ERE27 is just and update, it doesn't have a recovery.img. It does have a recovery folder with a install-recovery.sh file in it?
Do you want the stock ERD79 recovery.img?

No, I have it, I need the resulting recovery.img after update is done. ERE27 update patches the recovery partition. So recovery.img has to be extracted from the device.

That's a one package file. But, IF u planning on downgrade, u need to find a full-package file first. Than flash the one-package DXKC1.

HEY am sorry nobody gave a decent reply ,, the solution is actually quiet simple ,, u extract S5830DXKC1_OLBKC1_DXKC1.rar to get S5830DXKC1-S5830DXKC1-S5830OLBKC1_HOME.tar , then DO NOT extract further my friend, instead goto odin multi downloader 4.38 (as of apr 2012) and tick ONLY on one package,, then choose cooper_v1.0.ops as ur OPS file and S5830DXKC1-S5830DXKC1-S5830OLBKC1_HOME.tar as ur ONE PACKAGE file and click start

Mini Original/Stock Kernel

Does anyone have the original kernel?
I could be blind but in all the kernel and roms pages I haven't yet seen a posting of the original...so how would you flash back? Just SEUS?
If you do a serious mod you should always have the original ready....
search ST15i_4.0.2.A.0.62_(1251-0020).ftf for flash tool, that is the stock kernell
Are you sure? I thought that was the entire rom?
I upgraded to .62 then couldn't root so flashed .42 ftf and that was the entire rom.
Thanks
Just download semc .ftf, open it as .zip and search kernel.sin. Flash it via fastboot and you're fine!
this didn't work. I tried flashing just kernel and it flashed the whole rom anyway.

Did you extract only kernel.sin to the folder and flashed the whole rom?Maybe you have the whole rom on flash folder and somehow you flash it...?
What I have is a .42 ftf. So using the flash tool I selected only kernel.
Do you mean to open and extract the ftf? How do you do that? Windows has no idea how to open it.
Thanks
QeneX just told youRename it to blablabla.zip and then extract to some folder or right click open with whatever program you use (winrar 7zip etc) and extract files somewhere.Find kernel.sin and flash only that not the whole rom

Now I got it! That was the one vital piece of info. I was missing! I haven't renamed to .zip in a very long time...forgot you could do that. OK I just extracted the kernel.
Thanks thanks thanks!

[TOOL][18/04/12]FastFlash v0.1 - For easy .img flashing!

FastFlash v0.1
Hey!
just made a small tool for easy flashing of .img files!
you can just drag'n'drop the .img files directly onto the application! (must be in root folder tho)
Else you put the .img files in the "IMG" folder, then run the application
Requirements:
Any 2011+ Xperia model
Fastboot drivers
Windows
Cheers!
ps:
check my signature and click "2011 xperia firmware list", there you will find some stock kernels!
great work buddy bit how do i get tha boot.img of kernel ot can i use any img...?

Just download the kernel, which you want.
All kernels are in .img format, sometimes the file is just packed to a .zip file, then you need to extract it first.
This should help many new user which interested to flash a new custom kernel

Thanks for this. I thought original recovery.img would mean complete original ROM, seems this is only meant to be stock recovery. My bad!
In any case, how to flash recovery.img?
I did manage to get things working but some original system apps deleted earlier could not be restored. Do you have stock ROM?
Sorry i don't have stock rom for it.
How to install any recovery image:
Download it,
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxQt5ul5SqL6S21FRk1hQ2hfUUk/edit?usp=sharing
1.Then extract it and paste it in root drive of (C:/Android control).
2. Copy recovery.img and paste it to root folder of android control.(C:/Android control/recovery.img )
3.Then read pdf file attached in this , first read it carefully then do any thing.
