can anyone plz tell me how to build a rom from extracted files from stock rom
1. EXTROM.nb
2. OS.nb
i have these file extract from original rom WM6.0 stock with New GENE...,
and will anyone plz tell me how to delete some not needfull file from these file and rebuild the rom back to ruu_signed.nbh....
and another thing i have also done upgrading method by KAT user and successfully upgrade wm6.0 to wm6.1....
i just want to do it for my knowledge...

and onething more can anyone tell me what is ONBL version, and it show 1.07.000 after upgrading my gene with JTAG is their any problem when i upgrade my gene...

This is the ROM I was using,works splendid. Its for people who need to roll back,and lets face facts, a ROm by any other name is a ROM, especially when it comes to this Gene WM5 ROM.

I have upgraded my friend Gene in to 6.1
But 6.1 having problem of syncing with Exchange server (security certification blah blaha....).
This problem is with Microsoft itself and no fix yet. This has been discussed in many forums and try to find solution over last week, No luck
Finally I decided to go back to WM5 (WM5 doest have any problem with exchange server) and try to find shipped rom.
THIS IS THE ONLY LINK I HAVE FOUND FOR GENE SHIPPED WM5 ROM

What is the best tool to cook?
I tried Hypercore v1.01. Can't pass the first step. It always complain os.nb not found no matter where I put it.

I think with hypercore first you have to set the device name further instuction is available in readme document.
Secondly hypercore creates .nbf not .nbh so for final stage u have to use htc rom maker available in gene forum as well.
I have GENE or Original DOPOD 600 with S/n starting with 7. I loaded win 6.1 prof on it but there was some problem so i stupidly tries to install HTC India Rom 6.1 on it and no its is in tri-color boot screen with following message on it:
ONBL : (BLANK)
SPL: 1.28.0000
DON'T POWER OFF!
Pls, Update new image NOW!

hey try mobix guide for updating also not to worry as ur screen is in tri color mens u can update rom just read the post of wwefusion ....9.0 rom above this thread in that checkout commnets from zelat really useful ..

u can't update with custom roms now so u have to flash original rom.
because u don't have onbl and it shows wrong spl .without onbl,spl,radio u can't flash any rom available here.
try to flash these rom

ONBL 1.07.0000
SPL 1.07.0000
GSM 2.79.90
OS 1.7.0.0
It has Stock WM5 version 1.7.455.2 WWE ROM, which is made for India.
i want to upgrade my device with custom WM6.1 Rom, but before that i want to take back up of this ROM because, it isnt available anywhere even in XDA forum.
the other ROM available here is not correct version for my device to gives vendor ID error.
so is there any simple way to Take Backup of my GENE's original WM5 Rom.
i have already searched Forum but didnt find anything for gene.
so please help me if someone knows the process for taking back of ROM.

i can't flash rom now bcoz i see in my pc
error 300 invalid update tool
what maen that ???

1.have u done HSPL if not then u should have not flashed any rom with out doing this
2.if done do u get the tricolor if so just connect to pc with the usb cable see if u get the usb text if so just try flashing any rom for ur phone ie old gene or new gene
if none of the above can be done them sorry u need to take it to service
