Setting different unlock button? - Droid Eris Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

By default the Eris has end call to unlock the phone. I want to set another button to unlock the phone (Possibly answer call button?). I had people call me and i ended up hanging up on them and having to call them back. Is it possible to set a different key to unlock the phone?

Help with Device Lock with Lobster 700TV

Hope i have posted this in the right place.
Took delivery of the lobster 700tv mobile.
Normally when the keypad is locked you simply press the unlock button to unlock it and use it.
This phone has a security feature called device lock with which i have problems with. By following the instructions in the manual i had set the device lock so when you press the unlock button you have to type in the password. This prevents anyone from using your phone without your permission. The trouble is it does not recognise my password. Has anyone had this problem? Have rang virgin who are going to send me a replacement. just wondering if it is a common problem before i try to set it on the replacement phone. Also how does one unlock it? The customer service did not know how to do it.

Cyberon Voice dial through Screen lock

Hello,
I have an AT&T 8525 phone with WM6 on it. I have installed the Cyberon Voice Speed Dial application, and have great luck with it. I also used the registry hack to configure the PTT button to invoke SDDialer.exe, which is very good. I just hit the PTT button, speak a name, and dial the person.
My company exchange server has a policy set which forces a PIN lock of the device every 15 minutes. I then have to enter a 4-digit PIN to unlock the device in order to call. This, unfortunately, also prevents the SDDialer app from starting when the phone is screen locked.
Is there a workaround where I can enable the PTT button invoke while the phone is locked? I searched, but could not find any solution, so opening a new thread. Sorry if I missed a thread if this is already discussed (the search displayed a ton of result, and I believe I read most of the threads regarding this).
Thanks,
Walletless
Is this not possible with WM?
Thanks

Generally, locked is locked - that's the purpose: to keep ppl from using the phone. If that wasn't the case, the PIN lock would be pretty useless.

thanks down8.. it is wierd though.. this only seems to happen with the PTT button... if I configure the camera button to open cyberon, I can invoke it from locked screen.. makes me think there is some registry setting that I am missing for PTT... I checked HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Keys, and could not see anything different.

keylock not locking everything

when i'm in keylock
not all the key (especially vol + -) aren't locked
does someone has the same issue ?
You must be using the default HTC Volume bar.
Fire up your favorite registry editor.
Navigate to HKCU\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Services.
Delete the key HTC Volume.
Reboot.
Got another problem.
If device is locked and in "sleep" mode, and someone call me, device is still locked during the call. It's really anoying, if I need to activace HF, i must unlock device and pres up button.
Is there any way to auto-unlock phone with answering a call ?
I don't think there's a way to. Anyway if the phone is unlocked during the call, you have to manually lock it after the call.
To activate speakerphone mode, you can hold the send/talk button in a call.
No problem with locking the phone after the call.
For example. Incoming call in car - need to: Answer call -> Unlock Device -> Activate Speaker.
Got NK3110c too, and there is an option "answer via speakerphone mode" -> Nothing like this Rose ? I found some appz, but all of that was for touchable devices.

Answer the call, then hold the send button to switch to speakerphone mode..
If you wanna do more things, like putting the current call on hold or look up a contact then you have to unlock the phone.

Click to collapse
Holding send button have no effect. Maybe some settings needed ?
It works for me. Even the user manual says so.
And no i did not perform any configuration.
cooool
it works
but now i'd like when the keyboard is locked that the shutdown conversation doesn't works either.
When I'm receiving calls the phone is in a bag and I lose conversation because when I walk ... my leg closes the conversation
Thanks for help !

[Q] Keep phone locked on incoming call but allow to answer?

I am using the latest CyanogenMod ROM on my Optimus T P509. I use the gesture feature on the CyanogenMod lockscreen to unlock my phone. However, when there is an incoming call and I use the unlock button, the entire phone becomes unlocked so if I ever lost my phone, and an incoming call was answered by the person who found it, they would have access to everything on my phone. Is there a way to answer an incoming call and not allow access to anything else on the phone without first entering a password or gesture? Maybe something like allowing a call to be answered "on top of" the lockscreen like you can do when answering text messages with an app like Handscent? I'm sure there is such a feature in the settings on my phone - but I just can't seem to find it.
Thanks in advance for your help on this.

Voice dialing and answering?

I'm trying to work out if it's possible to voice dial as well as answer any incoming calls by voice?
This would be while I'm driving, so ideally it should require no physical input from me to unlock the phone and say a name to dial.
It would be nice if when entering my car I swipe the phone over a NFC sticker which activates some mode that enables this, then the same to disable when leaving.
I have the security pattern on to unlock and would rather keep it on.
