thanks a lot for your ROM and Kitchen. Will give it a try and compare to my own, maybe I switch my kitchen to yours.
I don't know if its really a bug or if i forgot to enable a package, i still have the black screen if i disable the htc messaging client.
Maybe i just forgot the Arcsoft MMS package or the reg-entries i included to arcsoft mms do not work.
Solution for that is also on my blog.
Look at the kitchen but be aware that i will update it to osKitchen 1.26 if this build is stable

Hey inselstaat,
Great idea and of course great work inselstaat. Now it is really easy to cook a own rom, for dumb people like Thanks again.
Edit: Fixed by myself. The file \Ressources\Tools\implantxip.exe was not found, so the osKitchen had an exception.
Looks like the implantxip.exe was detected as a false-positive by my virus scanner (nod32) and were deleted.
So for everyone which had the same problem like me: Add a exclude entry to your virus scanner for this file and it works
I went to your Blog to download but in vain because it was hosted by Rapidshare. Can I request for a mirror please? Bee Gees and Walu mirrors are fine for me.
Do you have English instructions? At your blog, I don't seem to see any.

english instructions can be found in the file, i added "EN_manual.pdf" to the uha-file. But this is only a quick guide, if you have any CABs you want to add, then use "Convert - Convert CAB file to EXT package" and follow the instructions.
@tamoinod: for 99,9% i'm sure that there is no virus inside. i always use a virus scanner (avast) and i had no alert yet. please look also on post #4, i think this will be your problem. may i ask which virus scanner you are using?
@all_ had anybody the problem, that a beta was expired? a user on my blog hangs on the first boot-screen and i thought i removed the beta-expiry-keys on 23563.
@all #2: For this version of Cookies Hometab the lockscreen seems only to work with WM 6.5, in the CHT-thread is said, that we should not report bugs and hope that everything is better with a next version.
@all #3: If anybody has ideas what i can do with my rom, then pleas write it (everything but startmenu sorting or other icons )

Downloaded 23544 kitchen.
When loading project, error prompted missing EXT\TOPAZ\COMMON and \EXT\SHARED. Create ROM button is greyed out, so I can't even cook. :-(

Okay, added the necessary rom and managed to cooked the rom. Too bad it is not WWE and without Manila 2.5 and many apps.
Went back to 23563 and selected everything, other than the xx_cs packages. Managed to get past and got stuck with timebomb screen. Couldn't go further.
Did some googling and found out that shell32.exe needs to be patched to get grid of timebomb problem. Took shell32.exe from a Rhodium rom and cooked again. This time round, I managed to get through.
Going to try out disabling those packages I don't want tomorrow. Time to sleep!
The Nox.23554.kitchen is build with Ervius Kitchen. It was also great to use but osKitchen is better I think.
The kitchen in this thread was a completely new dump and i really don't know why there is a beta expired. You can also try to use build 21901 for testing (i'm using this build) if you have the same problem.
Today and tomorrow i won't have the time to look after this problem, but i will do it next weak. You can also find a new build in Da_G's format and import it directly. Or download a newer sys-build and sort it into the kitchen as you have given the folders of 21901 and 23563.

with 21901 no problem, I create file RUU_Signed_0410.nbh [not flashed yet ]
with 23563 I have an error e no create file .nbh
I change only language and excute file timebomb_fix in "\Sources\SYS\23563\Common\Shell”.

The error is: "Platformrebuilder has crashed due to some incompatible XIP or OEM Modules. Please try change your modules selection and try again"
These errors in platform rebuilder happen, when anything is not in the right place i think.
Please try to extract the kitchen once again and try to build a 23563-rom without any changes. It SHOULD work because i tested it a few minutes ago.
Maybe somethink with the extraction went wrong, here is the exe for the timebomb patcher.

i noticed that the app.dat files in the positionfix package are inverted for 0409 and 0410 code languages.
And there are some localized reg keys in the OperatorPKG rgu. (Example: signature replace argument is in dutch)

