Clear Protector - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Accessories

Has anybody purchased from http://www.clearprotector.com?
I recall seeing somebody post about it's product and a code where one could get 50% off the original price. Don't seem to be able to find it anymore.
Anybody?

I didn't like the screen protector part, but the body protection seems pretty good, overall bodyguardz seems better

Yah....i only plan to use the back protector. I've got my own screen protector already
I've writen 3 emails to them with no replies. Wondering if they are still in business or have already closed down. I put in my order 21 days ago and have not receive anything and they don't seem to be replying any of my emails
Anybody else using their product? Any issues with getting your items?

discount code
the discount word is "discount" without quotes
ordered 1 yesterday
$10 shipped

I bought the whole package and although screen protector isn't bad..I'm seeing little dents in the plastic from clicking something with my nail or using the stylus.
Also, gives the screen a more rubber feel. I definitely prefer the original screen protector that came with T-Mo version.
Will be keeping the back protector on like you plan on doing

Well.... finally they replied. Seems like it's been lost in the mail. They will send one out again. Got to wait for another 2 weeks

Invisible Shield

everyone should start emailing Invisible Shield to get their attention about the HD. That we want one. Even if you get the reply to send your phone in. If we all do it then maybe they will make one somehow.
going to get my HD maybe in a week or so. barely ordered it!
Already emiled them about it a week ago after i got my HD. They said a user promised to mail his in and they would keep me informed
we should still keep emailing them! ahha
Hi guys!
I emailed Clear-Coat.com:
The new HTC Touch HD is now released in many countries, and I was wondering when, or if you'll make protectors for this device?

We're actually expecting to ship Touch HD Clear-Coats on Friday. You will be able to pre-order that from our site tonight - it should be available in the next 4 hours or so.

Even though I just ordered my HD, I emailed them last week getting the same response about someone mailing their HD in for a pattern.
Hate to let my beautiful workhorse (meaning toy ) go unprotected for long.
i just went to their site and see nothing about the HD.. i haven't gotten a reply from invisibleSHIELD yet... i got time ..my phone hasn't even been shipped..
I'm wondering which one should i get, the brando ultra clear screen protector or the invisible shield?
I'll get invisibleshield as it protects the entire device, whereas the other one only protects the front.

Figured as much myself, but the ad at the site sounded a lot like a scam one. As in "military technology that we bring to you" and such...
How do you apply it? Will it show and won't it be uncomfortable? Will you be able to get the back cover off?
Dude, just "Youtube" the word invisibleSHIELD. It's no scam.
They use the same technology on helicopter rotorblades, that's probably why they would use that term.
Would the thinkness of this invisible shield stop it from fitting in a car mount specific to the HD such as the Brodit one?

Clear coat looks interesting. I can't tell from the website, but does the "whole body protection" covers every part of the body or just the front and back? Anyone knows?

My experience with invisibleShield on another device has left me quite unsatisfied. The surface of the film isn't smooth like PET protectors, but a little gummy or tacky feeling, and when I tried to move my finger across the screen, it would try to stop in places, and would actually vibrate across the screen, like your finger does across a counter top (that squeeky clean type of thing) which would register as several simultaneous double taps, sending my winmo, especially opera, into insanity. Imagine the frustration of trying to scroll down a zoomed webpage, only to have it unzoom every time you scroll . The only way around this was to put my fingertip in my mouth to moisten it, then it would glide across the screen, but that made me look like a dork (like I need any help anyway ) and left the screen in bad need of cleaning. I emailed them about that, and they responded that it shouldn't do that and offered me a replacement IS. In all fairness, I should say that it really is scratch proof. I know... I tried
Anyone else experience this? Maybe its just me... Perhaps I'll try this clearcoat when my HD is delivered this afternoon...
with the whole body as i know it even covers corners so thats a better way to go. im guessing they made it two parts for the back? i wonder too.. cuz with th iPhone you dont have to open it ever.. but with this is totally different. im most likely going to be buying it but not yet. im going to see if i like the phone first before spending more money..
i got it from clove.. anyone buy from there? i got it got 720.. it says it shipped the 19 and getting there the 21.. is that right? kind of fast? but i paid for the better shipping with FedEx.. to USA.
anyways.. why would you just get a screen protector? get the full body!
no.. invisible shield has been fine for me. ive used it on a iPhone and i didn't have ANY problem using it.. maybe it different because of the touch tecnology? so its less stable on the pressure/other types..
has anyone used clear coat?.... i dont know if to get it... according to people the gloss paint chips easily so i dont tnhink im even going to use my phone untill i get a full body cover.. thats just lame from HTC but oh well.. but anyone know about the quality of clear coat?

