player and the bottom scroll bar with the metro theme as well like in the image attached. It looks pretty clean and matching

Yes Hardwarekey don't work, i don't used it, so didn't noticed the prob
For the Backlight i have no idea, maybe a third party app cause the problem.

First I want to thank JacobN for his rom builder and for the files to make the build 21916. Also to all the chefs on Modaco which helped me to learn about rom building. And to bobhero for the EzInput keyboard which I prefer over any other keyboard and the Sip menu changer .
I use this rom daily with no troubles. Lots of free ram always and most stable. I give the disclaimer that I am not responsible for anything that goes wrong though, you install this at your own risk. I made this for my own use, but have seen some who want transparent taskbars so thought I would share it is all. Enjoy.

There is only the Windows Today UI in this rom, Chome and Samsung Today are removed. Also no Samsung keyboards. If any other program is not listed above it also is not in the rom.

PagePool is 6 meg which is plenty for the rom. On first boot there is about 95 megs free ram and 240 megs free space.
Remember to go to the EzInput Sip Menu Changer and select Full QWERTY keyboard.
One thing to do after flashing this rom, make sure to do a hard reset immediately to make sure there is nothing from the previous one you had on your phone still there. Thanks to Umpal for reminding some to do this but I felt I should add this to the first post. If you are not getting your sms or you see 2 message folders, then the hard reset will correct that. It isn't a fault of the rom but just how things work when flashing phones... always do a hard reset.

If you want PowerDic back, put the folder in the attached zip into your Programs folder, in Start Menu in Windows on your phone. It has the shortcut and pngs for that program.

The flash on my phone with the rom works for the YouTube program great and in Opera 5 mini too

Are you changing the backlight time or screen off? I have no problem with this on my phone.
I've tried both my friend, backlight and screen off, nothing seems to work, after 30 seconds screen goes blank. Maybe its my phone! thanks for your timely reply.

after installing rom, did you do a hard reset?
yes, did hard reset. as long as i keep my finger on the screen it will stay on,but if i remove my finger then after 10 sec it goes dim, then after 30 sec it goes blank, have to push button to get it to turn back on.

The build number 21916 should tell you it is WM 6.5
Time to move on, with a new phone I won't be supporting this anymore. Thanks for trying it out and hope it was a good for you. Download will be around for a while longer.