T-mobile does not care about devices they sold us. They are not supporting WM5, almost useless in the way they have implemented them in your devices. So we expected no support for WM6. We made it ouselves. Two people in the main team, lot of others providing support, feedback and knowledge. That is called the community. And finally, after lot of problems, we have working Windows Mobile 6, better, more stable and faster thany any previous WM5 ROM.
ROM MANIFEST
Vlodeck and me, nocturne.op.15 - we are the main team. We are creating this ROM in our free time, for no wage and with no support from vendors. We are providing this ROM "as is". We do it as good as we can, but you will find bugs. Report them and we will try to fix them in the next ROM or provide help. But we cannot take any responsibilities for it. If you damage your Charmer, do not be angry - you made something bad. We will never release anything that may damage the machine, we will never release something that is not working. It's just your fault - and it was your choice to try it.
Simply take what we provide or leave us alone. Or make your own ROM as you wish - we will be happy if you will find our rom to be good enough for your cooking.
HISTORY and FUTURE
We were not the first who released WM6 ROM for Charmer. chinese xBeta was the first. We are sorry that we cannot provide full credits of chinese stuff, but we do not understand even a word on their pages But our WWE rom was built primary on the chinese one. Vlodeck had enough patience that he started to translate CHS rom to WWE using Altavista Babelfish. We have discovered soon that it wasn't the right way.
Now, the ROM is working. Based partialy from Wizard, partialy on Prophet WM6 WWE roms, mixed up with chinese xBeta parts - it works. We have changed the main source ROM completely few times - that's why there are also major differences between versions. Different sources are bringing different problems. But we are strictly focused on performance and stability - on fast and stable ROM, you can easily build your own custom ROMs, filled with junk as you wish.
That's also reply for questions "will your rom include...blah blah" - no, it will never include any 3rd party product. We are not able to control every dll of sources, but we will try to keep this ROM maximaly clean and fast. Performance tweaks will be included, but only tweaks that may not harm any part of system. We will make everything possible to allow all 3rd party products work without restrictions - so no hardcore system tweaks.

Just working stable versions will be listed. Some of them will never be released. Numbers will not be complete. Do not ask for missing numbers - those are devil numbers, ROMs that were not OK... You need at least bootloader ver. 2.xx to upgrade to WM6.

To upgrade rom just extract rar and run RUU. It would be nice if you had your charmer cid-unlocked but I think it will work on locked devices as well. This method does not work on Vista. If you have it, proceed with ANOTHER FLASH METHOD.

Battery fix - enables USB charging:

4) press and hold power button until message "Device will be off..." appears

ANOTHER FLASH METHOD :
If you have the chinese WM6 rom, downgrade to some WM5 with official RUU, then:
download this:

Once you unpack it, please put the nk.nbf (charmer wm6) into the Shelltool folder. Open shelltool.exe. Click Get Rom info, then click Extract OS. Wait until its finished and you'll receive a file called 8004000-OS.nb (save it for later).
Download the xbeta Chinese WM6 rom : http://rapidshare.com/files/27671349/2007-03-26_Charmer_WM6_CHS_OS_msyh__plus_consam_xBeta.exe.html
Extract it and put that 8004000.OS you saved before in the XBETA directory. In the itsutils folder of xbeta rom you will find enablerapi.cab and cert_spcs.cab. Copy them to your device, install them on Device Memory, then soft reset.
run xbeta.cmd and choose the 8004000OS.nb file to flash (you should be connected with AS and have your radio module turned off).
When the screen goes green and the flashing is finished make a HARD RESET!. Press Camera and Voice Dail buttons (hold them). Put and hold the stylus in reset button for 2 seconds. Release it. Wait until you see some white fonts on black screen. Then release those 2 buttons. Push the green dial button.

nice work. tho a few things ive noticed, the buttons control panel contains settings to map 6 buttons (5 plus 1 to hold) when it should only contain 5 (4 plus 1 to hold) and the actual buttons on the phone, contacts and calender are set to start and ok, also are unmappable using the cpl. also youve left in the wireless lan cpl, when the charmer doesnt have wifi!
I know I have, what's the point in deleting wifi icons? More work and how is it supposed to make the rom better?

