[ROM] 22/Mar ERD79 -> EPE76 - Stock Nexus One images / zip / online kitchen / rooted
This topic provides downloads of the stock ROM for the Nexus One.
I would advise reading through all of the options available before downloading to ensure you get what you are looking for! Enjoy - i'll update this topic as and when new ROM releases become available.
Tip: 'ERD79' is the original shipping ROM, 'ERE27' is the official update and 'ERE36B', 'EPE54B' and 'EPE76' are the leaked updates (EPE76 is the latest).
P
Image Format
This is the original secure signed zip from HTC. It contains all of the images for the various partitions on the device, which can be flashed via fastboot. To flash, extract the command 'fastboot flash partition imagename'. For example, to flash the boot image, use 'fastboot flash boot boot.img' and to flash the system partition use 'fastboot flash system system.img'. If you do not have a copy of fastboot, you can grab it here.
Use this download if you want to return your phone to completely, original, stock state.

If you would like to use the stock ROM but would like either root access or an insecure boot image (for adb remount permissions), then visit the superboot topic.
Official update patch zip
If you are on a completely stock ERD79 device (including stock recovery image), you can use the official ERE27 update (this is the same as the OTA update). Just download it, put it on the SD card named update.zip, launch recovery (power on with volume down held), press power and volume up when the warning triangle icon appears then select 'apply update.zip'. Sorted.

For expert use - if you would like your EPE54B de-odexed (for use with theming etc.), then there are two packs available for download below. The first is for the framework directory and should be sufficient for most theming, the second is for the app directory and provides full de-odexing. To push the framework, remove *.jar and *.odex from /system/framework and push the contents of the framework zip. To push apps, remove everything from the /system/app directory and push the contents of th app zip.

Online Kitchen
The online kitchen below allows you to create a custom update ZIP with the components you require. The image is still stock, you just have the option of leaving out the bits you don't want. For expert users, the option to include either an insecure boot image or the superboot root boot image (with or without himem) is included. The radio image can also be included.
Enjoy!

Good Job!!!

Finally a kitchen for android, online non the less. About time in all honesty, I wonder why it took a year. Maybe some future options would be to choose which partition the applications go to? Also an upload option for our own software would be handy with options of partitions of course.

This is the same ROM all nexuses is shipped with?

Not *yet*...

Holy ****! When did we get an online kitchen?!?!?! I've never seen this before for any phone I've ever owned! Now I know the awe that my parents must have felt when they first saw the internet!

Haha, my new baby... there's some awesome new stuff coming to the online kitchen too.
Imagine having a 'Kitchen' app on your device where you pick the bits you want (in a native UI) and it downloads the update.zip ready for you to flash.
It's coming.

Assuming you are on a custom ROM, do a Wipe and Dalvik's cache wipe before flashing it.
After flashing this - do another Wipe and your good to go

03/Feb ERE27 - New update rooted and unrooted, optional radio, optional himem
Well here it is people, Google's ERE27 update, repacked by yours truly to apply just how you like.
If you are on a completely stock device
1. Google's own update
If you are on a completely stock device (including stock recovery image), you can use the official update. Just download it, put it on the SD card named update.zip, launch recovery (power on with volume down held), press power and volume up when the warning triangle icon appears then select 'apply update.zip'. Sorted.
If you are on a non-stock device
Simply work through the steps below. Steps 1 and 2 are highly recommended. Use step 3 OR 4 OR 5 as desired. Step 6 just makes it all super easy.
1. The main update itself
I've downloaded the main update and repurposed it to a conventional update zip, to apply via the modified recovery. This is non wipe, and can be flashed over the top of just about anything. It is completely stock, secure and unrooted... see below for more on that.
2. The radio update
The update includes a new Radio ROM, which I have packaged seperately, again as an update zip. It carries version number 32.24.00.22U_4.03.00.21_2.
3. Insecure boot image
If you don't want to have full root but you'd like ADB remount permissions, you need to flash an insecure boot image. Because i'm nice, I made one for you. Simply download it, put your device in bootloader and run 'fastboot flash boot boot.ERE27.insecure.img'.
4. Superboot boot image.
You don't just want insecure boot, you want root (su and superuser)? I don't blame you... and again, because i'm nice, i've made you a superboot. Simply download it, put your device in bootloader and run 'fastboot flash boot boot.ERE27.superboot.img'.
5. Superboot boot image with himem.
If you'd like to make use of the full RAM on your device, you can use the Superboot himem boot image. It includes everything in the superboot image above, plus an updated kernel and wireless driver. Simply download it, put your device in bootloader and run 'fastboot flash boot boot.ERE27.superboot.himem.img'.
6. Another way - the MoDaCo Online Kitchen.
The online kitchenallows you to create a custom update ZIP with the components you require. The image is still stock, you just have the option of leaving out the bits you don't want. For expert users, the option to include either an insecure boot image or the superboot root boot image is included. The radio image can also be included.
DOWNLOADS
Enjoy!

