nothing, I'm afraid. its dead. warranty? insurance?

if you bought it from amazon they are pretty good at returns (well in the UK at least)
I would call them up tell them you recieved the phone and its dead, i highly doubt they would be able to test it to find out that it could be user error
think thats your only chance

I have a Tmobile UK HD2 with the official ROM version 1.72......WWE.
I have installed HSPL3, and successfully flashed Radio 2.12.50.02_2 and I am about to experiment with a few custom Roms. Going from your post above, would I still be able to return to my original Official Tmobile rom should i decide to? I thought HSPL was to allow me flash both cooked and official roms? thanks for any advice you can give.

sure you can, you don't have a tmous so my previous post is not related to your phone.

looking for stock verizon rom 1.14

does anybody know where I can get the offical rom that verizon put on the touch pro. They tell me its 1.14. I am working with them to get my sprint branded phone on the network. So far they are working with me but want teh stock ROM installed.
I have found the "leaked pre release rom" but this is older then 1.14.
Thanks.

I was told by multiple people that the LEAKED was the same as the stock. I dumped mine when I got it, but could never find any help getting the RAW's converted into an NBH for flashing. I still have them if the leaked isn't the same and someone wants to help
your not going to be able to find that unless verizon has released it themselves, which im almost positive hasn't happened yet
Just download this one and install it. Its the leaked version but it works fine.
Also you dont have to have stock rom, but if they really want you to, just use the one HERE
also you should check out ppcgeeks.com It is much better than xda for CDMA upgrades etc. xda=GSM PPCGEEKS=CDMA

New ROM for T-Mobile (1.33.110.2)

Just checked the HTC website and I've just discovered a new ROM for T-Mobile(uk?) users was uploaded yesterday
Version 1.33.110.2
Luckily for me I'm a t-mobile user, but I havnt noticed anyone talking about a 1.30+ rom yet
EDIT: AS somebody already asked and DID NOT READ TWO POSTS BELOW i'm quoting myself here:
Just to note:
The site mentions a new ROM update for your HTC HD2...
I confirm this is for your Touch2/Mega/T3333. It's pretty snappy
Click to collapse
ALSO note that this is for T-Mobile UK branded Mega's ONLY
(you could try using it, but dont complain when your GPRS/mms/etc settings are preconfigured for T-mobile!!)
Thanks for this.. looks like the crappy T Mobile release is the best we can hope for. At least YouTube gets its own application, so I don't get the "Finding Network..." error when loading videos from IE
yeah it looks alot better than the last one i downloaded.
Just to note:

T Mobile must have paid millions for HTC to lock the Mega with them, this is a really nice phone, especially if you don't want to carry a laptop sized thing (HD2) with you
Why can't they make a single ROM with no branding on it (or at least don't block changing the ROM)
... If anything, seeing the bloody T Mobile thing on start up makes me less likely to switch to them, and go to Virgin or stay with O2.
Thanx guys, its something until we get cooked roms, wow
Erm, nid help! why i cant download it? they ask me for S/N and i typed in but they say this software is not suitable for you device. my phone is HTC Touch2 T3333
Is it a T-Mobile one? Or not? The phone must be a T-Mobile UK one, you must select United Kingdom in their site and voila.
same here...
I'm not from UK but I'm sure it will work in my device. Can someone upload it please?
Lot of thanks.....
I hope the HTc donĀ“t forget the rest of us....

It is, but only for UK T-Mobile branded phones. Its not for every HTC Mega.
Brands?
I have no Idea about the other brands... My phone was originally in Italian then I was able to Flash it with an WWE Rom.. I don't think that I won't be able to reflash it with the latest rom version released by the other providers...

Then my friend you have not branded mobile phone. That means you must put only WWE updates, this update is only for T-Mobile Phones from UK, when you swich on/off the phone you see T-Mobile, now did you get that this is not for you, wait for the 1.33 WWE version.

[Q] I Can't find The Suitable Region for my HD2 Manila Verion for ROM UPGRADE

I have a HD2 phone with these software specs out of the box:
Manila Version ( 2.5.192xxx ),
ROM Verion (1.43.405 xxx) WWE (70124)
Radio Ver ( 2.04 xxx)
I have been searching for a suitable ROM in htc official site to Upgrade my ROM, but no matter how much I tried, I only get this:
"This software is not suitable for your phone"
I checked my IMEI in https://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr and my phone turned out to be originated from Europe. But I get the same sentence when I tried Europe countries in htc official website.
Can someone kindly shed a light on this?
Thanks fellas
P.S
TBH, I don't see any similarity between my phone OS interface and that of people who have hd 2 Manila version ( from youtube ). Isn't it strange?
probably a branded device sir

You can use the GoldCard technique. (I know it works, but don't have experience with it)
Wow very original (initial ROM)....
Looks like you have an UK ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9105826&postcount=1. So you could try the UK HTC Site.
Have you checked if you have an Operator logo at startup? If so, go to the Operators website, maybe the posted the ROM over there.
You must also check your SPL at bootup and report it over here.
HSPL your HD2 then it doesn't matter WHERE your phone is from. As long as its not a t-mobile phone which has more RAM/ROM than normal you can flash any HD2 rom you want...