Hi there,it seems to be a good work but.. I cannot update my charmer.All things go fine but after the automatic reboot my charmer boot up with the prec. Rom and seems only to have performed an hard reset.
Any suggestion ??

you have to extract the nb file from the nbf and use for example awizard to flash the rom.
gosh.. Please send me additional info in a pm if you can.. I've never did that , and i'm afraid to do something wrong.

Although, the T-mobile customisations that I used to get on hard resetting the previous ROM, they still start, and the keyboard still looks yukky, no colours, just plain white with black text, will try to change with the keyboard enhancement provided in the first thread.

although i also needed touchflo which might be missing this time because its gone paid and oem might not be available for touchflo 2.7 .
p.s. integration of s2u2 1.01 and s2p 0.40 current versions into rom will be hot.
also many intelligent rommers might be making this by the time i am saying ,that will ease up my job to only downloading ,but my idea is to keep external rom free this time because then one cannot change dialpads and comm managers skins easily as it spoils device integrity.

many methods exist ,what could be the best easiest way for making oem. asking the experts here.
The easiest way to create an OEM Package is using ervius package tool... (I've attached it below).
I'd check with A_C whether you can integrate the S2 apps within your ROM as some devs are fussy about that sort of thing...
For TouchFlo, you could integrate the free version of FTouchFlo from before it went comercial, or you could implement the original HTC Biotouch setup.

Sorry to go OT and be totally unhelpful, but what plugin is that below HTC Home? Is it a rlToday theme? I've been looking for something just like that, that has a few calendars.
What's the plugin with calendars? Looks like a rlToday plugin, but spent forever looking for one like that.
its modified rltoday clicking on it can display full calendar but i have disabled it and although it changes date everyday and R you see below it is prss reader for news rss feed ,
you have to uninstall any other rltoday before you install today.cab given here then you can latercopy themes as you do in rltoday or instal rip theme and put back in current rltoday anyway you like it to be.
The best for package creation is ervius package creator with MSCEInf (see atached file).
For S2[...] packege look into my attachment file too take it in your OEM folder and select packages in BuildOS (after replacing graphics if you want or/and the initflashfile.txt).

With the initflashfiles above, all of the files are copied into the default directory. Because of the way S2U2 and S2P are coded, the files can reside anywhere, and so some of the lines in that file are unnecessary... I can create a modified one if wanted...

thanx ,me havin exams and alot of home work too lets see if i could build this before 17 may or i'll have to delay for more than 2 months by that time more advanced forms of s2u2 and s2p will come up.

we are in the same boat then ,but during exams our performances double in alternate areas ,actually i completely forgot how did i design rotorx back then now newer methods like neokit etc make it easy but i cannot concentrate properly like then.means multi tasking thread in my cerebal cortex seems to be working low this time unlike then.
another easy way coming in my mind was to take clean wpa2 cloudyfa rom and assing it to pick cabs from extrom and installing like default devices do but where in registry do i have to make that chage to modify autorun remains unknown due to lack of concentration.but for that i would need cloudyfa to give me permission to go ahead.
The cabs are all installed through the config.txt in the dump.

well thats called reigniting my sleepy ideas for better ,cloudyfa's clean edition config.txt says "EXEC: \Windows\SDAutoRun.exe " means i would have to now find config.txt of nvid wm5 to find what it used to do. so would try. well old prophet rom used to have autorun.exe ,install_tsk.exe and setup.exe well the rest are the cabs so my guess is something invoked setup.exe which then made run autorun.exe which then inreturn installed all the cabs (or viceversa)which were present on that extrom drive , but which was the file from mains drive who did this and if it was config.txt that means in my case command should be changed to
1. "EXEC: \ext_rom\autorun.exe"
2. "EXEC: \ext_rom\setup.exe"
3. none of the above because i am making a mistake which could be clarified by experts.
also \ext\rom needs to have proper name as in clean edition its named to \extended_ROM2 leaves me confused because some previous places it was named as \ishadow or \Extended_ROM\,it should have some default name leaves me confused.
main files gives error log of neokit "ImgfsToDump 2.1rc2
Cannot map file F:\OUTPUT~1\ROMDUMP\imgfs.bin" for nk.nbf of JAMin_WWE_213923_2139123_022021_ship.exe means it wont share files other that ext_rom which means deadlock to me as i will never be able to open it ,need reignition again.
it also would leave me with option to move back to UC clean option with oem packs where i was in my first post.

