[Q] Battery Percentage over battery icon - Droid Eris Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I really like the feature in CyanogenMod based ROMs that can display the battery percentage in the status bar over top of the battery icon.
Is there any way to do this on non-CM roms? I've searched all over the place and haven't found anything for the Eris yet, so I'm not too hopeful, but maybe I missed something.

Check Hero section. They have this mod and it should work on our phone.

Does anyone know if one of these downloads will work for the Eris? I really like the blue circles right above post #2.
There are so many download options that I'm not sure if one would work for the Eris.
(I'm running Sense-able 3.1)
Thanks for any help & feedback!

Numeric Battery?

So, coming from an iPhone, the one thing I really miss is having a numeric battery. I was wondering if I could get the battery percentage on my status bar like I did on my iPhone.
I don't mean apps you download on the android marker that just has a battery notification that keeps displaying the percentage... but an actual mod made for the Samsung Vibrant that shows it next to the actually battery status on the top right of the status bar.
Sorry if I'm missing something huge here. Thanks!
If you check the Vibrant Theme and Apps section, you can find plenty of numerical battery mods.
Here's an example of one:

Thanks a bunch!
Just ran this, and it looks fantastic... much better than that of the iPhone.
The FrankinTwiz ROM has a numeric battery icon. Be careful with the circular battery mod and other mods for the status and notification bars as they clashed for me and caused a startup loop that prevented the phone from finishing the startup.

I will be wary of that. Hopefully this is the only mod I will apply to my status bar... so things should be ok.
With Frankin-Wiz you just have to make sure you flash the correct version to the correct Rom. Been there and boot looped.

Trust me, I started out with this little mod too.. but I couldn't stop myself after that
I'm trying to stay away from flashing ROMs because my Vibrant is hardware locked though.

PUR3AO5PTH3ORY - circle battery icon?

in the screenshots of the initial post for this ROM it shows a circle battery indicator w/ percentage in the middle. there is no link in the post for it nor is it available in the candystore for this ROM. i have a similiar battery icon for a Sense based ROM but dont want to flash it and end up having to reinstall the ROM again.
does anyone have a link to the battery indicator?
i also do not want to try kitchen asive gotten bad files from them before.
I have a few created, now that the build is set and AOSP is so much easier to maintain, alot of mods and goodies can be focused on.

Also, any of the (literally hundreds) of available cm7 theme chooser themes will work, most skin the battery icon in some way.

[REQ] 1% battery mod for AOSP ROM

Hi, looking to see if anyone can help. I don't know anything about developing or making ROMs or mods. I was wondering if I can bother somebody to make a 1% battery mod in the notification bar on this ROM please. It's the AOSP one:

If not, I can always use circle battery widget. It's one less app/thing on home screens to worry about.
Please and thanks in advance.

Help with default battrey icon please.

I have searched and asked in the appropriate threads but no joy, how do I go back to the default battery icon in the top right corner, if I happen to install a rom, that shows the numeric battery percentage please?, I just want the default battery icon that doesn't show, the percentage number. I used to have a default battery mod, i used to use on gingerbread roms, but when I try and flash it on ics, my phone crashes, looking forward to your help, it might sound noobish, but I have searched, with no luck thanks in advance.

Anyone know of a battery indicator bar like this?

Back in the past on my Windows Mobile HTC Touch Pro, i had a battery indicator called VistaHide Battery Gauge v1.1.1 that looked like the photo I've attached.
I am wondering if anyone knows of a colored one for Android like it. I seen a screenshot somewhere (don't remember what forum) where someone was showing something on a screenshot and they had this bar. I messaged them but never received a reply to email and no longer know where I seen it. If anyone knows of one, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Some roms include the "miui battery bar" like viper Rom or miui (if you're into aosp roms). But there are apps like charge bar in the market that do it. Charge bar puts ads in your notifications though. T.E.A.M battery bar is nice too with no ads. They are restricted to one color at a time but you can change the color at certain percentages, I.e. less than 30% will be red, etc.

Yeah, I'd seen quite a few of them like that, but the screenshot I'd seen one guy post actually had the multi colors like the attached image. I don't know how he did it, and can't find the post I originally seen it on to try and contact him again. I guess I'll have to do without, but thanks though.

Hey ProtoProtoss, did you ever find this???
I would love to find the equivalent on Android as it is the most practical approach I have seen to battery level indication. I don't know why there are so many apps consuming valuable screen real estate and resources just to show a system statistic. The VistaHide model was beautiful by its use of the gradient coloring and idea of only consuming a few pixels. I am going to try the Battery Bar by TEAM, but it seems they don't know about or can't do the gradient.

I wish, but I never did. I have up eventually and asked the guy that created VistaHide if he could Perry it over or something, but he never responded. I loved that app too.

I tried the T.E.A.M. Battery Bar and it is close to the VistaHide functionality. I got in touch with the developer who advises that color gradient is in the dev pipeline. So there is hope yet for a VistaHide reincarnation
(now if we can only figure out how to remove the stock battery icon from the status bar)
Mine is fine...

For anyone who is still interested, the UCCW and Zooper Widget apps allow you to create this type of battery meter.
