Well I admit I did make a mistake cause I was excited and plus some people thought it couldnt be done. But its better than you , I read your posts and most of them are the most negative I seen around here.

I will give that to you. Been there...done that.
Here is the trick....everyone here promotes their own threads all over the place.
But they do it by placing the link in their signature :LOL

Rather than flipping the tiles on the home screen, I would love if they popped out from nowhere to fill the screen.
That would be neat.

thanks for response

Thank you for response and suggestion. Iam working on much larger project using Xbox halo graphics .....it will be much larger and deeper
game. That will be in the future.

I suggest throwing all WP7 related development(?) thingys in a separate development(?) section on the board.

Well since this is a concept of what windows mobile7 can do and it runs on most windows mobile WVGA devices like touchpro2 and Xperia 1X I put it here for people to download and enjoy. Also I had to make this game because of a despute I had with other developers saying if you put Xbox graphics on windows mobile engine it wont work. Well I ripped it and it does work with no lag.

Now looking into making a Crysis shooter but make it way better than this game. That will be in the future.

Oh dear god, your games are really bad, you know. Exact code copy, just another sprites. Maybe learn a bit more before making ANOTHER "gears of war, cod, halo" crap games? I don't want to be very rude, just make something, well better.

Hmmm I thought I just said that , but I guess your are slow. Well if your expecting I make a console type game and put it out here for free , your dreaming. I will however make games that are simple with peoples favorite theme's.
Can I download your games ? I like to see other developers creations as well.

Thanks so much! can't wait to try it.
Pretty cool. One thing to note is that you cannot jump and move at the same time on resistive touch screens. If you are the one developing this, you have more than enough room to create a faux mutli-touch interface by creating invisible buttons halfway between the two buttons you want them to reference. This will allow you to press down on two spots and get the desired effect. This is especially easy for your interface seeing as all the buttons are the same size and shape. Though you might have to make them just slightly smaller to avoid an overlap between the right arrow and the "left+jump" buttons.
Other than that, it's coming along quite nice. Obviously the death thing needs to be fixed... all that happened when I hit a goomba was I disappeared and still could hear myself jumping. But other than that, very cool.
creation
Yes I know that touchscreens on TouchPro2 and like phones dont support multi-touch well. I hope that future phones and ROMs support it better. Yes it took me a couple of weeks to make all the levels and the final boss fight with bowser. After all the hard work the game came off just the way I wanted it.
Too Tough
Ok so you played the game and at some points its pretty tough. Here some tips and tricks to help you out.
1) When you jump but just miss but hit the side of a plateform press forward button and mario can climb up the side of the plateform.
2)Some coins in the game are unreachable, its a trap so dont try to collect every coin in every stage.
3) When you fight final boss bowser stay on left side of screen. You see a platform in the middle of screen moving up and down. You faintly see a turtle in the background and when the moving platform hits the turtle a shell appears. Hit the turtle shell and it hit boswer. Boswer has about 20 hit points so it will be a long fight.
4)When you die its better to use stylus to press start to restart level.
Enjoy the game and have fun if you need any help tell me here or PM me.

He's just agreeing with me that this game should implement a false multi-touch for single contact resistive touchscreens.
The way non-multitouch resistive touch screens work, like you would find on most HTC phones, is that when the screen is contacted at multiple points, the true contact point is read at the center of the two points. That is to say if I were to contact the screen at pixel (4,60) and then contact it at the same time at (210,180)... the contact point would be registered at (103, 120). With that in mind, it is possible to implement an interface such that the intermediate contact points represent the combination of two buttons pressed on either side of it.

hey.
so your post irkes me. at first i was going to ignore it but here i am.
you see, not only do you lessen the work of the people providing "tweaks" (like you are disdainful at people's free work) but you ignore all the fantastic work being done here and just sweep it all under the rug as being "roll overs" and "simple upgrades." really? there are a ton of apps (widgets?) in this forum and the windows mobile general forum that are fantastic...and free.
yes, free.
and provided because people want to share. nothing more.
not enough for you? start developing.
bored of all the tweaks and changing of winmo 6.5? start making some art.
what do you expect with your post? people to run to you and ask you what specific things they can make for you? how they can appease your wants? how about next time you use someone's work, say thanks or buy them a cup of coffee if you can. but don't sit there complaining that what is provided free to you is not enough.
or even better, contribute.