Can we just flash this over a rooted stock rom with bacon addon?

Thanks paul! Will try!

Thanks Paul for this update

[GUIDE/BUGLIST] AOSP 2.1 ROM Bugs and Fixes | Post questions here

AOSP 2.1 Bug List - by FreeX10 (jerpelea and zdzihu)
THE DEV THREAD IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD!!!
Because the main DEV thread has become so cluttered with useless posts, i will try to condense all the Bugs and Fixes into the one post here. The DEV thread is not a thread to discuss what you would like to see in the next version, or a thread to ask why something was not included in the ROM. I do not have anything to do with the development of these ROMS but am trying to make life easier for Jerpelea and Zdzihu. If you have questions, answers, bugs or fixes, this is the place to post them.
AOSP 2.1 Changelog (Features that are working, and when they were resolved)
Changelog is here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=464170&d=1292341044
Current Issues and the Corresponding ROM version
** 007a
- Rom is in final release and is quite stable. Few users reporting reboot issues but seem to be related to individual users settings.
- Left button unlocking screen when in lock mode - workaround is to enable pattern unlock feature
- unable to get straight back into xrecovery menu without reinstalling - some users reporting this (myself included) - Fix is to manually reinstall menu using zdzihu's instructions here => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9561575&postcount=1
-
** 007
- sorry, been a bit slack updating this list - PM me if you want anything listed.
** b006
- wifi not coming back after turning it off - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9707776&postcount=4291
- Launcher Pro Plus FC after removing ADW - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9708084&postcount=4296
- [FIX FOUND] Vignette image garbled - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9712316&postcount=4340
make sure you have latest version of Vignette installed - seems to work ok.
- 2G Connection is not constant - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9713159&postcount=4345
- [FIX FOUND]3G not connecting - no APN's - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9713110&postcount=4344 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9782564&postcount=34
Some users are saying if you manually enter your APN details, it all works
This is a work in progress so please PM me with the problem or post the specific issue here. Over the next few days i will be attempting to compile a list of all the bugs for the various versions of 2.1 AOSP Roms.
Lets keep the dev thread for what it is supposed to be - where the Devs can bounce ideas and list fixes and version releases.
Tim.
Installation Guides
What do you need...
- X10
- Root access (can be obtained many ways - z4root is probably the easiest - download z4root from market)
- ROM file (see below)
- USB cable to connect phone to pc
- zdzihu's Recovery menu needs to be installed also, and for this you need to be on 2.1 - does not work with 1.6 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9561575&postcount=1 or installation guide below.
- patience!
AOSP 2.1 - Black Freedom
- Download ROM file from here => http://hotfile.com/dl/89981020/d198ed1/BlackFreedom_signed_007a.rar.html
- connect phone to pc and mount the SD card.
- Within the .RAR file is a .ZIP file - extract this to your phones SD card and rename it to Update.zip
- reboot phone and enter recovery menu (repeatedly pressing BACK as soon as the Sony Ericsson logo appears)
- a good idea is to take a backup of your phone before going any further - Backup and Restore, and then choose Backup. This will create a folder on your SD Card called XRecovery/Backups and will create a sub-folder for each backup. I have tested renaming these sub-folders to something usefull with no issues!
- Once backup is complete, zdzihu recommends running a "full wipe" - make sure you choose the correct option here, it is on the main screen and says "Factory Reset (full wipe)" - THIS IS AN OPTIONAL STEP
- once wipe is complete, click "Install update.zip from SD Card" - this is why we renamed the .zip file earlier.
- phone will install rom and bring you back to menu when completed. simply reboot and it will launch the AOSP 2.1 ROM
Let me know if these steps are not clear and i will edit them. i did them in 5 minutes before leaving to go away for the weekend

