HTC Pure Screen Protector - Touch Diamond2, Pure Accessories

Anywhere I can buy them? Preferably the OEM ones.

the answer to my own question:
http://www.clearprotector.com/phone-protectors/htc/htc-pure-screen-protector.html
http://www.screenguardz.com/content/accessories/1-12--2379.htm

The OEM one pit and scratch very easily. I'm very happy with my complete body cover from http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/htc-pure-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
Not only does it cover the whole thing, it gives it a much better feel, not as slippery as before.

How easy was it to install for you? I've been thinking about ordering the full body coverage but there's a lot of thin strip/little pieces which seem like it would make installation a real pain...

It wasn't that bad, I've done a few of them though. My first ipod I screwed up royally but learned from my mistakes(tried to take it off and adjust it after it was on for about 5 minutes, that's a nono). You just have to take you time, make sure it is SUPER clear, and it comes out ok. Looks like the sides aren't great, but it will definitely protect it well.

has anyone bought the full body from them? it went down in price by 5bucks.. i was wondering if there was pics and how much it actually covers..
i'm going to give it a try... if it makes the device more "grippy", i'll be a good to go.
It could be an amazing idea, or pile of poo. Please let us know how you get on.
can i combine for example a brando screen protecor with the full body kit from clear coat or invisibleshield?
let us know how it goes.. cuz i want it to cover corners and everything.. if you look at the pictures for the iphone they have.. it doesn't cover anything.
I emailed clear coat friday and here is the email with reply:

Hi, I would jlust like to know if this actually covers the entire phone, or just the front and back and not the edges.
Thank you

Khang,
Thank you for writing in. We have been able to get excellent coverage on the Touch HD. The sides, top, bottom, front, and back are all covered. All of our designs omit a small part of the corners - we've found this makes the Clear-Coat stay on longer (corners peel easily), and easier to install. Overall, I'd say you achieve 95% coverage on this model.
Clear-coat
For $20 shipped I jumped in....Invishield hasn't come out with their HD version yet and I want to keep my baby looking brand spanking new...untile I drop it in the toilet, of course.

Once you get it, please let us know how it feels and does it interfere with the smooth operation of the touch screen.
corners
Well, that´s bad for me..according to my experience with mobile phones, they always fall down on corners(
I just wonder how much is the new cover, whether it is not nearly the same price as this protector...

i oh so thought that you were referring to once he had dropped it in the toilet.
Blug, blug!!
I'll post a mini review once I get it on.
ookayy! PICTURES TOOO!!! PLEASE!!
I received my set yesterday, there are 5 pieces covering more or less 92% of the HD.
One big missing (7%) concerns the band all around the touch screen.
I dislike the touch screen part, to grippy for me, better to use original one from the HTC box.
I confirm, quite difficult to apply this protection to the corner.
Because of the size of the screen, do not put too much pressure when you apply the protection.
Not really good experience till now, I've expected a full protection
Does it cover the lens?
can yall post pics of the clear coat so we have a idea how they look. thanks in advance.

hmm - that will definitelly have negative impact on picture quality, I wish they cut a hole for the lens.
you mean it doesn't cover the part where the glossy paint is? the big major part of this phone? hahaha the chipping part? that sucks.. any pics?
wait, wait, wait.... let me understand
this body protector doesn't protect the most delicate part?
.... please confirm this fact, I was going to order it!
IT DOESN'T?!?!!? I bought clear-coat for that glossy chipping frame only

