Launcherpro - Droid Eris General

It's by far my favorite launcher but has anyone else noticed instability in the last few updates?

I have noticed it. It's really screwing up my phone. It lags so bad now. What have you been noticing?

Tons of lag, but it's fixable if you go to advanced settings, memory settings, and turn off cache. Restarting the phone into recovery, going to other, and then fixing uid mismatches after turning off cache fixes it. Hopefully the dev will fix it completely and let us still use cache.

Turns out it was just my phone. I went back to just the sense and the phone is still extremely slow.
Verizon is sending me my second replacement.

huh... I'll try vanilla.

Really love it so far, especially the landscape view on home screen, and not to mention the multiple docks(3). I haven't noticed any lag at all, but that could be because it's running off the sd card. Also, the 3d app drawer is pretty cool, a nice change, and a refreshing way to browse the app drawer.

No lag here, I love Launcher Pro. I'm on CELB 2.7

Icon pictures disappearing

I am running nero v.3 and am experiencing problems with a few select icon pictures disappearing. This happens mostly in my games and puzzles folder in my launcher home pro screen
Games such as angry bird and sniper keep loosing their pictures and are replaced with a generic android one. They still work though. If I remove the icon and add it again, it will start good for a while but revert back to the generic one after a while. This only happens in in. the folders, and the app drawer is completely fine. No problems there
This seems to be isolated to mainly my games and puzzles folders, but not all icons in there are affected. Its the same ones all the time. Can't remember if I had this problem on stock, but I did experience it on nero beta 3
Any idea on what could be the cause

I maybe the last to know this battery saver tip

If I'm the last to know you can make fun of me. Just read in my Get Started user guide if you hit the back button instead of the home button it turns the app off.
That's why I always seem to have several apps running
I hit home a lot, now I know
Enjoying my 3vo
in android the background processes barely touch the battery it's managed well and you don't have to worry about them being open.

Bwahahahahahahah!!!!
With that out of the way, there are some really poorly coded apps that kill the battery even if it's not doing anything in the background. Even if the app does not, it takes away available memory, though it's usually not that much.
P.S. The first line is a joke .
any app that you can close with the back button(android has always done this as far as i know) you can also close in the task manager
but ive tested. not all apps close with the back button(still shows as running in Applications). probably something the dev of the app needs to allow

[Q] Did Your Google Navigation Screen Change With The Last Update

On a recent trip I decided to use Google Navigation on my WI-FI tablet while tethered to my phone, in doing so I noticed that the screen looked odd as in the screen shot below:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I also ran into a problem were it began to not only give direction it was also reading out load the html behind the route.
Today I decided to undo the update that was applied and the screen once again looks like the original:
Has anyone ran into this issue and does your screen look like any of these two?
i guess no one is having this problem ...
Mine looks weird too.
I have never the app used though. wifi-only.
yeah i got that too...i updated my tab apps few hours before....its kinda weird....someone give a good solution
I'm wifi also but I tether to my phone when I go out and don't have access to Wi-Fi. The only way I've figured to fix it is to remove the update, everything works after that. Beware if you install it.
Issue Solved
Looks like the update to 3.2 corrected this issue. The screen now looks polished and functional.

Message App won't work with ADW with ICS theme?

Hey everyone. Today i spent some time tweaking my note giving myself a sorta early taste of ICS on my Note. I have ICS on my Transformer Prime and its just a much better FW and it looks so much better. Touch wiz is just missing that home screen snap like my Prime has on ICS. So in installed ADW and applied the ICS theme. Everything runs butter smooth now so much faster as far as scrolling and launching stuff. All the apps work like phone, email except for the text message app? When i click it it won't open using the ADW launcher.
However when i switch back to the stock Touch Wiz launcher the message app/icon opens fine. Anybody come across this.

Just delete it and drag it back down there.
+1 on deleting it then dragging it out of the app drawer and putting it back down there.
this happens sometimes with ADWEx
I'll be dammed, that worked. Double thanks to both of you. Have no clue why i didn't think of that lol. O well works now, lesson learned.

Unexplainable NFC difference between two S5's

So, check this out, it's weird... I've got two S5's, same ROM, with a weird difference. Take a look:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
First, note that NFC is on, but there's no icon in the status bar. Second. note the advanced menu option. Now look at this one:
Notice there IS an NFC icon up top but there is NO advanced menu item. Every value on the About screen is identical, so they're definitely on the same version. Neither has had any sort of hacks applied... they ARE both rooted and I actually did the change to make the SD card writable, I guess that counts as a hack, but that's it. All the same apps disabled on both and I haven't been able to even find any settings differences.
I can't explain these differences. Note that NFC works between the two, so clearly it's on even though there's no icon on the first phone. I've tried clearing cache on both, reboots obviously, makes no difference. Flipping NFC on and off also doesn't change anything.
It's really just an annoyance but I HAVE this sort of little thing, it'll bug me until I have an answer. Any ideas? Thanks!
