First of all, i want to thank to all the People on the XDA-Developers for getting me so far with cooking and for using there resources and files.
Here is my Modular ROM in Editions Pure, Geek and Black Media WWE with Acer 3.003c drivers and Windows Mobile 6.5.5.
So - what´s the Idea behind the Modular ROM?
Well, it´s very simple. There is ONE basic Module: its my Clean WWE ROM - Based on Windows Mobile 6.5.5 with latest Acer 3.003b Drivers including latest released Wi-Fi Patch - cutted down to only needed system modules and Acer software. I can update this Basic ROM more often without to rebuild all the Editions.
I am using this ROM as basis for making of Three Editions: Pure Edition, Geek Edition and Black Media Edition.
In the Flash folder you are gonna see three extrom.bin files:
extrom.bin.Pure, extrom.bin.Geek and extrom.bin.BlackMedia.
So when you choose the Edition that you want to flash, just rename your Edition file (example extrom.bin.Geek if you want the Geek Edition) to extrom.bin and start the flashing procedure.
Will there be a Sense Edition?
Well, it is possible to make one. There are some Manila 2.5.2012 cab´s floating around in the XDA-Developers Board, but i ain´t gonna make one.
Why?
Out of respect for Arto, our great Sense Master. He is doing his job very well, and i don´t want to interfere with him. So if you want a Sense Edition, download Arto´s Sense ROM.
Oh, i almost forgot it - i have a Family and Job, so i can´t spend allot of time answering the questions - once per day is possible. So please, have understanding for it - i am using my free time for cooking ROMs.

Geek Edition:
I added small customizations to the Titanium Surface, but the strong sides of the Geek Edition are installed Tools. Here are some Pictures of the Geek Edition:
As you can see on the Pictures, we have Black theme, custom Taskbar, allot of Tools: EzInput 2.1 with SIPChange and EzInput Menu, Sort Start Menu Icons, Shortcut Maker, CHome Editor, Advanced Configuration Tool, ING Change Font, NoData in Roaming, and so on...
In Office Package is Adobe PDF 2.5 LE with ReFlow, HTC Calculator and Notepad.
Installed Programs are: G-Alarm Free Edition, xTask Manager (small Icon on the Bottom Right corner), Total Commander, Opera Mobile 10 with FlashLite Plug-in, FTPCe (Utility to make FTP connection to the Device if you are missing USB Cable), Nitrogen Black, TCPMP Black, Home Screen Customizer, Reset and Wi-Fi Toogle, Acer Agenda, S2U2, and so on...
After the Flash procedure reload the theme in S2U2 Settings to look like on the Picture.
So if you want Geek Edition, don´t forget to rename the extrom.bin.Geek to extrom.bin and start the flashing procedure.

Black Media Edition:

So, the Black Media Edition have the same Programs installed as the Geek Edition, but not the same Tools as you can see on the Utility Folder Picture.
After the Flash procedure reload the theme in S2U2 Settings to look like on the Picture.

Caution: Before flashing check if you have folder on your SD Card named 2577. If you have it, then either delete it or take the SD Card out before you flash. This folder breaks the installation of extrom.bin, causing for the device to not function properly.

Missing WiFi in Comm. Manager - Solution 1
If someone have problem that WiFi is missing from Comm. Manager here is temporary fix for this.
It looks like that when you use Opera or some other programs that use WiFi - if the program crashes, the WiFi is missing in the Comm. Manager.
That is because the registry string for WiFi was altered.
Start the installed Total Commander. Tap on Plugins > Registry.
Go to "[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\State\Hardware]" and change the WiFi string to 1.
Now you have WiFi option back in the Comm. Manager.
Or you can download the attached cab file and run it.
If you are still facing this problem then go to > Start menu > Settings > Connections > USB to PC - and disable the advanced network functionality.

Missing WiFi in Comm. Manager - Solution 2
For some people the Solution 1 doesn´t work, so i made the Solution 2 - this is DEFINITELY working.
But after every Softreset the WiFi will be automatically ON. Just go to Comm. Manager and set it off.

- Is Dutch language pack included? if not, I looked ad the dev tread of eziput 2.1 but couldn't find what I wass looking for(do I need to instal packages or packages ext or something else?)
- Is slide to end working on your device? On my previous netnerd Rom I couldn't hang up without unlocking it manually first (it was quite enoying... tried everything though and al the settings where ok)

First completely power down the device. Then push all this three buttons together: Power, Volume Down, Camera and wait for LED to start flashing orange.
Connect the device, install the drivers and flash the ROM.