AT&T Tilt2 Full body transparent invisible shield

I just ordered my holster from seidio and all I need is a full body invisible transparent shield for Tilt. I'm having a difficult time trying to determine which brand is a better choices(Bodyguardz, zagg, phantom skinz). So far, I'm leaning toward Bodyguardz full body shield because it seems to protect the chrome corner side part and heard good reviews on surface texture feel.
Any inputs before I order the bodyguardz? Money is not easy to come by for me so I want to make sure before I plunk down hard earned cash. =)
Thanks in advance.
I bought one of them, think it was the bodyguard or flex version. I cant tell you how they hold up though because I ended up destroying mine while trying to put them on. Talk about a pain in the ass.
It was difficult to place them in the right spots and keep out the air bubbles, even using a credit card to squeegee the air out didnt work out to well. Then some how pieces of the larger ones were sticking to themselves while I was trying to put them on. They arent like the simple screen protectors that come with the phone and are very easy to put on.
They need an instructional video for people like me. Id really love to use the full protectors after shelling out the money I did for my Tilt 2, but I wont waste my money on something thats im likely to ruin before I even get on.
Bodyguardz
Bodyguardz is great, feel and protection wise. It is a little difficult to put on but once on correctly it will be worth it. If you use a little water (actually it comes with applicator spray) it will make it easier to position while applying. I used a Best Skins Ever on my Fuze and it was a little sticky while sliding with the finger but this one is almost like the stock protector, but thicker, longer lasting. If you do a search here a xda there is a thread where someone did a very good job showing and explaining how to put it on. GREAT Of course I have Tmous TP2 but I don't think they are that much different.
I finally took the plunge and ordered bodyguardz for my tilt 2. I'll post pictures and post it here. I hope I'll do a good job installing it. I hope the shield will protect the chrome edge part of the tilt2.
have you guys ever heard of GHOSTARMOR. very similar product. these guys show videos of their product actually being scratched and tossed around. They say its made out of the same material they use on military applications. this stuff looks extremely durable from their videos.
http://www.ghost-armor.com
I wonder if bodygaurdz is made out of the same material that GHOSTARMOR uses. Ive been really leaning towards getting GHOSTARMOR for my Sprint TP2.
I have the AT&T Tilt 2 and I love the screen shield that came in the box...does anyone know where to get more?
There was no water needed. Simply apply the shield and VOWLA* (<-check spelling) it fit perfect...

i do like the att screen shield - it is very smooth and feels nice. i bought a 3pack for $10 at the local att store when i picked up my new tilt2. had to ask to find them. i have 3 tiny specks of something on the current one (not bothersome so much), because once you peel the back it attracts everything to them. ive got the second one on and have 1 more before i realized that it had one i the box lol. i just got my 2 pack of body guardz but havent had the time to put it on. must devote my full attention to the process! there are great youtube videos for application tips and also great thread on this somewhere. i am very a very detail oriented person and a flawed application will drive me nuts. anywho i have 2 to try for $20 (i used a 20%) off coupon. will let you know how it goes. i chose bodyguardz cuz everyone said they are very smooth and durable and you get 2 instead of one....

I see...
I was actually looking for a screen protector online and in stores and stumbled into the one that AT&T put into the box with the phone. I was soooo excited!
Anyway...I don't know if I can spend $20 on 2 from bodyguardz...it's way too much money. However...you do get a lifetime replacement on them...so it might not be that bad.
Let me know how they come out and if you like them...I'm curious to see how they fit the Tilt 2.
Did you get just the screen protector of the case/phone protectors? They also sell the plastic peices for the back and sides...???
Snap some pics when your done with the application!
Thanks,
so the one that att has out of the box.. does it require cutting? or is it an exact fit?

lol yea.. i actually just got mine today.. so yea found out myself... and i put it on perfectly!! seems like a very legit screen protector... very rearely do i use the screen protectors that come out of the box.. this one is actually well made and durable
id love to see pictures of this. Thanks. I ordered the only case ATT had which is a clear plastic one.
I much rather use this and a leather case so i dont scratch it with the case itself.
Bodyguardz
I bought a pair of Bodyguardz because I was very happy with them on my Raphael. They survived a crash (on the moped) which my denim jeans didn't. I also tried Best skinz ever, but they peel off far to easily. I won't be buying that anymore. Anyway, the BGZ armor has been protecting my phone for almost or over a month now. Still happy with it. I'm not so pleased with the fitting though. The ones for Raphel fit absolutely perfect. the one for Rhodium not so... I have to say I could have done a better job with the pieces on the (front)sides of the phone. But that's easy to say in hindsight. It wasn't very clear how they would fit before application. Now I know better. the screenprotector is the worst part (the way its cut out). However many people complain about the screenprotectors from BSE/BGZ/GA because of the rubber-y-ness and go for the stock one (I f-ed up my stock screenprotector so had no choice, btw I've gotten used to it). Still I would recommend BGZ. BGZ has proven itself to me several times. A crash and several drops on the floor. No damage, no scratch and doesn't peel off that easily.

What do you think of this case/screen protector combo?

