I've taken the plunge and gone for the X10 for my wife's contract.
She wants to ask the good people of XDAdev is they have any recommendations for a silicone case in white. She's prefer it to be more opaque than translucent.
She wanted to get a white one, but only Orange UK have the white one and we can't get an Orange signal where we live.

I too am wondering if there is a nice silicone case out there that doesn't cover up the buttons as all the ones I have seen have covered up the buttons which will just annoy me I think.

My X10 fits in the leather belt case I had bought for my iPAQ last year, though it's a bit loose. However, I'd like something that'll give it at least some protection when it's out of the leather when I'm using or charging it. The cases you ordered seem like they might work well.
Well I finally found a silicone case that doesn't cover the keys up and it was only a5 quid from the bay. Hopefully it will fit ok.

It is awesome, very sturdy and you can still use the phone's buttons. It has the proper cutout for the mirror and also opens in the correct direction to make the keyboard usable with the case still on (unlike some of the cheaper ones).
Build quality is tight and the neoprene liner holds the phone firmly in the case so it won't drop out. The case is light but adds a little bulk to the phone, it's still the slimmest option for pocket carry and could take a hard shot from a turnstyle or counter with no problem.
Definitely cheaper than a replacement lcd!

$12 for the wing full-body is a decent deal, I'm just not sure how it will stick to the rubberized case of the wing and it does not give any crush/crack protection.

for eazy access to the screen
in your logic a armor case would also prevent some one from opening the phone to the keyboard

with that said my friend got the plastic body case for the phone and it was pretty much feeling lol
i have this case, nice fit, the matte metal is pretty slippery and it has slipped out of my hands a couple of times. one time the case popped open when it hit the pavement. also, when you drop it, the case will get silver nicks all over it. it is pretty strong, but will deform a little when you drop it, you can kinda bend and reshape the case to good as new. case also dents if it lands squarely on a corner.

Does anybody know if there'll be a pouch for the diamond 2 like for the diamond? Or simply will the Diamond pouch fit the diamond 2?

If you look at the Tracy & Matt unboxing video, its shows an HTC Pouch in the box. However, everyone so far has said it doesn't come in the box. Conclusion? I think there is/will be one, but it will a separate purchase like the with the D1.
I've been looking at the Beyza pouch for the Samsung Pixon. The Pixon has identical size stats to the D2 (well its 1mm wider), so if its just a pouch you are after, that may fit the bill.
Pdair are now selling a vertical pouch without belt clip, just ordered one myself.

It is a Velcro closure and the phone does not fit well. further, it does not have a hard side to protect the touch screen. I assume this is a general case by HTC. I bought this, but I will probably continue to use the case from my Trinity, the fit is the same but this at least has some protection on the sides.
In a word, Disappointed. I am not sure why they skipped the case, and then fail to offer a decent one at launch time.

I did not get one with this or the TD1 ... with the TD1, the original one went on stock very quickly and I bought it for almost £10!
While the fitting was slim and snug, I couldn't help thinking that the tight fit had potentially caused light scratches on the rear (front I was not bothered as it had the protector on)
On the day I sold it, I did a very intensive clean on it and noticed there were indeed scratches that corrosponded with the pouch.
It only takes a small bit to be trapped in the pouch - you then slide the TD1 in and that bit goes down with it
I still don't know however what I want for my TD1, at the moment, I am using the original Ipod velour case that was bundled with I think the original 20gb ipods!

Yes, I prefer this pouch too. Unfortunately the HTC designation of that pouch is not mentioned on their website (i.e. the HTC PO S390 as for the D1), so a purchase seems to be tricky....

This isn't going to appeal to everyone since they aren't bargin basement cheap but I've just got one of these cases delivered this morning. I went for Nappa cowhide black B on the outside and red suede leather for the lining with no belt clip attached and hidden magnet closure. The case itself looks fantastic, stiching quality is excellent (not a loose piece of thread visible anywhere) and overall protection where its needed the most (on the screen) is hard to beat with the wrap over flap on the front. It took a couple of weeks from order to delivery, but for a case which is made to your own specification, right down to having your name embossed on the front, that isn't bad. If you want a quality product made to you want it, and personalised, give them a go, I'd definitely recommend them. They do a range of different styles so if a fold over horizontal pouch isn't to your liking have a look at the other options.

Got the case yesterday, it adds quite a bit of bulk so if you're looking for a really slim fit then look elsewhere, other than that it is of good quality and has a nice professional look about it so is ideal for work. It also offers lots of protection for the device.

Figure I might share some of my items that I just received for my new AT&T GS2.
I always collected a few accessories for my phones and figured getting cases for this phone would be no different.
TPU Skin - Out of the 4 cases I got, I think this is the one I use the most. The fit is nice and tight and all the ports are easily accessible. Only issue I have is I hate pressing the volume key and the power button through the case itself but it's something I'm getting use to.
Rubberized Case - Not sure why the red one they sent me is different from the black but it still works. They have the nice rubberized feeling that I like but the fitment is a little off so you can feel the edges in certain areas.
Belt Clip - This is not bad of a belt clip for the phone. The TPU and rubberized case fit in it with no problems. Maybe a little snug but nothing really bad. I was able to shove the Case-mate into it but it is very very very tight. I might leave it in there a few days to see if it might stretch out elastics on the side but so far I like using it with my TPU case.

I use a metal bumper and you get used to it. It's not uncomfortable though.
Hmmm... I wish they had White Replacement Backs, I really want a white back for my black Note.

I guess you're referring to the back cover part and not the bottom where the microusb port is.
I love it, it doesn't add much thickness to the phone. the picture make it look like it raises a lot but it doesn't, it's where the back cover start to curve up. If I laid the phone screen side up, it would raise the back cover less than 0.5 mm. It raises about the same on the screen side. It adds about 2mm to the width on each side though, but that's where it matters most to protect the phone from drop and land corners first.
The black replacement cover really helps with the grip.
I have Best Buy protection plan, so I only worry about small drop that could scratch the silver corners and sides. This case is exactly what I need.

Does the rubber on the front make it too grippy to get the Note in/out of jeans pockets? I've had some cases where they use really soft rubber that grabs everything (like the Seidio Active), and others that have used stiffer rubber that seem to slide in/out of pockets better (like the CaseMate Pop).

If you're referring to the rubber on the Anymode bumper case, it slides in and out of pockets with ease. It's not a very tacky rubber and it's pretty stiff. I bought the red bumper from the same site. I live in Phoenix and received it in 4 days.

I received that very one 2 days ago. I really like it. Was looking for a bumper case as I don't tnink the phone needs a back cover. Couldn't find one so I ordered this one. The back is indeed crystal clear (so far) and shows off my soft grip well. The sides are tpu & offer way more grip than the original metal. All the cutouts line up & the buttons are easy to push. The clear back plastic is apporximately 1/16" thick. I'd buy it again.

I bought one of these today. I can confirm that the buttons work well. Here's a riddle: What is flexible on the sides, rigid on the back, and clear all over. This case! *rim shot*

+1 on Diztronic, good cases, used them on other phones before, and I have the blue TPU one on my D2 now. Not the slimmest of cases, but very well made and the button feel is perfect, better than naked.
I got the Pleson clear TPU case cause I love the look of this phone, but FWIW, clear cases just seem like lint traps to me. I found myself removing the phone from the case too often to clean out all the pocket lint that was getting sandwiched in there...kept bugging my OCD tendencies. And when it was out one day, you guessed it, dropped on my concrete floor in the basement and dented the corner a bit....GAHHH.
