I Ordered a HTC Legend with German Vodafone Brand,
is it Possible to debrand this Phone irrespective of the Bootloader version or other specs?
And which rom i have to use to get Android in German?
Sorry for the questions, WM was easyer
Search for how to make a goldcard and then push the stock Rom from HTC in your legend

i tried installing cm7 rom through ROM amnager.. its a real headache.. phone is restarting, wifi prob, etc...
i need to install the official HTC Froyo ROM... how to do it ?? i tied de branding my Legend.. created the Gold Card.... but don't know how to install the official ROM

I have just bought a new SE X10 a unlocked (At&T) from USA and it has android 2.1, could you please tell me if i would be able to get Android update 2.3? If no then what should i do? I am not a techie so i dont understand the rooting/flashing and stuff…please help as i cant download applications on limited internal memory..i want to use my SD card for applications…please help

The real question is when will we get the 2.3 update from at&t. When the official 2.1 came out for the x10 at&t was late by 6months or more. I suggest you spend the time to read and research about using & installing custom roms because eventually a 2.3 custom rom based on official se sources will be available.

Another option is to debrand your phone, which will remove all of the att bloatware by flashing the global generic firmware, which will allow you to get the update as soon as it is released instead of waiting for att to release their version, it took them around eight months to release their 2.1 update. If you aren't comfortable flashing it youself there are sites, like davinciteam.com, that will make it easier for a price.

Flash a custom rom after rooting. If you find that too complex you can use TotalGSM or Davinci to debrand the phone, but they charge.
Debranding from att is easiest by just flashing a generic version with flashtool. Or root google debranding xperia x10 its super easy with root explorer

Do just like hoskopico said, root your phone, buy Root Explorer on the market, and edit the build.prop file to one that can be updated (see how to debrand and the list of updated kits, do a quick search for how to debrand and look under "General" for the roll-up to see what kits are available.).

I wish to install the stock Android 2.2 for my Legend, however HTC website don't have the rom available for download anymore all FOTA.
Is there anyway i can restore it to stock 2.2?

Hi,
I have downloaded the RUU however, it says waiting for bootloader then one minute later, it says USB connection failed and my phone has the HTC logo on it.
Any clues why this is happening?

any step by step way to flash kernel? am not able to do it..
i went to the fast boot mode and on pc via cmd typed the command,...but nothing happened..got error message that invalid external/internal command..plz help...im not able to connect to wifi!!

Maybe s stupid question, but have you installed SDK and have you saved the boot.img in the right Folder?

If you flash my Custom ROM you will have a full rooted phone
What for a Rom was on your phone before you flashed the Chinese ROM?

i did flash your newest rom..its fantastic...but a small issue...for some strange reason m not able to change wall papers....how can this be sorted?

Hey guys, i tried miui rom and the earopean rom, decited to return to the original one but than saw that my wifi and bt aren't functioning, i understand that basicly activating the kernel through fastbook fixes the problem but couldnt find the right kernel, can anyone help plz?

everything is fine but wifi dan bt is not working.
i've read that i should flash a kernel. i've downloaded the file but i have no idea how to flash it...is there any way to flash a kernel from handheld?
because i've tried to run adb command in pc but it displays that ADB server didn't ack.
i don't know what to do..
one more thing...how do i know that the rom that i flashed categorized in indian, china, europe, etc?