There are 3 main ways to install this menu. The main method is via the .APK file that zoz33 created.
Other methods are a manual file copy using root explorer or using the old gscript file (outdated method).
I guess you could also ADB but i wont go into that method.
What you need...
- 2.1 ROM on your phone, this will not work with 1.6 Android.
- The files for the install are here - xRecovery 0.2-release
- Phone must have ROOT access and have busybox installed from the market (this is crucial)
Method 1 - APK File
1. Download the APK file and copy it to your phone (attached to this post)
2. Install the APK file and run it.
3. Click on the "Install xRecovery" button. In most cases, this will simply install the menu and you are done!
If you get errors, you may need to try the manual method below.
Method 2 - Manual installation
1. Download the APK file again and rename it to a .zip file (replace .apk with .zip)
2. open the new .zip file and extract the /res/raw folder inside. It should contain 3 files (chargemon, busybox, xrecovery.tar)
3. Using root explorer (and make sure R/W mode is enabled) copy the 3 files listed about directly into /system/bin
4. reboot phone and tap back button until recovery menu appears.
As usual, PM me or post a reply if the instructions are not clear.
Cheers.

this is what make this community great
thanks, any screen?
What is the purpose of these things?
Code:
Cifs/Tun modules (invoke using insmod)
Modified to allow insecure adb with stock kernel
CIFS modules are meant for shared folder support in Windows.
TUN modules are meant for VPN support
Insecure ADB is basically ADB where you have root rights by default. It's mainly thought for development purposes.

NVM, I got them, thanks anyways.
Quick Q, I have made a theme, how do I turn it into an IMG, or how do I install it? Sorry for the n00b q's, new to android!
install a theme from UOT using clockwork .
As for this IMG, ive removed most of the theme just to have a sense bar/icons. Will work on a custom theme later.
I will have time tonight to package this all up into a zip file to flash from clockwork. I am also going to try package the kernel into the zip.
I've just installed Blagus' kernel on this system image. All is well so far
because I am struggling getting the .zip working in clockwork V0.02 will be a system.img again, because I am much happier with the appearance and it has a few more things tweaked on it I want it out there now, not the current one.
After V0.02 there will be no more updates as system.img
Hmm, not sure what I'm doing wrong. Fastboot works, I've flashed a few roms and recovery works but I keep getting the same error with 'fastboot flash system.img'
unknown partition 'system.img'
error: cannot determine image filename for 'system.img'
I downloaded and extracted system.img from the .rar to same directory as fastboot.exe, as with all the others roms/recovery tool.
EDIT: May have found my answer. Is it necessary to wipe the existing system via fastboot (fastboot erase system) before flashing this system image?

-Corrected installation scrip
Download Link:
Baidu.zip - 156.19 MB
GAPPS_20132904.zip - 50.20 MB
boot.img - 3.77 MB

[APP] Flash Image GUI - Flash Kernels and Recoveries from normal Android mode!

