extract OEM-vx.xx.rar anywhere and copy the OEM folder into the kitchen
extract SYS-xxxxx-xxxxxx.rar anywhere and copy the SYS folder into the kitchen
you will obtain this folder structure
c:\Kitchen_NIKI
c:\Kitchen_NIKI\OEM (here are apps and drivers)
c:\Kitchen_NIKI\ROM (here is the XIP)
c:\Kitchen_NIKI\RUU (here will be the final rom)
c:\Kitchen_NIKI\SYS (here is the OS)
c:\Kitchen_NIKI\Tools (various tool from the forum)
c:\Kitchen_NIKI\BuildNB.bat----->start the kitchen

To start cooking just run BuildNB.bat

I've installed the kitchen just to see if it works but I get two errors.
1. The buildos in the tools section gave an error. Solution copy the one in the base kitchen rom folder and paste it in the tools section. Error gone.
2. While building the OS I get the error: The file 'temp\dump\cgautil.exe\imageinfo.bin' already exists.
Hopefully your build 19949 is a real 19949 build!

it is the latest beta build
it seems very fast but highly unstable
i will try to make it more stable and finish the benchmark
i will post the results
Alright guys, Im a noob at this is there any guide i can follow to create a rom? that would be great. I no the risks of bricking my device done it a few times with my old XDA mini and my Axim X51 mid. Ive made a very basic rom with no modifications to the files. Really fast though haha.

In ROM you have the nbh file
and in tools\HTools\ you have all tree nb files(2x splash.nb and 1x os.nb)

I heared from valvarin that some new ROMs/Builds will cause some troubles with the Radio, dropping down the signal extremely! Can you confirm this with your kitchen cooked ROMs?

i dont know how many peoples yoused the touch flo,
but a reson because the touchflo was deleted is the speed..
you can install other tools as touchflo. but people that doesnt youse the touchflo is only a decreasing for speed
(i dont knwo if i was clear)
but when i see that a lot of people would have touchflo i can cook a version with touchflo

In Settings>Personal>Large Start Menu - even it is enabled start menu states still small

The beginning cooker I am has only a question : do you think you'll release a french version of your ROM ? (or do you know where I could find a french 20270 SYS ? Finding 040C MUIs fiting the different SYSs is not so easy... ).

First of all a short story about this ROM:
As a Charmer owner I tried all available WM6/WM6.1 ROM in this forum. All are great, but I wanted to find something like the WM6 Essential edition, but based on WM6.1. Yesterday I decided to cook my own ROM, so I selected ChrBeck's WM6.1 WWE ROM (Thanks for him!) and tried to remove all 3rd party software, but HTC applications.
I also created my kitchen (based on Molski.Biz's Wizard Kitchen - Thanks for him ).
Now, it's only a bunch of scripts, but I'll put together with a short howto and publish it here.

- Upgraded to .NETCF 3.5 (performance increased significantly)
- Added .NET Configurator
- Registry tweaks regarding performance (caches)

- Restored original png/gif files (splash screen, default_stwater, blankbanner, etc)

- Restored original Arcsoft MMS Composer because the integration of the new version failed.

Instructions:
Download and run self extracting exe. This will create a directory with the ROM image and the required tools. Run Update_ROM.bat and follow the instructions on the screen (if any).
Remember: You have to flash your device back to WM5 before using this upgrade!

Interesting thing happens:
Installed .NETCF 3.5 in version 0.2 and selected as the default NETCF provider. The result is a significant speed gain!
The plan is to integrate NETCF into the ROM...More comes later.

I know that almost every ROM includes TF, but I wanted to create a clean and fast version of WM6.1.
Maybe once I cannot optimize my ROM any longer, I'll integrate such kind of tools.
PS.: Nice to hear, that you using my ROM on your charmer...
well, still found two things from chrbeck's rom - ugly (and unusable due to missing smartdial) dialer and calc skin
but it's good rom - and a good work, go on with cleanup

As WM6.5 "released" to public, I will focused on to get WM6.5 running on charmer, so 6.1 pure development stopped for now. (but not forever )

1) Bluetooth is not receiving from other PPC machines!

OsKitchen version with Iolite support.
This is OndraSter's Kitchen which after my asking supports Iolite.
Here is the kitchen with Iolite's sources(exept OEM and EXT packages, to keep filesize small). So you need only to add these packages in respective folders, and of course the SYS and XIP that you wanna build, according to instructions given on the original thread:

I am too. But this is in some cases more flexible, and ervius doesn't update his kitchen for a long time and as he said is retired. So I was thinking to move on another project, and this kitchen seems really nice and alive.

First, i am spanish and my english is not very good hahahaha
I try to cook my Wm 6.5 ROM for Mega (Touch 2) following this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=691789
But i had some problems or dificults:
- I want to add radio 3.54.25.25 (But extesion es .nbh and osKitchen only admited .nb extension)
- I add some cabs but some give me errors :
Cab Nodata --> Appear in menu >> programs but don't find nodata.exe
Cab FIM,the same that nodata
Cab to hide SIM contacts give me a popup error when my touch is start (After i introduce my pin code)
- I like to custom my icons, distribution of carperts/icons of menu >> programs (For example create carpets: internet, tools, games,etc). Custom icons of touchflo appear in start screen (Weather, Today, Mail, Conctacts, etc)
