Why are photos taken and uploaded with Facebook so small? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On the Facebook App you click Take a Photo.
Camera app loads up and you take a photo. Notice it says its 8MP on the left so its a massive photo
Photo opens back up in the Facebook App and you click upload.
Photo uploads, view it on a desktop and its tiny.
Apparently, this is 8MP taken with the Facebook App..

Well, I use 6Mpix 16:9 and it works perfectly for me! They drop in on Facebook at 720*405.

720*405 is 0.29MPix not 6MPix !
the inital question was, why the chosen settings weren't used.

I noticed it when I was sitting with a friend watching a match on Projector and we decided to click a pic of it from my cam. And you know what I was so disappointed and later he used his moto defy to take pic and it was perfect. The screen looked so clear that we could read the score as well of a cricket match.
Any suggestions?
Tap the screen on the point where it displays the tv. This will set the focus and exposure for picture.

I did that too but it doesn't have any effect.

[Q] Camera app with levelling?

Is there a normal camera app which uses the leveltool in android?
Why? because i see lots of pictures with an angled horizon, caused by holding the phone under a slightly angle when taking pictures. (including myself)
The only apps which use this feature are the panorama apps. It starts working from the second picture till the last. I'd like to see an app which has this feature by single shots.
thnx
Here's an example of what i mean:
Take a look at the waterlevel. It's not straight. I's diffiult to get that horizontal. A gridline with a beep would be nice. I noticed on my default camera app there's a tiny gridline. i can't see it in this conditions.

Well, that's weird. Do normal screen rotation works? on any standard apps (landscape/portrait). If yes, try going into the app list and clear the Data for the camera app and check. If not, brace for a factory reset.
If still persists, Sony service center.
Good luck. :good:
yes normal rotation works.
ich got the solution
Turn off/on the phone
