How to port current Windows Mobile OEM drivers for Android? - Android

Hello Fellows,

because porting android needs a lot of rewritting the drivers and how to speak to youre phones hardware
and even the great phones like my blackstone dont have android running
and they are trying to acomplish that for over a half year now
and many other huge phones dont have a working android for there phone
and it arnt that many people here with the iolite so i think we dont have programmer how can make it for us ive it would ever be accomplished on other phones
best regards
miniterror
I donĀ“t can better say this.
Greetings!
HI!
Sorry for stupid questions...but I dont understand why someone should write new driver? Hardware are (almost) the same. Why you can't use tattoo's drivers without changing?
Best Regards!
Andraz
well its like putting diesel in a benzine car

Can anyone port this game to HD2 (Skill Ball Bingo)

I played this arcade game on holiday recently, and wow it's so addicting anyone who tries it will surely agree. In fact I made a pretty tidy profit most nights.
I've searched the 'net and found various sites, like this one:
http://www.gamemobile.co.uk/skillballbingo.htm
to download the game but nowhere can I find a version which is compatible with the HD2.
I would be eternaly grateful if someone can manage to do this, I'd also be willing to make a tidy donation to any worthy cause (ie your beer fund).
If anyone can do this, let me know so I can purchase the game and send you the files.
Thx in anticipation.
Can anyone help with this please?
Surely there must be somebody in the community who can do this?????
If it's not possible to do this for whatever reason, can somebody just say so please?
Anyone please? I mean is this possible to do?
A short yay or nay will suffice.
Thank you!
I do not think porting is feasible.
Jou could offcourse contact the developer of the game.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
If you don't mind, could you please explain why porting of this game to HD2 wouldn't be feasible. I would be interested to know.
Also thx for suggesting contacting the developer, I never thought of this. Might be worth a try.
Regards.

I'm looking for professional help

I would like to install android to my t-mobile US htc hd2. I would like to somebody to help me by remotely connecting to my computer and help me do this.
I hate windows 6.5 it is freezing and texting is freezing. I really like to use android all the time.
I would like to pay for this service not much but something.
Anybody interested please contact me thru the forum private message or in this top.
I'm sorry if I'm violation forum rules but i need help. I couldn't figure out after 4 hours reading. thank you.
My advice to you, sell your Windows Mobile device, and buy a naitive Android device. Then you will have Android as it was designed, there are still bugs with the Android port on the HD2.
I see thank you for your answer. I will try that.
from waht you have said i'm convinced you have a stock rom which, to be honest, is a pretty sucky choice. The HTC stock roms all have bugs but i seem to find that the custom roms have fewer (i know it sounds mad, may be it's just me) Before you sell your HD2 try customising it a little bit. There is plenty of help available if you wish to look at this. I would even freely admitt there are people out ther that i have helped over MSN and they are all now very happy HD2 users.
Pm me if your interested but please remember i am quite frequently busy and i live in the UK.

[Q] looking for a very barebones windows mobile rom

Ok i dont know if this has already been covered or if anyone else is like me , but im looking for the smallest , most barebones version of windows mobile that there can be . I know of chucky droid roms and a few others but is that as barebones as they can be ? I mean i dont care for anything to be on it at all , just a android dual boot loader and thats pretty much about it , camera , wifi , data , do not have to work . Please let me know of some roms like this if they exists , or if someone could throw one together .
Thank you to everyone whos makes the HD2 so much better then the stock version and to all the devs and brain trust for porting Android to the hd2 .
Also thanks in advance for the any information on these kind of winmo roms
I would suggest Artemis.

Artemis ROM isn't TMOUS compatible, try Dutty's or UnOff series.
it seems it's compatible, check this out.
of course you should try this at your own risk because it's functionality hasn't confirmed by developer.

it is not tmous 1024 compatible, but 512 - yes. it is fast and stuff, but not st3wart is looking for ..
my suggestion is to ask one of the chefs to make one specialy for you without all the stuff you dont need
.. but then again .. i am coming from diamond community, where you can actualy TALK to chefs, here .. somehow i am getting the feeling they are not so .. hmm .. lets not offend anyone .. so i will keep my opinion to myself
Hey thanks for the input guys, I will take a look at both Roms . And I wouldn't know who to even ask to make a specific rom like this for me. Im sure alot of hd2 android users would enjoy and benefit from a rom like im talking about. But thanks again. And if you have any more suggestions just let me know.
Us Android users have quite a few minimal Roms to choose from... VBN, Energy Titanium, Chucky Droid Rom... To name a couple.

Its impossible. You'd have known if you would have searched rather than waste a thread in our forum. Best way to experience android is to buy an android phone. Good day.