Hi, this is my first thread so far I've been doing a lot of research about my phone, figured it was a good deal, and purchased the Tmobile version. I've been looking for a case even before I bought it, but it seems there isn't a perfect case out there simply because of the sliding keyboard. Well I was just using my TP2 about an hour ago and as I was using the stylus to scroll down in opera, I heard "SCRAPE!" ...my ears said "WTF!?!?! NO!!!!" and i quickly realized what had just happened. Never thought it was possible but whatever. Anyways, I've had the phone for 6 days or so and I plan to exchange it tomorrow.
This has definitely motivated me to find a case and screen protector and end the headache. So I've came up with the following from reading some threads the past hour, but I want to be sure before I order. So far I have this case
http://cgi.ebay.com/Clear-Hard-Skin...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item45ef91bf67
and these screen protector (boxwave Crystal or Anti-glare)
Crystal

Anti-glare
http://www.boxwave.com/products/cleartouch/cleartouch-screen-protector-t-mobile-touch-pro2_3668.htm
I'm still searching as I don't want to purchase something and regret it, but let me know what you guys think. I've heard good things about the plastic case, but overall I'm looking for quality, but no more than $45 for case. Much appreciated
EDIT: DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS A SCREEN PROTECTOR IN THE BOX

It was 2000 the first time I experienced that. It was a palm m500 and a little piece of dust got on the tip of my stylus. I didn't hear it so much as I felt the friction, but my reaction was much the same. I haven't gone without a screen protector since.
As to the included screen protector, use it if it works for you, but you'll typically find better durability in popular protectors like the boxwaves you linked to or clarivues. The clarivue that I put on my Palm TX in 2005 is still on it, and still looks good.
The thing I worry about with a lot of those no name brand cases on ebay is how well do they really fit? The last thing you want is to have them falling off. I don't know if my fear is well-founded or not, but I didn't really want to gamble on it. But as far as TMo goes, I'm not sure what to tell you. Boxwave actually has a pretty cool soft case called the praetorian crystal slip, but not for the TMo version. Seidio seems like a nice quality joint, but they don't seem to make their innocase for the TMo version either.
Edit: I suppose you could check this thread out.
I had the acrylic case with screen protector and I removed it shortly after purchasing. The porblem I had is that the screen protector is superficial and although it works sometimes when I typed certain virtual keys another part of the screen protector would also bend down on my press and caused for a different near by character to be pressed. Eventually I got rid of it and just purchased a seperate screen protector.
I really am looking for quality though for a case, just want something that's not too big or will not hinder usage of the phone. I've heard a lot about the ghost armoring and all. I'm considering it, but that will not save a phone from a fall or anything like that.
Consider an all-body protector (such as zagg or bodyguardz), combined with a pouch or holster case that you remove the device from to use it.
This is my preferred method, so my TP2 is well protected when it's not in use, and I'm completely unhindered when I am using it (but still with scratch protection).
Note that the protectors need to be applied very slowly and carefully to make sure they're lined up well and properly stuck down around the edges.

I have the same clear hard plastic case and absolutely love it. I've tried the body glove case, and had some issues with sliding the keyboard in and out. I just use the screen protector that came with the phone, and the clear hard plastic case. No problems at all, though I still have to take the case off every once in a while to clean it, but you'd have to do that with any case really. Get a lot of compliments on it.

So it fits alright eh? The bodyglove one didn't seem to snap on correctly, and all the other ones I've seen fit so tight that it tends to seperate the screen portion from the keyboard portion...no issues with fitment for the tmobile version? Can you post a picture of how it looks with the clear case?
I just ordered some phantom skinz, I'll report back when they get here.

HTC quality.

You know.. I gotta say, I absolutely love the build quality on this thing.. I was worried about not having a case for it at first..
But, my girlfriend accidentally dropped it like christmas even and that is the only scratch on the thing.. it is a small nearly unable to be noticed scratch on the very bottom right side. And that was onto a brick fireplace by total fluke. (She didn't realize the box wasn't sealed shut and it somehow popped out.)
After having this thing nearly a month, it being in my backpack a few times, my pocket and other places..
I see no scratches dings or anything.. which is pretty impressive. While I have taken pretty darn good care of it.. normally by now you will have something on any given piece of electronic.
Are the HTC phones this good? I'd honestly consider settling for lower specs in the future as long as the build quality was this good... Naturally I have and would use a screen protector but, I must say I am very happy with the current no scratch goodness of my tablet.
Yes, they are built well. I did drop mine from about 3-4 feet and it hit a corner in a case on a hard floor and the LCD went bad. I replaced it and all is well.
I dropped mine down a crack on a sleeper sofa and it put a nice gouge on the side of the tablet, but otherwise it's pretty good. Got a little nick on the screen as well. But otherwise, it certainly feels like a premium device.
Dropped mine screen first on a parking lot. Only a corner was scratched.
HTC is the best. I can't believe the majority of people think Iphones in the same league. You can't even mount it as a flash drive for christ sakes, you have to go through Itunes, after you have to update it every week or it doesn't work lol.
I'll probably get thrown off the forums for admitting this, but I'm an iPhone / Mac user and the View has really impressed me in terms of build quality. HTC's software "improvements", on the other hand... :/

All of these products are designed to enhance our lives in ways ranging from fun to productivity.
While we may disagree on preferences or reasons to use certain products, none are really more or less valid than anyone elses.
I don't deny personally having a strong dislike of Apple products, but they are gadgets not a religion.
I'm a veteran myself...
cautiously dropped this baby onto my bed...still 100% functional.

