[MORPH] Naked TouchWiz App Menu 7/31/10 - Vibrant Themes and Apps

This Metamorph will remove the colored tiles from the TouchWiz3.0 app menu. Make sure you are using the latest version of Metamorph (1.9.13 or higher). I'm not responsible for anything you do to your phone.
WARNING:
You will have to reset your homescreen widgets after applying this morph. Not sure why, but they will all pop up with the "Problem loading widget" image.

This seems pretty useful, I also hope that one day we can get customizable backgrounds and set a specific background on whatever app you choose.

It's possible but I don't see custom backgrounds implemented any time soon. From what I can see, there's not an image that denotes app menu background, so it would take a tweaked version of the launcher to even enable that, not to mention an image chooser as well.
That being said, we do have the source, so it is possible. It would just take someone with the skill and dedication to accomplish it.

Actually, after reading up on it, it's sounds like Samsung might not have included the TouchWiz UI in the source they released. So it may be a bit harder than we though, but that's still not to say it's impossible.
I'm glad you like my morph, though. I couldn't stand the tiles either.

I was on google and I found your thread.... on the captivate. I downloaded it on my VIBRANT and it didn't work, then I saw it fit to complaint in that thread. Embarrassing.

I like the way this looks, I'm gonna wait until the official release of Froyo though before I apply it.