the original idea of the skin came from the RR33 HTC Sense like dialer skin(but it only skined the dialpad)
Ok we need some more info:
this dialer is only portrate (can rotate but no dialing in landscape)
this dialer has video dialing (there is no conference call)
this needs to be cooked into a rom to work as it should.

what phone and did you cook it in?
there needs to be a shortcut to phcanvga.exe (amarullz app) in start up folder
great skin, but can't install it. the reg file into phone canvas dir says no valid registry files and when i copy all filesi in windows folder my phone became the wm default dialer. how can i install this skin

Thats because it is a PACKAGE FOR ROM COOKING. There is no cab as of yet. If you look at original post check out these bold areas:

EDIT: I went ahead and:
1) Compressed all images and all images inside phcanimages.dll
2) Signed all .dll files (wouldnt install without signatures)
3) Cabbed it all up
5) Edited phcanrc.dll to remove scrollbars
5) Uploaded to my FTP with direct link There is also the uncompressed unsigned cab there which is 14MB compared to 8MB
HERE is the link. I can host for a few weeks, but will most likely remove after that. If Someone needs the uncompressed version let me know and I will sign the dll's and upload again the cab.
DONT FORGET: When installing you need to kill phcanvga.exe and cprog.exe first
EDIT2: Also, I remove phcanoverbmp.dll because most ROMs have this already and it will mess up custom taskbars if overwritten. You can get it attatched to this post.

i'm using the htc raphael with own rom (latest htc, added/deletet packs, gen.y manila), shortcut is there...even with original muis i have this problem....

Let me know if it works ok. I tested on my own cooked ROM installing over the LEO 2G dialer without issue. Just want to make sure it works ok for others(although I am sure there will be a few who "just can't get it" )

Let's say I nearly got it... Unfortunately, I got my custom taskbar nearly wiped out. However, you can see my specs in sign. I'm running Amarullz's WM6.5 position fix (not Showcase, but previous version with no task manager function), which works perfectly even for Resco2010.
I'm attaching screenshot, I've installed modded Amarullz Rhodium dialer, aluke's rev.6 taskbar (and position fix), if that matters. However, thank you so much to both creator and cabber, dialer is even opening Sense contacts and automatically got Italian translation.
EDIT: sorry I changed the screenshot (cause it contained personal infos... ), so I pointed out the issue with red boxes.
Guess I didnt remove phcanoverbmp.dll after all. I will update the cab for others. You could uninstall and reinstall to get taskbar back(after I update the cab which I will do now), or go to windows and delete phcanoverbmp.dll(assuming your taskbar is a cooked in feature), and it will return to the file build into ROM.
The other issues I believe are due to the phcanvga.exe program(it shows the SIP menu area in a fixed size or something). The empty area on the right was not like that when I tested it, is that always there?
EDIT: Reuploaded cab without the phcanOverbmp.dll and am attatching the file to original post for those that need it.

