[Solution]SI E10 Cannot power on or charging problem - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

SI E10 Cannot power on or charging problemApplicable for: Xperia X10 mini / E10
Description:
In rare cases the E10’s charger can be detected as a PC, this will greatly prolong the charging time.
If a phone have shut down due to low battery and is detected as a PC connection, the time before start up
voltage is reached will be very long.
Solution:
1. Remove the charger from phone and power outlet.
2. Attach the charger to the phone
3. Attach the charger to the power outlet
Reminder:
A hardware reset is done by pressing the on/off button at the top and the Home (middle) button at the same
time.

Hhmmm, quite easy to do a hardware reset accidently, is it really that simple?

Bricked HD2 Help......

No Boot loader
Not charging
No lights
Nothing by pressing vol down and power buttons
Nothing by pressing both vol buttons and reset button
Turned off for hours without battery and pressed power button for long time to drain the battery and turned back on.
Nothing works any more ideas.
But when I connect it to my laptop it does make a notification sound that a new device is connected and is called the qualcomm cdma technologies msm.
If I have bricked it and no solutions and I have warranty should I call HTC or my insurance company?
If lucky, it may be your charger is faulty,so will not charge battery. This will cause enough power to go through USB cable from pc to recognize phone, but not enough power to charge it.
Do you have a car charger or a standard usb charger that you can try.
If you 'bricked' it through software altering, warranty will not cover this, nor will insurance. Warranty will only cover hardware fault and insurance accidental damage to phone,

[Q] Carloader

Which carloader can be used with the X10i?
I was using the navigation today with my phone plugged in, but it lost power.
Till now I've tried:
1) direct car-lighter cable which came with my carkit for X10i
2) car-lighter to USB adapter with original USB-cable
3) original 230V adapter with original USB-cable in a 12V to 230V converter.
Does anybody know what to do?
it's up to you, what do you want to use. You can or could use any of these, but in fact there is a difference I want to know to. My car-lighter power source gibes me 1,2Ampere, but my X10 recongnize it as USB and charges really slow, instead of AC (i know it isn't AC, but it has the power like AC)
But thats another story (I will open a new thread for it)
It should work with every solution. Your choice
i had a no-name car charger, tried it 3 times and it only charged once,!
although the yellow led was lighting it wouldn't charge! So i decided to drop it and buy an original SE one probably this week
The problem is about how it converts tension and stabilisation of it, i made some experiments on my phone and connected a miniusb connector to a dc lab power supply, and mesured with osciloscope the data lines and voltage one. So the realy problem is about the level of dc voltage if is betwen the 4.5 and 5.5 is ok it will start charge, and if the data lines are in tree state level(as free, noconnection). The current consumption is not depending on what tipe of connection is detected only depends of the avaibility of the power supply, the max current absorbed by phone was about 800mA at 5V, and the surce can deliver even 10A.
Now the phone to detect a connection as USB charger u must have a bistabil interface between the data lines, and the phone current consumption in this mode was the same as AC charger mode, so is no difference in charging time, this depends only by power supply.
sorry for my bad english is not my first language.

Charging in WP7

I got problems with WP7 battery charging so I decided to find out some infos about it.
In WM to build external charger you need to cross D+ and D- in usb (signal wires). In WP7 it's doesn't do the trick, it wouldn't charge.
Also USBHub also doesn't charge it.
The only way to charge TG01 in WP7 is to plug it into computer's usb port, then red led will appear and it will charge pretty fast.
If your battery got drowned too low to boot the phone, recharge it manually witl cut usb cable and red wire to + and black wire to -, hold about a minute or two and then boot the phone and charge.
Is there a solution yet to charge the phone in WM7? Can not we make a home charger?
thanks
you can. I am charging phone with regular charger i got with toshiba

the same here- i have no problems with battery or charging .......
So toshiba charger does something else than just shorting d+ and d-, I've built my own charger which works in winmo, but doesn't work with wp7
ok, thanks for the explanation
Hi,
i also use not orginal charger and it works fine ,but problem occure when battery will got drowned.
In this case the same charger will cause that led will be orange suggesting that charging process was started ,but in fact it won't charge. (phone was left in this condition for 10hourse without any progression)
I had the same situation with wm6.5 and then it was enough to plug this phone to usb, after a while it was able to charge.
But when you have wp7 phone will try to continuously boot up and charging won't start. So one solution is as Aeroflyluby wrote: charge this battery manualy for a one minute or you can do as follow:
1. plug phone into usb
2. hold down volume - and volume + and press power - this procedure will start bootloader menu
3. press volume + to select boot source = USBFb serial
4. press volume - until you will see Device ready to download image...and orange led lights up
there will be of course error information but it doesn't matter.
Important is that this procedure will force charge mode .
This procedure will not damage or erase your current ROM.
Regards, Tom
I can confirm that need only short +D and -D. I convert a generic car USB charger for my toshiba with this method .

[Q] Xperia z2 charging problem...

I am xperia z2 user since july 2014.
Until tooday everything was fine.
Onw hour ago i started playing Angry birds epic, and phone got really warm.
After few minutes i noticed that i have low level of battery, so i puted it on magnetic charger, and...nothing. It didnt start to charge. So i connected USB plug and also no reaction.
Phone is working except that it is not charging , and even in a basic menu it gets warmer then usual.
Any ideas??
Soft reset it. Hold volume up + power until3 vibrations
Or let it cool down first

I tried this way and it does not work.
I have z2 with same problem but I solved it
I have z2 with same problem it started with me after I bought the magnetic cable charger since then and the usb cable keeps bilnking on and off and the battery drain instead of charge and I can onlycharge the mobile using the magnetic cable..... I read here that the cause of the problem could be connecting the magnetic cable upside down and I did it by mistake and then the usb problem started so to solve my problem i connected the magnetic cable upside down once again and then connected the usb cable and its working but if I used the magnetic cable again the problem come back to raise so I do the same by connecting the magnetic cable in a invert way.

[Q] power on battery android

Hi All,
i removed battery from my rooted android tablet, now i would like it power on when i connect a power supply to battery wire.
Now when i connect the power supply, i have to click the power button to power on the device. I found a work around to replace the battery charging icon with a script, and the device power on when you connect the charger, but i think it works only if battery is connected.
Is there a not hardware solution?