Did you also rename the .bin files like instructed in the opening post?
@brainmaster, I using the ROM for 1 day now and everything seems to be going great. The only problem I run into sometimes is that the screens keeps waking up. Sometime it doens't but other moments it just keeps on waking up, turns of screen again and within 30 seconds in the screen turns back on. This goes on in a loop. I haven't got any clue how this is causted or affected. Any ideas and do you have the same problem? Or else I must reflash

edit: I think the problem is the program xtask manager. Tried without and seems to be fine now. Think S2U and xtask interfere. Did like it though (but back to arkswitch again)

The rationale behind this ROM was to make it clean and stock-like. It was made for the HTC Touch Pro and is my interpretation of what a WM 6.5 ROM would be like if HTC had designed it themselves (minus Manila/TF3D). Only HTC applications (or applications which have been included in official HTC ROMs) have been included in this ROM, and any third-party applications must be installed by the user. No weird and wonderful customisations have been made to this ROM in keeping with the stock-like philosophy. Everything that you might expect HTC to include in their official ROMs (with the exception of TF3D) has been included, in addition to standard WM6.5 features. Another goal in this ROM was to keep it as bug-free as possible and thus the absolute latest and usually buggy versions of applications may not be included. I have used the latest bug-free versions of applications.
This ROM is similar to Da_G's clean ROM, except it is customised for the Touch Pro, and includes more HTC applications than his ROM. These include the Comm Manager, Calculator, Album, MP3 Trimmer, Power Off Warning, Connection Setup plus others. .NetCF 3.5 and Opera Mobile browser are also included in this ROM. This ROM is UC enabled.
Note that this ROM is for a generic HTC Touch Pro and is NOT customised for any particular carrier such as AT&T. The keyboard layout is for the Touch Pro, so if you are using a Fuze please download and install this file found in post #2. If you are using a Fuze and wish to remap the PTT button, please install this cab. This ROM has been tested extensively and undergone many updates and bug-fixes. Having said that, if you find any bugs, please don't hesitate to describe them below.
Lastly, for your information, this ROM uses the 1.14.25.35 rilphone.dll. Enjoy the ROM!

Known Issues
The task manager is no longer accessible by a single click. To access the quick task manager in the homescreen, press the top right corner once to get the drop down icons, then press and hold the top right corner until the drop down icons retreat. This obviously changes as soon as you begin to play with it, but after a fresh install, you should be looking at 330mb of Storage memory and 105mb of Program memory free.

I have chosen not to include TF3D in this ROM because in my opinion TF3D2 is too buggy, and TF3D1 is not any better than the WM6.5 titanium interface. If a newer version of TF3D2 is released in the future, I will consider cooking it in at a later stage. However, currently one of my major aims with this ROM is for it to be completely bug-free which is at odds with the inclusion of TF3D2.

Sorry, I don't have a cab file for TF3D1, but for TF3D2 look here. Another reason for not cooking TF3D in is that it consumes a LOT of memory, and this is a waste if you're not going to use it (I personally don't think the tradeoff is worthwhile).
I like it without TF3d.

Me too. If someone likes TF3D, he can always find a cab and just - install it. The same goes for any other application. For example, I'm using SPB Mobile Shell3, and I will of cource install that app as soon as I flash this ROM.
READ THIS FIRST POST COMPLETELY BEFORE FLASHING!!!
ATTENTION: There has been 3 reports including mine of a random probably device specific issue/bug, its the "windows mobile logo hangs and eternal soft resets issue" as i call it, this IS NOT A ROM RELATED BUG, this might or might not happen to you, nether me or hdubli can predict this, if it happens to you go back to ether your stock rom or hdublis 23506, we havent found any solution or even what causes it, bear with us guys were trying to track this down.
NEW RELEASE BETA 3 IS NOW ONLINE
This is beta 3 guys so enjoy, this rom was cooked to have a HTC HD2 feel to it, just try it, you wont be dissapointed.
HERE ARE THE FLASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Download 'ACER S200 Beta 3.rar'
- Extract 'ACER S200 Beta 3.rar' where-ever you choose(I prefer the Desktop)
- Navigate to '(wherever you extracted Acer S200 Beta 3.RAR)\ACER s200 beta 3\1. Flash'
- Double Click on 'ACER_EUU.exe'
- Click 'Next'
- Click 'Continue'
- Click 'Yes'
- Click 'OK'
- Completely power off your phone
- Once phone is powered off hold down the 'Camera' and 'Power' Buttons until LED indicator starts blinking
- Once LED indicator on the front of the phone is blinking click 'OK' on your computer
- Wait until 'ACER_EUU.exe' says 'Finished'(It should take 15-25 minutes)
- Once it is done flashing, hold 'Power' button on phone until it vibrates

How to change backgrounds to still or animated:
1.Install any kind of reg editor.
2.Go here HKCU\software\htc\manila
3.In that registry look for a string that says "AnimatedBackgroundPath", click on it and its going to show a path "Windows\AnimatedWallpaperPath\" here add any of the animated wallpapers located in "windows\Animated Wallpapers".
4.Same thing for still WVGA wallpapers.
5.Then disable and Enable manila.