I wanted to leave a little something before I back out of XDA and WinMo for a while (Lets try not to discuss reasoning at this time). I have uploaded my kitchen, which I have been using for several months now for anyone who likes the Chrome ROM look and feel. I have made it as easy as possible to cook your own ROM without too much thought. There are several builds included as well as a ton of choices to include or exclude.
I am not going to be real technical about this stuff, and am relying on you (the users) to help each other with any minor problems. I have tried to put everything into the simplist terms without misinterpetting. I will be checking in now and again to help where I can, and possibly update some items.
The kitchen is based on (or derived from) Da_G's ErviusKitchen releases, so thanks to him for the original idea and his great thread which has taught me almost everything I needed to know. Also, how can I leave out the other great chefs here and the people on the sidelines whom without I would not have made it so far (TPC, NATF, AtomAng, NRG, Programatix, Shep, Noonski, special thanks to Hilaireg, and anyone I may have overlooked). If you get lost, I would suggest searching either that thread or the new build release thread found here. There is much info there that will help you in your quest to have the best ROM possible.
PREREQUISITES: (Before you begin)
• The kitchen will need approximately 1GB of free storage space after extraction. Best to keep it on the root of your drive to avoid errors, or at least make sure there are no spaces in the title of the containing folders. This can cause some errors with certain executables.
• There is a readme file attatched as well as included in the kitchen for the extraction process and cooking process. The following is a slightly modified excerpt from that README (which you should look at before beginning):

In order to save yourself from unwanted problems it is best to exclude your kitchen folder from any virus detection software.
It is also recommended that you change folder settings so you can view hidden, system, and all other types of files.
It has been a while since I had to make these changes, so I do not remember exactly how it is done, but here is an example thanks to Endosurf.
[B]Tools--> Folder options[/B]. Click on the [B]View[/B] Tab. Select [B]Show hidden files and folders[/B]. Unselect [B]Hide Extension[/B]. Unselect [B]hide operating system files[/B]. Then click ok .
You may also need to turn UAC (User Account Control) off in the control panel. Start --> Run type in msconfig. I think it’s the tools tab has a thing to disable UAC.
All kitchen executables should be run as administrator to avoid errors. Turning off UAC should help to avoid these issues.
• If you have an issue, I suggest first cooking one of the preset ROMs and going from there. It is most likely something that you have added or excluded that is causing you trouble.
• Although I would never charge for my services, a small graditude for my months and months of labor would not hurt

• You did exclude from virus software before extracting?
• Which Build?

Rom boots fine, seems to work great, can't get past 2nd page of windows live when setting up. then after I'm up and running for awhile I get that problem w/all contacts tab freezing manila and when I open a text it reboots manila

You really should post your question on the thread, rather then speaking to JMC in a PM..
Why?
Because what you may consider a n00b question may help others down the track as well And it isnt fair to burden JMC with supporting everything to do with the ROM. Some of us might have the answer. Some may have a different approach to things that may improve on everyones knowledge and benefits us all
I really wish this kitchen was never released... Now I'm going to be tempted to develop a ROM.. And I've really been avoiding this... That's all I need, another time wasting IT thing

Ok....I installed my apps and it's freezing at the contacts tab of 2.5.....maybe it's the G-Alarm? when it updated, i checked the graphics boost or something like that?...

can't get it to play notifications or ringtones... that's probably causing my other issues.. too
EDIT : FOUND A LOT OF PEOPLE HAD ISSUES W/23518 AND DUSK TASKBAR MODS CAUSING THE ABOVE ISSUE.....TRYING TO UNINSTALL WITH SKTOOLS.. IF THAT DON'T WORK, HARD RESET AND START OVER.. I DIDN'T CATCH THIS SINCE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER INSTALLING THE DUSK CAB....LATER...

Sort of, I haven't installed Dusk taskbars and the ringtones seemed fine, however then I couldn't get to the facebook tab w/manila rebooting.
Hard reset and started over, ringtones work again, but in manila settings it says corrupt ringtones, but I change them fine in wm settings? Then I changed my theme to classic blue, rebooted and it hangs again at the all contacts tab?
On all my builds, the Chrome Theme bottom bar is green. That's why I changed to Classic Blue.
I also scanned the Kitchen for "Thumbs.db" and found like 2 of them. They are created if you look in the folders and there are pic files. I deleted them but still have issues.
After reading I found that ringtone issues are sometimes caused by HTC Volume.dll and changed icons from taskbar themes and 23518. Maybe the Chrome Theme is corrupt? As for the reboot at all contacts, maybe that's related. Thre reboot of manila only seems to happen when all my other issues work...lol
I've turned everything off when cooking. I've cooked a lot of roms previously with Da_G's kitchen and learned the hard way..
I also had an issue w/Windows Live not getting past page 2. But that works fine the last 2 hard resets..
Long story short, the above are the issues i'm having. At this moment it's the "All Contacts" either rebooting manila or freezing manila. Also Opera 9.7 hangs at the white screen pretty much all the time. I tried not cooking in the Leo Opera start stuff, no change..