Credits:
birbeck for the usual random java guidance, slushpupie for his previous java guidance, dodgejcr for extreme amounts of testing, and one_love_420 and shift for some great graphics!
testers: JT-, couga6442, happytweak and many others I might have forgot in the furry of three days I built the initial app from scratch.!
Thanks to SDX
Works with HTC Unlock Method (And s-off methods):
Tested after using htcdev.com's bootloader unlock method.
Please see the guides at the bottom of this post!
Background:
flash_image (bmlwrite) is an extremely useful utility for flashing custom kernels, boot logos (so far ONLY Samsung devices) and recoveries. This binary has made it possible to easily flash all these items and is used almost everywhere behind the scenes (i.e. in custom recoveries, packaged into a kernel /sbin directoy, included in custom ROMs, etc).
Description:
This android application, FlashImageGUI, is basically a GUI interface for the linux binary, flash_image provided by google in AOSP for loading custom kernels and recovery images onto the phone.
This app allows the flashing of kernels and custom recovery images in normal android mode!
Current Device Support:
Full Kernel, Logo and Recovery flashing: Samsung Moment, Transform, Intercept and Acclaim - the s3c6410 series of devices
Full Kernel (Anykernel and boot.img) Flashing and Recovery (zip file or image) flashing: T-Mobile HTC One, Sprint HTC One, HTC EVO 4G LTE, One S, EVO 3D CDMA and GSM, One XL, Droid DNA, Amaze, Vivid/Holiday, EVO 4G, EVO Shift, Google Nexus 4, Google Nexus 10, Google Nexus 7, Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S/Nexus S 4G & LG Optimus
Full Kernel (zImage) Flashing: Samsung Epic
Check application version for updates
Future Support:
Will continue to test kernels as they are released to ensure compatibility!
Install Directions:
Install process is the same as any other .apk. Download to computer and adb push or mount sdcard on computer and copy over or download directly to the phone. Use any file manager, adb, connectbot/terminal emulator to install.
My preferred method, maybe a bit technical: ./adb install c:\downloads\FlashImageGUI.apk
Download Locations
Market (99 cents!): Flash Image GUI
Release version (free): Flash Image GUI
Contact:
Any questions, comments, concerns, or issues, please post in this thread or send me an email! Thanks for all the help and support!
FAQ:
Q: Will this app support a marketplace to pick and chose kernels from?
A: No.
Q: Can I flash nandroid kernel backups?
A: Yes. Rename the specific image to boot.img and select from inside of Flash Image GUI. **Make sure to also load the associated modules or WiFi might stop working!

Feedback:
Please post any helpful feedback. I'm always looking to improve the application!
HTC Unlock - User Guides for Flash Image GUI!!
HTC Unlock - Users Guide for ROMs with a Kernel (boot.img file):
1) Unlock using the HTC method and gain root access.
2) Load this application, Flash Image GUI, onto the device, either through the Market or the link provided in this OP.
3) Download ROM .zip file to the sdcard on the device.
4) Open up Flash Image GUI, select Browse and select the ROM .zip file, downloaded to /sdcard in the previous step.
5) Flash Image GUI will provide a warning, reminding that the ROM .zip file will *need* to be flashed in the custom recovery afterward.
6) Flash Image GUI will index the full ROM .zip file searching for the kernel and kernel modules. Once located, the Flash Image button should be enabled.
7) Select the Flash Image button and Flash Image GUI will load the kernel modules and kernel from inside the ROM zip file.
8) Select reboot recovery.
9) Inside the custom recovery, wipe data as ROM requires and load/flash the ROM zip file.
10) Reboot to normal Android mode and all should work including WiFi!
HTC Unlock - Users Guide for flashing ONLY a Kernel (zip file):
1) Unlock using the HTC method and gain root access.
2) Make sure the selected Kernel is compatible with the currently loaded ROM. If not, this will result in a lot of frustration!!! See troubleshooting steps below.
3) Download kernel zip file to /sdcard.
4) Open Flash Image GUI, browse and select kernel zip file, downloaded/loaded to sdcard in previous step.
5) Flash Image GUI will validate the kernel zip file is contains the minimum required files
6) Select the Flash Image button and Flash Image GUI will load the kernel and the kernel modules from the source kernel zip file.
7) Reboot
Troubleshooting after Rebooting:
First step, when experiencing issues flashing is to RE FLASH the files again. Many times, re flashing again will clear up any issues. If not, see the issues/solutions below.
Issue #1: If the device hangs or reboots while on the splash screen, the kernel itself or the ramdisk packaged in the kernel is NOT compatible with your device!!!
Solution for #1: Have to boot into fastboot (or directly into the custom recovery) and load the custom recovery to flash a known good kernel or restore a previously known good nandroid backup. Command: fastboot boot c:\downloads\cwm-recovery.img
Issue #2: If the device hangs or reboots while on the boot animation, the ROM is likely NOT compatible with the kernel!!!
Solution for #2: Have to boot into fastboot and load the custom recovery to flash a known good ROM/kernel combination either from a zip file or restore from a nandroid backup.
From what I can see on the market this app doesn't currently support the T-mobile branded htc one. Can you confirm compatibility?

Good question. The issue is related to timing around Google Play's application update release process.
Google Play takes a few hours to "process" the update before it makes it available. I published about an hour ago so Google Play should make the version available within the next hour or two.