Wonderful reply, don't think anyone could have said it better! I thank the day I stumbled across XDA and hope to someday win the lottery to repay all of the developers here who made me fall in love with first my diamond and now my HD2. I have huge respect for all that you guys/gals do and am eternally grateful for all that I have learned from you over the years.
Try not to let guys like this get under your skin and please oh please keep on modding!

where have you been hiding lately?
dudes - no need to cut him down.
But easy answer: no one here (including myself) wants to bloat up there awesome HD2 with apps that you use once and forget about forever, or apps that just don't do anything (ask any iPhone/Android user how many apps they actually use and how many games they actually use - and I mean use like a calender or something - the answer will be close to 5 and 2 respectively).
So for the awesome HD2 instead of making 2 million things that no one will use we make widgets, tweaks and customizations so that what we does use will run faster, easier access, smoother, and when our friends take our cells they will be immediately awed by the amazingness of the homescreen that radiates from an abnormally large screen

Lol that's so true... although I have been getting a little bit more lenient because now that I have the invisible lock (in my Geek Redesign link below) it's actually super funny watching people just look at the lock screen and not being able to open it. And of course they get so much more annoyed when I tell them that they haven't even unlocked the phone after they compliment the nice looking "home"

Thanks for listening!

I think I'd rather watch paint dry than play this game... wait...
edit: I think this game should be called "What constitutes a game confusion"
Sorry to hear that =(
It has gotten some great reviews and most folks seem to love it, but I understand it may not be for everyone. Sometimes it is hard to get a feel for a game without playing it.
Take care,
Paul
It's an original idea. That counts for a lot these days. If it makes it to one of the Android markets I might give it a try.

I would give constructive criticism, if any at all, when talking to the developer, but while among peers I'm more apt to be just out for the laughs.
As far as the game is concerned, I downloaded the free version from the market and I don't have any constructive criticism to give. I figure I am not in the games intended market, I prefer tower defense games, RPGs and puzzles, but to each their own...
I wanted to show this game to my wife because she paints. I downloaded the free version through the Android Market, but it did not work on CM7 with LCD density of 180 or 160. The assets seemed to be misaligned, and it was hard to drag things.
I'm on MIUI now witch is at 240, i'll give it another go.

Looks like Obulis, from over 4 years ago, now with icartoon candy & pet instead of a ball & pot...
Not that I mean to critisize what you are doing, just the whole iPhone 'look what we created!' attitude when they simply copied something else.
After using touch screen devices for 4 years when the original iPhone was released and being asked for the nth time 'is that an iPhone? they have thouch screens!' has jaded me somewhat
Thanks for the game though

You got to remember iphone has excellent marketing. Honestly windows mobile should have been over iphone but several factors come into play
1) They had Steve Jobs , a superb speaker . We had bill gates best programmer on earth , but average speaker.
2) Their marketing and advertising is off the charts , while all we had was stupid commercials or no commercials.
3) They have more people communicating with thier customers. Xda was found by developers who where looking for support when microsoft didnt listen.
So even though windows mobile is the best phone , when you lack marketing, support, and too many different handset , you lose. I still make free games in my spare time for windows mobile to show my support.
Hi! that was a fun game to play. I hope there are more levels. I liked the difficulty and i think there is true potential in making it even more creative. Keep on the good work!
Still play Tiny Wings Bounce by the way and trying to beat my score. I cracked the 300,000 point mark. I have a WVGA device now, an HTC HD2. Maybe if you were gonna add new levels, maybe have more than one piece of candy you have to feed to the monster? Also scenery as the wallpaper? Just a thought or two, but it was a lot of fun to play.
Thanks again!
Ok glad you liked it!! Actually I got some request to do more levels on this game and some people still want me to make an endless version of canabalt. Iam glad you liked it also there is supermeatbuy saws of death for windows mobile.
There could be one bug, but it could maybe be my device. Whenever i hit either the left or right arrows in the level, the white dot appears where i hit the soft button.
i know the white dots are supposed to be where I swipe my finger to cut the rope, but the dot appears after touching any of the soft buttons. i can try to post a screenshot or two once i get a chance to show what i mean.