I felt a desire while walking thru some phone shops in Manila and I could not withstand a 430 Euro offer for a HTC Desire

My WM6.5 ROM, based on 2.54, with build 21911, EXT from Leo 3.01, Sense 2.5.2012 and maxSense 1.05 and Facebook tab V1.5. Kitchen is OSkitchen Zero created by Airxtreme
When you flash the ROM you see most widgets, panels and clocks from maxSense on the 3 screens. It's up to you to design your own screens. Check out the maxSense thread for more information. Several themes are available as well in the MaxSense Custom Design Collections thread. Informations and help for the Facebook tab can be found in the Facebook v1.5 thread.
Of course, as usual with my ROMs the main theme is Japanese. If you don't like it, well there are other ROMs around her
Other graphic tweaks are from bignadad, millski and swiss420
I didn't cook a ROM with Japanese keyboard, font and Softbank Internet and SMail support for the public, if you need it, just tell me.
The kitchen is available as well, but the maxSense packages are not included. maxycy wants to keep the project under control. If you want to cook your own ROM with maxSense, you have to contact maxycy by email.

Some notes:
LongPressEndKey is not cooked in, because I use keyboardconfig.
End key assignments:
Double press => lock the device.
Back key assignments:
Long press => brings up MMTaskManager
Double press => ends current window (not only close window, but really close the application)
Home key assignments:
Double press => rotate screen

Known bugs:
HTC Sense email tab: softbuttons not working correct (opening camera instead of mailbox,)
There is a bug in maxSense v1.05. If you access the email tab thru the HTC Sense overview tab, the softbuttons are mapped double, causing them to work wierd. But if you access the email tab thru the alert widget, it is working correct. See attached screenshots!

Wanted to wait for MaxSense v1.02, but it might take some more time before it is published.
Will make some more tests with the current version then I will publish the ROM. But there are some glitches in MaxSense v1.01, as discussed in the MaxSense thread.

Ok, finally I published my ROM with MaxSense v1.01.
I wished the v1.02 with the additional gadgets would come faster, but I guess there is some bugfixing necessary.
Included packages for Full and Light version will be posted on the weekend, no time right now.

If you talk about the Japanese Handwriting Input, you can download it from Ookii.org as a cab.

I can only guess that your security level is set too high. I have around 500 visitors every day and none of them complained ever about virus, malware, spyware or anything else harmfull.
Maybe its like with the HardSPL and the AV programs. Its just a false warning or over protection.
I guess you can add my URL somehow to the trusted sites list. I have no Windows 7 so I do not know how to do it unfortunately.

I used Win7 and have warning about from Windows. I think it not serious and I try to enter website of Beegee. I downloaded rom cook and install it. Everything well except batterry drain not test now.

Thanks for downloading and testing my ROM. Let me know about battery drain and about memory. I see some memory drain problems on the ROM and I am not sure if it is the 21907 build or the maxSense.

thanks for this nice rom. max sense works quite well. i have just one problem with the calendar widget at home screen. It shows no event at all.
Battery consumption look good, just lost around 10% over night.
edit 1: after installing an other lock screen and reboot again, calendar works. After one more boot not worked agian. Than I boot again and it worked. Seems soemthing is quite strange
edit 2: if I press the End Key button long time I get the message: Shortcut Target: Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename.

My HTC TD2 used only half a day. I think it a big problem of your ROM. 21095 and 21097 are the same.

Thanks for the feedback, I will check the calendar view problem.I have never seen the problem on my Topaz. Which lock screen application did you install?
For te long press end key, I know the problem, I forgot a package. I will check on the weekend, right now I am on a business trip.
