ROM Build 21867 - October 8th, 2009, 10:00 am
After flashing, let it go all the way to Home Screen and then soft-reset
Not to be a nag or anything, but over 5700 views with 20 "Excellent" votes and only five guys donated?
Is my ROM really not worth a single buck donation?
If I were to give you this at a bar, you'd buy me a cup of coffee or something, for sure. Try not to only come around here, get the donwload link and leave. That kind of sucks. It's kind of like stiffing someone.
Features:
1 - Very low battery consumption;
2 - HTC Menu Enhancement enabled even if Manila is disabled;
3 - ROM is now based on Iolite's 1.11.707.1;
4 - Added missing shortcuts on Start Menu to: Adobe LE Reader, HTC Album, Audio Booster, Camera, Facebook, HTC Camcorder, Long Press End Key, Recorder, NaviPanel, QuickGPS, RSS Hub, Sim Manager, Windows Update, Bing Search Widget and YouTube;
5 - Double hardware keys assignment is now FIXED (used Mirko.prinz's trick);
6 - Added .Net Compact Framework 3.7;
7 - Vibration WORKS with EzInput 2.1 (used wg5566's advice);
8 - Connection Setup WORKS (used original from Iolite);
9 - RAM consumption down to 37% (with Titanium enabled).
10 - Bubble Breaker added;
11 - 4 modes added for HTC Camera;
12 - MMS Receive Limit is now 3Mb (if supported by your Network);
13 - Fixed SMS no sound issue (you must enable sound on events if you want SMS to sound without waking up your device);
14 - New Windows Mobile 6.5 LockScreen WORKS (BIG THANKS to dancer_69's advice);
15 - InCall recording enabled by default;
16 - Security warning disabled by default;
17 - Fixed Google Maps issue.

Question: What is this ROM?
Answer: This is basically a Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM for Iolite based on 1.11.707.1 English ROM with ALL HTC Mega packages plus NaviPanel and Footprints from Iolite.

Useful software for your Iolite here.
If you want to backup your Stock ROM before flashing this one, you can download the attachment in this very post, which was provided by the great mirko.prinz and figure out how to dump it. It's really quite easy. Get the attachment HERE too.
NOTE:
ROM will take its time installing, 'cause it is so compressed and is unpacking everything. It will seem like it has hanged, but it has not. Let it go all the way through, have some patience. 10 minutes will be more than enough.
1 - For those who want the oldest version (dated October 1st), that still had a few bugs, described 'till post #63, you can get it here.
2 - Download the ROM dated October 2nd, which had build number 21859 and still a few bugs described 'till post #102 by clicking here.
3 - For those that want the ROM that ONLY HAD 1 BUG (Google Maps), you can get it here and the .cab to fix the Google Maps issue here.
4 - For those that want the ROM build 21864 dated October 5th and had no Windows Update shortcut and no Bing Search widget, you can get it here.
Note that I only uploaded ROMs again because so many people asked me to and did not deserve to be withdrawn of ROMs for their devices. But if by any chance I feel that any "rookie" is disdaining my work, I will remove the ROM links for indefinite periods of time.

hi, I saw many ROMS. So I confuse now. I installed one 6.5 ROM os 2.2.something. Later I saw another later one, then I installed again. So help me billabongstaff. What is your recommended ROM? I don't care latest or not. Please give me most suitable one. If still trying, just give me a good one. Don't give me from rapidshare link. Give me other link.....thank you...I always support you now I am using above Asian ROM. Very nice! I think above ROM is 6.5 but themes is still same as 6.1 but problem is
1 HOW can I registry edit to change bluetooh for comm manager like ( dancer_69).
2 Wifi also cannot ON from comm manager..
now I used setting menu to ON these application.
Help me!

I tried messing around with registry for that and ended up screwing everything, so I left it like that.
I'll try to get around that some other way and keep you updated.

I recommend you this one. It's the most advanced one I have and the one I spent more time working on, trying to sort out any bugs.
Regarding Wifi, it's turning ON just fine from Comm Mananger, thanks to g77's input...

I'm guessing this will be the final version for Iolite for a long time... I'll just be updating XIP and SYS and cooking in other languages as HTC Mega Packages are made available...

Guys,
I have come many a times across ROM's in this forum but never had the chance to try one myself because I was afraid of loosing everything I have on my touch cruise 09 phone.
I have finally decided to try this one but before going any further I would definitely need some support on this. First question would be the one regarding Asian ROM functionality. Is it a language pack, is it something connected to Windows itself or just some features I may never use?

The Asian Reference is regarding the HTC Mega (not the Iolite) ROM from where I got the packages. I removed every Asian related characters and stuff... There is nothing Asian about it, nor about Windows itself.
Be my guest and flash away.
Don't forget to Hard-SPL first.