Absolutely get a screen protector. They also help reduce glare (if you go with a matte one) which is a real problem with this tablet if you like to watch movies.
I had a screen protector on my Nook Color also, and just before I sold it I put a deep gouge into it by pushing too hard on a cheap capacitive pen. Thanks to my screen protector I was able to sell the Nook with a clean screen, rather than one with a deep gash.
I have a screen protector, but no case on my Flyer. The powder coat aluminum casing seems really durable, and I've been really impressed with it. I've owned it since June I think. I can't seen any scratching on it, despite being laid on tables constantly.
My Desire Z phone has a brushed aluminum battery cover on back, which has a lot of superficial scratches. But the soft touch plastic around it does not show scratches. Every HTC phone is a bit different (a few too many different design, some might say). But in general, they have the highest quality casing design in the business, IMO.

Yeah, I can't count how many times I've set my tab on a table and I feel something scraping the bottom that I didn't see when I looked at the table..
Scared the crap out of me the first few times.. I am quite pleased to have no scratches from it yet.
also, I have a screen protector on my flyer.. Found a cheapo zagg at bestbuy.
Tottaly agree. I really like the build quality of the HTC Flyer. The HTC Flyer is my first permanet tablet. I started with a Samsung 8.9 but it went back to the store.

Spen traces in invisible shield

I noticed that when I use the spen on this protector I can see the traces on it. As a matter of fact I can still see today the traces from the first time I used the pen close to a month ago. Is anyone having the same problem with invisible shield? What screen protector are y'all using that is not having this problem and where you got it?
Thanks!
I was using a BodyGuardz (similar to the Zagg) and was seeing the same thing. That style just isn't made for a precise point pen like the note has.
I've switched over to an SGP Glass-t and could't be happier with the decision. There's a thread in the forum all about it - but it's basically a glass screen protector and after a short while using it - I wish I would have found them years ago.
i had one on mine (which has since been sold for a white one arriving tomorrow) and it does show traces, but only if you look at it from a serious angle with light reflecting off of it.
the zagg's are made to change shape, etc. which is one of the reasons why they are so durable.
i honestly didn't find any fault with the traces, as i had to truly look for them. a cursory glance wouldn't reveal their presence.
that said, i have ordered a glas.t to test it and see how i like it. i'm a huge fan of zagg and i cannot stand any other type of screen protector.
I hated the traces at first as well, but I only see them when the display is off and at an angle. It doesn't affect the function of the S-Pen or visibility at all. I wish it wasn't quite so "tacky" when drawing on it - I really hope it doesn't affect the durability of the pen's nub in the long run. But for me, protecting the display with something so durable and with a lifetime warranty (and free replacement and application through Best Buy) is worth it.

for reals. i love the feel *EXCEPT* when using the s-pen. i hope they release the HD and smudge-proof versions as they may help alleviate that (though i don't like either as much).

Here's what I'm using. Probably the best SP you can buy once you get over the price. There's no feel to it and it doesn't interfere with the S-Pen or touch.
Spigen SGP Ultra Crystal
Absolutely phenomenal.
I want to try the Glas SGP that modmyphone posted, but the "one shot deal" installation scared me. As well as I don't think my case will fit with.
If it protects my phone I won't care if it's $99, lol
I'm quite happy with the one I got from Ebay seller 'rdstore'. Clear as a bell and the pen doesn't leave any marks. Also, $1.49.
Any of the softwer type ones are going to do this. I just peeled off my ArmourSuit to send back for a new one (life time replacements) but dont know if i'll paply it since it'll just happen again. I love the wet type ones bc they are so easy to apply and zero bubbles. Plus I've grown to love the rubbery feel of them. I will continue to use them for the back of the phone as the rubber texture provides a grippy surface to prevent phone from sliding around, but will have to get one of the thinner nonremovable crappy ones as DrawSomething has left my screen saver looking horrid.