2- Radio Version (2.04.5.xxx)

Sorry for SPL you have to enter BootLoader (press and hold volume-down when booting the device), but don't bother, cause if I read one of your prev posts, you don't have HSLP installed.
You could also contact HTC Support, maybe they can help you finding your upgrade. Cause you have an ancient ROM on your HD2. I believe for all HD2 devices (even branded) there has to be at least an 1.66... or 1.72... ROM available.
Btw. You don't have an Operator logo somewhere at startup, it's all HTC logo's???

I forgot to mention that I finally found a ROM upgrade for my phone from htc TAIWAN website, downloaded and installed it. Apparently my phone origin is Taiwan. And now the language of my phone became Taiwanese. The question is that how my TAIWANESE phone had English language on it if it was not HSPL'ed? ( Actually I didn't check the Bootloader BEFORE upgrading my phone, but I believe if my phone had been HSPL'ed, the word HSPL would be seen in bootloader even AFTER Rom upgrading, right?
Is it possible that a Taiwanese phone has English language on it out of factory?

No, it's all HTC.
Read ALL the previous replies. Told OPTUS that I could not get the Win6.5 ROM upgrade from HTC, launched a week ago. They told me to give them the IMEI (above the serial number).
The operator then told me that I needed to download from the South African HTC site, since that's where my ex-Telstra phone came from. But that site seems off-line at this moment.

You are on AT&T with a US T-Mobile device?
Anyway, no, it won't work. The US model has more ROM memory than the international models.
thanks for the infos! Good to know that this can't be done.

Besides risky tricks with flashing wrong radio and getting expensive paperweight as a result you will not get any benefits flashing European rom.
Theoretically if you really want to have Euro variant - you can extract ruu_signed.nbh from Euro ship.exe and flash it. The device won't be bricked but you will loose half of your flash size.
Normally it works on the contrary - the owners of the European model are installing the OEM drivers and nk from the American model to enable more memory.
If you want to get rid of T-Mobile specific services and settings - flash any custom Leo rom which is TMOUS compatible.

i think flashing a euro rom (without radio) ((or for example a euro based cooked rom)to a tmous leads to boot sticking at the RGD info screen. Or am i mistaken? ( I have a euro, not tmous, just 14 months dedicated reading, hehe)

I would not try it at all the risk of bricking your HD2 is way too high if you do not make sure all factors involved are correct. Plus as other posts here says you will lose some of the phone capabilities.
Selliing my HD2 overseas!!!!!!!!
I am selling my hd2 on ebay and believe it or not downgrading to an optimus s that I want to use either on virgin or Cricket/ Metro for a cheaper better plan. If anyone can help me with the proper radio and rom to flash that would be awsome.
But, that is not my question. On the HD2 side so far the only bidder is from Greece and I have advertised (custom Rom WM6.5, WP7, or Android) Will a Tmous rom work in Greece? If not What rom/or radio will?
I flashed Asia ROm to T-Mobile HD2 and bricked. I believe Euro ROM will do same. Now only way is to use JTAG method to recover

Froyo Update for AT&T on non-AT&T phones

Hi guys
I was wondering if my Aria (it's an Asian one) could be upgraded to the froyo rom that is used by AT&T?
I don't really want to use the custom roms for fear of warranty issues/breaking the phone (it's a friend's) and like.
Thanks in advance.

You might be able to install the AT&T version if you use a goldcard. It will also depend on which HBOOT version is installed on the Aria. If it is HBOOT version 1.0x, then you probably won't be able to.
From what I've gathered, you should be able to use any Liberty RUU on any Liberty phone with a gold card. The HBOOT version doesn't matter.
For example, if you have the AT&T 2.2 update on your phone, you can use the AT&T 2.1 RUU on your phone. The ROM and radio will downgrade, but the HBOOT will remain the newer version (1.x), which prevents you from rooting the phone but doesn't prevent you from using the 2.1 ROM like a stock phone.
Thanks for the reply, but what's a goldcard?
As for HBOOT, is it something like the HSPL/SPL of the HTC HD? How do I check the HBOOT version?
EDIT:
Also, since I probably can only flash asian roms, does this mean I can flash any asian rom? I noticed that there are Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc roms (I bought my phone from China).

Sounds like you need to do some searching and research and you don't even need to leave XDA to find all of the answers. Seek and you shall find...
Ok I found out what are both.
Found out that my phone is madein Taiwan though I bought it from China, does this mean I can flash the official taiwan rom here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1062149) onto my Aria (if I care not for any clockwork recovery/custom ROMS)?
However, can official roms run non-market android apps?

The official AT&T ROMS are usually the only ones that don't allow non-market android apps, however there is an update for the AT&T Froyo 2.2.2 ROM that enables this option now, too.