owners ot the BodyGlove case - read this

if you have the original case with no opening for the proximity sensor, email:
Customer Service <[email protected]>
and you may be getting free replacement. I just got mine and it is excellent. I had the previous one drilled, but it never worked well.
good luck!
Do you have a pic of the new case?
UPDATE
I have emailed fellowes, and have received a response. They say they are unaware of this issue, and request a receipt and more info on the problem.
I will post updates later....
i dont have the picture ,but simply the top of the new case looks just like the bottom, it is completely symmetrical.
To be honest, I first emailed BodyGlove, they responded about a week later and they forwarded my email to Fellows with their comments that I am right. So, maybe the first step is needed as well?
The address:
[email protected]
there is also a special address at fellows for BodyGlove branded products. Better chance they know abotu the problem:
[email protected]
The effort is worth it,the new case is perfect.

One more reason to wait for the innocase from Seidio...
Will the body glove case work with the Tilt 2 from AT&T? Is it worth the $30?
Great Case
I got my new case in the mail. this is a great case. Definitely worth the money. i cant believe tmo is still selling the old DEFECTIVE version of this case!?! when i confronted the guy to tmo, they are clueless of this issue.. lol

I've been trying to find out the answer to this as well. Some websites out there say it will fit the Tilt 2, but some say it's only compatible with the T-Mo Branded version. I guess I'll call Body Glove tomorrow to find out.
Okay, so I spoke with a representative with the company who seemed fairly informed about the product (I believe her name was Ellen, but I can't really recall) and she told me that the Body Glove would fit the Tilt 2, but it would cover up the "Push To Talk" button. She also shared the issue with tilting, but that's something we already knew.
She added that there are 2 versions of the GSM case out on the market; and the one that compensates for the proximity sensor can only be guaranteed if you purchase through them at bodyglove.com (at the moment anyway).
Also, providing coupon code "neato" will give you 20% off the product.
With that said, I guess I'll have to order through them to be sure I get the one I want without too much hassle.
Alright, so I got this the other day and tried it on my Tilt 2.
I must say, it fits rather poorly... The GSM version is pretty unusable on the Tilt 2. The front enclosure is made too small for the phone so it doesn't even snap in. The phone fits inside the rear part of the case, but is very loose and only half way snaps in (I've actually had the phone fall out of it... luckily I was on carpet).
I'm gonna give these guys a call back and see what they can offer me.
I guess it was worth a try
I have gotten mine all ready and it works much better. The big change is in the face plate which is now just a ring around the outside instead of wrapping around the speaker. The funny thing is while I was waiting for it to come in I started using a hip pouch and now I'm happy without the Body Glove.

Need a good new screen protector

my martin fields isnt really upto the job, it keeps coming off and needs alot of cleaning and i just cant be botherd witht hat now!!
so let me know what you use and how long its been working for you.
thanks
The ZAGG Invisible Shield seems to be very durable. I have a friend that has had one on his iphone for over a year and it hasn't started to peel. He puts it in his pocket, no carry case, so it's had quite a hard life. It doesn't seem to adversely affect the touchscreen operation either.
EDIT: Not sure if it is available in the UK.
sounds like what i need, hopefully it is available in the UK and for a good price!!
Cheers
I just picked up :
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390227019923
This is the same material as the ZAGG brand as it hasn't been patented, and there are a few companies that sell it without the markup.
The seller is an actual website that sells at retail prices, but their eBay pricing is always heavily discounted, I've used their protectors before and ZAGG's, and I can confirm they are the same in quality.
The slight difference I found is Clear Protector brand is easier on the fingers when sliding, I find the ZAGG brand is hard to slide your finger across the screen against its material.
EDIT: ignore the signature, as I haven't updated yet. =P
thanks for that, ill keep it in mind! i had the full body type like that on my nokia but it didnt feel light. Will deffo keep it in mind tho!!
Thanks

I can't vouch for the Clear Protector brand, but I will say that there is more friction with the ZAGG screen protector than without. It didn't take long to get used to and the protection is certainly worth it.
Lokosis, can you remove and reapply the Clear Protector like you can with the ZAGG?
A big +1 for the Clear Protector film.
I've had mine on since day #1 (I got my TP2 on release day last September). Not a scratch or defect yet... and I carry my phone EVERYWHERE.
The only down-side I see is that it has a bit of a rubbery feel to it when dirty. A wipe down with a microfiber cloth helps. A shop of Plexus, or Pledge once a month keeps things slippery.
IMO, if applied correctly, the screen protector will last the usage life of the device (3 yrs +/-), no problem.
ok i really need to sit down tonight and have a look at them all as i need one asap!
i think i may have fitted my mf one too close to the edge and thats why it got pulled off and dust goot in ect... but my screen is still like new under it! and i can get a twin pack for £12 or £13 posted and itll be here within a few days which would be good, but ill see how they compare to others ect...

