Hey everybody, I've not been on the forums for a while and a search hasn't turned up what I need so I'm helping a forum member can help me out.
I'm donating my Cingular 3125 to my mother in law but she only understands Spanish so I need a ROM that has the language files so the whole phone runs in Spanish instead of English
Really hope an XDA member can't point me in the right direction!

man, it's easy, go to the post what it's about OFFICIAL ROMS, then you have to choose the HTC S411 rom, and follow the instructions... when the rom is installed on the phone, change the language that you want, beacuse that rom has 3 languages... portuguese, english and spanish... Might be old news to most of you, but I've been struggling of late to find a English ROM for the SPV C550. Thanks to Rafet, we have a link to an SDAII English ROM: Choose the second link as the first is a Russian Qtek ROM.

I was just about to post the same thing.
It is a WM6 ROM from G-Smart model and based on a chinese WM5 ROM so it is a chinese ROM. Beta1 got problem on GPRS, cannot use GPRS. Fortunately, Beta2 already fixed the GPRS problem.
According to the forum, the guy may not willing to continue since the rom already finished and most of the problem solved. So hopefully some expert will take it and mod a english rom for user like us.
So what to do now, shall we request some other heros on this forum who have been doing it. I think its a rare thing and should not be let to go
You can give it a try but I doubt they will give any helps because it is too rare and not much user for it.

If you know anyone who can help us out, name it. I seriously hope that there are english WM6 for Stealth. Although I can read chinese but I just dont like to use chinese ROM.

Sorry dude. That forum is from china, people over there prefer chinese instead of english, it is their main language. I do hope someone can make a english rom out but I doubt it is from the forum. My only hope is expert from here...

You have to flash a complete ROM since Windows Mobile 6/6.1 Classic and Professional aren't multilanguage like Windows Mobile Standard 6/6.1! You can find an official WWE ROM with the board search!

If you intend to only flash the Official HTC ROM, then make sure your phone is not SIM locked, or flashing will fail.
If the phone is unlocked:
1) Download the ROM
2) Connect phone to PC, and ensure that you manage to have ActiveSync working.
3) Double click the ROM and follow instructions.

On my old HTC Prophet, i have a chinese wm6 rom, that actually have 2 languages: English and chinese.

How can we did it?
NetrunnerAT tried many things but didn't succeeded in creating a multilang ROM, so I think there's no hope for such a ROM ...!
It was chinese rom, for Prophet, i found it on chinese forum. (I believe it was xbeta.cn)
Once, i have found one registry keys that depend system language (originally the key was 0804-chinese, but i changed it to english).
After SR, rom get english language, but it was lagy/slow
I have asked about it on 4pda forum (it was first exp, i am glad that found such good forum) and the answer was simple:
The problem was thats rom just didn't loaded properly, because it doesn't have english paths (Only chinese), so some files didn't loaded.
So this litle problem can be easly solved by changing paths.
I didnt do so because i have flashed new wm6.1rom that i found on 4pda.
But i am sure that this is possible
I think all we need for it:
1)Multulanguage ready rom (With .mui's for correct languages)
2)For changing language, user will just run simple program (or .cab) thats will add new path's and new registry keys
By the way, it was only 1.5 years ago

Hi. In my view you have to flash an english language ROM to your phone. You'll find plenty of ressources for that on these pages. This reflash will erase whatever you have installed on your device now. As far as i know theres no stand alone language pack that can override the language in the OS.
Please note that the ROM you find, *must* match the make/model of your phone. There's a lot of beginners ressources on this site. Happy hunting

as I'm not allowed to post a replay in the thread of this rom I want to try it here.
First of all: The ICS Remix Ressurection Rom ist very nice! Thanks for it!
As I live in Germany I speak german and I would like to have a cell phone thats themed and translated into german language.
In this Rom I can select german language but thats only the UI.
The Settings Screen for example is completly english.
Don't get me wrong I do speak english but a complete german translation would be awesome.
So: Would it be possible to translate at least the settings Menu?
Or can I do it for my self?
I would really appreciate your help as I like this Rom very much!
