Listen to music on my bluetooth headset. - Droid Eris General

Does anyone know of a way to play music from the media player in the droid eris to my wireless bluetooth headset. I have found other posts that say you can with windows phones but they are using .cab files for there apps so I need one that will work on the eris. Please help I would appriciate it thanks all. I really like this site that I have found.

you will have to wait until the 2.1 update. 1.5 lacks BT support

I have the Droid Eris Running 1.5 and I use my BT to listen to my music all the time.
I did not know this was a problem for some. I just simply connect my blue tooth and listen to music. If there is something I can help with please let me know

I would have to second this.

I was thinking.. Are you sure that your Blue tooth ear piece supports media playback? It may not support that profile.

i play music via BT in my car with 1.5

Make sure that your headset has A2DP technology. And yes it is supported on 1.5

AD2P on Nike

Hello everyone,
I was using a O2 Zinc on WM6 platform before the current Nike. With Zinc, i was able to listen to mp3 songs played to my SE HBH610 one-sided headset but not now on Nike. I noticed though that the Bluetooth stack on these 2 sets are different while on Zinc, you have an option to "Enable Audio". Anyone, can help? Thank you in advance.
Alano
what settings you have try?
There is nothing much to try. Just either to delete this headset or set it as "handsfree".
There should also a option for bluetooth audio if the phone recognize a2dp on a headset.
my car-hifi has handsfee and bluetooth audio and i can check both.
A2DP for music works like a charm for me...
i dunno about the settings my bluetooth headset when activated automaticly takes over from the phone speaker when im using media programs, though not with all programs. im using an Jabra bt3030 headset myself.
There doesn't seem to be an option perse for A2DP, anyone got an idea?
I have managed to downloaded a 3-party software that allows me to hear on the same headset audio. This show that there is nothing wrong with the capability of the headset but the software of the bluetooth in Nike. As far as I remember, on WM6 of Zinc, it is using Broadcom BT stack. Anyone has ideas where to get this to replace the MS stack on Nike?
Weird - I recently bought a SE HBH-DS220 headset and it works fine together with both Windows Media player and the inbuilt HTC media player.
Nike is A2DP compatible as said in the phone documentation. I use to listen music wirth my motorola S9. When I pair the S9, audio is automatiquely routed to it.
I have a motorola S9 stereo Bt too and everything works fine, even games and tcmcp work without problems.
I use this Blue Tooth Headset. Reason ... no other Product use 24bit D/A Converter! Not much Headset, can match with this product!!! and ... i am a fan of old designes ... if you have a sunglasses ... you look like the first Napster Logo LLOOOLL

The S9s are a great set, but don't ever go running/cycling or get sweaty with them - they totally fail - which is seriously lousy for something thats "designed" for such usage.
I use the Motorola SoundPilot S705, which i brilliant.
I have an outtake for 3,5 mm. jack, and FM radio. When I turn the SoundPilot on, it immediately paires up with my phone.

[Q] Plantronics 240 (Audio?)

I have this Plantronics Explorer 240, that I have synced to Streak (2.2.2).
When I am playing games, I cannot hear the audio through the BT headset.
Even the notifications are not heard through the headset.
but, when I am on a call, and I play games, or get a sms>
I get to hear all the audio through the headset!
Is this a bug or what?
Or, is there a way, that I can source all the sounds to my headset (all the time, not just during the call)?
Explorer 240 is not A2DP, right?
thanks,
Sony.
Navigation or music?
Navigation (voice) or music:
can I get any of this on my Plantronics 240?
Please help - I have a trip planned next weekend! and I need either OR (both )
Thanks,
Sony.
All:
Help please!
Kind people of Streakville
You won't get media audio from a BT headset without the A2DP profile. You need a headset that supports this. When you get game audio while in a call it isn't working properly, the audio from your music player or game app should mute when you get a call.

Yes, agree about the A2DP part,
but, I am taking a different clue from this-
The game media if it is playing over my BT Headset - we can do something to get it doing that other times too!
can you (others) confirm what happens in similar case on your non-A2DP BT headsets?
Thanks,
Sony.
There's an app that will do it... called Super BT Mono Froyo I think iswhat its called that will solve your problems.... I didn't use it for long because I soon bought an A2DP headset

[Q] A2DP Bkuetooth music Transmision issues

Hi all,
First of all sorry for me English,
My question is, somebody here is using bluetooth connection to listen music? I get this table some weeks ago, and music quality is so poor. I had one IPAD 1 and I always use this way to listen music, I had no issues with IPAD and my A2DP receptor. This problem could be generated by hard or by soft? Do you know if we can get some bluetooth app to improve this situation?
Best regards and thanks in advance for your help
Issues
I agree the stock speakers are not that great. However most of the time I have listened to music/movies I have used my headphones.
I don't plan on using this for music much as I have an MP3 player for that, but mostly plan on watching movies.
I downloaded and use an equalizer app that helps out a lot.

I actually don't own any Bluetooth audio devices.
This might help, but without a bluetooth audio device I really don't know.

[Q] Listen FM radio through Bluetooth headset

I have some LG HBS-700 stereo bluetooth headset, but can´t fond the way to hear FM radio through it, the radio app only shows the option to hear by wired headset (that are plugged ofcourse) or via speakers....
Haven´t try with others headset but don´t think that do any difference
Some else with the same issue ??
The fm radio needs wired headphones because it uses them as an antenna.

Just not sure if this is going to be possible. My only suggestion would be to use an app such as Tune In Radio (or any app that will stream the station you want) and then BT Mono (if needed) to get the sound out of the bluetooth headset. It streams pretty decent over 3g.
Sorry if this is obvious and doesn't help.

Exactly! And trust me, been trying this for years and one of the reasons I got Photon.
With all my other phones, they had FM App I could get BUT, technically, it was just streaming (in mono) and not all stations were available. You still could not use BT, but speaker was available! Pandora was my new savior. EVO 4G the same.
Photon has build in FM receiver. Your not listing to streaming, you get a radio station just like your home receiver BUT it needs help with getting strong signal, hence you still need wired, but you get way more stations.
I have though, found some good stations on Pandora!
Thanks guys .. I will try it...
Also will try BlueMusic, I hear can work too

Bluetooth issues

I am running CM10 on my evo 4g lte. I am trying to connect my phone through bluetooth in my car. I have a kenwood kdc x696 stereo. My phone connects fines with bluetooth, handles call fine but I try to use pandora and play music there is constant crackling through my speakers. If anyone has had this issue and has found a way to fix it. I am about to return my stereo see if that helps, but I dont think its the stereo. I think its my phone. I dont need the bluetooth i can use a cable but having the bluetooth is just easier. Any help would be awesome.

i think i changed the settting the right way. audio through bluetooth still crackles through the speakers. I have decided to exchange the stereo for a different one. Everyone I have talked doesnt seem to know why. I guess we will see what happens. If this doesnt work I guess I will just to go using aux input.
I have this issue with just my wife's EVO, mine sounds great over Bluetooth, but hers has a horrible crackle, both stock JB, any ideas of what it could be?
Sent from my EVO using XDA Premium HD app
Sounds like a bluetooth module error. Calls on older bluetooth at least is mono but music is sterio so it is different. Try a firends bluetooth headset to test. Get your phone replaced. If it still breaks or pauses. I think it is a heat issue. Also try mono mp3 or .wav format.

Why don't you just use a AUX cable, I had the same problem.
Are you Rooted?
Have you tried a Factory Reset on your Phone?
