Headset with remote control - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
Does some one know any good wired headset with remote buttons (play, pause, forward and next buttons) .. like HPM90 which also shows the title of the song on the LED screen.
I know mw600 could do these things but I would also like to have a wired headset to do above remote functions like HPM90..
Thanks

No replies, does this mean there are none?

I've heard that the MW600 bluetooth headset doesn't show the title of the song on the LED display but you can use it to control your music from Mediascape. I think this is only with the X10 and it can be fixed with a software update. I don't know any other headsets that can do this but hope this helps.

Just got the MW600 bluetooth headset 2 days ago... for some reason only one apk "music player by social soft " seems to be able to work with the AVRCP commands ( forward, backward, stop, play) of the headset...really weird I find.. anyway it is a really good piece of accessory to have with ones xperia x10 ... really good battery life...

I have a MW600 and have found that controls work, however LED does not display the song title.

the mw600 is capable of displaying music titles and caller ID, it's the x10 that doesn't support them... just to clear up any confusion.
if any of you are previous Sony Discman/MiniDisc owners, i really liked how their high end players came with an LCD backlit remote. i really liked the jogdial joystick and the overall look of the green backlight.

Good old days with MD players.

I have the MW600.. it really a great accessory.
really look for next firmware & Android update that should fix the compatibility with X10.
the battery life is great too.. 9 hours of music playback, 11 hours of talk time and 500 hours of standby is really great.

I've also have playback control problem for this:
The Mediascape:
The three playback control buttons only work in video, the buttons don't work for the music.
I have another music app (tunewiki) and the playback controls work for that.
Hope the next update fixes this problem!

is there any headset that is white and have mic?
i don't need remote control function.
Something like the iphone head set

[Q] Phone -> Car Speaker "adapter"

Hi All,
My Peugot's built-in radio/CD player has broken, and I just want to interface my phone and the car's speakers. I understand I'll need some sort of amplifier at some point along the chain.
Apparently this is a strange request, but I want to listen to content off of my Atrix in my car through the car's speakers, and I would rather use the phone's excellent touch screen interface rather than a head unit with a load of crappy push buttons and knobs etc.
I could maybe cope with a volume knob... but that's not essential.
Basically, something like this but for non-iPhones and therefore not costing £200:
http://www.oxygenaudio.com/o-series/363-o-car.html
I had a look in Halfords and the conversation with the Sales Nerd went a bit like this when he showed me what he thought I wanted:
Me: What is it?
Sales Nerd: It's got a CD changer!
Me: A CD changer... a CD changer? I don't even own *a* CD, let alone many CD's that would necessitate an entire changer. What am I gonna do with a CD changer? Are you mental?

So, I don't own any CD's (nor - FSM forbid - any tapes), I don't carry small USB pendrives with MP3s on them around with me, I don't listen to radio, I do take all my media/GPS/calls through my phone: are there any "head units" with nothing but an amp and a 3.5mm jack input ("aux") or A2DP? Surely this should be cheaper for Kenwood etc. to make?
I remember this thread where the OP configured his jeep to use a Nook Color as a multimedia interface and used an active EQ connected to the amps.
craigbru said:
In addition to the Nook, I'm adding a Hifonics HFEQ. This will allow me fine control over the signal being sent to the amps. I can switch between inputs and use it as the main volume control.

~Chef
at the mo i use the Moto cardock and a tape2phono adap to connect up in my van (Wires everywhere ). But amp could be pain in the butt if your not fond of wiring. For not much more money and probablly less hassel than that amp u can get a new headunit with builtin inputs Phono/usb/bluetooth that your phone could jack upto. My old Pug (306gti6) was Standard iso connectors so headunit would be straight swap. Also my old headunit had rear phono connector so all wiring was behind the dash and phone would charge via the dock,
If you wanted to be posh you can connect via bluetooth and control you phone via your headunit and you phone goes into the headunit. But never used this method yet.

Hope this helps a lil
You need a head unit that can stream music from your phone or media device via blue tooth or via USB connection

Power Amp EQ Settings

I'm lost when it comes to EQ settings, any help would be amazing.
I'm using power amp to stream music via blue tooth to my car stereo. And have no idea about the settings

Moved to correct sub forum.
This depends very much on the music listened to and your ears as no one hears exactly same as others.
So to start you want the car EQ to flat so as to not interfere with EQ settings on PA, now sound is produced in Sine waves.