NOTE:The rom dosnt look like that, that how it looks on my device with the stuff i installed after flashing, if anything goes wrong with the rom, flash back to 23506 or a stock rom.

Also, I have been wondering if you could adapt the tf3d bar to go to other programs than what htc has used. IF you like a different music player or photo viewer for instance. My main uses are the programs tab, the internet tab, and the weather tab. Home and contacts being obvious as well.

I think this can be done by some registry changes, il have to look into that but im pretty sure it can be done, il let you know as soon as i find them.

Bluetooth performance wont improve unless Acer them selfs update there bluetooth drivers, we'll have to wait for an official update from acer them selfs, btw im not having problems with bluetooth what so ever.

Who had the stupid idea of those ugly buttons. Main reason for not flased Hdubli's rom are those. And I definetely like them on top.
If I had the option to revert to 21857 rom I would proceed (even not the original).
But you are my heroes guys. Keep on.

If My S200 connected the handfree and standby for about half hour
the bluetooth handfree will have lag,echo.
I have tried to connect the handfree to my little mobile Samsung M-628.
Everything work fine...

You could say so, i pointed him to the right OEM packages that were needed, and so he manage to make it work 98%, there are still some bugs like SMS arnt working, mails cant be open and so on, but im looking it into these problems to fix them, so no worrys, il keep you guys update, unless hdubli fixes them before me xD.

it's what I use on my neoTouch
skinning later may be the easiest thing to do, although I do hope they have a very thin bar for the bottom bar that fits wvga better. I don't like how it interferes with tf3d's slide bar. But really I just can't wait to get this up and running.
Also, I still need a layman's breakdown of backing up my current stock ROM. I read some of what hdubli already put out, but if it is possible to simplify it, it would be a great help.
And when this 2.5 ROM is finished, I'd love for a very simple step by step to flash it properly. I think flashing is probably easier on the f1 than it was on the f900, since I don't believed they figured out how to flash from a sdcard. But I have only done it about 3 times so far, and want to make sure I've got it down before I screw it up.

Actually, after reading more into how to backup a rom, by dumping and reconstructing, this doesn't seem to be the thing for me to attempt. I don't seem to be able to find any programs/utilities that will handle this as well. SO................
Would any of the experiencenced people here be so kind as to actually reconstruct and make a factory rom for the Acer s200 available? I am too old to learn too many new tricks, and while I am a capable dabbleler, I am by no means capable of being a professional. So knowing my limits, I can only stand on the street and ask for help.
By the way, if you need the stock rom to reconstruct, and can tell me how to dump it on my device, I would be happy to send it to you.

How to Flash your Acer NeoTouch s200
- Download any of my roms
- Extract "my roms.rar' where-ever you choose(I prefer the Desktop)
- Navigate to '(wherever you extracted "my roms".RAR)'
- Double Click on 'ACER_EUU.exe'
- Click 'Next'
- Click 'Continue'
- Click 'Yes'
- Click 'OK'
- Completely power off your phone
- Once phone is powered off hold down the 'Camera' Button and press the reset button on the right side of your device until LED indicator starts blinking red.
-Connect it to your computer
- Now follow the onscreen promts instructions(sometimes they pop up sometimes they don't)
- Wait until 'ACER_EUU.exe' says 'Finished'(It should take 15-25 minutes)
- Once it is done flashing, hold 'Power' button on phone until it vibrates, enjoy the new life withing your Acer s200

Hey man, have you tried to extract OEM CorePlayer from Toshi's TG01 ROM? And what's the difference between 1.00 drivers and 2.00 ones?
The difrence between the 1.00 and 2.00 oem drivers was explaing in the beta 3 thread...and about the toshiba tg01 dump, il look for it and dump it and see if i can get the core player to work.

I was one of the fortunate ones who flashed Hdubli WM6.5.3 28002 beta 3 with 2.00 drivers without any problems, I remember the battery life was very bad with 1.00 drivers, is it still the same?
Any chance you can build a rom with 2.00 drivers also?

