11 pin mini USB extension lead - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Accessories

Anyone ever seen one?
I have the HTC YC A300 connector in order to play music through the car Aux-in cable and charge at the same time, but it means 2 leads trailing through the car. I would like to have a single lead between the Touch Pro 2 and the YC A300 connector (hidden in the centre armrest).
I bought a mini-USB extension lead, but it doesn't fit as its not 11 pin.
I've tried searching the net but no joy - anyone else found anything suitable?
I've also considered the 3 in 1 USB adaptor - but I assume that will have the same issue (needing 11 pin cable).
Cheers,
Jim

Bottom connector for XDAIIs

Does anyone know where I can buy the plug that plugs into the bottom connector for an XDAIIs?
I've asked everyone I can think of, searched Google, Maplin(UK) and Expansys and I can't find one.
It's probably because I don't know the correct name for it!
Ideally, I'd like one that has all 22 connections and even cables attached - they look really hard to solder onto by hand!
Any information would be greatfully received
Thanks

http://www.gomadic.com/connectors.html sells connectors
Wallaby, Himalaya are compatible with HP iPAQ Connector Plug Assembly (19/22/38/39/41/43/51/54/5500 Series)
but read that the plug of BlueAngel is not exactly the same.
I purchased an XDA II car charger from the O2 shop in Manchester - it came with a plug that works fine with my XDA2s - have used it on the car charger and on the supplied power lead - charges fine.
When I got my IIs, it CAME with the plug already, any standard car charger can plug right into that plug and then the IIs... You sure you guys didn't get it?????
I think you mis-understood me - I'll try again!
I have developed a complete installed car kit for XDA, XDAII and IIs that does the following.
Mutes stereo when in call and puts all sound to front speakers
Can put navigation commands through the stereo
Hooks up to external microphone
Has PS2 (Holux) and RJ11 (TomTom and Leadtek) GPS connections
Charges device
I'm trying to get hold of a connector with 22 connections because I have one problem left.
To switch the car kit on, I either need a 5V feed from the device OR need to be able to put 5V in on one pin and get 5V out of another.
If anyone can help with either the connector or letting me know which pins I might be able to use send me a mail please
Thanks

USB extension cable for the TYTN 11 pin connector?

Hi all,
As per subject...
Anyone know if such as cable is available?
I was planning on getting the new 3-1 Adaptor for the TYTN to make use of the 3.5mm jack and charging feature in my car.
The thing is, the cable for this adaptor is very short and cannot be hidden easily when in the car. So, I was thinking of using an extension cable of some sort, so the adaptor could be more easily hidden elsewhere under the centre console.
Many thanks.
USB Stupidity
Hi,
Affraid i didn't find anything either, and wanted to do the same thing.
I resorted to buying the cable from expansis and "Adapting it my self"
The project was fairly simple, and if your happy with a soldering iron and a multimeter you should be fine.
I now have a small connector on my dash that will disapears under the dashboard to a breakout box. All i basicly did was chop off the box that has the two female connectors in it, extend the wire with an old cut up parralel printer cable (multicore and was lying arround) and then terminated in a project box from maplins.
This has two headphone sockets, (audio out stero, and mic in) as well as a USB socket to charge the phone. (the plan was to have the USB socket be usable for data... but that bit went a bit wrong...
Still from the testing i have done, i now have tomtom and WindowsMedia mp3 play back comming through my car stero, and my VarioII reports to be charging. Havn't had a chance to test it on a long drive yet, i think i might still need a beefier 12Volt to USB adapter.
If anyone want more info on what i did, i'd be glad to help.
here are some pics, sorry v bad Q....
I don't seem to see any pics?...
Ooops...
here you go
Seems good to me- as long as it all works ok then its a good job.
Always been interesting in making my own adapters/cables but have never tried. Perhaps I should give it a go!

Any news on that extension cable yet; is it available?
i brought one of these and successfully lengthened it with an old peice of printer cable (only multi core cable i had to hand)
i then used an off the shelf diy project box to hide the junction in.
worked very well, but i have since changed to a bluetooth car kit.
the soldering was a little small and working out which wire was which was a bit of a pain, but all in all only took an hour or so to sort out. probably worth it.
(AFAIK my dad is still using the one i adapted.)
sorry to put old post on top !! but own a dimaond and just buy a touch HD !
i a m looking for this kind of cable !!
If someone have info !!
where to buy for exemple ?
thanks in advance !!
how about extending the power cable? seems like that would be easier.

Usb cable problem

I have one question, does miniusb cable will fit with this device or need special cable ?
the blueangel has a special port, there are adapters for notebook chargers, which covers a AC-supply generalisation, but there is no standard usb cable to use. i recently got a universal and i have to say i love the mini-usb port, since you can use all new htc accessories and everything you got lying around, i actually sync my device with a cable that came with a card reader, all that, unfortunately, is not possible with the ba
I realised this yesterday after 23:58 Very bad - i don't know where to find original cable or some connector pinout. Even my siemens unlocking cable don't work.
Nothing, phone will stay with german rom, wm2003. Even flashing via sd card not possible
Blue Angel usb cables can easily be found online if you look for them I purchased a couple for 10 dollars or less.
They tended to come with a USB docking station, this is what you'd use to sync it to a computer.
I am selling one, but postage could be an issue...

GNS Trafficbox on HD2

Hi there,
I was wondering, if it's possible to get a GNS Trafficbox FM9 connected to the HD2 (via adapter) to receive TMC-Data.
HyperGPS isn't working so far, so this could be the proper alternative...
Anybody's got some experience concerning this?
I've just bought a GNS Trafficbox FM9 which has come with a mini-B USB plug to use with my HD2. I've also bought a micro-b USB extension lead.
Taking the Trafficbox apart reveals a simple circuit board with the output wires coded in what appears to be standard USB colours. My thinking is that if I cut the USB A plug off the extension lead I should be able to solder them to the board and (hoepfully) away I go, avoidning all the traffic.
The extension lead should be here in a couple of days - I'll let you know how I get on.

Dock connector is longer: why

Hi,
Does anyone has any idea why the micro-USB connectors which are used to connect a HDMI or VGA cable to the micro-USB port of the Samsung Galaxies are longer than let's say a data micro USB connector?
I've tried a micro-USB extension cable, and they don't work with these video-output connectors because they're too long. When I looked inside the connector I noticed that all the connection points are way down the connector, and that the upper part is just extra. So I've tried filing off the upper part. Now it charges the phone, but still no video output.
Thanks!
Never mind, just found an answer to my question
Apparently the dock / video out connectors are 11 pin micro USB connectors. The data and charging cable connectors are 5 pin.
Now to find an extension cable for that. I wonder if this excists.
It would be much easier to find HDMI/VGA extension cable rather then the 11 ping micro usb.

Indeed, but the problem is that I want to extend the dock connector so I can put my Note 3 next to my dock to put it in landscape.