Official Stock Rom EUI 5.8 19s version [CN]

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7TImVKwZ-NXX2FoaVphdVBFZzg/view?usp=sharing
Android Patch Level: September 2016
Build Date: 14th Spetember
Bugs fixed:
Theme customization crash
VoLTE fix
Improved Le Store
You need to flash SuperSU 2.78 zip (15 September build) from TeamSpain TWRP after completing initial setup wizard.
Install latest Google Play store apk to get access to Play store. (Google Play Services already installed)
Open Downloads app -> Tap Top right Settings and set Data Connection to No Limit.
Done. Rom is very smooth and stable. Battery life is yet to be checked. Chinese 17s has stunning battery life. Will compare with it later.
Is there any multi-language pack like for the 17S?
Please share some features and feedback for this new rom. Whats new??
Running this now, can't see any visual difference from 17s but all is running good at first impression.
Testing to see if my notification problem with 17S is fixed now.. fingers crossed
Can we install it with Indian version?
Yes, you can!
May I know where's the official Rom from?
I try to check the CN official site for Change log but official webpage only have 017s version as latest version.

If you have TWRP, boot into your old ROM (Whichever you have currently installed) and copy the 19s update.zip file to the root of your SD Card.
Boot into TWRP recovery. Go to Wipe-> Advanced -> Wipe everything except internal storage This is important. Do not wipe internal storage.
Once the wipe is complete, go back to main menu of TWRP. Tap Install -> select the 19S file you copied and let it flash. First time during flashing, it might throw some Error 7. Go back and flash again without wiping anything and it will flash correctly.
Boot into system and make sure you Swipe to disable stock recovery. Complete initial setup wizard and install google play store APK from here. It is just regular apk install from file manager.
Download SuperSU2.78 from this link and flash it from TWRP recovery to get root access.
Comments about 19S ROM
Battery life is stunning. Standby time is also good. Great progress by EUI team. By the time this reaches perfection, another new phone would be out and we would be back to square 1.
Just a quick question,
Which recovery is working with Indian phone model x821
Whenever I am flashing a twrp, it is getting replaced with stock recovery
ok I've just installed this and my twrp teamspain 5.8 is replaced by stock recovery plz post a link for the twrp you used
i need it asap

Bahasa Indonesia
Bahasa Melayu
English (UK, USA)
Espanol
Francais
Portugues
Pyccknn (Russian)
Thai
Indian.
how's the fingerprint on this one? Is it good like 17s?
My experience with this ROM is good, I've installed it today without losing any data. So far no any force close and all the apps are the same (some were deleted in 016 and they didn't appear again upon installation). The method I used to flash it is described below.
Considering that everyone on this forum is at least installing TWRP and rooting their Le Max 2, to install 019s (or any EUI stock) without losing data you might want to follow these steps:
1) In SuperSU go to Settings and press "Full unroot". Also there select to restore the stock boot image.
2) Reboot the system.
3) Reboot again but in TWRP this time.
4) In TWRP, press Reboot to system and when asked to disable TWRP with the stock recovery, press "Allow disable". The TWRP will be replaced with stock recovery, thus you don't need any stock recovery.img to come at this state (this is why I think TWRP by TeaMSpaiN is very good because it is asking always to restore or not).
5) Copy the EUI 019s to internal storage and rename it to update.zip.
6) Reboot in recovery and select Update, without selecting clear data.
7) Once updating is completed, download the SuperSU 2.78 and place it to internal storage.
8) Reboot in fastboot and connect your phone to the computer and install TWRP 5.8 TeaMSpaiN.
9) After installation, reboot in recovery by the following command: fastboot boot TWRP_5.8_TeaMSpaiN.img
10) Once in TWRP, install SuperSU 2.78, xposed framework and whatever you need and reboot.
In this way I managed to install it as an update from a rooted phone with TWRP to a newer system with root and TWRP and without losing any data.
First impressions:
- old theme selection is back, it's better
- Harassment filter in Phone Manager
- Notes on desktop have been fixed. Before when I pressed "Stick to desktop", only the first line was shown in the note, now the full text is displayed.
- In Camera the "VIDEO" and "PHOTO" texts are back
- Still waiting for English language in User Manual and System Update.
- Fingerprint is as good as with 017s.
Looks like the EUI has improved a lot, it's becoming more mature and feature rich. Hopefully our Le Max 2 phones will last to see the system even better.
Many thanks sanke1 for sharing the ROM with us.