Very excited to see another ROM come out for the S200. I see you're using the 1.00 drivers for stability. I have been forced to do the same, both the OEM 2.00 and Hdubli's ROM cause multiple reboots, hangs, etc. I am currently using Beta 3 with 1.00 drivers edition.
I've seen in the "Ask" thread that people trying the Phillipines/Malaysia ROM recently put out are having better success. Have you been looking into this? Might this be the base for v.0.2?
My rom will be based of 1.00 drivers guys, i wont use 2.00 drivers as they are way to unpredictible and unstable, i might try using the improved drivers from the 2.00 oem drivers e.g battery/sound/camera quality, im gonna cook a test build to see if it works.
Singapore Rom has been most stable for me
I wanted to add that of all the official roms tried, the Singapore one (English, supposedly only for Singapore, HK, and Malaysia) has proven the most stable for me. No sound, sleep, reboot, or GPS problems. No freezes of the Windows screen on opening. 'Have no idea why this Rom seems so stable. It is all in English and looks just like the other stock Roms. Thanks for the tip. Picture quality is definetely improved. I just tried it on my european S200 and works fine (by now).
I'm on stock 2.003_EN rom, there's no 2d acceleration if Landscape mode is turned on - have you found any solution to this?

Hi searcher, im a little bit disappointed with your rom. since your previous rom i couldn't make it work on my atom. tried to install it but after installing the extrom it goes black screen and nothing happen. I need to remove battery, press camera and put back the battery again to access bootloader and install my previous rom using DSUU, thats the time I could use my dead atom after installing your rom.
This is not the first time i encountered this problem, i've been trying to install it for how many time but still failed. Your previous rom is also giving same result.
Would you mind release an installation method not using SD but using DSUU, might be that work.

DSUU? I want to release it with DSUU, but I can't added 12byte header because I haven't any utilities to add it

yes, I'd make two ROMs, one rom clean like official rom, the other like now (more 3rd party apps)

well after 36hrs of use, i find it very stable and it never crashed so far. battery looks good, i tried it for around 52 mins of continous call . and it is fast and responsive.
however, there's few minor bug/s (tolerable for me ): Can't remove the "getting started" in the default home screen, some MP3's were skipping to the next song after a few seconds of playing (via WM player or at the default home screen) but afterwards it is ok now.
Overall this is an excellent rom. kudos

Yes, Getting Started is built in on titanium , it can't be removed
MP3 Skipping? problem on WMP Core (I tried to swap it with origi8nal WMP, but it still can't be fixed )

As you know WM6.5 development is in progress and new builds have less and less bugs, more stability and maybe some new features. But the general looking is not different too much.

23635 is a newer build. (23635: date February 14 2010; 23223 :January 28 2010; 28232 February 10 2010)
Moreover, Bikertibi has kindly prepared the 28223 build for prophet.
If you mean 28232, maybe. I'll see....
25005 is very stable and fast on my device like 23635. I'll try 25006 ....

I, myself like the ROMs as clean as possible, but any suggestion is welcome.

The sensivity for the touch screen is very slow in this version. If I use the hard keys on my prophet its working fast but if I try to select or start an item in the file explorer i have to tip on the item for at least a second or more. Happens very often. This is a no go for me.
Edit: The new version A works like a charm! Great work, Babak!! Testing the rest of your roms functionality now
The first post has been updated with a small patch for the download C, (The one you have got before).
After installing the cab, the touch screen will be so sensitive and there will be no delay at all.
Downloads A and B (UltraClean) do not have the problem (It has been resolved in-situ).

I'm a Chinese, so I need Chinese display support for reading and writing in Chinese.
I prefer the fast speed of English ROM, normally I use a English ROM with a Chinese Language package, never failed before.
This is my first time meeting this kind of problem, after installing the Language package, it can't be displayed correctly as before. It seemed nothing happened.
I will also try to contact dioxda2 to get a possible answer.

But i would like to setup the new wm6.5 lock with SmartLock or something similar. how can that be done?
if i install SmartLock 1.7E or 2.0F and configure it, the phone doesnt boot anymore. means its stuck at the Windows 6.5 Babak00000ed bootscreen and flashes every ~10seconds. seems like it cant launch the wm lock.
only hardreset helps then.
Any suggestions or how to´s for that?

Hi dkena,
Just tap and hold the camera "X" a few milliseconds, it'll respond.
I don't have Resco Photo Manager to try. Maybe the same way?

I usually use HomeScreen's lock option to run the Windows native lockScreen (So I didn't include SmartLock here. Maybe in future...)
Anyway, I've just installed Smartlock 1.7E, and it works without problem, trying all options, one by one.
Maybe it's an incompatibility in your other softwares.
just did another hardreset to check that
its working if i install smartlock right after the hardreset!
gonna check if it keeps working.
