It's not available just yet, Source O2 have the 1.72 page up here but the download link takes you to v1.6050 at My-XDA.Com
Patience lads November 1st is the release date (according to several sources). I guess SourceO2 are just getting themselves prepared so they can be 'first' to announce it

This software does not have Blackberry software built in. The 1.72.181 software upgrade, which will be available from the 1st of November will feature Blackberry.

I read that message differently, while it says final, I take that to mean - final after lots of beta tests. Not final, as in the last one we'll ever get!

If you noticed tha last post here was in 2004. Since then the wizards here in xda-developers have cooked up WM 5 and WM 6 ROMS which are far superior to the original 2003. Just Choose which you want to install in your XDA. There are threads for both. Just read carefully instructions in installing AND how to get more memory.

I have a MDA Compact 2, too.
And the 3rd ROM worked for me.
I installed T-Mobile AKU 3.3 before, but i dont know whether it is necessary.
hi guys im new to the forum i have a charmer handset aswel was looking to update the rom on it
i was wondering whats the best rom update availble for it and most stable one?

I think the thread has to be refreshed.
The french official WM 6.5 rom has been released on HTC site ,I can't download it for now ,probably because I bought my TD2 to Vodaphone (SFR)
Maybe you should read the stickys first.... same french file version, same crc

I picked up an T4243 (still baffles me about this model) and the previous owner put some version of 6.5 on it.
IT BLOWS. slow slow slow!!! I can't add owners info and I am not sure where to find the original WWE English (USA) version of the 6.1 ROM. I like 6.1 regardless what people say.
So.. um... I read about how to get it on there, now, where to get? Thanks!