The left end is the lower frequencies sub bass going up to the right the higher frequencies treble.
That's my setup on Winamp and i listen to dubtep, this is very easily changed to listening material Low-Mid-Treb
Hope that helps.
So my bass, treble, and mid on my head unit should be set to 0? And just adjust my sound from my phone?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
Yes as otherwise you'll have 2 EQ's on the go so set car to flat, you could always use the car to increase bass if you have a sub setup etc.
If you noticed in the images they line in sine my 3rd slider was topping but should have been slightly off.
I don't have experience using bluetooth car audio, but I find its better to send the audio flat from the phone to your car stereo when using 3.5mm aux. Your car stereo will have its own EQ that is built to take flat audio as a source. Unless its not adequate then you can try an EQ app on android. But from my experience EQ apps do great for helping earbuds sound better but shouldn't be used on a full size sound system that features its own EQ.
Yeah could do that but most in car stereos the same as allinone stereos tend to just have presets.
Also PA has a nice punch especially on slight amplification prior to out.
This sounds good on my skullcandy hesh
Hope it works for u
reply
Try decreasing all the buttons to zero..thn check increasing them one by one till u find when its working...
Njy gud music

Well, I dont hear the difference. actually, NC modes button isn't working, and the 'Set noise cancel Level' bar is not in proportions. I used it on a Xperia Mini Pro(SK17i)
here's a free app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.liberty.android.noisecanceller
and btw:

I really wish this could be done, but physics says no. The wavelength of all but the lowest pitched sounds is too short for the phase shift to work with a microphone anywhere but in the back of each headphone, and even then cancelling high pitches relies more on passive blocking than active cancellation.
(Wikipedia: Wavelength says 17mm-17m for the human hearing range)
So to implement this even for constant noise you would need to sample the sound accurately, then adjust the phase shift and volume differently for each ear, which would have to be done manually. And it would only work until the frequency changes.
Sorry to bring bad news (and yes, I did register just to post this)

I don't know all of that, but can I install this mod on CM10?
i use MDR-EX310 but still not hear the difference too
I have a pair of noise cancelling earphones (EX 33NC) which i happen to get with the Walkman A844 music player. However the noise canceling doesnt seem to work no matter what. If anyone could help me out.

HTC RC E190 headset

What do you think of the HTC RC E190 headset? Who has experience with it in our HTC EVO 3D?
i was considering writing a review about this after buying a 3 Pack in purple for 15 bucks at Pennywise.biz

there alot of mentions of this headset online but no real information. its an excellent headphone. there isnt distortion for almost all music. great bass and treble. it can be very loud but its greatest strengths are that its very durable, and has as much isolation as anything can offer.
It does have a Mic and it picks up everything. sounds reasonably good for the other person.
given that it has 3 Buttons, REV Pause/Answer FWD
On the HTC Evo 3D it sounds great and will give you the kind of sound you expect from 50-100 dollar headphones. after a year of using Klipch S4i's i find this better or at least the same concerning sound.
Center button behavior on the EVO 3D with the HTC Music app is the ability to answer calls and hang up, or call on voice search, and to start music, pause music, double tap to make a call immediately.
REV to restart the song or go to previous track, Long REV rewinds.
FWD to skip to the next song, Long FWD will Fast Forward
that is ALL it does. as far as i know this behavior cannot be changed at all. these behavior also occurred thru multiple ROMs including ASOP, Gingerbread, ICS and JB. and the Google Play Music and on PowerAMP and a few other music related apps.
i Also tried it on other platforms.
Ipod Nano, only center buttons does the usual center button related things. REV and FWD are not detected. it also does this on an Ipod Touch.
Samsung TMO S2 T989: the REV and FWD buttons change the volume, does not change tracks, the Center button pauses and starts, double tap skips, triple tap rewinds. this is the exact behavior of the S4i on Iphone and i prefer this to track changing.
HP Touchpad CM10: the center button pauses and stops, other buttons do nothing
HP Touchpad Webos: stops and starts music.
that is all the testing ive done on the headphones, hopes it helps someone.

Nice, shame i hate in ear buds. Ive always found it interesting the way that the buttons do different functions on each makers device.
The Headset profile has always eluded me when going to mod something.

It works pretty well with music but when it comes to play movies or games there's an annoying audio delay .
Any solutions to fix this ?
Thanks
There is no solution. Every bluetooth accessory has a delay

i thought it might have been just some bad encoded files when i noticed this issue but looking back at other files i never had problems with i didn't have this issue until after i did the update. wish i knew the exact delay then i could adjust for it on all my files with bs player you can adjust audio offset.
It's an android issue. The delay is anywhere between 0.5 and 1 second. Custom roms like cm have corrected it I believe.

Thanks, I've done some research and yes it seems to be normal .
I was pretty disappointed since i bought this for playing movies and games , i wasn't aware of this issue :/
I can adjust the audio offset with my main player Diceplayer but it's just not convenient because that delay seems to varie, even on a same movie .
I tried a few video players and i couldn't believe, i have no issue with MX player, i can even skip forward or back, no lag, synced like it's wired lol
Dunno why it works, tried with mp4. avi, 1080 mkv so i'll just use Mx player when using my bluetooth speaker
Streaming over lan makes the videos lag a lot though..
Netflix , games are out of sync except a few ones
