I have cid unlocked my g4 mda and been able to flash quite a few roms just wondering if any of the roms will have conflicts with my device unlocked via imei-check please help me with this read step by step instruction on core kitchen pro and said not to use with g4 unless using shelltool.
There's no problem to flash roms (on a CID-unlocked G4) made with core kitchen as long as there's no IPL/SPL in it. I think the remark was made for G4 CID-locked phones!

flashing G3 rom to G4 device = Bricked device. but i knew that too late
and im still searching for a solution for my bricked wizard.
and will keep searching.

i have a G4 locked CID and everything else locked
i spent a hell lotta time to upgrade mine but couldnt but at last found a way
the way i see it the thing that you pppl hav ried is that you ttried to upgrade by just running the RUU update utility with the ROm programs right?
WRONGGG dont use that in some cases it will brick you are lucky if it wasnt working coz if it does it will brick your cell
just follow these points
1- download WIzard love rom .. its a windows mobile 5 rom but its a safety rom ifever you abve to upgrade you have to first install this on ur wizard then upgrade and also if you have bricked ur cell then all you have to do is install this and everythign goes well
2- download any rom you want to upload
3- download SHELL TOLL program by mun its the only pgram that can install windows mobile 6 on g4 cid locked wizards
4- foloow the instructions given with shell toll
5- enjoy

Is it possible to dump the ROM via the rom dump procedure on a locked CID G4 device?
I had a CID locked G4 818 Pro and would love to backup the ROM before taking the dive into the WM6 upgrade.
I wonder if by doing hard SPL flash does this allow me to backup the current WM5 rom?
I believe there are some WM5 ROM backups on the ftp site...
Hi guys, just like to say great job and thanks for the great roms.
I have both a Prophet M600 and a Kasier, i have both upgraded them with roms made from guys on this site.
The question i wanting to ask is with the prophet i can sometime upgrade the rom with ones using the dos method, this seems more reliable, for me.
But i cant update with the roms using the rom utility upgrade, any ideas, after doing 100% it returns to the boot loader.
Is there a way i could convert the .nbf file to a nb file, so i can use the dos method.
You haven't hard SPLed your device.
To convert a *.nbf to *.nb you will need to use a kitchen such as Neokits to dump the ROM and split it into the extended ROM and the OS.

and the other files < and i just add the nk.nbf to the other files than i have

NO, don't do that!
With either SoftSPL or HardSPL, you can only flash ROMs that doesn't have IPL and SPL. The original factory ROM must have IPL and SPL inside. You must extract and reassembly nk.nbf with only OS.nb, otherwise your device will brick if you continue flashing.

Well,it depends which method you adopted first to flash wm6 TNT rom on your phone.If you applied HardSPL,then first you'll have to remove HardSPL,flash back to official Bootloaders (IPL/SPL), only after that you can revert back to the official k-jam rom.Coz HardSPL flashes patched Bootloaders(IPL/SPL),But if you did it with SoftSPL,there's no need to do anything as it reverses itself after the flash and reboot of the phone,the original Bootloaders(IPL/SPL) are back in originality.So just download the official rom and flash.
What IPL/SPL are displayed at the present in your phone ?

2nd i still have the orginal IPL/SPL with g4 and iam sure from it coz i didnt change them coz i was use SoftSPL..
but basicly i have room from k jam club orginal arabic ( conating extened room , ipl , spl , radio ect .. ) so i wanted to make extract and reassembly nk.nbf with only OS.nb for the OS only with nk.nbf to use it with SoftSPL patch with that file > START-sSPL.exe < and the orginal is wm5 not 6 or tnt ...thx again your brother magdi
