Is it possible to create a rom with both eclair 2.1 and htc sense for hero. i googled around and found this video. htc desire black has both eclair and htc sense. but could not find the rom anywhere.....

The desire has the power and resolution to run them, Hero, not so much

Would the stock 2.1 work on HTC Hero? Liike 3d app tray and 5 homescreens, if so does anyone have a ROM or would be kind enough to make one?
nexus has another processor, so it won't work at all...
Yeah that aint gonna work. Have a look in the dev section I think some people were working on Nexus themed ROMs.

Numerous threads have been created in the past to this effect. Sense won't be coming on froyo till the legend or another device similar gets it...
What do you need from sense anyway? There's likely a third party app, or theme, to make you happy with it...

This has been asked multiple times. It's possible, but not likely. The EVO has a HDPI resolution while the Droid Eris has a MDPI resolution. If you port if, you'll have to scale down all the png's and stuff, which wouldn't work out. The only MDPI resolution screen phone I know that has Froyo Sense is the HTC Wildfire.

I don't think it's possible due to major hardware difference.
I guess porting a froyo rom from HTC Legend is possible provided HTC releases one..
From what I understand a Desire port for the Hero won't work; the Desire uses a completely different chipset and the screen resolution is much larger.
A Legend ROM on the other hand, is much more viable! It has been rumoured that HTC is due to release an Android 2.2/Sense update for the Legend some time over the next few months. Once this is released you can bet that the Hero devs will get hold of it and port it to our lovely phone! ;-)

Is there already a working ROM for HTC Legend with HTC Sense 3.5? On a Chinese forum there is a ROM with Sense 3.5, but has someone test it, is it a good one?

I think the .sense ROM isn't working for HTC Legend. They say that it is working, but they didn't test it..