ZAGG i been with zaggg for about a year and a half now and never been let down, 4 buck for replacement life time warranty. its was made to last i had a full body protection on my TP2 ever since i bought it from day one which was last year October, had to send my device back to tmobile because the touch screen died on me other then that i would have been with the same protection till this day. all i had to do was call zagg asked for a replacement, you dont even have to call it for a replacement you can do it right off the website now. But overall the case increase your grip, keep your phone from sliding across desktop(what a life saver) i never had a problem with sliding my finger across the screen, people don't notice it. idk how but they just don't notice it

[Q] Screen Protector, which one should I ..?

Hello everyone, i've seen there are a lot films for the screen.
I need to replace it, but as far as i've seen, HTC does one which comes 9.9€;
Should i take it??
Or should i go for the ebay's one?

are there any differences??
thanks!!
I suggest to get the cheapest on. I,ve ordered alot of screen protector for my phones and they are all about the same thing.
I've ordered those one at 0.99$ from China and do the Job #1. I change it as soon as the shiny finis is gone (after 3-4 month)
don't get it too thik because you lose touch screen sensibility.
i was just about to buy the htc's..
I don't know which flavor phone you have, but AT&T currently has a three pack online for $5.00
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-ph...060233&q_manufacturer=htc&q_model=prod4000225
I ordered three packs as the phone is no longer online and I am sure these will be gone soon too.
Get the AT$T ones as they are a perfect fit. I bought some off eBay and while they fit they were just slightly larger overall. This makes them not sit flat on the screen giving you a slight bubble along the edge and you can feel the edge with your finger when you slide it across. I've lifted mine inadvertently a few time because of this.
mirror screen
I saw an Ipod with a mirror screen once and i believe there out for rhodiums as well. can anyone reccomend a good one thats cheep?

That's exactly the reason i entered this thread. I have had a pair of mirror screen protector sitting in a drawer for moooonthssss. The previous one was my first, but it did the job and time forbiding, i left it alone. But tonight i took a few minutes and installed the first of my mirrored screen protectors!!!
WOW
i don't get why all the others are still available. People you won't believe it!
I didn't pick any specific ebay seller. Just hit the cheapest i saw( i also bought the tv out thingy from the same seller, haven't tried that one out either)
You may read around that it darkens the screen a bit. That may well be so but no remarkably enough to stop you from using it!

Update.
All good, apart from direct sunlight. Everyphone suffers in that area, mirror screen protector sucks worse!
Honestly get the Zagg ones. I dropped my HTC Touch Pro 2 twice, while running, face DOWN, and it skidded for like 5 feet. I've got scratches on the inside of the phone, on the case, but the screen itself is perfect. Best money I ever spent.

I second the Zagg. Garanteed protection. I am done with those cheap dozen for a penny protectors that last maybe a month, bubble up, don't fit, peal off, etc, etc... Sure they are cheap, but what a waste of time...
I typically go with the full body style from Zagg to provide an almost complete protection of the phone and enhance the style. You can buy them from Zagg.com, Amazon.com or if you prefer the touchy feely you can typically get them at Best Buy. Come with an applicator spray and squeegie to ensure there are NO bubbles!
Just my 2¢...

PureTek Roll-On Screen Shield

I just bought my note from swappa last week, I bought some screen protectors for it, I had 3 and couldn't get any of them on without a lot of dust and bubbles. I've never been able to get one on a phone without some dust, but on this note it was ridicules.
So a few minutes ago I bought a roll on shield kit from ebay for $6.
I searched the I717 accessories section to see if there was a thread about the product, I didn't find anything so I am posting this.
It will be a few days before I receive it, when I do I'll review it here.
If anyone has used the product before on an android phone and has anything to say, I'd be interested in reading about your experience with it.
I really hope this thing is good because I am not sure about paying $20 for a Moshi Ivisor and they don't seem to make extended battery cases with built-in screen protectors, and I am not sure built-in screen protectors are that good anyway.
If I knew for sure the Ivisor would be good I wouldn't hesitate to buy one, but I read they blur the screen and have visible dot pattern that could be annoying.
This Video makes the PureTek Roll-On Screen Shield seem really good.

I have tried this screen protector twice before and each time the screen protector would not roll on right. It has been awhile since I used them and can't remember what actually went wrong,
It came today and I used it, but the shield didn't come off the first time, I was scared.. I thought i was screwed but I was able to put the thing back together and try again...the second time the shield actually applied and looks nice.
It's only been an hour but it seems perfect,No bubbles, no dust and touch response seems good, It does feel a little rough when i touch the screen but I've had that problem with other screen protectors in the past and that goes away or maybe I just get used to it.
Glad it worked out for u.
