sorry mate but thats the reality
So where is one to get support for this rom after they close support here on xda?

Chain fire versus ATI drivers?

What the go?
I have yet to find any info on the ATI drivers? Do they do both 2D and 3D?
Cab or ROM only?
Any links?
where did you hear about the ATI drivers?

Artemids 3.0 is using them for his ROM and its super smooth
This is just good public marketing. These drivers are already included in our ROM's from at least version 1.66 and maybe before. The use of these is simply just using the factory drivers and not Cainfires patch. As I said good marketing to promote a ROM. I personally don't see much difference between the 2 drivers, but I think I will stay with the Chainfire just for the option to switch to anti stutter mode for some applications.
Remember smoothness can be effected by other factors such as cache etc. After all we are talking about 3D drivers here which have little or no effect in 2D performance which is what manila would be.

Well then, if I'm wrong then why don't you explain to everyone. You can look in your own device and see if the driver is there. I forget the exact name but contains 2d-z430.dll. When I asked you before about it you said you were using the drivers from 2.02. If I'm wrong then please by all means correct me and show us the difference.

No your right you don't have to explain. But when the question gets brought up, I will jump in. Just like the fake 1ghz Hack. I just don't see the need to misleading people.
For anyone who wants to know more just google AMD/ATI z430 drivers. Our LEO comes with these drivers.
I know it's not one file, I just used the one as a example. I did not say you had any problems.
If you have something more that is so great then why don't you share it? Oh maybe you are one of those cooks who doesn't like to share but like to benefit from what everyone else here shares?

i like your jump ins mate
yes sharing is KEY
agree with your post bobsbbq,
cooking should always show respect by sharing (at least principles and methodology) and explaining...kindly,
there should be no competition spirit and isolated towers here, what the hell ??!!
+1 bobsbbq

I don't think anyone on this thread said chainfires drivers were fake... they were talking about the old supposed 1ghz hacks.

Well firstly no one knows for sure if it can do multi touch...
If theoretically we did, the drivers would probably take years to write from scratch.

I think they can rewrite existing drivers (from neo, arc etc), but it's still hard.. so, will see if yes or not

yes, those phones have completely different HW but I think that MT drivers will be a LITTLE bit similar, so they can use something from that drivers and adjust it for our HW

Obviously not, or you'd know how wrong what you're saying is
The X10 will never have multitouch. Every thing that touches our screen is given an x- and y-coordinate, and our screen is just capable of combining one x and one y. The dualtouch hack can be used because we don't mind if one x- coordinate is used in combination with the wrong y; we don' t need that for movements like pinch zoom. Try twisting south to north with two fingers in google maps and you'll know what I mean; when your fingers cross each other at a horizontal or vertical axis, your rotation movement will be inverted

Me and Z believe that this is due to the drivers in the MT chip.

yes, I approximately know how dualtouch works.. but MT is not impossible with right drivers that someone has to do.. and I believe that our HW can support MT

Yep, for usb-host support, it needs to provide power to whatever you connect to it, and it doesn't do that at all, it's a hardware limitation.