Yes I seen it too. How its programmed is where your finger taps on the screen , there will be the white dot that goes with your slashing or cutting the rope. Its suppose to disappear in half second but the 1st dot created always stays until you slash again. I dont know why 1st doesnt destroy itself automatically so I made such to design the levels in a way that it doesnt effect the outcome of the game.
Iam glad you guys enjoyed it , and I hope more developers continue to make fun freeware and support windows mobile development.
thanks for your reply. Whe i complete level 2 and i hit the next arrow, the dot appears and the food from the string gets cut without me doing anything. that is the only example how the non-disappearing 1st dot affects the level design.

Yes I played that and saw it. The only way to get around that is just tap anywhere else on the screen to make the dot disappear. Its programmed to destroy itself but for some reason it doesnt respond.

Looking for "Natural Display Calculator" on Android 2.3.7 CM

Hey app devs out there,
I just looked for a simple but powerfull calculator via the android market. Found nothing but the "old school" ones.
Yeah, there are tons of calculators out there, one has more abilities than the other. But thats not what I am looking for!
I am WORKING with my windows7 laptop, word2010 and microsoft's math4. Give it a try and you will see why I love this combination that damn much!
I am studying machanical engineering, so I need some features more than others, but the biggest thing is it must be as written on paper, that is what word2010+math4 gives me!
I write the fractions just as I would write them on paper, right after x^4/y^2 and space it is shown to me not in that freaky oldschool style, like excel still does.
So, why not have such an calculator on android? That would give many high mathematic working people a chance to get rid of windows, get an tablet (for me still an GalaxyAce) with android and a powerfull but easy to handle calculator.
As I have no clue about programming, it would take me months just to get the first lines, but this job realy needs enthusiasts to get it the way I mind it.
So, if any of you here knows where to place this request, please help me out. There must be sitting some super brains waiting for another challange, this would be a huge one!

I also came across the same need. It is pretty strange that on google play there is no such scientific calculator app available. I mean, the "natural display" feature would really be usefull, particulary on big screen devices. Anyone knows if such an app has been developer since DaBigFreak opened this thread?

We thought the same, so we developed an app that does exactly this! Let me know if you have any feedback. You can check it out here:

Hi! and thank you for taking the time of answering my previous post.
I am really glad that your team developed an android app with natural display capabilities. I am going to give it a try for sure :good::good:

Hahahaha I definitely didn't expect to get a response from a 3 year old thread That's great to hear. You guys were actually part of the reason why we decided to develop this app - I ran into the same problem and was amazed at how there were zero natural display scientific calculators on the store, while the Apple Store had tons. We're continually updating the app at the moment and just added programmable constants! If you could leave a review that would mean a lot to me :fingers-crossed:

Cool! I am actually having problemas with my smartphone so i had only the time for quicky trying the app. Now i have resetted it but still it's not ok. I am currently looking for a new smartphone. As soon as i get the new phone, root it i will install your app and review it! :good:
Wow, its a realy nice working calculator, but I definitly need integrals and matrizes. So if you could add this, it will be realy usefull at university

Thanks! We'll add that to the list of features to be implemented. At the moment we're working on adding history and favourites which is turning out to pretty painful. If you could leave a rating or review in the store, we'd be so grateful!

Before that, I'd love to see integrals, sum and matrizes. Then you can essentially do anything you want or that could be done.
Next big thing would be to make variables calculating available. Not storing a certain number as A, B, or C, but let the calculator solve an non-number equation to a specific variable.
Right behind that, setting up variables with a value, so you can define A:=5.0, B:=2*A and the equation only has A and B, the calculator gives the results.

All the things you've asked for are being worked on at the moment, but understandably it will be months before they're actually implemented. At the moment we really need traction to increase the visibility of our app, otherwise there's really no incentive for us to continue developing if it's going to be buried underneath thousands of crappy calculator apps on the Play Store That's why reviews and ratings are so important to us. We do take into account the many features that our users request, they'll all sitting in a document, slowly being ticked off one by one
